a good medical center but staffs are not professional. work culture should be improved

I recently had the opportunity to stay at GD Hospital and Diabetis Institute for 8 days while my mother underwent a total knee replacement surgery, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I wholeheartedly give this hospital a well-deserved 5-star rating! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and compassion by the hospital staff. The administrative process was smooth and efficient, which immediately put our minds at ease during what could have been a stressful time. Throughout our stay, I was truly impressed by the level of care and attention provided by the hospital's medical team. The nurses were not only highly skilled and experienced but also displayed genuine empathy and kindness towards my mother. They consistently checked on her well-being, and their proactive approach in managing her post-surgery care was reassuring. The rooms at GD Hospital were comfortable and well-maintained. It made the entire hospital stay much more pleasant, providing a calm and soothing environment for my mother's recovery. The hospital's dedication to cleanliness and hygiene standards was evident throughout the facility, further enhancing our confidence in the hospital's commitment to patient safety. Not to mention the splendid view from the room. It offered comfort. I must highlight the quality of the food served. Unlike the stereotypical hospital food, the meals were surprisingly delicious and nutritious. The dietary staff ensured that my mother's dietary restrictions were well-accommodated, and they were always open to personalizing the meal options according to her preferences. Another aspect that stood out to me was the attentiveness of the hospital attendants. They were consistently available whenever we needed assistance and were quick to respond to any requests. Their helpful and cheerful demeanor made the overall hospital experience more pleasant. Lastly, I want to commend the hospital's management for their outstanding efforts in creating such a positive environment for patients and their families. The hospital's commitment to patient-centered care was evident in every aspect of our stay. The management's involvement and dedication to maintaining high standards were reflected in the exceptional quality of services provided. In conclusion, my family and I had an excellent experience at GD. The worst hospital in Kolkata. My dad went there with very low Oxygen saturation and need oxygen immediately but the administration dept ask for 50,000 as admission charge and then they will start the treatment. He is in ICU and the charge is unaffordable. We ask for the test report to consult it with another doctor but they deny to provide it at first and said to write an application to get them. Staffs and nurses are horrible. I myself is a registered nurse in Australia. Never encountered such horrible and rude nurses. I am gonna transfer my dad tomorrow to some other hospital. This hospital is useless they only need money. If possible I will give rating in minus.

Staffs are so rude, they ask Rs. 100 for registration stating records will be kept for lifetime. But in 2nd visit they were not able to find the records. They won't help you. They will not answer your queries, customer care number provided on website is always not reachable or not responding. All they care about is money. My mom has diabetes, was treated in this hospital which made her case worsen. After changing doctor and hospital she is doing very good now. They never care about the patients and their conditions all they care about is money. Pathetic staffs and pathetic hospital.

Pathetic behaviour of nurses. One of mine is admitted there and when we visited him he was literally crying how they are treating him. Money , money money all they want is money no matter how bad is the condition of the patient . They just don't really care of the patient they only care about money.

The receptionist are very arrogant, They don't give response properly. They want money before patients get admission.If you are going in emergency section also still they don't let the patient get admitted if u don't have minimum 30k. Courteous service at reception, ward. TPA desk can do better. Clean wards, but reception area and outpatient dept cleanliness may be improved. Parking is a challenge, none within premises; creek row should be good to park and then walk to hospital in 2-3 min.

Am an Inpatient here hoping to be released today. Nurses and support staffs are caring and assuring. Nurses are very polite and soft spoken making the process of treatment and my fear of needles less inhibiting and less scary. The resident doctors made rounds and was there at beck and call. Rooms are cleaned a no. of times each day, as per my observations. Food is good. They tried their best to adhere to my requests as long as the doctor permitted. Good service always comes with a price. And it is worth every penny. Last but not the least, my Doctor..Dr. Asif Nizam... most importantly he is a very good human being. Patience is his virtue. I and my family feel no worries when we're under his treatment. He's done a very good job with my husband's ailment and my son's, too. I am in safe hands. He gives you the opportunity to speak and listens to the minute details, however insignificant it maybe (which is very rare these days, most dr. makes one feel inhibited and hardly has time). Other referd doctors, whose names I can't remember now, who checked on me were also assuring. As of now GDDI Hospital is satisfactory . I feel better and healing than how I came. Overall their behaviour with patients and their families is cordial and warm.

Patients are being admitted everyday, suffering from various diseases however GDDI (GD Hospital) is suffering from complacency.. This has been a regular incident if you are trying to get someone admitted during the shift change hours... They are hardly interested to what you really require... It took more than 45minsto get the patient change...They aren't even interested to change the patient's utensils for daily use.. They are all busy and arrogant as if it's a voluntary free service

I HAVE VISITED THE HOSPITAL 3 TIMES during 3 years , 3 years back it was best hospital in this area for the poor and low-income families , but when started gaining popularity it actually started its modern trends of hospital buisness. Now ordinary normal delivery charges in there Website nearly 40000.00. Day by day all facilities are reducing ,staffs are also becoming non friendly due to excessive work pressure. You can't book an appointment online or over the phone which is quite annoying. There are definitely good doctors but then there are doctors who have rating as low as 1.7 so stay vigilant and do your homework before consulting a specific doc.

My father was admitted here and all they did was suck money out of our pockets. Very pathetic service in the general ward. Very bad experience... They confirm me twice that the opd doctors will see in a first come come basis.. There is no appointment rule. Before 2 hours I 3rd time confirm the same. My father was expired in this hospital. I have many question regarding his treatment. 1. If Toclizumab is hundreads of side effects why this is injected to patient 2. why nurshing staff is not understand patient pain and laughing when patient is morally broken. 3. Why elderly phatient is not treated with extracare 4. Always complained patient is not co-operate, who is responsible for this, every hours blood test for sugar, multiple times try in a day for channel for medication 5. When patient cry for pain and didn't fight, utterly broken, hospital management should take extra care for this kind of patient instead of complain. I have shared my feedback personally with the hospital before but yet the issue of non-responsive phones persist. The number 39873987 will have to be dialed 3 to 4 times before someone answers it. This number is supposed to be an emergency line and I believe globally, emergency is next to hospital. If you are in need of urgent medical help you could be wasting valueable time dialing 39873987. The dial-in number ending 5031 has been down for months, not sure if the hospital is aware or doing anything about it or is COVID19 to be blamed, let's not forget it's a contact number of a HOSPITAL. The rest of the numbers ending 5030/32/33 will ring out if you wish to speak to somebody. You might have to dial-in 2-3 times before someone answers the phone. Since this is a hospital, phone attentiveness should be given equal importance. Through my post here publicly after my hand written feedbacks and emails have failed, I request the GM to kindly look into this matter with utmost concern cause let's not forget GDDI is a hospital.

A good diagnosis centre near Wellington Kolkata run by Pataka Group of Industries.I have visited here for a cataract surgery. The only thing remains questionable to me that the patient needs to be admitted for even feco surgery(patients under mediclaim) when in most of the cases other hospitals release the patients on the very same day.

GD Hospitals and diabetes is a good corpprate hospita. Some very good physian like Dr.Nadim Khan, Dr.Ajay Biswas, Dr.Sampat Jain, Dr. T.Rahman, Dr.Saibal Chakraborty are attached with this Hospital. Diabetologistlike Dr.K.A.Kabir also attached. This Hospita is situated at Taltala. It is a walking distance from Moulali crossing. Sealdah station is 10 mins away.from this Hospital. Overall this hospital isgood.

The service is not good, especially if you call opd, they don't answer. On some days there is a doctor and on some days there is no doctor. It is bad luck for old people to come here.

If you have an insurance policy & need to have an medical treatment or operation, first make it clear from your Insurance company that what are the documents they need. Most of the Insurance company ask for Form C, i.e., Hospital Registration Certificate, but G. D people won't give this to you. They only provide the Reg. No. which the Insurance company will not allow.

I admitted my wife to this hospital to operate her gallbladder stone a couple of months before and the hospital surprised me every now with its cordiality and quality of service. The admission process took merely about 20 minutes and she was allotted a single AC cabin comparable to any standard hotel room with all the facilities including electric kettle and complementary tea/coffee/biscuit packs for the attendant. The room was also very clean, cozy and well equipped with required medical facilities. And oh then the hospital staffs! They are so very polite, ever smiling and sincere to their job that we never felt that she was in a hospital! On one occasion, I reached the hospital room in the morning, on the day after her operation and to my surprise I found a nurse was waiting outside the washroom while she was using the lavatory only to attend her, in case she needs any help! I can’t forget about the attending physician Dr. Vishakha who had become more like a relative than a doctor to us with her intimate behaviour and careful attention in every need. Overall all the hospital staffs were so cooperative and competent that I can easily ignore some minor glitches of the front desk like not attending the call in a timely manner. The staffs, at least as I saw them, are the most valuable assets of this hospital. They will attend you with a wheel chair on the gate in case you need one and will always be with you like a relative. I even found the staffs attending an admitted patient to the OT since he didn’t have any relative to take care of him. The hospital is not adamant with its security like many others and you can always visit the required department once you have a valid pass. And the TPA department was so competent that the actual discharge process completed within 2 hours after the doctor released my wife. And all these fascinating service costed only Rs. 55000 where I had to bear Rs. 100 plus a very reasonable medicine bill. I’m not very sure if everyone visited this hospital received the same hospitality and treatment here or it is only fortunate me who admitted his wife under a corporate medical insurance. But if the hospital can treat its patients and attendants with the cordiality that I received here, it has the potential to be one of the bestest hospital in the city. Truly a fascinating experience for both of us. And the biggest compliment for them is that my wife wanted to stay a few more days here even after her discharge. What better can we expect from a hospital?!

Worst hospital doctor , Dr. Pranab Kumar das (respiratory medicine) He cant hear . So whenever you tell a problem you have to repeat it . Despite this it has become business not to heal patient . He gave me almost 10k rupees medicine and told me i can buy this medicine from particular shop for simple coufing. After returning bangladesh, i became consulted to a.bangladeshi doctor and healed with some simple medicine costed me 200-300tk max.

What I want to share is after release support. Our TPA was adamant about discarding certain claims. I contacted Mr. Thapa who gave a patient hearing and roped in Saptarshi for providing the details. Challenge for Saptarshi was to collect all details but as few months passed his job became difficult. I happy to say Saptarshi provided all details required. The staffs are friendly and and look after patient just like family member..I am a swasthya Sathi patient but they they look me as a valuable patient. My patient for admitted at 11.15 pm at night and got discharged on the next day at 4.15 pm...for 16 hours they took bed charges of two days . pathetic

Gd hospital is one of a thif Hospital in Kolkata,they only collect as much as money ,but don't give the service So don't go there

On of the best diabetes specialist hospital in Kolkata.. Dr goswami is an specialist of. My father in law admit 2 time in time in this hospital and now he is better. Hospital organisation is best and very need and clean.

Very bad experience.The doctors never come on time.Useless testing to make a huge bill.The doctors are not able to confirm what happened to the patient. very rude behavior. They are irresponsible.
