Amazing gem of a restaurant on Bold Street. Some of the best authentic Turkish food that you will have! The Karisik contains the best of everything and they are not stingy at all with the portion sizes! The Beyti was also very nice though I’d recommend to ask for more garlic yoghurt. A complimentary starter of Turkish Grilled Bread is also served - grilled on the meats which gives it a unique smoky flavour! Be prepared to wait as they are always full!

Amazing food. This is by far the best Turkish food I have tasted in the UK. We ordered the prawns and sigara for starters and both absolutely delicious. We had a mixed grill for two for the main. The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly. The portion was HUGE which was great because we could enjoy it for another day. (We had half of the main meal left over). Controversial, but the rice was my favourite part. I could have eaten it till I popped. Ambiance was lovely and staff were pleasant. Lovely location.

An Exceptional Dining Experience. The vibrant energy and welcoming atmosphere is something to applaud for. Every dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident, and the attention to detail in the preparation truly elevated the dining experience. The staffs were outstandingly friendly and lovely. Their energy and friendly demeanor added to the overall positive ambiance of the restaurant. Also due to their exceptional customer service the restaurants are always full during weekends.

The restaurant stands up to its reputation. The food is all fresh, cooked to order, extremely tasty and of high quality. Far better than other Turkish restaurants in Liverpool. Staff is all very attentive, fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is nice and always full of people. I recommend booking before hand as it gets busy. Will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone who likes this type of food.

The food was delicious, but the restaurant was too crowded it would be better to book in advance or you I'll wait outside. The staff some of them were good but the others were bad and impatient. The space between the tables is too narrow. That was my first experience and it will be the last

Ate here twice while at Liverpool and it was just the best restaurant I went to during my 10-day stay. Food is amazing, we finished everything we ordered. The meatballs were really good, so was the halloumi. The chickpea rice is well seasoned and delicious. Even their salads were wonderful. They had good service as well. Would especially recommend the lunch deal that goes from 11-5 — Elif is always good value for money any time of day but *especially* during the lunch deal.

This is a mega busy restaurant in a chic area close to the shopping area in Liverpool centre. I thoroughly enjoyed Elif, especially for the lunch time menu which costs £10.95 for 2 courses. I got the soicy wings as a starter and meat moussaka as a main and had no complaints. They provide a nice salad with bread and dips complimentary and we had baklava with some beautiful ice cream to finish. If I had 1 complaint, I would say the bread could be better, but that's a small price to pay for some really delicious food. Will be returning definitely.

Authentic Turkish flavours really good food and attentive staff. Only disappointment was that I wish I sat inside with a baby but male waiter said no room- clearly there was as people were being seated inside. You would have gotten 5stars otherwise

Really enjoyed my lunch today, great food and lovely atmosphere. The meat was juicy and the chicken had that perfect charcoal taste. I would definitely go again.

So disappointed. The worst meal I have ever had in my whole life. The starter is not tasty the main is awful. This is the first time my boyfriend and I did not finish the food at a restaurant. The staff and service was particularly appalling, when asked about dietary requests they were completely unhelpful, DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE A FOOD INTOLERANCE. When asked by the manager why we had paid our bill and barely eaten the food, I informed him why to which he attempted to start an argument with me and my boyfriend. Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had hands down.

Personally, I think Elif is one of the best restaurants in Liverpool City centre. Their food portions are so big and worth the price. We had the lunch menu and I think we could have ordered only 1 set menu which will already fill up 2 people. The staff were welcoming too!

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant during my visit yesterday afternoon. Went in with my nanna who had been there before. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in liverpool, the food was far beyond my expectations :) Seats were comfy, table very clean, and atmosphere in the restaurant was great but quite loud. The open kitchen was good to look at and all the food looked great when it was being cooked on the grill. Toilets are good and are situated at the back of the restaurant. We had the lunch menu at 14.95 for 2 courses which was amazing value for money. My nanna had her usual liver to start with a chicken and lamb main. The liver and chicken were so good. Some of the tastiest chicken I have ever eaten. I myself had the grilled aubergine starter and vegetable moussaka. Our starter came accompanied by the some of the tastiest homemade bread I have ever eaten. Similar to focaccia. And the mains came accompanied by a tasty salad and dressing with carrots, cabbage, cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce. It was definitely a 5/5 dining experience but nothing is ever perfect. The initial greeter seemed a bit disinterested and I wouldn't want to be sat at the back 2 tables if I was a customer as they are situated extremely close to the toilets. But apart from that can't speak highly enough of this restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy Turkish or grilled food and you are in the area. Highly recommend :)

First time in Liverpool, asked door staff at a club where's a good place to eat and they all suggested Elif. The food, the staff, the atmosphere, and service were all absolutely top-tier. I was highly impressed by this restaurant, and I will be back for more good food. @jkasmusic

Expensive food, tiny portions for the amount of money they charge. 4 wings with some salad 6.50, £19.95 for 4 lamb small pieces and 4 chicken medium cubes with salad and aubergine sauce.uncooked /rare lamb pieces. Very welcoming staff member with beard who runs around making sure everyone is seated and served. Clean place good atmosphere but food is a joke and for display only.

Yesterday, upon arriving in Liverpool after a long journey from Wales, I was in search of a spot to enjoy some delectable food. I stumbled upon this establishment that boasted extended operating hours. The staff gave me a warm reception and graciously seated me, despite being a party of one. I was ushered to a pleasant corner of the restaurant. Soon after placing my order, I was treated to an exquisite and enticing salad, swiftly followed by an exceptional mixed grill that left me thoroughly satisfied. What an incredible dining experience and a hearty welcome to Liverpool—a city that I'm now contemplating a move to. If you find yourself indecisive about where to dine or are on the hunt for a great meal spot, hesitate no further; this is undoubtedly the place for you.

It's the best Turkish restaurant in Liverpool, and it has consistently left me absolutely delighted with the dining experience. I always order the beyti kebab, which is incredibly delicious. I've also tried many other grilled dishes, and they have all been exceptionally good. I highly recommend this place.

Best Turkish meal ever in Liverpool, meat grilled so well and piping hot, most meal comes with a side rice and grilled vegies. The bar staff are also so good different varieties of drinks, cocktails, and cocktails. Try the Apple Tea Be ready to wait up to half outside on the queue, it's like a hunt games to get in there.

When a restaurant is this good you can’t not write a review. Delicious food, well cooked and simply served, my photo doesn’t do it justice. Great service and lively atmosphere (it was Saturday after all). Be prepared to queue but definitely worth the wait. We will be returning here.

Very high quality restaurant in an excellent area of the city. The food is all made to order and is very fresh and cooked to perfection. There’s a great choice of food on the menu with Mezes, Full Meal options, kebab choices and much more. We were a hard group to find somewhere to eat as we needed somewhere Vegan Friendly and also able to accommodate Gluten Free. They had a full gluten free menu on request which had a huge choice considering some other places only give you a couple of options. The price was reasonable for the quality of food, the order was timely and the staff were very friendly so all in all top marks here nothing letting the place down.

Fantastic spot. The service is super quick and efficient, and I love that the restaurant is open plan and you can see the chefs cooking. The starters came quickly and were spectacularly good (recommend the baba ganoush, which came with pride bread). The aubergine main was a bit less good - quite mushy - but still nice. Recommended!

I am a particularly picky eater as I grew up in Nigeria and thus I am used to spicy food. I reluctantly agreed to go here with a few work colleagues half expecting that I wouldn’t like whatever we ordered. We ordered the Karasik platter for 3 and it was the most amazing thing I had ever tasted till date. They were so flavourful and rich and the meet was well seasoned and reminded me of home. I am definitely going to be going back there to try more things on their menu now! I definitely and absolutely recommend!

A popular place best to book a table and ensure you arrive on time or else they only allow 5 minutes. One of the players for two is good but the rice amount is excessive it can feed 4 people especially if you’re paying £33.

I went on a Saturday night. It was way too crowded, we had to wait a bit although we had a reservation and the staff looked quite stressed. Once they allocated us a table everything went perfect, the food was fast and delicious. Very big portions and good quality. Totally recommend!

The food was delicious. One of the best Turkish BBQ restaurants I’ve dined at. Just make sure you make a booking on busy days or else the waiting time is very long. Would highly recommend a visit 😋

It was amazing! As a Turkish, I have never eaten such a tasty Turkish food outside of the Turkey. I have visited the place 2 following day and I brought my foreign friends and every person enjoyed with the meal. Thank you very much!

The food is really delicious.. But atmosphere could be better and the music they play is so depressing.. And they may consider to add pide to their menu since it’s turkish classic..

  • 5/5 Nivedita N. 11 months ago on Google
Good good, prompt service. The menu was very exhaustive and a lot of options for chicken, lamb, seafood! Good options for a group and people with good appetite. It’s a popular place and the place was fully booked, all the tables were full. Yet the service was fast. That is saying something about the kitchen. Good quality food with good quantity. I would say don’t fill in your stomach with just the salads (it’s super tasty) order one plate for yourself from main-course. We ordered the chicken wings, Turkish tea, lamb/ chicken with aubergine and Turkish pudding with ice-cream.

  • 5/5 F T. 10 months ago on Google
Food is always great here, you can't go wrong. The chicken is so tender, it melts in your mouth. Top quality, the main dishes come with rice and veggies, making them a proper meal. They also bring some bread and salad for the table with your orders. Shame some of the waiters can be a little grumpy, took a while for someone to come get our order and the booking online did not seem to work, they told us it's a hit and miss. Luckily it was Tuesday night and they could squeeze us in.

Appetite is induced immediately once you enter the door...be prepared for the queue because it is always packed but it is worth queuing. I love every food they prepare and serve. Make sure you go there for a meal especially with family or for a date..❤..nice and friendly staff too...cleanliness is excellent. It is nice place for a birthday meal as well 💯

We turned up as walk-ins at 6.30. I explained to the guy on the door I wanted a table for 4 and we only had an hour. He assured me that if we ordered quickly we could be out in 20 minutes! He was true to his word. Our food arrived so quickly we were able to relax and enjoy it at our leisure. The food itself was delicious, tasty & plentiful. We left with 10 minutes to spare. They added a mere 5% service charge to the bill which we were happy to increase to about 15% as we were so pleased with the overall dining experience.

  • 5/5 Paweł S. 3 years ago on Google
The real deal. I've been to Turkey previously, so I guess that helps. The interior is nice and there's this massive charcoal grill inside, that fills the room with the nice, smoky smell. The staff is very nice and forthcoming. I had Adana with rice, my sisters had chicken shish equivalent (I don't remember the names), we also grabbed a cold mezze platter. Overall, Adana was good and the portion was generous. I can't speak of the chicken, cause I didn't have it, but my sisters seemed to enjoy it. Mezzes were good, but there's only that far the mezzes can go. The real killers were the rice and flatbread. Oh God, the rice! It was probably the best rice I had in my lifetime. Doused in broth and really big grain, wth perfectly cooked lentils thrown in. I devoured the whole tray of it and it was a big tray. The guys managed to make an artform out of rice. The bread was also great, very smoky from the oven and covered in spice. Complemented the mezzes super well. It was amazing fresh and crumbly. Later it was still tasty cold. 10/10. A bit pricey but you really pay for quality here.

  • 5/5 Eric D. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely amazing. Very friendly service, great outdoor seating on the street. We got the garlic mushrooms hot meze, the olives for cold meze, and one order of of the bbqed sampler (Karsiki?) to share. Was plenty of food for 2 and was amazingly delicious. The ground, seasoned meat and the lamb chops were the favorites, but everything was worth writing a review on. Finished with a lovely turkish coffee. Will definitely find this place again next time we are in Liverpool.

Incredible food, huge amounts. Staff was warm , welcoming, friendly, and funny. I wish we had found it earlier in our trip. I have celiac and they took very good care of me and brought out amazing gluten free pita style bread. The music only added to the atmosphere. Fantastic food and experience in an unassuming spot you might walk but shouldn’t!

Amazing food as always, but this visit on Tuesday 8th was like no other, not sure if it was because we haven't been so long since the lockdown but the Kasik for 2 was absolutely mind blowing!!!!! The wait and commercial service balance with the quality of the of the food served is main reason why it's not 4 or 5. Who should go : Meat Lovers who don not mind not drinking alcohol with their meal. For a conscientious vegans this place is your worst nightmare. The freshly baked bread, aubergine dips (Baba ghannoush or moutabbal) and Mossaka (Hot or cold) won't soothe your wounds. The hommus will deepen them. Best dish is obviously the equivalent to any mixed grill for 2. Variety of meats on a mountain of carbs (rice and thin bread retaining the heat of the rice ) soaked with fat dripping from the BBQ on top. It's Turkish, it's obviously Halal!

Came here last New Year and it brings back memories of a happier time. The food was incredible, the prices incredibly fair for what we bought. It was a little busy being New Year's Eve so don't expect that all year round, the staff are quick and the place is huge so you shouldn't have any trouble. Other than a debate with my Chinese friends about if Turkish or Chinese rice was better, we all agreed it was great. Portion sizes were massive too! Overall amazing, definitely come here if you get the chance!
