The decor, ambience of the cafe is so good. The staffs are polite and courteous. We tried out 1.Cold coffee @140rs 2.Chicken and cream pasta 3.Fish and chips @220rs 4.chicken sandwich with fries @210rs Overall it was 1100/- They serve enough quantity and we didn't have to wait much for the food. The pasta was my favorite. It was so delicious. Also i loved the fries and their mayonnaise dip. It was a bit unique from the kfc one. The sandwiches also had enough chicken in it. Just didn't liked the fish and chips one. It tasted a bit odd and cold coffee was okayish. You can spend time with your friends and family as long as you want.

It's a small cozy cafe above the Oxford bookstore. We ordered 4 bubble iced teas and an English tea cake. I wouldn't say the food was anything extraordinary, it wasn't bad either but certainly overpriced. This cost us 1300 INR. The ambience is nice though especially on a busy Christmas Eve.

More then 150 types of teas and a brief introduction to them. A tea lover's paradise. The staff is very well mannered. Situated inside Oxford Bookstore, Park Street, this is a highly recommended place if you like tea. It will have something for everyone.

It's a very good place to read a book and grab a quick bite. It's situated at Oxford Book Store at Park Street. It's serves various Sub Sandwiches, Classic Sandwich and various Sweet and Savory Items. They also serve various Tea's and Coffee. One should try out the place for a afternoon tea or Hi Tea. Prices are reasonable and the place is good for children and friends.

This place happens to be my favourite. I've been here many times and I absolutely love it. Their cappuccino, cold coffee and fish n chips is what I like the most here. I ordered the chicken club Sandwich and it was good. The Oxford bookstore is situated below. Overall, the place is super cozy and is definitely good for a peaceful cup of coffee with snacks! Suggested for all foodies and book lovers! ❤️💕

Located conveniently on the second floor of The Oxford Bookstore, situated beside The Park, this is the perfect place to spend your weekend evenings with a cup of tea in one hand and a book in the other. We ordered the Peach Iced Tea, and came a tall glass of perfectly made Iced tea with peach flavouring. Although it had a little less tea flavour but still it served its purpose, a dose of coolness on a hot Summer evening. Then we ordered the Fish and Chips and we were not disappointed at all! We were served 3 fat fillets of Basa fish very lightly coated with breadcrumbs with a side of chips and tartare sause, which brought the whole dish together. I stayed there till 9 and loved the ambiance and crowd! One of the must visit places in Park Street!

After quite a few visits to this cafe located on the mezzanine floor of Oxford Book store on Park Street, I am writing this review. Earlier whenever I visited I found it to be an excellent option for good, affordable, healthy and tasty snacks. This time however unfortunately things were different. To start with we had to wait a long time for someone to take down our order. Most of the teas on their menu were not available and we had to order from a very limited and frugal selection. When the tea was served the teapot was stained and broken at the spout. Since I have been here earlier I must admit, their standard has deteriorated considerably. Another issue I found was that service charge was being billed without first enquiring with the consumer. Once you raise an objection, it is being waived. But very few patrons are aware of this and end up paying.

Service is horrible. Coffee is decent. Pizza had a thick crust( very tough) and personally didn't like the taste of the sauce (very less toppings). It was sour. The cheapest Dominos pizza is easily better than this.

Giving 2 stars just because of its good ambience.. and also the staffs were polite.. the food was disgusting.. ordered Alfredo pasta which was completely tasteless.. adding oregano and chilli flakes were of no use.. wanted to have bubble shake but they didn't have that.. had to order normal mango and cranberry shake.. that was disgusting as well..

It's a small cozy cafe above the Oxford bookstore. The bookstore is cool.We ordered chicken pizza, cafe late and cold coffee with ice cream. I wouldn't say the food was anything extraordinary, it wasn't bad but certainly overpriced. This cost us approx 600+ and they charged us gst+service charge.I asked them about it, they said that it is optional. Then they changed the bill and gave a new one.The ambience is nice though especially on a busy Christmas Eve.

A beautiful ambience surrounded with books.. Sitting arrangements are also great. I had one oreo shake and Sandwiches.. Those were also up to the mark. If anyone wants to spend the evening by themselves only.. This is one of the best place for that.

The ambience is great - small and cosy. Decent selection of teas. The food is only so so but overall it’s a convenient hang out and meeting spot.

Not many people know this but please check your bills before paying, they take service charges by themselves which is included in the bill itself. So please check it once before paying. When i and my friends went there we ordered 3 drinks amongst which the cold coffee with ice cream was superbly good (highly recommended), the raspberry ice tea was not very pleasing and lastly we ordered café au laté (not recommended) which was quite a disappointment as the amount of the coffee was not worth the price. For food we ordered a bowl of veg ramen (highly not recommended), if you are not a fan of peas and veggies instead of noodles then don't order this. Almost half of the bowls was filled with peas & the broth and there was barely any noodles, also it tasted nothing like ramen. So overall i was not quite satisfied with the food and this place is a little overrated. Although the ambience and aesthetics of this place is pretty good tho and the Oxford book store beneath too.

This cozy place is located in the 1st floor of Oxford bookstore, Park Street. It is well decorated and also pocket friendly. We tried their: ● Mango smoothie ● Iced coffee ● Platter of chips with dips, which had regular French fries, wedges and 2 onion rings Food tasted okayish. The service took about 10 mins. They charge 10% service charge.

Tried this place to have a quick dessert post dinner. Had their chocolate brownie topped with ice cream. It was fresh, the brownie was served hot with crunchy walnuts in it.

Didn't expect such a disappointing cafe in Oxford bookstore. Extremely poor food quality. Beverages were too sweet and couldn't even be finished. Pasta was horribly cheesy. All kinds of teas and starters are just made from prepackaged readymade products. Service was also not upto the mark. They should have allowed reading and browsing books in the cafe at least.

Located in park street, exactly beside the park hotel This cafe is located inside the Oxford book store on the first floor We ordered a latte, cold coffee with ice cream and non veg chicken platter Both the coffees were delicious, but the platter tasted horrible.. Quantity was really less, we were only served 2-3 pieces of nuggets, sausages.. Which cost us rs 200 Please avoidordering this dish..

It's a beautiful place to have chai and conversation. If you are a book lover it's heaven for you . Chai+ surrounded by books. What more can you ask for. I along with a friend visited this place on International Tea day. 15 Dec. Making it even more special. They have variety of flavours and combination of tea. And some thing to eat as well. Do visit .

This is such a pleasant spot to sit and read your new books. The menu is somewhat limited currently, but the items they do have are really good value and very tasty. Service is fast and friendly.

Just above Oxford Bookstore, Cha Bar provides a unique experience with books and chai. You can get appetizers and main course meals. It's a good space for working remotely and also if you want to hangout somewhere after buying books.

I used to love visiting this small cozy cafe along with Oxford book store. Visited after a couple of years and to my surprise the service and infrastructure has heavily deteriorated. There is no air conditioner in this store, only pedestral fans and portable mini cooler. Since the kitchen of the cafe is an open one, the heat and smoke from the kitchen keeps getting to the sitting area making it hot and uncomfortable. In today's day and time and in an area like park Street, a non ac cafe is simply unimaginable. The prices have gone up but the quantities have gone down. If you cannot provide customers the basic comfort of an air conditioner then you should keep your prices lower.

Was very recently eating at Cha Bar and the food and the drinks was shockingly horrible. Every thing we ordered (cold coffee, hot chocolate, arabietta) was abysmal. Shocked to see such a fall in standards when the one in Delhi is very good.

A very nice little place to chill. It's located just above the Oxford Book Store in Park Street. You can spend several hours here. The staff do not rush you to leave. The food is fine. The quantity is more than ample. They serve smoothies, cold coffee etc in humongous glasses. Difficult to finish one. The price is totally pocket-friendly, considering the ample quantity. The decoration is very soothing to the eyes. Interesting trivia about tea written all over the walls.

Sitting @chabarofficial surrounded by a myriad of books and walls with quotes and little facts about tea in India , transported me to a world that has always been my safety place. It is a heaven for foodies who are also bibliophiles. I tried a fusion tea that had essence of tiger Hill and strong flavours of gunpowder. The colonial hangover seems eminent whenever I sipped from my cup of tea. P.S. you'll be spoilt for choices when it comes to tea @chabarofficial . . . . one of the best places of Kolkata ... simply love it .. cha and books , what more do you want ... Salad muffins, fries , sandwiches are good too and more or less pocket friendly than other park streets restaurants.... but only problem is it open in 11Am if you want morning tea or breakfast you won't get it

😐 Simply come here for the atmosphere and history. Nothing should be eaten here. Cold coffee was a letdown. It was cold water that had been sweetened with a pinch of coffee. The fish kaviraji was satisfactory. Despite the fact that there is a no-smoking sign on the premises, I observed people smoking...
