Worst management in all respect. This hospital is more interested in how to clear the patient's pocket as much as possible rather than patient service. Here the price of daily tea is taken separately from the patient. And the interesting thing is that only in this hospital the discharge certificate has to be taken from the pharmacy. The reason is clear. Many more strange reasons are presented here in various ways, which are difficult to find any logic. There are abnormally more security workers than health workers here. Security guards are even posted outside drug stores. The reason is easy to understand. Authorities are always afraid of their own actions. Service is very careless they don't even wanted to patient name and put late before the name.

They used to harass to the patient party, this is their job over services to the patient. I was wearing N95 Mask but they are forcing u to buy the surgical mask from their pharmacy which is less safe than N95 mask. You have to buy gloves which is good I agree but this how they are making their business. If I am reviewing about patient's care and service I will suggest think twice, thrice, infinity times before admit your patient here. Their services are poor. Patients are not getting their discharge on time when doctor already released the patient. Management is very poor than expectations. My Admitted patient is informing me next day at 1 O'clock at night those workers who are working there they used to laugh nd do chit chats in high voice which is not expected inside of a hospital. I had very worst experience to be very honest... *** Opinions are individuals, and it's different from person to person, at least my Patient nd we have worst experience here.

B.P.Poddar Hospital is located in New Alipore. This hospital is located behind the famous Durga Puja Suruchi Sangha in Kolkata. The medical system here is quite good and all kinds of diseases are treated here. This hospital is clean and the security system is very good. All types of medical facilities are available in this hospital and health partner card facilities are also available here.

This hospital is not worth giving one star. My relative was admitted there due to blood loss in stools. This hospital released my relative after 21 days saying his condition is stable. Within 12 hrs, my relative died. Before his death, same symptoms was observed. After keeping patient for these many days, they were unable to find the root cause of the problem. It seems if someone wants his patients to die, this is the most suitable place for treatment.

I came here because of my grandfather's heart attack. He was going through a very critical condition. Then doctors consult us about bypass surgery. Finally my grandfather feels better after this surgery. After admission I notice that the treatment is very good and mosTy the care they provide to the patient is admirable. Hospital is clean and safe. Adamant Security checking.

The worst hospital at Kolkata. They just have money minded and no proper team are available for an emergency situation. They are very casual with a patient in the emergency crisis and failed to give a proper treatment. Very much dissatisfaction and really hopeless as the intentionally singed a MLC form which was totally unknown at the time of admission. I had done the admission of my mother in law with a breathing problem but she only survived half a day,as it was a Saturday no proper senior doctor was available and the other team put her into ventilation once I left the hospital at 10pm. That time she was little better than her prior condition. We received a call at 12am and once we reach she was already onto ventilation She expired at night but the hospital doctors and management personnel told us that we can only get her once the otopsy has been done. The next day was really pathetic for us and we just spent with a mental trauma. Never ever suggesting anyone for this hospital.

Very bad experience. I walked out without visiting the doctor. They asked for extra 100 rupees for patient registration for which they are not suppose to charge any cost. They said that appointment is fixed via telephone call, there's no need to book online. When I went to the hospital they kept me waiting n didn't informed the right time of the appointment. There was no appointment fixed. You have to visit the hospital and pay the fees then only they will provide you the serial number for your appointment. They will not book any appointment through telephone which they will never inform.

One of the worst Private Hospital I have experienced. Unfortunately I have to visit there frequently as it's the closest CGHS empanelled hospital and I must take my mother to this hospital whenever she gets into emergency medical situation (she is an acute DPLD patient). The admission may take upto 4-6 hrs whether in COVID situation or not and so is Discharge. None of the staff are polite to patient relatives and they don't communicate to relatives in case of any news (discharge information, doctors availability or change of Bed). Lastly they surprised this last time by monetizing the food menu. Now patients are only served an egg in lunch and dinner as source of protein and fish or chicken are priced just as any Commercial Hotel (fish - Rs.125/- a dish). I don't need to mention how they keep patients unnecessarily just to add weight to the medical bill. An ultimate shameless Organization exploiting people at the most. God bless all those helpless person who do not have a second choice better than B. P. Poddar Hospital.

One of the worst hospital that there is! The administration is one of the worst which has enabled the presence of the worst service that can be expected. They have kept multiple small chambers to ask for assistance (but they don't actually assist but does the opposite) - like "Patient Service Desk" which consists of misbehaving arrogant young people, who are inept at their job, just like the culture that has been presented there. Needless to say our experience, recently, was harrowing. One of the most expensive private hospitals in Kolkata, their service reminds me of bad functioning government hospital. They do anything and everything to take as much money as possible from the patients. If you admit a patient without medical insurance or Sasthya Sathi, then you are screwed. Our experience with doctor was also bad. Our patient was put under the care of Mr. Anindyo Maitra, and we can speak to him once a day, that too not knowing exactly, as he used to delay it as per his wishes, just like any other doctor there. He behaved very rudely with us and other patients and their families, which is not necessary. He delayed discharging our patient (even though he was fine, but he needed to do more "tests" to be sure), just for the sake of extracting more money from us. They kept a patient of vertigo for 7 days, with 100s of tests and no proper diagnosis and showered us with rude behaviour and huge bills (even though we had mediclaim). We had heard of the expensiveness of this organisation, but honestly didn't expect the other issues. We definitely DO NOT recommend this hospital to anyone.

Either GO TO government hospital!!!OTHER HOSPITALS TAKE FULL TREATMENT IN ONE DAY BILL AMOUNT. in my opinion Middel class family please don't ever GO B P PODDAR HOSPITAL. VERY BAD

The most appalling hospital in all of Kolkata. I had brought my mother there for an angiography, but the entire management team had such a condescending attitude. Even after spending so much money there, the operating room was so unsanitary; after finishing the angiography of the patient who had come before my mother, they did not even clean the room, leaving all the visible blood and discharge. After seeing it, a patient who was already anxious before the procedure will feel even more anxious. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE OR REFER ANYONE TO IT. Mr. Prasenjit Sarkar, their security chief, is the worst possible person and has no idea how to speak to someone else or a lady.

Very bad hospital All they care for is money. Receptionist has very bad and careless attitude. Doctors are not good. Management is very bad. My mother was admitted in Covid CCU.. her health deteriorated and ultimately we lost her due to their callous attitude. We wanted to transfer her to another hospital for better treatment, at first they refused the transfer, ultimately when we forcefully did the transfer the management forced us to write the cause of transfer as financial. But the cause of transfer was better treatment in a better hospital but they prohibited us to write that. Money minded hospital who want to maintain good reputation but they actually have none.

Worst experience ever. Absolutely mismanaged, low quality staff and a chaotic system. The hospital is most interested in fleecing money and not at all bothered about the quality of service. Doctors are also a part of the system being reluctant to know what is going on outside the chamber. The staff/ management thinks that sick people are idiots or helpless and they have nowhere to go. Asking about the details in your prescription and quoting an exorbitant amount for tests/ diagnosis is a practice here as if you don't have any other place to go for it. I will never visit this place although it is within the stone throwing distance from my place.

Rooms n beds are very modern, upto date, clean n hygienic. Not very reasonable but, as Compared to few very expensive average hospitals, its one of the best.

A multi speciality hospital with various amenities. OPD, Emergency and all other wards are always full. The doctors are super and also the nursing and helping staffs are trying their level best to cater the crowd. It has few refreshment options as well like cafeteria and small small kiosks. Space is an issues as it would have been better if the hospital could expand its infrastructure/building.

Very pathetic experience we had. This hospital called them multi speciality hospital but they don't have MRI scan machine. No good doctors are there. This hospital is not suitable for any emergency and critically ill patients.. B P poddar hospital only can do advertisement but they don't have good doctors to treat well the patients . doctors here are having very less experience and don't know how to do give treatment to any critically ill patient. They will do lot of test each day untill patient alive but they are incapable to find cause of the problem.

Most worst hospital I have ever seen in my life. I have admitted my mother . She is of 72 years age. Here in this hospital doctors and nurses don't know how to behave with an old lady of 72 years. At first they should be trained properly to give proper treatment to any old people .

They don't even deserve 1 star also. Yesterday my father was admitted to the hospital for CAG test. For that reason we went there at 7.30am in the morning. After waiting for long time near about 11hrs at 6pm they told us we have to wait another 2hrs for the test. They have zero professionalism. Worthless thirdclass hospital I have ever seen. After waiting all these times doctor who should perform the test din not show up at the hospital. This hospital should loose it's license.

I am a CGHS Pensioner card holder on 14.09.23 my son was admitted to this Hospital due to Kidney Stone and accordingly they admitted him and started immediate necessary treatment and ultimately, he was discharged after full recovery on 22.09.23. I will give this Hospital full marks for showing good and polite behaviour and after all the best treatment. This Hospital authorities deserves five star rating in my opinion.

My grandmother had stroke and we admitted her there. They released her as a half dead person with rice tube. On the released day they called us and said that they were releasing her in that evening. We had requested them that we were not such experienced that how to treat a patient with rice tube so, we had asked to give us one day time for the arrangement of one nurse and other equipment. They did not listen to us. They gave us a 5 min KT. May be they thought we all have enough knowledge with nursing training and released my grandmother. Now she is no more.

Giving this 1 start just to write down the review. This hospital does not deserve any star. 1. Worst Administration 2. Horrible People 3. Do not care about patients, let alone people. 4. Blood thirsty, bribery blind, soul-less people in the administration. They demanded 70 K cash, in hand, from a patient with shasthaswati card, who, cannot afford much but required immediate treatment or else they threatened not to admit or treat the patient. When the patient party talked to the shasthaswati department, they were awestruck to hear that the hospital is demanding money which they were not supposed to. And for having this query, they dragged the patient along with the patient party out of the hospital, refused to admit or treat the patient. What kind of people are these? they're sitting in the place that claims to save people, instead, they're trying to make money out of people's misery!! T

My mother was admitted to B P Poddar Hospital in Kolkata for two days, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite being a well-known hospital with a big brand, I found the service to be subpar, and the communication among staff members was poor. The security guard knew about my mother's bed number being changed, but the warden was unaware. Before the admission, the staff seemed helpful, but once we were there, they were unresponsive and didn't answer our questions. Moreover, the hospital's management seems to be more focused on advertising through Facebook and offline marketing than providing quality care. They promise a lot, but the reality is far different. During her stay, my mother faced several issues. We were only allowed to visit for 15 minutes, and there was no connectivity to the outside world. The nurses refused to provide my mother with medication, and they even denied her the chance to take a bath and change her clothes. I believe that marketing is not the only way to gain popularity. As a patient, I think it's important to be heard and for hospitals to take reviews seriously. I hope that B P Poddar Hospital improves its services and prioritizes the comfort and well-being of their patients in the future.

This hospital deals with patients of almost all the streams of modern medicine including emergency and plan cases. Well equipped operation theatre facility is available including good ICU and ITU facility. Outdoor patient department and Patient Service department are also available with good experts. The nursing and support staff were on their toes...very very professional yet polite and friendly. The service and care here has been very good too. Everyone has been polite, friendly and professional. The overall hygiene and cleanliness of the place is top notch. Services and facilities are also very good.

It is a very well equipped hospital located just opposite New Alipore College in Kolkata. They deal in a large number of speciality cases. All types of Patient Card like WBHS, CGHS,Swasthya Sathi and Medical Insurences are accepted here. They have very well equipped Operation Theaters as well as ICU facilities . OPD has very good and renowned doctors available. The nursing staffs in Both IPD and OPD are very attentive, skillful and polite. Now comes the worst part. The worst part of the hospital is the front desk. They do not think patient parties as human being at all. Their behaviour is too rude. It is the case in OPD Reception also. Except the face of the hospital(front desk executives) everything including infrastructure, cleanliness, service is top notch.

I would give this hospital negative stars if I could. All they do is look for excuses to put the patient in ICU and keep them there to make money. This hospital is not equipped to perform complex testing like biopsies. So please save your money and mental peace and take you loved ones elsewhere if you can.

The most frustrating aspect of this hospital is the slow pace of treatment. Whether it's a BCCL case or any other regular patient, the reports for cancer patients take about 10 days to arrive. In today's world, timely reporting is crucial for patient survival. Waiting for 10 days for a report raises serious concerns about the patient's chances of recovery. Moreover, losing a patient under these circumstances does not instill confidence in the hospital's efficiency from my perspective.

Worst hospital to reach out to in case of ANY PROBLEM OF THE SMALLEST KIND EVEN. This is just a money making graveyard, which aims to kill it's patients after recovering huge sums of money in name of fake tests and generic medicines. Nurses are abusive and mistreat patients, doctors are strange and cannot diagnose, I can bet for multiple doctors in there who don't know what treatment to give. If you want to kill your patient, admit them to this hospital. They are expert at that bcoz treatment toh unhe aati nahi hai. All victims must come together to take this hospital to court and get the licence cancelled. Such hospitals like b p Poddar are corona to the society. Killing everyday and no one can do anything . Licence must be cancelled and staff must be punished under strict medical laws. Worst hospital than any other in the entire city if kolkata.

I have undertaken septoplasty + FOL (laryngoscopy) on 13/01/19 at BP Poddar hospital , but they missed to mention "FOL" in the discharged certificate, infact even literally in no where. Despit being a patient who just undergone surgery have to run several desks from Commercial to discharge cell to patients service department for 3 hours continuosly. Received illbehaviour and non cooperation! Have been directed to visit consumer court. They don't even have any cell for addresing patients grievances.

The hospital and administration is really good but few doctors are very rude to CGHS beneficiary. Dr .Shantanu Mukherjee (dermatologist)is very rude to CGHS Patient and keep on prompting that he don't want to see CGHS referred patient .Just because of administration order he is bound to do treatment of CGHS patient else he don't want CGHS patient in his OPD.I don't understand why administration keep such doctors who are biased with patient just because CGHS beneficiary are not paying doctors fees directly.

Another vulture hospital in the news. Covid treatment bill has come Rs.8,29,999/- which includes general bed and medicines. Come on morons, get yourself prepared. The management of this hospital needs to be bashed left and right for taking advantage of Covid for minting money.

Very dissatisfied with the behaviour and services during lockdown period. They didn't allow me to take dialysis for 1 month during this lockdown period. So I changed hospital to Kothari Medical Center. The charge of dialysis in Kothari is inclusive of Tiffin as well as CBG test as and when required. But here in B.P.Poddar, everything is chargeable. The R.O water of B.P.Poddar hospital is worst. So I used to have rigors ( serious shivering). But in Kothari hospital R.O water is very good. No rigors since last 2 months. Think carefully before going into this hospital.

Worst hospital ever! Recently they knowingly made wrong diagnosis for exploiting the patient. Patient main problem was not even looked into however, they made a diagnosis of a different problem which was not even there in the patient. They did all kinds of tests which were not required at all. Therefore, these pvt hospitals are hungry for money in this lockdown situation. warning for the public. I think there license should be cancelled for the above alleged 'crime', which is also against the medical ethics as given by the medical council. Legal steps will be taken against this. Further many tests which were conducted, reports of those tests were not handed over even after discharge. Which clearly indicates they are hiding something.

If there was a option for 0 star , I would have given that. Tremendous high cost and staff behaviour is extremely bad. From security guard to normal staff everyone seems irritated whatever you ask. No system is followed. I went there to be admitted but after experiencing this i came back without getting admitted. Their packages for treatments are like robbing people. They are even reluctant to explain their package cost and wont even tell how much cost it will be if you dont go for packages. Will not recommend to anyone, dont waste your hard earned money.

My mother was admitted in this hospital after breaking of femur. They helped us to admit her in ECHS card in emergency condition. They are very helpful . Pacemaker was fitted after detection of BP fall . Femur replacement done . She came back home . But on 09072019 she expired after SEPTICSHOCK. Pacemaker had infection. Good Points- 1) Affordable pricing 2) Cleaniness 3) Good patient service 4) Cheap and clean canteen for all Area need to be improved- 1) Online admission system 2) Better Android app & display 3) Restroom for Emergency patients and operation waiting 4) More specialist RMO & OPD 5) Bettter parking area 6) Electronic display with Operation & patient name in Ground floor 7) Latrine are limited. Although new bathroom has been constructed in Ground floor .

Pathetic experience. Even though it was not that serious they forced to admit and haven't started treatment until we forced to. They treat a patient party only a money making machine! They treat with unnecessary antibiotic injection that costs 6K multiple times to raise bill. Don't bother how the medication will affect the patient. If you have mediclaim they will try to bill the whole amount. They casually delay treatment and tests so that they bill more. We literally had to beg for a discharge even though no treatment was going on. Still there are very few good people work there who helps. But certainly not recommended!

Worst experience forever. The quality of doctors, behaviour of stuffs as well as doctors, services everything is very bad. Never try for this hospital ever otherwise they will make your life hell. My mom was admitted just for a hernia operation. After the operation just for the negligence of the nursing stuffs her whole abdomen got infected which spread to her lungs also. She was admitted into ICU for 4 days. It was a life and death condition and in this situation their response was very very poor. Also the doctors behaviour was very rough. They even don't know how to talk with the patient's family members. When we have asked for the post operation test report, their response was, you can go to outsider diagnostic centre for it. They cost for the hernia operation package was Rs/- 19800, but for their negligence my mom need to admit for 13 days long and billed Rs/- 156000. They even not care about the dressing of a female patient, I am not able to post the pic here but they weared a torn cloth to my mom and after objection to the patient service desk they changed it. Their was no single nurse with the patient at night time and their saying was if any requirement patient need to ring the bell. This is the actual condition of this hospital. The outside look is very good which is a trap nothing else.

One of the most least coordinating hospital, The staff is almost clueless about anything going around. While the patient is admitted it's difficult to consult the doctor, even after complaining a million times the administration does nothing! The patient service helpline's behavior is worst. The most disturbing part is, all documents were not supplied on patient discharge! rather enquiring upon the incident it took the hospital more than weeks to figure out and still not resolved.

In short, they are dacoits. (1) It is Grade A hospital in Swasthyasathi list. But you have to pay Rs 30,000 irrespective of any surgery in the name of Diagnosis test even if the doctor did not recommend for this. Then they will take money from Govt. thru Swasthyasathi scheme. (2) Staff behaves like they are very cooperative but it's not true they think about how to take money from you. (3) Admin doesn't come forward to look into the issue because they know that they are looting the patient. My suggestion, If you have Swasthyasathi please don't go there. I hope, one day public will take strict action against the hospital.

Then he gave me few medicine and asked me to rest. To my utter shock my condition has not recovered a single percent. We have heard a lot about your hospital but the first experience with you is extremely bad. We have been trying to call the emergency number for an hour(since 8.20am, 22nd Nov., 2023) for some enquires but, Mr Ramit Bhattacharya is continuously disconnecting the call. Is this how you deal with serious patients and claim to be one of the best hospital of Kolkata?

This is the worst hospital the Kolkatans could have. A stigma on the health care providing system burgeoning in and around Kolkata. The doctors, nurses and all other supporting members exhibit a very callous, nonchalant attitude; always behaving empathetically and more often rudely. They do not hesitate to provide wrong information regarding one's patient and sometimes they donot feel guilty in misleading the patient 's relatives. Better to prefer some government hospitals than to die here in spite of spending all your hard earned money..

We didn't know there was such a bad hospital in Kolkata. Harassment of the patent party is the management main job. From this it seems that the Government Hospital is much better. Even if you take a Cabin..there are no facilities .there is lot misbehave from management. The A/C is leaking water. There are no water in Tap. TV not working , serving cold food , etc... Even after saying there was no result. Such a bad experience ....

Do not take anyone to this hospital..death rate of this hospital is too high, even more than a govt hospital. Every day more than 6 to 10 dead bodies are released by them. They have killed my father who had been admitted with a small problem. Upto 9 days they did a wrong treatment and even did not check the electrolyte levels regularly and due to severe fall of magnesium level in blood my father got a severe cardiac arrest and he left us unexpectedly. I can not forgive my self for admitting my father in this worst hospital. If you love your family memebers then do not take them to this hospital. Better to go to a govt hospital.
