I wanted to take this opportunity to share with the profound impact Dr Soumy Paik had in our lives. On 1st Oct’21 my Son got hurt in his right knee in a freak accident at my building. As a first Aid, we first rushed to a nearby leading Hospital, where x-ray was done & there dint seemed to be any Fracture. So the orthopedic suggested to leave the knee open & asked for bed rest (which we now realise could have been a disaster for recovery of my sons knee). However we decided to visit Dr Paik (being Paediatric Orthopedic) as a result of overwhelmingly strong recommendation from our well-wishers. After meeting him, we realised importance of showing to Paediatric specialist for any issue related to children. His suggestion to put a temporary Plaster straight away for 5 days (& then knee cast for further 4 weeks), is what we feel will go long way in proper recovery of my sons knee. While we initially hoped that there wont be such hassles, because handling a Child in Plaster is not easy, however his extra cautiousness was actually very much required, as my son (any child of 3 years for that matter) is a hyperactive child. I believe the over cautious treatment, by putting his knees in plaster for 5 weeks, has helped his knee to recover properly & a blessing for him in long term. Our entire experience was very pleasant & professional. The way he & his team handles children who visit them & explained everything to us, regarding his injury & various stages in recovery, & entire process of Treatment with clarity, is really appreciable. Regarding the clinic also, we must appreciate the basic IT infra in place, like giving Unique Patients IDs, scanning every prescription & recording the line of treatment in a neat & clean format. While your overall system is markedly better, even from big hospitals, even the staff served us with patience, shown genuine compassion and empathy and not made any exceptions when it comes to following procedures. For any orthopaedic Treatment for Children, my 1st & only suggestion in Calcutta would be to visit Dr Paik. We like to thank him & his team again from bottom of our heart.

Dr. Paik treated our 13 year old son for a fractured left ankle. Right from the first day we found his demeanor very reassuring and felt confident that he would do what is best for our son. The doctor could have recommended surgery and we would have readily agreed. However, he explained to us that while surgery may be a relatively less painful option, given our son's age, it could negatively affect his growth later. He plastered the leg and, four months later, I am happy to tell you that my son has recovered completely. Dr. Paik is a rare example of a young doctor who has the patient's interest at heart and does not make treatment recommendations with the objective of lining his own pocket. He is patient with kids and they feel comfortable in his presence. Keep it up doc!!

Lateral Condyle Fracture Humerus and Olecranon Fracture accidentally happened in my son's left hand. So, the operation was must. I'm very much thankful to Dr. S. Paik. Now my son's hand is completely normal without any bend. Gladly saying again that I am grateful to Dr. S. Paik.

Doctor was very humble, gentle in his job, caring to my child. His surgical skill is excellent. My child recovered quickly from supracondylar fracture with excellent follow up X-ray recovery picture following closed reduction and K-wire fixation.👍👍

It's a good clinic for children. The doctor Mr. Soumya Paik is a kids orthopedics surgeon and is very talented has all the latest methodology to cure the children. I visited him twice for my child's elbow fracture. As a local guide I recommend him.

Excellent Doctor ! My 7 month old baby stopped moving his right arm. Pediatrician had suggested x-ray. We were scared to death. Dr Soumya just took around 1 min to heal him. My baby had a pulled elbow and then in a minute he was laughing and playing with the same hand, all thanks to the doctor !
