I generally don't post these kind of detailed reviews on any social media or Google but this time I have to do it. I am a doctor. I tried to contact R N Tagore Hospital for my father's appointment to Dr Pratik Das. My father is a CGHS beneficiary. First of all as a CGHS beneficiary, you have to book an appointment only through his secretary, who will answer your call only after you try him for thousand times. He will not reply to your texts either. And after tolerating all these things, if somehow you managed to book an appointment for waiting around 2months here are some incidents that you are going to face. 1. They told me to come in the morning as early as possible as even if you book an appointment online, you have to come on that day specifically to book your slot on first come first serve basis. 2. The doctor will be seeing the patient from 5p.m onwards. 3. So I came on that day as told by 8a.m . After facing too much mismanagement in the queue, and waiting for 2.30 hrs , I finally managed to enroll my father's name . I planned to bring him as late as possible, because it's really not practical to make him wait for too long. While roaming around the hospital, suddenly I received a call at around 2p.m to visit the OPD with patient. My father was on the way. He reached by 3p.m. From then till now we are waiting in OPD and the doctor is not even in the chamber. He is doing his rounds, making himself busy with the operations. I am shocked and exhausted just by wondering how frustrating is this . I mean I am also doctor, I have seen hundreds of doctors and surgeons as well doing ots and OPD. But never seen someone behave like this to their patients. Definitely not coming back to this place or recommending anyone to come. They will make you seat in the OPD till your last breath, in spite of charging so much.

One of the best hospital to scam your time as well as money. I recommend all of you not to visit any opd over here. It's better to save time and money in govt hospitals rather than visiting here, because you will get the same treatment and system that are followed by any govt hospitals. You still have to wait for hours over hours to get a single visit but have to overpaid for the visit. Plus test costs are more than the Appllo, Amri and other reputed private hospitals. It's written as International but it does not provide international standards.

Treatment for Cardiac conditions offered at Narayana Health ranges from medication, treatment of underlying conditions, interventional procedures to both minimally invasive and open heart surgery. To provide comprehensive care to patients, the team works closely with allied departments at Narayana Health to ensure accurate diagnosis are reached and appropriate pre and post treatment care is provided.

I have visited the main Narayana Cardiac science in Bangalore and this branch in kolkata. After experiencing both i can say NH Tagore is good but not as NH Bangalore. I mean all the process are same, from Payment to Report collection. They have separate counters. But NH Tagore's stuffs couldn't assist me as efficiently as NH Bangalore's....But its a good option if you cannot go Bangalore and wanna access NH facilities.

Recently had my gall stones surgery at R.N Tagore Mukundapur Hospital. Excellent Doctors, nurses, staffs. Taken good care, the room was cleaned twice daily, food was good .All covid protocols maintained, hygienic. Bed covers ,towels, uniform were changed everday and were so clean .The toilet was equally clean and dry .The nurses were always just a call away and came within seconds. Couldn't see the faces of the nurses and staffs who took so much care of me as they were wearing masks but so greatfull to them for my speedy recovery.

I had to take my Father blood report. Really strange process. One need to do billing at one building, go to give blood in another building and then collect report from the Doctors OPD in a separate unit. Moreover there is only one counter to book appointment, collect report and do other stuffs. One need to wait till long to collect only report. Isn't it strange. You will find other executives idle in the counter and give guidance , but cannot make one simple queue for handing over Reports. Disgusting Management. Shame.

A very good hospital undone by shortage of staff and procedure :- 1. One of my relative was admitted here for minor OT, I was told the hospital will call me to inform me about time of OT and will also call me to hospital .....no calls no messages from hospital on day 2. Before the OT, the patient was not duly prepared...the staff was rushing to complete basic procedures at the last minute ( I mean you know there is an OT before hand, yet all the checklists were not complete in time) 3. A minor operation which was told to us would last 15-20 minutes went on to 1.5 hours and nobody bothered to tell us why so much time is being taken. 4. During dressing of the wound, blood spilled over to the sheets but the same was not changed despite bringing to their notice 5. No waiting area or facility for visitors, your are on your own to find space somewhere in the opd and sit...no dedicated space for visitors 5. At time of admission, one is asked to chose the packages....but the person dealing packages was missing for good amount of time 6. Prices are still on very higher side,

Popular among patients in Kolkata and suburbs, it's suffering from space crunch so that it always remains crowded. Quality of doctors is very good and services are also acceptable. But, snacks zone are located just outside which may not be liked by people during summer and rainy period.

The Hospital should give empathy training to its patient facing staff. Also no one attends the phone numbers written by the hospital admission desk on the admission chit . Even when you call the helpline .. no one from the hospital answers their call either.. Atleast respect your own helpline employees forget about others The medical staff in the general ward is doesn't care about the patients and the supervision.is also extremely poor. The current R N Tagore is a mere shadow of the past great hospital. In attempt to become more revenue centric , it has lost its main focus which is treating patients efficiently. Suggestion - Make an online portal where the patient party will be able to check the current status by keying in the MRN number .. you will reduce the number of calls that needs to be attended and also can employee a couple of people just to keep on updating the status .. Money saved and improvement in customer experience

This is one of the best eye care Hospital. It is well equipped with most of the modern day equipment which is required for Eye testing and the best clinic for Eye care. I like to mention one thing that you won't get appointments of the best doctors on the same or next day you have to wait for next month.

Entry to RNT (on Wednesday) was very smooth; but considering the overwhelming situation of an heart attack it is very easy to get lost in different sample collection rooms and test requests. Comes the prompt and self motivated rescue - Ms. Atreyee Ray; she has been such a wonderful help through out the ordeal of providing blood samples, ECO, ECG; directing and kindly being with us to different buildings; finally even helping us to get the test reports. My father is a 78 years old man so it was a big help to make a whole day job done in 6 hours because of her wonderful care. The tests results showed that my father needs immediate attention and admitted to Emergency facility to start treatment in time. God bless you Atreyee. Thank you! Dr. Bhabani Prashad Chatterjee's consulation was very assuring during my father's treatment. The doctor has, very reasonably, been cautious about my father's condition due to his previous history of blackout, heart attack due to coronary artery blockage. He immediately took measures to admit my father into Emergency for night observation to make sure that angiography next day would be risk free. Dr Souren Panja and attending doctors have been helping out the case with utmost efficiency and care. Dr. Chatterjee ensured that my father is stable in ICU during next morning to continue with the next actions. I thank Dr. P B Chatterjee for being focused on the patient and his treatments irrespective of all our questions, doubts and created a plan of action after listening to the history and analyzing test reports to be executed by the team of doctors (Specially Dr. Debabrata Roy). Dr Debabrata Roy assured angiography on Thursday, and during procedure a blockage was found in a coronary artery to be treated with a angioplasty and a stent. Dr. Roy has ensured we have understood the situation and helped to make a suitable decision at the time of the procedure. After care by the attending doctors, nurses and whole staff has been well visible and really appreciable. Thank you! 🙏

Positive: I'm a regular patient of Dr. Sunil Lhila and I'm happy with overall service. The environment of the hospital is neat and clean although you may find yourself in a long queue during the beginning of weekdays. There are some quite renowned doctors available. The behaviour of the doctors and staffs are good especially the doctors take great care of the patients and no matter how much rush there is on the outside the doctors don't make any hurry. Negative: The hospital is quite expensive when it comes to appointment and service. It can be a major setback for the patients coming from economically weaker section. If the costs were a little bit lesser than at present it would have been a nice overall package for all types of patient.

Would want to give zero stars if possible. No doubt the doctors are good. But the administration system is the worst. You have to constantly keep on moving from one building to another building and then to another to get things done. They don't keep anything prepared. Just 1hour before a planned surgery, they tell us that they need 3units of blood. And every step of the way you need to wait for 45mins at least, be it for collecting blood reports or blood requisition. Disgusting service at an all time low level.

I went to visit the nephrology doctor and he was in complete frustration. The billing counter is super slow, to get the billing done, it will take 2-3 hours from the time you visited. If you visit by 7:30, you will get the billing done by 10:30. To get a doctor appointment you need to visit early 7:30AM to get the appointment booked for a 4pm doctor visit and by the time your number comes, it will be 11pm. Now imagine a patient who is in critical condition, they will make that person suffer. Coming to doctor: Never in my life have I seen such a doctor. He said I have to see 100 patients and that's what I will do. He didn't bother to answer anything about the patient. He simply said these words when I put my situation: "mein kya karu". Tests: Irrespective of what you have, they will write a test for minimum 20k, so be ready for that as well

THE MONEY SACKING COMPANY. (RN Tagore hospital) I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I recently had at your hospital's nephrology department, specifically concerning the management staff. I have shown Dr Pratik das recently and he asked me to get few tests done and show him, being a very busy person I do understand his time value, and I am a patient who has come thrice to consult him from 90km away, so I asked his secretary which are two of them one is pitch black and other one is white with specs both are good for nothing they just maintains the registry of people visiting that day, So I ask them over the call that can you write my name on the list as I have shown the doctor 6days back and there is no payment to be done because I have come to show my reports, to which he replies I am sorry you need to come down and write your name within 5pm and the doctor will see you around 12am because it’s first come first serve basis, So now I travel 90km alone to just write a name leaving behind my patient to let her come later because its not possible someone to wait from 5pm to 12am, Then when I reach there and wait for my turn to write the name the receptionist says Sir you need to pay 1500₹ to which I was shocked, I then said to her that i am here for my prescription review I have already shown the doctor 6days back to which she says you please speak to the Video counselling room head, I tried to speak to the secretaries but they ignored me like I didn’t matter at all, Then when I started raising my voice then they came and talked to me, later we went to the video counselling room where A lady was seated, when I explained my problem she understood and said “you go to the reception I am talking to the concerned person” later a staff comes and says you will get a deduction of 300₹ to which I was like I have no problem in giving 1500 but is it fair to scam a patient just for showing reports? Then she started bargaining with me, she then says you give 1000₹, I couldn’t control my anger I tore my file in front of her and threw it there and came back. This hospital in a cunning manner has made a policy that if you can not review your reports within 6 days you need to pay, but these thugs don’t know that people comes from which places what hardship they go through, sometimes its takes longer than 6 days to get the reports also. All they think about money. I would request not to go here there are more better hospitals like fortis,Ruby,ColombiaAsia,Apollo which are equipped with better machinery and doctors And more over better hospitality and cheaper too. I don’t want you to face the same as me.

I recently had the opportunity to experience the exceptional care provided by the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) in Kolkata, and I must say that it is undoubtedly the best hospital in the city. The level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise exhibited by the doctors here is truly commendable. The doctors at RTIICS are not only highly skilled but also incredibly humble. They take the time to explain medical conditions and treatment plans in a way that is easy to understand, providing reassurance and support to patients and their families. Their empathetic approach creates a comforting environment, making the entire healthcare journey less daunting. The staff at RTIICS is equally praiseworthy. From the receptionists to the nurses, everyone is dedicated to providing the best possible care. They are attentive, courteous, and genuinely concerned about patients' well-being. The hospital maintains excellent hygiene standards, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all. One area where RTIICS could improve is reducing the waiting time for admission. The demand for their services is understandably high, but streamlining the admission process would greatly benefit patients and their families, reducing stress and inconvenience. I must also highlight the hospital's commitment to promoting women empowerment through massive employment opportunities for women. It is truly inspiring to see so many women working in various roles, from doctors and nurses to administrative staff, fostering diversity and inclusivity in the healthcare sector. Overall, the Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences stands out as a leading hospital in Kolkata. Its humble doctors, dedicated staff, and emphasis on women empowerment make it a beacon of excellence in the medical field. Despite the need for improvement in the admission process, I highly recommend this hospital for anyone seeking top-notch cardiac care and a compassionate healthcare experience.

Good place, well planned system of appointment, the whole process of eye checkup is fine. But as the place is a bit popular so one need to book his/her appointment 4-5 days before. The process of checkup is little bit time consuming but it is for a good reason I think because the doctors are spending more time on each patient. They have almost all facilities for a eye checkup and various eye surgeries are also done here, and the good thing is there service is reasonable and economical. I never had a eye checkup experience but went there twice with my parents and a friend so all I told about eye checkup is based upon there experience.

Worst hospitals in town. Employees have poor behaviors and they do not respect the value of time - they kept my mom and dad waiting hours after hours unnecessarily. Very unprofessional behavior. Some doctors are very rude as well. The day of the dad's surgery they asked my mom to bring 4 unit of blood. They did not say anything at the day of admission. My mom replied she is all by herself - they said bring your relatives to arrange it. WHAT A JOKE. Means, if someone does not have relative, they can get surgery treatment? What is mismanagement. I am not sure higher authority does any scrutiny or not - because this can not be a hospital policy. Total mess - please stay away!

Extremely poor management. Lack of qualified medical and non medical employees. It takes 6 to 8 hours to discharge a patient. As a patient i do not believe 2nd year 3rd students can take proper care and give medicines. And the environment is not patient friendly, Loud sounds all the time, nurses talking loudly, No sleep at all. Saying all this from my own experience. The only thing that's good here are the doctors.

One after another. At 4pm tests were half done. I had to return home next day as my whole day was occupied with some tests.

Now that Ive read so many reviews about this hospital not having any covid protocol, I know the reason why my grandfather developed covid just when he visited this hospital. My family took my grandfather to this hospital for his Dialysis which was his ever first. He was isolated in the covid ward and the AC temperature was low enough to make him feel cold, when he asked the caretakers to help.. they simply passed by pretending they didn't hear it. The caretakers didn't respond to his needs !! This is not what your loved ones deserve !! He developed pneumonia a week later and today he passed away. What we hoped to be the lifesaver turnt out to be his death bed!!!!

Sharing my dreadful experience and pain my father went through during his final days. My father aged 81yrs admitted in ICU for chest congestion on 14th Nov. From day 1 the ward Doctors starts preparing you for the worst outcome and ask you to not hope for any recovery. They always insist to Intubate unless we sign the form to DNI which I did. The nurses assigned to my father were fresh starters and few of them were there on their first day after completing their nursing course. One of the nurse said she doesn’t know how to put Oxygen mask to the patient. Bed sore was not looked after and was in really bad condition with blood oozing .Also saw my fathers mouth full of blood and on asking the nurse said it was due to intubation which I had already signed not to do so. Overnight parameters were not monitored on 25thNov BP fell drastically resulting in his collapse on early Saturday. Due to all this ill treatment he lost his life on 05th Dec. My father was being treated inhumanly as a specimen to train the new nurses and doctors. Though we choose one of the best hospital and best DrSujanBardhan but the lower level staff and doctors were worse. The way my father was treated I would never recommend anyone to send their loved aged ones to such hospital where they segregate treatment based on age and then experiment upon. I have lost my father and also lost faith in these hospitals who are just charging hefty amounts for poor service. I couldn’t speak for my father while he was alive as I trusted that my father is being looked after in the hospital. But they proved me wrong. GOD will do justice

Truly one of the best hospitals in kolkata and the doctors are good and the nurses and staffs are really humble and polite. My father had an Uro surgery here and now he is totally well recovered and all the credit goes to the hospital, doctors and the staff. Very good machinery, advanced tecnology and also within sufficient money. Hygiene is also well maintained, if you are having any surgery of (cardiology, urology or nephrology) must consider this place atleast once.

Hospital was very crowdy with very less sitting area. Blood pressure checking counter takes lots of time. Staffs are not so friendly, behaved like staff of Govt. Hospital. But Dr. Abhijit Chatterjee's behavior was exceptionally well. I'm overwhelmed.

Good Hospital located at Mukundopur. I did My mother treatment here. All staffs are cooperative. But here need to wait too long to see a doctor. And need to take serial at very early morning. They maintain standard diagnosis thus can provide accurate report. Basis on the report doctor prescribe required medicine, not more nor less. After taking medicine 6 months now my mother is well. Suggested place specially for urology problem.

First of all after traveling for such far distance we reached the hospital. Guess what? There was no enough sits fir the patient to sit. The people working in the front desk were so arrogant that the think they own the hospital. And the poor patients has to stand in a queue for BP checkup. After paying huge amount for test and doctor consultation i was not satisfied. Even after paying for consultation the DNB students will do ur PAC. I REGRET THE DECISION OF COMING TO RNTICS FOR TREATMENT.

Avoid this hospital at all costs. There is NO Covid protocol in place---only 1 cash counter was operational resulting in huge lines, no social distancing based seating arrangement, no sanitization, nothing. The only protection is given to the doctors, nurses and staff. It took me nearly 1 hour to make the payment. Then, we were made to stand in a line outside the doctor's chamber. No vitals (pressure, weight) were taken. All this for a consultation fee of 900 INR, and a registration fee of 300 INR. Pathetic and simply unacceptable, and a sad reality check of how low standards of healthcare have become in Kolkata.

I had a superb experience at this hospital I had consultation with neurosurgery with Dr P P bishnu and got operated on 12/12 reconstruction of Calvaris and graft The best doctor I have met। In my entire life The nursing staff were very cooperative and took utmost care for all our needs The follow up by the administration was also good and took periodic reviews Felt just like home during this pandemic Only hurdle was during admission at the corporate desk Mr sahoo (no empathy towards patient) Winding up with a very nice experience from the top rung to the last person who came in contact

One of the best hospitals I have visited in the City of Joy. The reception and the customer friendly approach towards the patients are very forthcoming. The doctor are also enduring and receptive towards patients.I would recommend this hospital as the best for any ailment. They have the best in-house Junior and Senior Doctors, who helps the patients in every way they can.

I have been admitted in RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Science, Mukundopur w.e.f. 01.02.2021 at 21.00 hours under the Dr. Forqan Babu Shaikh due to acute right leg ulcer with cellulitis with severe pain and fever. Dr. Shaikh with his medical team took tremendous care followed by operation on 03rd February, 2021 and continued to take care with utmost dedication and frequent visit with his medical team including Dr. S Panja (Medicine) and Dr. Asha Rani Bhol (Dermatologist) , and because of that today I got the opportunity to express my heartfelt feelings / experience gathered during my treatment in RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Science, Mukundopur and now I am completely cured and restored full of energy and mental satisfaction The foodstuffs are good in quality and quantity. The Dietcian took care of my meal according to my requirements. Over and above the behaviour of all the (1) nurshing staff (2) floor coordinator (3) floor supervisors (4) sisters of Pantry are excellent, in one word I MUST SAY "Congenial Atmosphere" which I experienced during my medical treatment for the aforesaid reason and periods. The cleaning , care and precautionary measures for COVID-19 is unbelievable to the extreme next to infinity. Last but not the least the sisters of "Treatment Room" are very much caring , they took utmost care during my dressing to that particular "WOUND" . Due to my age it may not be possible for me to remember the names of all the sisters in treatment room BUT so far I remember "Sister Sambari" and her associates took tremendous care. CONCLUSION: Prior to admitted in this hospital I was afraid and nervous BUT today the 13th February, 2021 while getting discharge my feelings are something special.

Equally pleasant have been the experience from every staff member. Special mention needs to be made of Mrs. Antara Ghosh, who manned the reception on the 8th floor. The empathy and patience with which she answered all my questions and numerous calls is beyond y expectation! Kudos to all!

I was admitted to Rabindranath Tagore hospital, Kolkata for my Angiography and Angioplasty on 25.01.22 I have been released from hospital on 27.01.22 after successful Angioplasty. Thanks to Doctors and sisters along with all staffs. For the development of this esteemed organization, I would like to point out few important points. (1)There must be well trained sisters in all places not trainees or under the supervision of experience sister trainees can work. Trainee sisters must be properly trined before giving duty. (2) There is no guidelines in case of fire emergency for patients. (3) There is no guideline of using mobile phone in sharing room, some one is watching movie with full volume and some one was playing music. (4) TV in rooms were not connected with cable.

    1. Hospital Management system is very poor. At the time of admission they informed the time of OT is 4 PM next day. Next day patients informed time of OT 12 noon at 7 am. And Hospital informed about OT 11 AM. My House distance from Hospital is near about 65 KM. 2. Behaviour of Hospital staff is very bad like security, OPD staff at ORTHOPEDIC, INSURANCE STAFF ( AFTER PAYMENT) 3. ONLY ONE PERSON IS ALLOWED FOR VISITING IN ONE DAY. Visiting system is not good patients mental satisfaction. 4. They not maintained serial properly and not giving proper information for treatment room. 5. Seating arrangement is not Sufficient in front of emergency/ treatment room I never recommend this Hospital for treatment.

I was blown away to hear that in order to book a test or buy medicine or even checkup you need to UPI them by being present there at the hospital. You can't pay it online if you are not in the hospital. I sent my uncle and a relative of mine there for checkup. Both of them don't use smartphones. So when my uncle was asked to do some test the budget was going above. So they called me and asked to UPI. But when they went to the reception for the same they said its not possible to UPI if you are not present there. Both of them went there travelling 65km on a car and because of this they have to come again another time paying the car fees. The receptionist were horrible as said by my relative as they were literally shouting at him. It's such a disgrace that being such a great hospital it can do such mediocre and horrible things. Previously for checkups when I went with my uncle it was never an issue but today since I am out this mishap took place. I mean literally how can a receptionist be such a characterless person. You need to behave properly. Same goes when they went to buy medicines there from the pharmacy. If people pay it online from some other location then it should not be an issue. Fix these issues and teach your receptionists some manners.

Recently I admitted my uncle at NH RN Tagore Mukundapur. He had 4 blocks at his heart and one of it has 100% block. I consulted with Dr. Debdatta Bhattacharya. He assured me that angioplasty was possible for my patient. It was a marathon 3.5 hours operation in cathlab of NH Mukundapur. I was very tensed. After operation Doctor came out from operation theatre with a happy face and that time I was relieved. NH Mukundapur gave special attention to it's every patient. Doctors and support staffs are very cooperative. Just one small suggestion, please allow two persons for each visiting card for the patient who are admitted in general ward. Thank you.

The front office staffs should be imparted training on how to communicate properly with patients. They were asking me to download an app immediately after checking my online payment and appointment status. There was a sheer absence of seamless transition from online slot to offline scenario. There was utter incoherence between front office staffs that needs to be taken care of. I had to wait for 1 hour 30 mins despite taking an online slot by paying online. Dr Sujan Bardhan, however, was good.

Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences is located in Mukundapur area of South Kolkata. One can easily reach this place via a direct bus from hubs like Science City, Ruby, Jadavpur, Santoshpur or Garia. It provides world-class quality healthcare services, most of them as per international standards and takes good care of patients. Prices are on the higher side but medical practices and standards are very high. The hospital has a team of super-specialist expert doctors and high end technological infrastructure where one can be certain of top-class medical treatment. The hospital surroundings are cleaned regularly and strict hygiene is maintained and staffs too are helpful and well-informed.

I really had a good experience in this hospital. The doctors are friendly; they don't behave like BUSINESSMEN,but rather as doctors. The nurses are really caring too. The hospital authorities immediately try to take care of any issues that we,the patient's family have. The management system is good too. You get detailed information on the patient's condition, and the procedures that are to be done to cure him. All in all,you know that your family members are safe in the hands of these doctors.

A great hospital with excellent service provided by Doctors and Support staff. I am very much happy with the support I received from them, especially Dr. Siddharth Mani & Team. The cleanliness, environment, canteen facility, communication of staff and doctors, call center help, reporting, parking facility, attentiveness, access to patient information - all are perfectly fine. They don't charge unnecessarily and I even found that for extremely critical patients, Doctors undertake treatment first, rather than financial conditions. With that Thanks note, I do believe everything in this world can get better with each passing day, and here's few of my observations where Hospital Management can focus to make it a better place: 1. Please introduce a dedicated Patient Helpdesk at Front Reception area. Right now, there is none and ALL queries of everybody is being bombarded on the Patient Enrollment persons. They are not able to do justice to such queries simply due to the workload. Obviously there are 3 "May I help you" counters at Back building, but we need the same at Front Reception also. 2. Many patients are struggling to fill-up initial enrollment form, due to their lack of English knowledge. So it would be good to introduce such forms and reports in vernacular language, instead of English. 3. Once Doctor prescribes a set of tests, there is quite a cluelessness on the part of patient party how to proceed further. Some departments require prior appointment (like Holter/TMT/TLT), some don't (e.g. blood test), some distribute reports where the test is done (ECG EEG), some don't (like blood test). 4. Verbal communication of EEG and TMT/HOLTER department can be more polite. I understand they work on a very high pressure environment and people keep disturbing them with silly questions all the time. Yet, politeness has no justification against it. So, in spite of every department doing their bits with great enthusiasm and professionalism, the impression patient-party is getting is that of red-tapism and delay. I suggest to introduce an automated workflow where all such paper works can be done away with, and patient party can get their things done from a single window. I request you not to take these as complaints, rather to consider those as further development areas.

  • 1/5 Avik B. 4 years ago on Google
This is my review based on my last 10 years of experience with this hospital. Avoid this place at any cost. Bunch of thieves disguised as healthcare professionals. - If you do not have any health schemes or sponsorship (e.g. WBHS etc), you will be duped and left helpless. - Prices for diagnostic tests are almost 3 times higher than even top rated diagnostic centres. Even though you pay higher premium, do not expect orderly service, take example of their USG section, for a hospital, handling patients of this magnitude, they only have one USG facility. If there is any emergency OT going on, all patients has to wait till that particular machine comes back from there. There are people waiting for USG on empty stomach since morning till 4 in the evening. - If you are getting an surgery done by a renowned doctor, chances are very high that you will be abandoned after discharge and there will be no way you could contact the doctor after post surgery complications. - I had to rush to their emergency after one week of discharge as I could not contact the doctor for post surgery complications. Even though the doctor who had done the surgery was present at the hospital, as he was not in duty at emergency word, I was admitted under a new doctor against my will. Theses two doctors had some issues between them and the new one changed entire medicine prescribed by the former. I had to spend another 4 days at hospital with agony and pain. After repeated requests, the former doctor took up my case. - If you have any healthcare schemes, The same Surgeon will not give you appointments at the hospital and will redirect you to the RTICS clinic situated at Lansdowne, Kolkata. Discounted doctor fees doesn't apply there. - Staffs are unnecessarily arrogant towards the family members of the patients. - Only pro amid all cons of this hospital is the presence of handful good doctors. If you are going there for the doctors, my advice would be, find some other place or clinic where they visit and do avoid this hospital. Do not go there if not absolutely necessary.

To day I realised why Doctors of Kolkata are at times are subject to ill handling by public. I arrived in kolkata learning a very close Collegue is in ITU and rushed to the hospital, he was being treated. I reached around 5.30 pm but half an hour of questioning could reach me to “May I help” desk and l requested for my patients info. The person was extremely cordial and checked in ITU by telephone and told me that he is improving. On my request to allow me to visit once for a glimpse, he expressed his inability as it is beyond his power informed only Doctor can allow that. On my request, he connected me to Doctor and listening to my plea and considering my age as I told him he said ok but don’t stay beyond a minute. I was issued the slip and I went to ITU and entered after opening my shoe. As I was entering an young Dr. entered and asked why I am in and ask me go out. I told him I am with valid pass but he replied rudely “I don’t care for any permission. I am the incharge and I am asking you go out and wait.” I obeyed but asked him can I see my patient. He was abnormally rude and remarked, I Quote “ I am Doctor Shakya and don’t care for any body giving you permission. I am the head I have told you wait out you do so.” I was out and waiting when an old lady comes and the Dr. appeared to know her. Dr. Told the lady guard to allow them and they entered. I peeped in and ask Dr. can I go in for a minute. He said no and ask me to go back. This really heart me and I told that but I have a valid pass . The Dr. lost his temper and started abusing me and continued with “I am the Doctor incharge and I will not allow you let any body issue pass. I was forced to tell him behave properly and consider my age. you are much younger and most probably I am more educated too. He became furious and shouted go and complain against me, I don’t care, you can go to any body. Unfortunately I would not have so bad had he not permitted the lady and her companion and disowned his own hospital permission slip that with me. He was bent upon to show authority. I simply told him till this age I haven’t seen such misbehaved and full of “I” Doctor in Bangalore. RN Tagore founder Dr. Debi Shetty is a Doctor whose sweet behaviour cures half the ailment. And what a behaviour Great Dr. Shakya of ITU 3 ? I now know why doctors at times gets ill treatment. Even I was feeling like giving him a slap for his egoistic headstrong bossing attitude. Instead my teaching and up bringing compelled me to Pray to God to bless him the real traits of this noble profession. Dr. Shakya be a good human, give up “l” and then only you can be good Doctor. This is a small advice from an 60+ man who has seen the world and specialist in his own field.

The attendants in the general ward should be a little more attentive towards the patients they are taking care of. The private ward on the other hand is a far cry from the former. The nurses are extremely attentive, especially the nurses in charge of looking after the baby and the mother have done a wonderful job. The hospital staff is very much vigilant about the salubriousness of the ward. To add these all up this is one of the most advanced and reliable healthcare facilities in West bengal.

Worst in management & administrative level. Do not follow any proper procedure for OPD check up, OPD patients having heart decease have to wait more than 6 hours, even waiting sometime extends 12am in the morning where the patient party registered themselves at noon (prior). Again, very poor management. Administrators are rude most of the time, and their service will give benifit of less waiting hours only for the known people.

Some slow worker doesn't mean bad hospital. Management might be lazy or confusing but OPD service is quite impressive. I'll definitely mention Dr. BINAYAK DEB(heart consult)and Dr. SUJAN BARDHAN(respiratory) most valuable asset of this hospital.

So writing this review wondering and very saddened, my patient was hospitalized under CCU and he had collapsed at 4:30 in the morning however my family got informed only at 9:30. The information was passed on by one of the medical staff that the patient had collapsed at 4:30 in the morning itself. Moreover to add to the grief was the harassment caused by the hospital's incapable staff to get the mediclaim processed on time. My family had to spend the entire day running behind paperwork and finally when they were totally incapable is when we decided to throw cash and get the formality done because that's how the admin staff of the hospital works. Moreover people from my family were made to sign on a blan paper so that the hospital could attach bills of the tests done on a dead body. I am wondering which hospital does that. Extremely saddening and very unprofessional.

My experience is horrible with Disha as spent close to Rs.4000 for a progressive lens and found that the vision is not correct still. Got the specs checked at Disha again to ensure it's not the fault of the optical company who manufactured the lens. I got my eyes tested again to ensure it was not the fault of the hospital and what I got to hear is the person testing the eye purposefully gave a lower power to train my eyes to adjust to a lower power. Completely unheard of. I am never visiting this place again. Please understand Dr. Arnab Das. Your team is disastrous.

Disha eye care is only fancy stuff and no help. People checking your eye is not a doctor and by the time you visit the real doctor here, you can very much expect him to say that your eyes are in bad condition and prescribe you with their own medicines. Perhaps their cheating ways can be overlooked by people but not me. Having a history of eye problem from childhood I am very much familiar on this process and I can assure you Disha should never be your destination for eye checkup rest assured any operations.

I have been there for my parents’ treatment. My father has been consulting the doctors there at different OPDs such as Cardiology, Urology, Diabetology after his heart surgery since 2003. Last year my mother had been admitted there for cataract surgeries and received treatment from eye IPD and OPD. Both were flawless and successful. Very good doctors are there. Also, I got the 1st dose of Covid vaccination from there. Experience was very satisfactory. Most of the cases I found the staffs of both IPD and OPDs very co-operative, helpful and professional. Especially Ms. Sahana Dutta helped me a lot. Whenever my parents or I had any confusion regarding any appointment or laboratory tests there, she guided us with utmost care. Whether it had been Urology OPD or eye OPD or main reception or reception at the vaccination centre at RTIICS, I found her immense helpful and co-operative to understand the confusions or problems faced by me. She always provided the right solutions to those very quickly. Even, in spite of the long queue of the crowded patient parties, she has always been polite and perfect at her work with great management skills speeding up the procedures. Till now it has been wonderful experience being over there at different OPDs. Next consultation at the Nephrology OPD has been booked for my parent. Experience and reviews would be shared after completion of the visit there.

I found no complaints with the services except some minor ones. Behaviour of staffs, nurses and doctors were very very nice and approachable. Mostly doctor-patient engagement was great which we can just imagine in private chambers. Pricing is reasonable. Transparency is great. I salute all doctors here to give time to the patients and to understand the history before prescribing. And above all management. I wish to have the same work culture by the doctors through out West Bengal and more similar hospitals. Sadly, it is rampant through out our state that, 1 to 5 mins super fast check up and billing Rs 300/Rs 400/Rs 500 can't resolve the patient's problems except only symptoms. Please keep up your good treatment that is resolving the problems not the symptoms and finally not doing sky rocket billing. 👍

I often visit them for any sickness. The hospital staff are helpful and doctors are friendly. Nephrology, Cardiac, Pulmonology departments are remarkably good. Visited for general medical as well and have good experience too. Large number of beds and advanced medical machinery makes it one of the best hospitals. Big parking area, good communication from the rest of the city made it more convenient to common people. For them, too much advertising is needless, their service and good staff and management is enough to attract patients from all over the world.

Since we come for treatment from Bangladesh, we expect something better than Bangladesh not only in medical care, but I don't see anyone at the reception being treated very well, and those who are in pathology, when they do various tests, they say internal from where, I don't know if it has anything to do with the test. Is there any difficulty? I think those who come from far country or far away can be served better. I specifically request the authorities to consider the matter.

From the point of view of the patient, this place is excellent. When it comes to the patient visitors, these people need to be a lot more flexible. I can understand the policy of one visitor at a time. What I refuse to understand is the reason behind allowing only 2 visitors per day for general ward and 1 visitor per day for ICU, ITU etc. I think the hospital need to review this policy and allow 4 or 5 visitors per day(one at a time).

My wife visited Dr. Santosh Kumar Mandal on 30/10/23 due to severe pain because of severe kind of Rheumatoid Arthritis since last 25 years. She was advised some tests and investigation and was asked to come on 01/11/23 with all reports. As she could not stand and walk properly next two days she could complete the test on 02/11/23 only. I reported the hospital on 03/11/23 with the reports. Helpdesk was awful. After few shuttling from desk to desk and waiting for long time at last one lady helped me to talk with a lady assistant of Dr. Mondal. I was informed as I failed the date, I have to take a fresh appointment to show the reports. Then I told, I could take an appointment right now and wait till the doctor finished his last consultation. She told Doctor was too busy and not able to see any further reports. As I was conscious about 6 days free consultation period, I had asked for appointment on 04.11.23. I was informed doctor would not be available before 07/11/23. That means I have to take an fresh appointment after paying 1000/- just to show the reports. The policy is if the doctor is not available , free consultation period is gone. I can't blame staff and doctor as this may be the SOP of Hospital. I, myself, 68+ years old went there 15 km away from my house but refused to allow me to show the reports knowing very well doctor would not be available for next few days. I didn't expect this kind of service from NH Care, Kolkata. I generally avoid visiting doctors of Kolkata but every time it is not possible to go outside Bengal. This was my wife's first visit with the Rheumatologist after the reference from one doctor. Thanks,

All are good (good doctors, professional staffs, excellent all-round medical facilities) except the following. If you are a corporate patient especially under West Bengal Health Scheme (WBHS), you will have least priority to consult a doctor. Either you will not get any appointment under most doctors or if you get an appointment, you can consult the doctor at last even if you come to the hospital at first.

Most of my family members have had some sort of treatment in this highly reputed hospital. The doctors are great. The staffs are cooperative. But the only issue I had with the blood bank they have. They are shortage of blood units so most of the time people are asked to arrange those on their own. This is really hectic as one can definitely arrange the blood from outside but bringing them is really tough because we people do not have the collection kit to keep the blood intact. I would suggest the hospital authority to arrange the bloods from their other hospital like from Narayana Superspeciality as they have ample amount of resources to bring them safely and also both the hospitals are under same group. Otherwise no issue.

The worst experience. We are repeatedly trying to book an appointment for urine culture, but they till couldn't take appointment. They ask for previous reports of the patient, then I said please provide your official WhatsApp or Email id where I can send those reports but they said not possible, the only way is I've to tell them the reports details over phone. Being a non technical person I'm unable to read the huge and handwriting of doctors. 3rd Class. It should be easy for all.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Narayana Hospital RN Tagore Hospital and I must say, the service provided was truly excellent. From the moment I walked in, the staff members were incredibly cooperative and went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and well taken care of. One aspect that stood out to me was the ample space and proper management of the hospital. The facilities were clean, well-organized, and provided a calming environment for patients. It was evident that the hospital took great care in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Moreover, the doctors at Narayana Hospital RN Tagore Hospital were highly skilled and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They took the time to thoroughly assess my condition, answer all of my questions, and provide me with the best possible treatment options. Their expertise and professionalism gave me confidence in the care I was receiving. Overall, my experience at Narayana Hospital RN Tagore Hospital was exceptional. The combination of excellent service, cooperative staff, ample space, and highly skilled doctors made for a truly positive experience. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care.

Except for the Best Doctors, rest is just eye wash. The food quality for patients is horrible and pathetic. Repeated complaints by many patients made no difference. Some of the nurses are also very rude, especially when called more than couple of times. They put unbelievable additional and hidden cost if going for cashless. One must check each item of the bill and clarify. There are few staffs who are un-empathetic and extremely rude. I had to literally escalate to the top management. My experience with Dr Satyadip Mukherjee (Uro oncology) is the best. He is amazing. But the facilities as per the amount charged is not worth. CHECK YOUR BILL 10 TIMES, ASK QUESTIONS , GET 100% PROOF OF CONSUMPTION, THEN PAY. THEY ARE DACOITS WAITING TO SLASH YOUR POCKET.

Had utilised their services for arthroscopy of my son's knee. From start to finish, everything went very smoothly. Dr. Soumya Chakraborty is not only an excellent orthopaedic surgeon but a gem of a person. Madam Antara and the gentleman in her cabin also helped us a lot. The entire staff was very cooperative and guided us well. Another gem whom I would like to mention is Dr Rajesh Jha who not only referred me to Dr Soumya but helped me immensely. May Divine blessings be with all.

I,Proloy Chatterjee, would like to thank you RN Tagore for this wonderful treatment. Starting from the administration to all the Staff,Nurses,I would like to thank you all. Dr.Lalit Kapoor is the best doctor, he is next to God for me. I had a critical heart condition but because of his team my operation is a successful. I would also like to thank all the staff. They are well so behaved, highly trained and the warmth they shown is exceptional. My family never faced any kind of trouble because of their cooperation and coordination. They never losed their cool amidst all the chaos and helped us whenever we needed. My family and me myself, are grateful to RN Tagore and all the staff members and the doctors involved.

Everything was perfect, the only person who was available for me after my surgery was a nurse named Dalia Mondal. she's such a nicest person I have ever met. Without any frustrations or irritation, she was always there for me. She helped me in every single and possible ways. I know it's her duty but it's not just about the duty, the way she treated me was totally beyond my expectations. She was available for me for like every second. All the doctors are perfect and they keep checking.
