The
time
I
spent
at
Bulbulir
Basa
Orphanage
was
one
of
the
greatest
experiences
I
have
ever
had.
The
orphanage
owner,
Mithu,
is
a
genuine
and
high
spirited
man
who
pays
close
attention
to
make
sure
everyone
is
healthy,
happy
and
cared
for.
His
most
defining
quality
is
his
sense
of
humor.
English
is
not
his
first
language
and
this
man
is
absolutely
hilarious.
The
orphans
are
the
sweetest
set
of
kids.
They
ranged
from
about
6-10.
They
go
to
school
everyday
and
they
take
their
schooling
and
homework
very
seriously.
I
was
going
into
college
when
I
visited
and
I
found
their
self-restricting
study
habits
admirable.
They
all
spoke
3
languages
which
was
impressive
and
which
they
definitely
used
to
their
advantage
to
plot
hug-attacks
or
other
cute
surprises
on
whoever
was
in
the
room.
They
are
well-behaved
and
attentive
listeners.
My
heart
really
goes
out
for
these
kids.
I
had
my
19th
birthday
at
this
orphanage
and
I
was
feeling
a
bit
homesick
since
it
was
the
first
birthday
I
was
spending
away
from
my
twin,
so
I
stayed
in
my
room
for
a
bit.
The
kids
made
me
so
many
birthday
cards
and
kept
sliding
them
under
my
door
until
I
came
out
and
played
with
them.
The
orphanage
itself
was
a
clean
and
comfortable
place.
There
is
a
lovely
deck
where
we
ate
our
meals
together
even
during
monsoon
season,
which
was
beautiful.
There
is
another
small
deck
on
the
roof
of
the
building
and
from
there
you
can
see
the
town
for
miles
all
around.
The
food
at
the
orphanage
was
probably
the
best
month
of
eating
I
have
ever
had.
They
have
live-in
cooks
who
got
their
chickens,
vegetables
and
other
ingredients
fresh
off
the
land
from
village
farmers
every
morning.
At
one
point,
we
even
ate
some
of
the
plants
from
the
orphanage's
property.
All
around,
this
is
an
excellent
orphanage
and
a
fantastic
experience.
I
was
only
there
for
a
month
and
it
feels
like
my
second
home.
