Please Avoid this Hospital!! Don't go to this place! Very very shady place. I found this hospital almost empty. Very less active patient but outdoor is very active. No famous or good doctors are here. Quality of the staffs are worst i have ever seen. If you got referred to this hospital by your doctor please change your doctor. Do take a 2nd opinion and do not return to that doctor who has recommended you to this hospital, I bet that the doctor is involved in some kind of illegal business. This place doesn't accept UPI payment. It's not a cheap hospital. If anyone can spend some time in this hospital will be able to find more than one very unsatisfied patients and the stuffs gets a special training on how to argue with a customer. You may need to pay more than what you have thought or what this hospital finally bills you. and some random person who is not a hospital stuff may demand for money for the equipment that your doctor has used during some operation. So avoid this place as much as you can.

The staffs during morning hours are simply very rude and raw. No manners at all. Hardly spoke any English or tried to understand us. They kept sending us to places where we were not suppose to be. Totally un-organized. I wonder what the owners and doctors are doing? Would not recommend for anyone. The quality has gone down! Sorry.

It’s more like a mini hospital. There are many doctors and different types of medical examination also takes place over here. They have OTs also.Covid 19 vaccination is also available. You can’t compare it with Apollo or BMBirla but recommended for treatment. Better than other small nursing homes present in every para/locality.

Worst hospital ever. My father had a cardiologist appointment at 1pm but the hospital outright refused that we had an appointment and made us wait till 4:30pm. My father is a diabetic patient and has to take insulin but due to the bad administration of the hospital we were made to wait and my father couldnot even have lunch. The behavior of the staff and the receptionists is very bad. They are extremely rude people and inefficient. They respond very badly if you ask them simple queries. I donot recommend this hospital at all.

Recommend to admit patients in GENERAL ward since you will always get someone to attend you. My cousin's thyroid surgery was done here. Good care was taken of him. Most of the ward boys and nurses were cooperative. This place is economical than other private hospitals and cost-effective treatment is provided. Good doctors sit here.

It is one of the old hospitals of Kolkata situated at the centre of the city at 11, Shakespeare Sarani, Kolkata. I have visited the hospital on 26th of the last month. Consulted Dr. Subhra Neel Bowl, onco hematologist. He is a well behaved doctor. The staffs at the reception are well behaved. The group D employees are also cooperative. So far I have seen the outdoor is very clean. The canteen is at some distance from the outdoor at the 1st floor. It is difficult on the part of an edged man and patients to visit canteen on a rainy day. The administration must look into the matter to the matter and try to solve the problems.

Went for RT PCR test this morning, it is supposed to start at 10Am , I reached there 9:30 am so as to pay the bills and finish the test at the earliest because I was running a temperature of 100.03. all formality done by 10am, they said it will start by 11:00 ok. It started around 12 and that after patients started complaining, by the time I got back home it was 1:45 and my temperature was 103.7. I just want the management to know that they are supposed to help us feel better not worse, there are no chairs to sit it's out in the hot sun, no social distancing woman children elderly all close together and worse I waited for 2.5 hours and then some people were allowed to cut the line. I don't blame the hospital staff for that if they had requested I would have happily allowed elderly and children to finish first the person who cut the line was looking pretty healthy I don't think he was running a fever, he should understand that sick people have been waiting for almost 2-3 hours. I just remembered, the guy in the covid booth which was say two feet by four feet, he has no fan no AC it's 37 outside and he's sweating, literary from every pore of his body, he's just wearing a mask and gloves. He did not change the glove when he took my sample and God only knows how much of his sweat and hair contaminated the samples. I think I'll have to retake the test

Recently I was operated in Nightingale Hospital. Since I was undergoing an operation for the first time as expected that the doctor, nurses and the aayas to guide me. After the operation , I was under the influence of anesthesia......so I was put on saline. The outcome of this was that I was passing urine many a times. I would press the bell for the aaya to help me pass the urine which my bladder could not hold on. The aaya came once and in the second occasion she shouted at me and said that "Why are you pressing the bell again and again, Wont you let me sleep " in bengali. I was in tears as I could not use the washroom on my own and the aaya got agitated. I was admitted in a double sharing room of Nightingale. I requested the nurses to reduce the ac temperature as I developed severe cough. The nurses outrightly refused to lower the temperature. Hence the cough got aggravated and it caused tremendous pain to my stitches which was done not even 24 hours ago. On the second day of my operation, I decided to use the washroom on my own without the help of the aaya as I did not want to be rebuked by the aaya. In the evening, the other patient in my room wanted to use the rest room. She was pressing the bell but no one came. After 15 minutes she couldn't hold on to her urine and rang the bell. Then nurse had come twice when the bells rang and assured that an aaya would come help her. To my dismay, no one come and the lady was in a pathetic shape as she had to go to the washroom. Hence being a co - patient , I went to help her and took her to the washroom which relieved her. I am disappointed by the service of Nightingale as I had not expected the services free of cost but was paying it through my nose. I strongly recommend if you come to this hospital please make sure someone from your house is around to attend to you and never stay in double sharing or a cabin as you would be treated as dirt, especially the aayas who is the first point of help which a patient requires. Overall it was a nightmare for me and this has let to an aversion towards hospitals.

DO NOT VISIT THIS HOSPITAL. Extremely bad behavior from the hospital staff. Dear owner of Nightingale hospital teach your staff to behave properly with the patients & patient party .Whenever I tried to get an appointment with Dr Indrajit Sarder ,I was told to contact Ms Sraboni Mukherjee. Whenever you call her ,she is busy or having an off. If you contact the reception you will be told that they don't know what to do. Extremely irresponsible & illmanoured hospital

Horrific Experience We had admitted our patient under *Dr Amitava Das* as soon as we were asked to do so on 20/05/2023 (Saturday morning) . The patient had been complaining of immense body pain arising from spinal compression . Two days into the hospital , no treatment was done to reduce the pain whatsoever . The RMO told the patient "we cannot start any treatment without doing the NCV test and it can't be done tomorrow as it is a Sunday" ! The patient's life is at stake and the multi-speciality hospital couldn't afford to arrange the tests from elsewhere . We waited till Monday to see the progress . The NCV test wasn't done . On being questioned about the same the doctor said he had cancelled the test (the very same test without who's results no treatment could be started for two days straight !) The patient's condition didn't improve even a tiny bit . But the bill was high contradictory to the services provided . We brought back our patient only after having paid the full amount . I ask everyone not to admit your near and dear ones under the doctor mentioned above if you care about their well being . And if you have a lot of money to spare in exchange of zero services , Nightingale Hospital is your place !

Front line staff and Receptionists are inefficient and rude. I want to make a special mention about about Mr.Santosh Parida who handles cashless mediclaim. Most incompetent and under trained. He and Mrs.Srabani Mukherjee receptionist goofed up my cashless claim. But my Dr.Indrajit Sardar who operated on my knees is too good and very efficient and very well behaved.Thank you Doctor

Many eminent personalities - Doctors are attached with this Hospital in OPD. But it is very unfortunate that the reception administration at OPD and also the security people are very rude, uncultured and doesn't know how to even talk to people. Management should understand the front people are the face of any Institute and if they behave this way, the comments has to like this. Which I see many people have commented apart from me.

Had cyst removal here. Staffs here just do their job of nursing patient (read acting) to appease the person who is paying and whenever they are not around patient have to help themselves. Not to mention every staffs ask for hefty service tips (bribe ) and until they are getting paid they will continue to coax and pester you

Pathetic hospital just looting customer in name of emergency. Staff is rude and not helpful at all. Visited due to high fever and they didn’t even check the basic vitals such fever. We asked them thrice to check than only the checked. Just charged 1500 without any detailed analysis. When we said doctor didn’t even wrote anything and told to come at 10 at general opd timing. Than they made Doctor to write the details so that they can charge the money.

Money focused and not patient focused. The staff of this hospital who manages Dr Sardars appointments misbehaves with patients and hangs up phone when you try to book an appointment with him. The MRI department is also very sub standard.

I am writing about my own experience. My wrist & elbow was fractured critically. Many hospitals had refused surgery. But the renowned doctor, Dr Indrajit Sardar operated me & made me fit in 2017. Most Orthopedic surgeons around the country know of him. Recently one of my relatives underwent knee replacement surgery under him. That was also successful. Actually I was referred to Dr Sardar by Dr K K Mukherjee ( a renowned doctor of Kalyani). Infrastructure is really good. Cons: Hospital staff have certain service related issues which I have noticed during my 11 days stay. I noticed many similar negative reviews in this particular matter. I felt really bad after seeing those reviews. When there are so many good doctors the hospital should see that its reputation stays afloat.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER. THEY HAVE NO SCHEDULE, NO UNDERSTANDING OF TIME, ALWAYS LATE WITH EVERYTHING, WORST BEHAVIOR AND THE WORST SUPPORTING STAFF EVER. MY DAD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ADMITTED FOR A SURGERY. THEY MADE HIM AND MY MOM SIT FOR HOURS AND THEN CANCELLED THE SURGERY BECAUSE THE PERSON WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF RELEASING TEST REPORTS ARRIVED HOURS LATE TO THE HOSPITAL. MAYBE HE WAS SLEEPING OR ENJOYING HIS BRUNCH WHO KNOWS. Meanwhile a staff who has no idea of anything guessed and told my parents a wrong prediction of a report that they 'cannot' release until that report person came to the hospital who was late. So not only was my dad's condition worse but my parents were worried and upset without any reason. I was in a different city for work and the only time we choose Nightingale this happens. Worst mistake choosing this hospital. I advise you to never choose this hospital. People are illiterate, rude and services are so below par that I'm impressed how this hospital is still going strong. Onlt one orthopedic doctor was good in the past here and we went just for a visit directly to him which is why we made the mistake of choosing this hospital for another surgery for my dad. this time it was different staff and doctor. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVEN THINK OF THIS PLACE NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE OR WISH ANYONE TO GO THROUGH SUCH A SITUATION.

How HELPLESS can a patient feel to contact a DESK supposed to ''HELP'' the patients at a buzzing private hospital in the heart of the city? Nobody knows. We only know we may have to struggle for a long time to get a Good Samaritan on the other side of the phone. But we don't know how long we will be put on hold waiting for yet another voice simply to answer a plain and simple query about the availability of a particular doctor. Laudable work ethics!!!

If possible I would like to give extreme negative review of this hospital. I would say their HDU ( High Dependency Unit) is a slaughter house. I have not seen even a single patient coming out alive from this unit of this hospital. The behavior of the nurses seems to be extreme rude and shows extreme indifference and negligence towards the patient. They lack transparency and lies to the patient relatives all the time and every day about their condition. My father was admitted to this hospital due to post Covid complications and the treating doctors and the nurses have hidden all the facts, neglected my father to the extent possible that he die. In this hospital he had bed sore which was not even known to us and was not told to us even. Actually when my father died then they let us touch and I have seen the extent of torture they have done with my father. They used to put a diaper and never used to change that which created extreme and painful infection in his private areas along with profuse bleeding. However this was not known to us earlier or not even informed leave about showing us and signing us any forms or pictures of the wound. We brought this to the notice of the on duty Medical Superintendent, however he has no control and seems to be a puppet apologizing the entire incident. However we lost our father. The painful face and this his tears is extremely painful. Stay away from this hospital they literally kill and lie to you and tries to cover up their mistake, but ultimately you lose your loved ones. We have done extreme mistake of not moving him from this hospital and finally we lost my father. We are repenting each and every moment why we admitted him in this hospital.

Pros: 1) Very experienced, senior and reputed doctors are available in this Nursing Home. This nursing home is popularly known as 2nd Campus of SSKM Hospital as all the doctors of SSKMH can be found here. 2) Doctors of all disciplines and various testing facilities can be found under one roof. 3) Food supplied for the indoor patient is the Best among all the hospitals in Kolkata. The dieticians are very cooperative. 4) 70% of the Nurses/Sisters are good, empathetic and sincere. 5) Two/Three "Brothers" (they call 'Dada') are really rendering their services with utmost dedication. 6) Indoor wards and cabins are very neat and clean. CONS: 1) Mediclaim Cashless facilities are NOT available in this Nursing Home. You have to make payment in Cash for every service they provide. This is the Greatest disadvantage for a common man. Hence, before admitting your patient, Think Twice. 2) Doctors' Fees are much higher. 3) Housekeeping facilities are in a terrible state. The laundries are all old, faded and torn out to remind you of the pre-historic era! The old Khaki blankets are as good as jute bags used to carry rice once. It may remind you of the supplies used by the soldiers during World War I ! 4) As an indoor patient, I was given washed clothes twice in a week. One has to continue with this. 5) Sometimes you have to wait for the whole day to get fresh. Sometimes they will say that geyser is out of order. So, water will not be available for bathing. 6) Bed covers are changed once in a week if repeatedly asked for. 7) Some nurses are so inhuman that they don't bother even if a patient faces some severe problem or requests for a glass of water. I was admitted on 06/02/2023 at around 7.30 pm with Bilateral Pneumonia and incessant Coughing. I was left alone in the bed with a severe life-ending coughing. Due to non-stop coughing, the 9th rib of my left chest got fractured. The nurses were sitting idle and gossiping. One of the nurses came at 02.30 am and asked me to take medicine. Just guess the situation of a patient suffering from a severe disease. 8) There is a huge shortage of Brothers/ Cleaning Staff that sometimes makes the indoor service intolerable. 9) Please check the Bills throughly. Otherwise, you will have to pay for the services which you have not taken at all. 10) The management seems to have turned a deaf ear to these complaints.

I would highly recommend this hospital especially my doctor. I have recently undergone a surgery at this hospital. My doctor (gynecologist), Dr. Shamita Singhel Ghosal is excellent. Very professional, highly experienced and knowledgeable, authentic, extremely responsive, listened carefully to my concerns and addressed all of them. Excellent surgeon too. Thought about the patient and kept her needs at first. The hospital is clean and well maintained including their outdoor toilet. Their indoor is also very good. Very clean, spacious room and well maintained including the bathroom. They would clean the double bed room and bathroom everyday. The nurses and attendants were very professional, kind and helpful. Their administrative process is very easy for admission and discharge, no need to run endlessly to different departments. Also I did all my pre operative tests here at a very reasonable price. Reports were delivered the next day except the culture test (which usually takes min 72 hours). I was very happy with my experience and have already recommended this hospital especially my gynecologist to my family and friends. Only thing that I had suggested to the management is to provide disposable sheets for the beds (for outpatient and test rooms) instead of rubber cloth.

I had gone to the hospital yesterday and was reffered to the dietician. She was not good at all. She didn't say anything new she just asked what the patient eats and just wrote that only. She didn't even ask any medical history. We were only asking her if we could eat certain food or not she was just nodding. What she wrote in the chart even I can write that, was expecting she would suggest something new. Will not recommend her to anyone.

I recently had an unfortunate incident where my friend fainted near Maidan metro station and we rushed to this hospital for medical assistance. While the nurse provided helpful care, I must express my disappointment with the doctor's behavior. They displayed a money-minded and rude attitude, pressuring us into unnecessary procedures. Moreover, when we expressed our desire to shift to a nearby hospital closer to our home, the doctor recommended an outsider ambulance service with exorbitant charges. They consistently insisted that we call this particular ambulance, further emphasizing their disregard for our well-being and financial concerns. This entire experience has been disheartening, as we expected better ethical conduct from medical professionals. The doctor's focus on monetary gains and their insistence on an expensive ambulance service have left us feeling unheard and taken advantage of during a vulnerable time.

Very much disappointed with the service of the Hospital reception staff. They receive your call and then put the receiver down and chit chat on their own, if they'll pick they'll ask you to hold and then they disconnect. It's really difficult to get an appointment through the reception. If hospitals start functioning this way who is going to save lives then?
