👍👍 A themed café, theme is Debabrata Biswas, the Rabindra Sangeet Icon. This used to be the house where the legendary singer lived. Café reverberates with his famous style of deep, soulful Rabindra Sangeet. Food is tasty, and quite diverse in variety. Snacks & some sandwiches, kachoori & fish fries/fin... The ambience was peaceful.... Rabindrasangeet playing in the background. We ordered sandwich, ice tea and shakes with icecream. Everything was fine except the iced tea.Dude ,you dont make ice tea simple by adding ice and flavour into liquor tea. please dont torture us by serving this .. and charging us a hefty amount for this. The sandwich was okayish, not great. Overall i regret paying more than 1000 rps for this food.... overhyped.Banks on the emotional quotient. Not recommended. Will not go back.

Legendary Rabindra Sangeet singer Late Debobrata Biswas's home now converted into a restaurant named 'MUD Cafe' with a nostagic touch near Gariahat. Good food, good ambience with nice menu & price. Very popular to younger generations.

I recently visited Mud Café for a quick bite and had an amazing experience! It was my first time over there and the food was absolutely delicious. A wide variety of options were available for both vegetarian and non vegetarian preferences. The homely ambience and aesthetic decor created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. What impressed me the most was the affordable pricing, offering excellent value for money. The staff was incredibly cordial and accommodating. Overall, Mud Café exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Will definitely go there again soon to try their signature dishes. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for great food, a comfortable atmosphere and a delightful adda session!

The aesthetic and tranquil café amidst the busy streets of Triangular park, with a hint of nostalgia is all I can say about the ambience. The rich aroma of coffee coupled with the songs of Rabindranath tagore in the voice of Debabrata Biswas aka GERORGE-DA who lived in this very place is definitely enthralling. The food tastes great with an amazing presentation, this café is worth your visit . P.s: I was too hungry to click food pics, but I will make sure next time I update the photo section. Till then you can a pay a visit to the café. Cheers.

This cafe is not so big in size, but very cozy. Food is excellent. And the most exciting thing is that all the songs sung by the legendary Rabindrasangeet Artist Debabrata Biswas always played here because the legendary singer lived in this building for many years.

We feel nostalgia in every corner of the cafe because the legendary Debabrata Biswas, popularly known as George-da, had lived here at 174E, Rashbehari Avenue which a year ago has been turned into a cafe- Mud Café

Lovely Rustic ambience with slow old bengali manna dey songs!! Felt like it is durga puja with no crowd 😇 A bit pricey compared to the quantity!! Located at Triangular Park, just beside the House of SL. Cost for two : 900

One of the highest graded cafe over at Kolkata. We love it because of the ambiance... Yes, this is wonderfully decorated cafe house whose usp is the ambiance.. located right on the main road (very near to Triangular park). We have visited 3rd time. Today we had Darjeeling Tea (Pot) and Mud special Sandwich.. Perfect presentation and taste.

Must visit for Debabrata Biswas fans. We were informed that the famous baritone voice rabindra sangeet singer stayed here. The restaurant continually played his beautiful songs one after the other. Since the first floor was empty and quiet, where we sat, listened to those gems from tagore from the maestro. Location - just beside triangular park. Food - Matching the ambience, light, and tasty. It was nostalgic listening to "Bajilo kaharo bina," " Prano bhoriye, Trisha hariye," etc, over a cup of darjiling tea.Service ok.

Nice two storied cafe bang on Gariahat road inside a house easy to locate by there round name plate . A great relaxing place to come to after the busy shopping experience. It is not like today’s all fancy cafe but has an ambience of old house with cane chair and table with mosaic flooring and some decorative item here and there. You will get some good coffee to some good Darjeeling place .. this place is perfect for all age group. We have not counted how many time we have been to this place.

Visited the cafe on a random day and the experience was very nice. The place is quaint and it is a lovely place to go with your family. Specially if you're enthusiasts of Rabindrasangeet and the Bengali culture.

I am a regular here. It's nice, small space with tastefully done interiors, tucked inside an old Bengali house. They serve good finger food, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. The ambience is good, staff is very polite and prices are easy on pocket and it usually isn't overcrowded which means one can comfortably spend an hour or so reading the Bengali books from the in-house library, enjoying the food or simply chatting with friends.

A cosy nook within the hustle bustle of a crowded locality, is what this place offers you. A laid back place for a relaxed gup shup and simple list of items in the menu. You should be fond of Tagore songs and the baritone of Debabrata Biswas because that's the gentle background music. The famous singer has stayed here for long during his lifetime. You may still sense his noble presence. It is a theme cafe and a good one at that. If you are looking for a stylish eatery, please give it a miss.
