I got in with a 3 mm object in the ear. I didn't want to try to remove it at home because I was afraid to put it more deep in the ear so I went to this health center. In the medical screening done by a nurse who did not give me any priority bracelet. after a while he called me to check my ear saying that the object would be very easy to remove because he could see it very well. He tried to remove it with a medical forceps and I end up bleeding, with pain and lack of hearing, he put the metal object even deeper. After this, he called the dr. and she tried to remove with a magnetic small tool but was already impossible so I had to go to Faro emergencies to be checked by a specialist. the specialist mention that the nurse did not pierce the eardrum but my ear was full of bruises, managed to remove the object without surgery but tried with 4 different methodologies without success. I did a 5 days treatment, but I still feel a lot of pain and I cant hear loud sounds.

The receptionist was extremely rude- as soon as we approached the desk she turned us away because my friend was wearing a crop top and she insisted that it was too revealing for her larger breasts. I was shocked and appalled that we were turned away from a public medical centre during a medical emergency. The receptionist didnā€™t even ask what was wrong and we were in need of medical attention. I still cannot believe how awfully we were treated when we were all fully clothed and very respectful to staff. I would not recommend this facility to anyone whatsoever.

Can't believe it's called an emergency!!?? Most of the time, there is no doctor for pregnant women or infants! The doctor gave injections without even mentioning what it was for and prescribed medicine, but the localĀ pharmacy didn't even serve that medicine as it's strictly prohibited for someone who is breastfeeding!! They were also surprised at how a doctor suggested that medicine! If it is your first time there without an SNS number, then you will be overcharged. Recently, they started charging everyone with an SNS number of ā‚¬14.99. āļøone star for emergency ! But if you have a family doctor or a doctor with an appointment, then itā€™s different. Obviously, there are some good doctors too, as I can clearly mention the name of Doctor Maria. She is really a great doctor for pregnant women.Ā āļøāļøāļøāļø 4 star For her . In addition, there is a male nurse for the baby who needs to be trained properly on how to treat a baby and also needs to learn the proper way to give injections to a baby. There are also other nurses, and they are fine, but only one male nurse who does not qualify as a baby nurse because of how he treats a baby. I hope the authoritiesĀ will take care of this and monitor them with proper training.

Not a very nice place to be, if you have an injured children ... they don't look more than two seconds at him - it's enough to categorize the urgency you know - and let him wait for more than four and an half houres only till now ... still waiting ... he's crying very hard and nearly throwing up because of his pain BUT NOONE CARES!!! We speak about a 7 Year old boy... I can't believe this is True!!! If you have any chance to go to another clinic, even if you have to pay privat, don't think - just do it !!!!!

Poor communication. Poor bedside manner. Phoning from UK, nurse hung up as was in handover. Daughter with chest area pain on a drip not allowed to lay on bed. No call bell , had to shout for assistance . NHS UK is the best

Covid19 test center should have opened at 8am on weekdays, didn't unlock the doors till 0830 and didn't see the first patient till 0900. Don't come early thinking you'll beat the rush, you'll be stuck outside waiting for people to turn up to work.

On Thursday 3rd August I attended the centre after dislocating my shoulder. The staff were courteous and I quickly saw a doctor he administered pain relief. I was unaware that this centre is the UK equivalent to a walk centre and does not deal with major trauma. It does have X-ray facilities. That said the doctor contacted an orthopaedic specialist who was travelling back from his days work at the local hospital. He was able to put my shoulder back in place. The staff couldnā€™t have been more friendly. During my time in the centre there were a number of drunks, I suspect that they see some pretty poor behaviour!! Using my Ehic card my bill came to 19 euro for the pain relief. I was given a prescription for painkillers and paid another 18 euros (3items) much cheaper than the uk. My experience was excellentšŸ‘ Thank you

Receptionist was friendly and helpful both before and after we were seen by medical staff. Seen by triage almost immediately and categorised by urgency. We were low urgency therefore had a longer wait than others but we were seen by a lovely doctor, given prescriptions and out the door within 3 hours.

Absolutely vile and arrogant reception lady with a complete lack of manners! Absolutely zero respect towards foreign patients. Looking for some basic health care and get treated like a piece of dirt.

My previous experiences have been great here. Unfortunately today when attending the facility, module 4, to vaccinate my two month old I was finally met by a receptionist unable to do her job. Firstly I arrived before my appointment which was for 1 pm.But after waiting more than 20 minutes in the que, having someone push in enquiring about baixa, did not help the already painfully slow service. When it was finally my turn I expressed my dismay, the receptionist told me to sit down and left her post. A few moments later she was replaced by a gentleman.Obviosly this angered me as she had not communicated that she was going for lunch, she had refused to take my details to deal with my appointment. It seems she is very hostile and unable to do her job. Needless to say a complaint was logged. Shame her attitude brings down the reputation of the institute. Everyone in the que witnessed her behaviour. Shame. Other than this incapable receptionist, my appointment proceeded more than efficient with the nurse.

Christmas Day visit after a fever ridden night of shivering and sweating. My friend Jim and my wife drove to this health centre. I was seen very quickly, with excellent Staff, care and attention. I was tested and a UTI was quickly diagnosed and prescribed for antibiotics. Full marks to the wonderfully efficient staff here on Christmas Day.

I called to ask for information to request a ID for healthcare and I was treated with lack of respect by an attendant without patience. I would like to be treated with more respect because weā€™ll pay for public services, this is unacceptable!

Unhelpful and rude!!! I came to Portugal for a holiday! sadly I was in pain and needed strong pain relief due to suffering with a medical condition. Iā€™m a U.K. citizen and do not hold a European card as we donā€™t get given any. The lady refused me medical care unless I pay Ā£64 euros!!! Thatā€™s the same price as private. They made my partner wait outside in the cold night. The security guard was ignorant and snobby!! The receptionist was so horrible itā€™s an actual joke! What happens if I had an asthma attack and I donā€™t have that kind of money for appointment? I dread to see what would happen!!! Makes me appreciate my health care at home NHS where we donā€™t pay but you get the best care!!!!!! Thanks for nothing. Hereā€™s to enjoying my holiday in agony.

Took my daughter to this Health Centre this morning at 10.50am. The Receptionist was lovely with great English. Took the E111 details and passport details. We were seen first by a lovely nurse who had excellent English. After 20 mins my daughter was seen by the Doctor, also with great English. We were out the door at 11.30am.Its a similar set up to A&E in Ireland. Fantastic service- no complaints at all. Would give 10 stars.
