Very good and cheap always a bargain

Great for getting bits and bobs, sweets, treats and more at low prices... I spent £34 on Xmas shopping just the other Day! I couldn't help myself with a little last minute Xmas gift shopping!

Live it here, there's more to Ponteland than you expect. It now carries food an clothing all at great prices

Excellent prices and a very good range of products. Helpful and friendly staff.

Everyone knows what you can expect. But look a little deeper and genuine bargains are there to be had. In my case these were wild bird food. A good 40% less than many places.

The shop as a whole is ok but the staff herd you like cattle to a till point or self serve. They have no patience and as a wheelchair user I find this infuriating.

Got exactly what I went in for which was: white spray paint 2 x mesh oven trays Pair of oven gloves 2 x glass jars with bamboo wooden lids an matching bamboo spoon that sits in a holder on the side of the jar, really nice product! Although not everything was a pound I was pleased with the products and prices :)

Nicely sized shop, shame both sets of doors ain't in use with self-scan being in the way of 1 of the doors

Stocks about every conceivable thing from food to fashion wear? Most economical prices.

Pound is great. As we are in an energy crisis. I bought lots of candles. Cheap can't grumble.

New layout doesn’t work, lack of stock on shelves, staff aren’t helpful.

Can get some good bits but they should change its name as most things not a pound anymore

Can always find something here DIY or sweets or garden stuff and batteries are our main buy here.

Love having a nosy round poundland. Got some lovely plaques for my garden fence, you can pick up some really good bargains.

It has changed since I last came to this particular one but it is amazing with pep and Co at the back of the store it is better laid out. And the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

I would have given it 5 stars if not for the cashier who served me on the checkout. She had a very "couldn't care less attitude" and was very robotic. She made me feel unappreciated as a customer which is a shame because the actual store itself is a lovely store.

Not as good as it was .got to check prices as when you go to the till it changes more so got to complain .something on the shelf at £3 and you go to the till and it charges you £4 .shouldn't be called poundland no more

Previously it had a separate entrance and exit but now it's all in one. The other thing is usually you access the shop by walking up the left side of the shop but this one it's the right hand side, where all the drinks are and then you walk all the way round and there's lots of self service kiosks and one assistant serving (when I was there that is). It's a bit of a dodgems when you leave the shop as some people enter it by the right hand side of the entrance when we are leaving by that side and many others nearly walked into people when we were walking in, so it's not a great entrance system.

Good pound shop but have to watch what you have is a pound. As now two and four pound shop. All good with service staff happy and helpful

Excellent items for the Christmas dinner table. Lots of stocking fillers at reasonable prices. I always end up spending far more than I expect to. I bought all my Christmas day favours, after eight dinner mints, chocolate truffles, little note books and pens. I couldn't find silver note books so I bought some silver sticky back and covered the front of the book , they look fab.

Large shop, but I think problems with stock at moment so always looks quite sparse in particular sections. Very low on shoes in Pep and Co dept and kids clothes same sizes everytime I visit. Bought some Halloween bits, they're starting to get some Xmas stock out.

Cheap as chips and good range of products. Just can get rather crowded and tight spaces at times

Service is good though but not happy about paying £7 for 2 slices of tea bread on one plate to share I've never shared a plate when order was for 2 &I think £7 was extortionate
