The best experience with a rental car agency!! Super polite and the best price in Lisbon (almost twice cheaper than other website). The car, as you can see in the photos, was in a perfect condition and new, and was working really good (we got a new Volkswagen Polo - 95cv). It had all the useful optional, as parking assistant, android auto, start and stop Ans several other stuff. Good for 4 people. I recommend to take also the full insurance (it's a really good price) and the Via Verde if you will take the high way. Next time I'll be in Lisbon I'll come back here again. Totally recommend!!

Affordable and easy car rental. Everything would be fine only if the air conditioning in the vehicle worked, which was quite annoying when traveling through the south of Portugal. All in all the car was just fine and the service fast and efficient.

Great friendly service. Fair price, if booked in advance online. Got the requested car in clean condition, the car was almost new so it seems they keep the fleet fresh. Took no insurance, so had 1200e deposited and returned immediately after car checkup. Office conveniently located so driving out of city is easy. Airport nearby, so we were given a ride there. Can recommend!

Getting the car was smooth. You can pay by debit card and that’s a plus. The experience was completely ruined by the rudest employee you can imagine. The woman working there is rude, lacks basic customer service skills and even low key tried to charge us for things that were only in her head. She wanted to charge us extra because we had dogs in the car saying that this classified as “bad usage”. When asked where in the contract I could find this rule she just said “it’s just not normal usage”. On top of that - with the rudest tone - she even tried to say the tank wasn’t full when it CLEARLY was. Okay, sure, if you want to steal money just say it. Her attitude is just not right and her manners are bad. The other guy working there had to be involved and he was nice and reasonable. If you rent a car there make you sure you don’t deal with the female employee.

We had a very good experience with Olivauto. We booked some weeks in advance : good price compared to the other car rentals, even with SDWC. (We also recommend to take the toll device which is very useful). The car was in excellent condition, no bad surprises. Very nice staff, everything went well for check in and check out, they even gave us a lift to the airport. We will definitely book with them next time we return to Lisbon.

We had a relatively good experience with this car rental company for a 5-day rental and received a VW Cross (bigger car than we had reserved for but it was okay). The car was clean but the service was incredibly slow, which was fine. We returned the car, the contract was already charged, the tolls (which we agreed to pay in the contract) were paid afterwards and the tank of gas was filled up to full (8/8 bars). The lady mentions that they need to take the car to clean and its not likely at FULL, if the full bar drops to 7/8, they will charge the amount to fill 1/8 of the tank (which makes no sense because I'm no longer using the car at this point and how do you know how "full" the actual gas tank was when it showed "full" when I received it - absolute subjectivity). Fine, then I get a $47 (32 EUROS) charge 16 days after I return home without any communication, receipt, invoice or reason. I already disagree with their random arbitrary charging back of customers for their own use of the car but there is no way 1/8 tank costs 32 Euros even at a ridiculous car rental agency price. I will dispute as fraud with my credit card - renters beware because seems like the reviews did suggest this happens often.

Nice guys, but for the simplest car they took a deposit of 300 euros for “wheels and interior.” Insurance for 8 euros per day. Although I asked if there would be additional payments in addition to rent. In the end, the insurance came in handy and the deposit was returned without any problems.

My wife and I just returned our 6 day VW rental car and couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of service (thanks Fernando), the quality of car (virtually brand new), and the value for money. So glad we found Olivauto and avoided the big commercial companies. Such an easy, pleasant, and enjoyable experience. I wish all rental companies were like this.

This was our first time visiting Lisbon and Olivauto was everything we needed! The car was in lovely condition and reliably got us from Lisbon, to the Algarve, and all the way up to Porto! The price and paperwork were very reasonable and easy to do. Customer service was excellent! We had a minor issue with our vehicle. We called the office and was given quick and effective help to solve our troubles! On top of all this, Fernand was a great help to us on our final day. I was feeling under the weather and wasn’t able to drive back to the airport after dropping off the car. He took us to the airport and helped filled up our tank, really saving us in a pinch! Couldn’t recommend more, incredible experience, great service and honest people.

A good no-fuss car rental, prices are quite OK in the market today. Polite and mean business. I got a VW Polo for 3 days, everything was smooth and easy - both pickup and handover. I added insurance; had no attempts to be charged extra for anything. Much better than those big companies with queues in the airport.

We had rented a 7 seater for 2 days. No complains, super service offered. Everything was hassle free and quick. Definitely recommend.

If renting a car with them, be careful! I don't know if the staff is really confuse and unprepared or if they are trying to make some easy money at the expense of customers. When you make the reservation, you will get a price that is different than the price they will charge you when picking up the car. If you don't realise the price is different and ask them to change it, you will pay more. They also say in their website that debit cards are allowed and if you buy the CDW insurance, your excess drops to €9 a day, wich is not true! They will charge you €400 in cash for deposit even with full insurance, so get prepared for that! After returning the car they won't give your deposit back unless you ask for it! We didn't feel comfortable from the begging to end!

We rented a new car for about 10 days while touring Portugal. No issues with the car. The price was significantly less than the popular car rental companies. They were extremely easy to correspond with from the US. Very nice people. Would use them again.

Guys who want to spend good time in all Portugal, personally recommend this car rent company. I got almost new VW Up. Nice car, comfortable driving and after 1600 km eats small amount of gasoline. No deposit needed. Price is about 30€ per day. Recommend avoid toll roads on google app and try to ride through old towns of Portugal. I was very glad. Thx

Good car, friendly staff, quick reservation and reliable! You don’t need a credit card to rent a car, you just leave 300€ cash deposit that you get back (if everything is fine with a car) and a debit card for the electronic tolls. Would recommend.

After a few good experiences- Didn't have the car I ordered. Had to go for a more expansive bigger car. They got the KM written wrong by 100 km and charge you 25(!) Euros for filling up 1 liter of fuel. Was good before, now will look for other options.

Amazing experience. We rented a class B car (VW Polo/Seat Ibiza). Cars are only 1 year old, clean and presentable. Amazing rent prices, better than Hertz, rentacar etc. And deposit is only 300 euros cash or they just put a hold on credit card. Would recommend.

We rented with Olivauto twice during our holiday and it was a really reliable, smooth process. They were nice to us and didn't try to charge us anything that wasn't in the contract upon return (referring to people that said this in the comment, we can not relate, everything was honest and upfront). We would come here again.

Everything went great. I've rented a car for 10 days and there were no issues whatsoever. The car had around 70k km on it and It had a lot of bents and scratches, but functioned as it should. Just make sure to take a lot of photos of the car. I've got my deposit back without any issues Recommend 100%

Great service. Reserved the car via their website, came at the scheduled time and got the car. No issues with return either. One note: if you want to rent a Via Verde transponder, you would still need a credit card.

Quality service. Car we got was new. No complications, everything went smooth. Prices are quite reasonable. I booked car just one day up-front. I don't own credit card (use only debit) so I had to insert cash deposit of 300eur but that's probably same for other rentals. Overall we were happy with this rental.

Really recommend to take lots of detailed pictures prior to rental. Just been charged an arbitrary EUR 180 for a minor scratch that was already there on the 43000 km vehicle. Feel like I am not the only one being scammed.

I could not have had a better car rental experience. I have been renting all over the world and this definitely was the best. 1. We arrived at Lisbon airport and the (super friendly) guy was waiting for us in the arrival hall. 2. The car was parked in parking 2 which is only a few meters walking 3. The car was not brand new (75000km) and had quite some damages, but I actually prefer this over a brand new car that can get easily scratched etc. The car itself drove super nice and worked as should the entire trip. 4. When driving back to lisbon airport, we parked in the same parking 2, and the same guy was there to collect the keys etc. All in all such a smooth and perfect experience. No need to get on a bus to go to a separate office, no waiting in a line!!! Some remarks for improvement: - if you make a booking with them on their website, the reservation is not instantly confirmed. This could be more clear and the company should do a proper follow up before arrival date. I only found out a day before that my reservation was still pending. - the baby seat we got was quite worn out and dirty. - the excess insurance of 10 eur a day is not that expensive, but too much for a car that is already a bit older (scratches all over). I will definitely recommend this car rental company to anyone visiting Portugal.

Great car rental company. I have used them in September 2022, no issues, clean car was ready on time despite high tourist season, no pressure to purchase insurance, very reasonable prices, convenient located near bus and metro stations. Very polite staff.

typical car rental scam, i was surprised because i had read the good reviews. when i arrived at the office with a confirmed booking, after waiting for some time to prepare the contract, they suddenly tell me that i can either buy insurance or leave a 1600€ deposit. and even with the insurance you still have to leave 300€ deposit in cash, and they don't accept debit cards for this. none of this was mentioned during the booking process. i left without a car having wasted time.

Car and price very good. However, the service is not good. Drop-off was booked at the airport. An hour beforehand we were called that we had to drop off the car in Lisbon city and then be taken to the airport...the employee in the office was very unfriendly. Ultimately we had to follow an employee to the airport in our rental car. Everything was very complicated, unplanned and incredibly time-consuming. We got to the airport just in time. I can't recommend the car rental company.
