Experience was good but can be better with some more add ons. General expectation from a city like Mumbai.

The gardens are beautiful. The animals look sad (which is probably common for most zoos). As foreigners we paid Rs400 (locals pay Rs50) and about 70% of the enclosures were empty or under construction.

It was ok considering Mumbai's cramped spaces. Animal presence can be increased. Penguins were the stars but security hardly gives any time to observe them better.

Good with a place with a feel of nature and fresh air. Best place to see animals and birds from close distance. It also has a park section for kids to enjoy. 50rs entry tickets. Easy to enter if you have booked online tickets.

Nice and well maintained zoo with all the amenities. Very cheap entry tickets but the zoo restaurant is a bit expensive although the cafe is really nice.

The zoo premises are kept exceptionally clean. We went on a weekday (there were few school groups but they were well taken care of by their teachers and were not wandering around). The place was relatively empty. Some animals were β€œcoming soon”. But all in all - a good experience. Tickets can be bought at the counter (no need to book online). Senior citizens are free entry. No single use plastics allowed and they check before you enter. Will definitely go again. Nice place for peace and quiet too.

Not that great. Good place if you visit in groups/ bigger family. Carry water all along. Price of foods in food court is slightly on higher side.

Crocodile park guard behavior is very bad or the way of speaking is not correct at all.

Byculla Zoo in Mumbai offers a diverse array of wildlife in a historic setting. The heritage structures and well-maintained enclosures enhance the overall experience. While some areas could benefit from additional maintenance, the zoo provides an educational and enjoyable outing for families and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
