A very well organised service hospital for the armed force personnel in Eastern India. Command Hospital kolkata is located at Alipore, near about 15 kms away from Kolkata railway station and its very well connected with metro railway stations. Its got a. Good atmosphere and service provided is not less than that of any private corporate hospital. All super specialists are available and at your service.

So we visited the accident and emergency unit of eastern command this command hospital is runned by MNS & AMC personnels. One of the biggest campus well known army hospital only defence personal and their families are allowed to treat themselves. The medical campus has the bestest discipline there are many department to visit like xray, cardiology ent, PET, and much more. Basically many forces from different defense background like navy βš“ , Army, air force and cost guard come at this place which is the eastern command of Kolkata. There is a best hospitality over there is too much of cleaniness over here so if you are form the defence background so will will make visit for sure once there u have cds canteen then bank service, and much more... I'd have given it a minus rating if possible. The doctors and other stuffs here don't consider regular patients as humans. As per my own experience, they only take mediocore care of patients in medical emergency (for example - those who need to get surgery done immidiately!!). But if you're a normal regular patient, for example - you're seeking treatment for your skin problems or pain related problems, then just forget about getting a proper medical treatment from command hospital. I think either the doctors aren't capable of doing their job or they're too negligent to treat you. Here I'd like to share one of the many worst experiences I've had in command hospital. My mum is seeking treatment from command hospital for her pain related problems for quite a few years now. But the medicines the rheumatologist is pescribing are clearly not working. When we mentioned it to him, he clearly said on our face that " aap phir bahar jaa k kisi doosre doctor ko dkha skte ho". I mean what the !!? If we're supposed to get treatment from outside, then what are you guys doing there exactly!!? I think other government hospitals are far FAR better than Command hospital (at least in terms of behavior).

Is this even a hospital, where everything works only during working hours .. If you are looking for a hospital for cough cold fever then this hospital serves the purpose. If you have plans for surgery then please avoid this hospital.. as after working hours real work starts... ---There are no doctors. ---The MNS nurses are always on call. ---They closes the door of wards and sleep. ---The doctors are rude and thinks as if they are some military officer and not doctor. --- There is no proper method for the help --- The ward master thinks the job as a duty rather than responsibility. --- There is no proper method of duty exchange --- Everyone works only when the officer is around. I come from Defence background, My dad was in Airforce and Brother in Army...

If it possible i will rate it only negative. Basically they didn't treat a patient as a human, doctors and attendants are not so professional over there, they are doing experiments with the patients, for my personal experience I have lost my dad, when we admit him here he was not so much sick at that time but day after day his condition going down, not responding after such antibiotics. Why doctor's couldn't found whats the problem with him? Are they trained doctors? I don't think so, they are doing only experiments with the patients. On first day they said that we will observe him for 14 days in the ventilation after that we will take another steps, we thought it should be the another antibiotics But coincidentally after 14 days my father's condition was very serious and they said "Please you guys mentally prepared". We were shocked that the man who went to the ambulance on his own he got ill day by day. 1st day they said he got Pneumonia, after 2 days they said lungs got infected and not responding properly, after 2 days they said he got anemia, then they said his multi organ getting failure, and the last day he said he got sepsis. We couldn't done anything for our father as because of them because they were doing experiment with him to gave him lots of antibiotics. And I am sure they themselves turned off ventilation as because he was not responding. I will suggest please guys avoid command and go to private best hospitals so that your near and dear ones get best service.

Yesterday I went to the hospital with my dad. And he was not well. He was in a serious condition. I requested the receptionist to do something but she said that we've to go to another side of the hospital then went we went to that side they told me to go to another side but they didn't take any action. Even they didn't started the primary tritment also. The service was worst. I didn't expect that poor quality and the receptionists behaviour was too rude. She doesn't know how to talk to someone who really needs her help.

Actually i would like to rate a big 0. I was admitted due to early labor, after 2 days suddenly my water broke and my baby was in risk but they still left me for normal delivery... During this time they behaved inhumanly.. I walked many time from labor room to maternity ward alone with this water breaking condition and they orderd me to set up bed ... Set up own self while i was not able to move due to pain ..they are really very rude towards patients... The sisters act just like a jailer .. finally my family shifted me to neotia next morning and i gave birth to a baby boy via c section.. a lady doc of command hospital insulted us badly for seeking immediate discharge...if i didn't go elsewhere i could not see my boy alive... Baby was infected because of command hospital's decision of normal delivery as 24 hour's passed after water break . We had to suffer a lot....this hospital is really horrible for their inhumanly behaviour

The diagnosis for my father cancer treatment was good but the patient care and service was pathetic. We didn't expect such kind of poor care for patient from Command Hospital (EC) Kolkata. He was a bed patient and in initial days he used to take food directly by mouth (though he had an oral cancer), but no one was alloted to make him eat as he was not able to eat by himself, and hygiene was very poor. They didn't even change the bedsheet and pillow cover regularly. Fooding system is really very poor for bed patient, please think once before taking your patient to Kolkata Command if he is a bed patient. This case differs if the patient can walk and talk freely.

It was 1st January, 2022. We went for a small tour to a temple in Bishnupur, Midnapore District. Some unfortunate things were waiting for us. My mother got burned from a small candle in temple. We immediately took her to Mission hospital in Durgapur, Burdwan district. There she got admitted and she has been kept there for 18 days upto 18th January, 2022. Her condition got deteriorated. Her burnt wound got infected, and she was infected with pneumonia too. It was quite difficult to consult with doctors and nurses of that civil hospital and they told that mother has to be kept under ventilation. We were afraid and then decided to take her to Alipore Command hospital. We came to burn centre and from that day itself we were amazed to see how nicely they are following systematic procedure. Col. Dr. Onkar Singh sir, Lt Col Dr. Vinay Pal Singh sir started treating my mom from that day itself (18th January afternoon). Doctors use to visit patients at least 5 times a day. They are so dedicated. Both doctors were very humble. In civil hospital, doctors have decided to go for operation even when she was very weak. Here Dr. Onkar Singh sir took time to prepare my mom before operation to minimize postop complications. They waited for more than a month and when they thought that patient is stable for OT they went for operation. On 22nd February, they did the operation. On 22nd morning when my mom was sent for OT, Dr. Singh sir observed that patient is exhausted. Again the patient was sent back to her resting room and she was further given some medicine/plasma lyte to make her stable. Finally grafting was done by Dr. Onkar Singh Sir, Dr. Vinay Sir and recently she was doing fine. On 5th March she will be discharged and we are very happy to see my mother smiling and walking. Other burn matrons (Lt Col. Anupama Shankla mam, Major Revathi K, Major Sindhuja mam), Burn technician (Hav. J Pandian) Nursing assistant (Sep Vijay Yadav) all are having good expertize. My sincere thanks to Pandiah sir, Vijay sir, Gopi sir who use to do dressing very sincerely and my mom’s infected wound got better by their efforts only. Dressing method is really unique. They are not only good dresser, but good human being too. Command hospital needs more expert doctors like Dr Onkar Singh and all.

This hospital is spread over huge area. Located in Aalipur, aligned with another hospital named Woodlands. One of the entrance is opposite to National Library. Absolutely well maintained and well disciplined inside. Well facilitated for the Army people and their families. Common people are mainly prohibited inside. More or less every department of medical are being offered here including Oncology surgery, radiation. Other facilities like huge parking for all the patient parties and doctors, canteen, ATM, small snacks shop, Liquor shop, grocery stores, post office etc. are also available inside. Most importantly very peaceful area for the patients.

All the departments are not good. Madicine OPD is not satisfactory on monday. Doctor is not interested in taking history. He told if you are buying medicine from out side then continue that . From the same department a senior resident doctor came in emergency department, he was also not keen to hear the patient's history. he released the patient when her blood pressure was 172/82 stating that todays target is achieved. Where as the sodium level was also little down for the same patient.

Well experienced and qualified doctors available in the hospital, best in the Eastern region. 1.Neat and clean environment. 2.fooding and refreshments ARE marvellous. 3.polite and gentle behaviour of doctors and nursing staffs except egoist MNS. 4.lodging also available for single attendant 7pm_6am night sleeping only@ ASHRAH, book bed at 4pm by paying rupees25/-.while rooms also available for DIL patient families @BASERA.if u didn't get the above two sleep in the varandah, nobody is going utter a word. 5.doctors and specialist are approachable,u can consult them directly as required. Lastly I'm proud of the life saviour hospital.

I admitted my father for aplastic Anemia treatment only because of famous Hematologist. I found many flaws. The specialist is sincere for treatment. But whatever he suggests for the patient like tests, medicines, observations that is not being followed up by the resident doctors who are with him during round. For e.g Dr recommended for blood transfusion at 900 am but resident doctor forgot to pass the message to nurse for same till 1230 pm. When I met the Hematologist he said had already said for transfusion. Resident dr had no answer. My father had 103.3 fever, I rushed to resident dr, but he didn't pay any attention,I said to nurse she started pcm IP. Hematologist prescribed some eye drops but nobody given till date. He said to monitor sugar, carry out CBC but nobody is bothered to conduct it. The test reports are not shown to the specialist. I personally go and show it to the hematologist after that he does further action. In the night the patient is on God's grace. Many a times my father himself gone to report fever but duty staff paid no attention. If the patient is without attendant then it's better to pray God for the well-being of patient. Ward master who issues uniform, bedsheets for patients will make such faces when you asked for dress, bedsheets as if he is giving it from his home, and himself washes the items. Food is good and hygienic. Sugar-free milk, non oily khicdi, soups are really appreciable. Always carry disinfectant spray for using toilet. Resident doctor, junior army doctors are inexperienced, irresponsible, nurses are overburden. You cannot compare civil doctors with service doctors as they see a patient as a retired soldier or dependent of a soldier. They will not describe you the treatment, problem in details like civil doctors. Rat,cockroach menance is also there. Provision of RO water, hot water is there, but it is not maintained. If ti goes unserviceable nobody is there to rectify it. Hope my experience will help you out to take a call for your loving ones

Dr Gyan Ranjan is ever seen a worst doctor in my day to day life....The doctor doesn't want to see my problems happening in my body. Even he had shown us rudely behaviour to my father and mother. They are ignoring me by saying he is weak from mentally..... I don't know about another doctors in this hospital but he had made me disappointed with this rude behaviour. If someone having problem with gastro please refer to private then come here...if u didn't then they will keep u in mental hospital. A person always wants to be cure but none of them like doctors are very sophisticated by ignoring like a wrapper or tissue paper. We are not humans , in this hospital we are a psycho who wants to be admitted in this negative star hospital . Dear all MNS and AMC please make ur behaviour as a responsibility person not like a Officers. We are also have knowledge of medical science. We are not slums... treatment and treating is a responsibility work if u didn't have then leave this job ur job is a contractor or politician. A doctor should be kind and mentally prepared I know they have to see hundreds of patients in a day but this is only your exam that how you are keeping ur behaviour with patient and with families note Neet is the only way of doctors rather than to see a patient with kindness. I am not afraid of indicating a person it's his fault so he should be highlighted towards the society , irresponsible person and behaviour acting like a head of defence.

I think it's a best hospital in the Eastern India, it provides various types of examination n tests facilities and results are always on time... I was admited in the nephrology ward.. where the nursing assistant n the ward incharge wer very good in behaviour... The head of nephrology unit... Dr. Jairam sir... Was very cooperative n helpful when he came to know.. I m a MBBS student... Though at first the MNS nurse's behavior may not be nice to Yu...but after. Sometime u'll be okay with tht ... It's the 2nd biggest Army hospital after the... R&R, Delhi.. If ur treated here thn... .May u recover soon to see the beautiful clean area of this hospital n if u r going to admit here...then good luck... Cheers. For Army...Jay Hind...

This is a large hospital catering to the requirements of patients who are either defence personals or their dependents. I have undergone surgeries for gall bladder stones in 2009 and Pituitary macro adenoma with apoplexy in 2017. I am grateful to command hospital for its extraordinary services My wife was admitted here in 2014 during early seventh month of pregnancy with very high blood pressure. But the expertise and commitment both saved the lives of my wife and my prematured baby. Hats off to all doctors and staff for toiling day and night to cure and save our lives.

I'm here for my medical review(Remedical) for Airmen post in IAF. Recruits of indian army and indian navy also come here for there medical review.. I don't think that direct medical is done here For any recruitment in indian defence, only remedical cases are entertained here.. Direct public transport from howra junction and kolkata junction is available for command hospital. I came from kolkata junction,it is around 13 kilometres from kolkata junction.. From both,Howra junction n kolkata junction U should take Goverment bus for "Alipore" if u r to come here.. No more than 3-4 days are taken for any kind of medical point review,if your documents have been reached here. More time consumed is Bcause of delay in arrival of your documents.and this delay can last upto one week. 95% of total recruits get fit here, only in some serious cases one is declared unfit. I got fit in my ECG review. And one last thing i would suggest to all that, If possible, leave from your house for command hospital at least 5 days later than your actual appointment date.

Command hospital located in Alipore is nearby National library. You can reach the emergency unit from the front gate which is right turn from the library entrance. The hospital is dedicated to defence personnel and their dependents. The whole premise sprawls from Alipore to Mominpore in south and is quite merged with residential areas and other institutions like KV and management academy inside. The ECHS unit dedicated to retired personnel and their dependents is near to the mominpore entry. It has all the modern facilities and units of medical healthcare and is clean and green in it's truest sense.

Yes, it can be called a good hospital, but if you want to get treatment here, you have to bring time. If some tests take time, if you request it well, it can be faster in my experience . There is no hotel anywhere on the edge, there is one for staying only at 50 taka per night

Question -- Is the doctors in neurology is component enough for brain tumor surgery???? (What I have seen allmost all are MD/MS NOT.. DNB and 5or 6 Years course for specifically neurology and have done fellowship ship of 1 or 2 years from any good neurology hospital/institute..it took 12 to 13 years to become a neurosurgeon...then one can starts beginning for operation and diagnosis prognosis etc. )

Worst hospital πŸ₯ I'm ever visited. They'll not treat u but say u drink hot water & everything will be fine & say to u if it not work come after 2 days . They don't understand that we've already tried all this things & too ill 🀧 that's why we're coming to the hospital πŸ₯. I suggest u please don't go there. It's better that u will get a checkup in private it take u around β‚Ή500 & u don't get tortured in line & atlast get nothing. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑. There tag line is " Inspiring Good Health" they've to change their tag line to" Inspiring bad Health".😞😞😞😞
