I'm very late on sharing this story but want to say how wonderfully personal their service is! We're a couple of American's who call Porto home now. I was traveling over mother's day (which is a different date in PT vs US) meaning our family would be in the three different countries on that day. I wanted to have something fun delivered and, being new to the area, was struggling for ideas. On a whim I reached out to Bar of Soap. Pedro (one of the owners) was amazing! Said of course they could help! Pedro put the cocktails together and delivered them personally - working with me to take the payment electronically and navigating the delivery instructions perfectly (our place is a bit hard to find). It wasn't until later that I learned that Bar of Soap weren't even opened that day - Pedro did all this on their day off! As you can see from the photo, the love for what they do was obvious and the attention to detail was impeccable. So grateful for the help that day - thank you Pedro!

One of the best bars in Porto and one of my favourite ones Me and my girlfriend we adore to come here and have a few drink the vibe is always so cool and everyone is super nice! A great place to hang out and meet interesting folks. They have amazing snacks and asian food. Everyday has an event for writing, books, boardgames and open mic. In addition, the place has a great balcony and amazing sofa to just sit and relax. They also a small library with books and boardgames that you can use for free while enjoying a beer.

What a great place! I walked in right at 17:00 when they opened and was welcomed cheerful by Pedro. I found out later he was the owner. He’s kind and friendly and extremely welcoming. Within an hour there were people there from 6 different cities. Enjoying a nice selection of beers other than Super Bock as well as good wine and cocktails. Bar of Soap is welcoming queer space with a sense of community and the feeling that “all are welcome here.”

Bar of Soap it’s one of the best bars in Porto! The service is a 20, Pedro and Nino are excellent persons and excellent bartenders, the music is amazing, and the price/quality ratio is the best! Recommended!

I came once and I kept coming every day. The bar is really cute with a very relaxed atmosphere and a very friendly crowd. There is a really nice upstairs room with a balcony which I only found out about on my later visits. I came alone most of the time but I found it exceptionally easy to talk to people around. The staff were always super welcoming too. Sometimes they also host drag shows, djs and other events! I recommend this place so much. Come for great drinks and a good time.

Nice interior but thats almost everything this Bar can offer. They sell Craft beer, the worst beer you could sell in a country where they brew some of the best beer sorts ever. Whatever go here and have fun sitting in a nice chair with bad brewery.

Had a wonderful time here. It was drag bingo night and the atmosphere was just so infectious. The queen who hosted it was funny and entertaining. The place wasn't overcrowded at midnight, which was nice so you can sit and still have a chat or move around. Drinks are cheap too. The person who greeted us in made us feel welcome immediately, like a friend who was expecting you. Just a wonderful place full of happy and welcoming vibes that you'll want to go to when you're in town.

Stylish bar in the heart of Porto

I came to Porto with my partner of 8 years and we had no expectations to find a bar of this quality. We searched local gay bars on trip advisor and Google. The reality is there are a lot of bars that are ‘gay friendly’ in Porto but Bar of Soap is gay run and most importantly, has gay clientele. We walked into the bar on our first night in porto and came back every night it was open for the entirety of our trip (7 days). Pedro & Diogo made us feel very welcome and were helpful with local recommendations to give us a taste of the real Porto.

Love coming to Bar of Soap! A fun, quirky vibe, with well made drinks. Downstairs (ground level) bar, with an upstairs space and balcony. The drag nights are packed! A bear night was hosted not too long ago that was great! Perfect bar to spend some time at before heading out to the dance clubs later in the evening. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and inclusive!

Best LGBTQ bar in Porto ♥️ Not only the drinks are great, but the staff is super friendly and everyone really makes you feel at home. As a bonus they also host great parties and have the best drag shows around!

This is such a great bar! We stopped in twice during our trip to Porto. There's a nice selection of cocktails. The owner of the bar was so friendly and even helped us with a dinner recommendation. I highly recommend this bar.

Fantastic bar with amazing staff and owner. We ended up there on a Wednesday evening and met the warmest, kindest people. The drinks are also reasonably priced. Gutted we couldn't make it for the weekend drag shows.

I came here 2 nights in row - Fri and Sat. Both were fun, especially Saturday, when they had a drag queen performances. A variety of cool cocktails, and a very nice atmosphere and ambient!
