I am always a huge fan of Zara Home, but yesterday I was so disappointed. I went to the store to buy a blanket for my little Yorkie. I have seen the blanket in store before and on the website. I approached a beautiful young shop assistant and proceeded to explain in Portuguese that I can unfortunately not speak Portuguese (I am learning and therefore know a lot of words but I'm not able yet to make a conversation). The shop assistant then informed me in perfect English "I do not speak English sorry" and promptly turned away. Not even trying to refer me to another assistant. I proceeded to try and explain with some Portuguese words what I wanted. She replied in English that there were no dog blankets and proceeded to show me on her phone that there were only dog beds. Long story short, I then went onto the website and showed her what I wanted (the blankets were in the storeroom of the shop. I know this is Portugal, but I also know that this is Cascais when MANY foreign residents. I accept that maybe her English is limited, but hopefully her manners is not limited.
