One of the great cafes at Southern Avenue. From Deshapriya Park crossing you have to walk around 6-7 mins to get there. Their minimalistic approach is great. The cause behind this cafe is huge and really appreciable. All the staff here are HIV+ ones, that's why the name is 'Positive'. The service is a bit slow but I never mind about that at all, after knowing the back story. The food is very tasty. And the beverages served in a huge amount! We ordered Fish and Chips and Grilled Chicken Steak, both the items turned out really well! In the beverages we took Blueberry Ginger Mojito & Icy Chilly Mango Mojito, which were great as well! In conclusion I would strongly recommend this cafe. Last but not the least, the thing needs to be mentioned is their pocket friendly menu, the pricing for all the items is surprisingly low!

Ambiance good, homely atmosphere. Staffs are well behaved. The main attraction is the cafe fully managed by HIV positive's which is first in Kolkata. Great initiative. Food is good. Price is lil high but great experience at all.

Nothing better than to combine a wonderful time eating out with being consciously and joyfully inclusive members of society. Lovely staff who happen to be HIV positive but who make us forget it with their cheerful demeanour and professional manner, always ready to assist. Earning with dignity, with warmth, with dedication. The signboard says "We love positive minds" and "Let's brew love". This place is very clean, bright and easily accessible, right on Lake View Road with a relaxing ambience sans loud music or too many people, hence conducive to conversation. Affordable and delicious menu items which offer something for everyone, beautifully presented. Absolutely worth repeat visits! When taking photos please be respectful of the staff. For privacy, taking photos of their faces is not allowed. Nothing stops us from telling them though how brave they are and how nice their service is.

Been to Cafe Positive today... A wonderful cafe, beautiful ambiance, good and equally tasty food, pocket friendly and lastly would highly recommend to visit. Staffs very well mannered. It is operated by HIV positive persons. The slogan for HIV AIDS 2023 is " Global solidarity shared responsibility". It is said, " HIV does not make people dangerous, so you can shake their hands and give them a hug; Heaven knows they need it." We express gratitude to the organiser. We should visit here , feel show or express love. It is a clean, drive through and free parking space restaurant. The food is good. The price is reasonable. Their behaviour is pleasant. One thing it is humbly mentioned is that during my visit the TV was running in full volume. The volume should be fair and sensible.

Experience of a lifetime. I had first hand experience of food from a HIV positive restaurant. The girls, barely teens, served food with utmost care with smile on their faces. The service and behaviour was beyond my imagination. Coffee was great. Grilled chicken sandwich was filled with chicken and mayonnaise and served with sauce. Relished everything. It seems that the restaurant is not patronized very much by all due to the public image of HIV related things etc. The foot fall is more during the Puja and other festivals. I request everybody to patronize this restaurant and make the lives of the HIV positive girls meaningful and make them happy in their profession. There is nothing to fear regarding food from HIV positive persons. The restaurant is situated in a very convenient place and transport of all types can be availed to reach this place. So please come with a positive attitude and help others to remove the stigma attached to the incurable disease which is not transmitted through food prepared by them. Make this world a happy place to live.

Update: The new, improved and revamped Cafe Positive has moved to a better location near Southern Avenue. The food and beverages have becomer even better in taste. Definitely try out the sausage platter, cold coffee, chicken sandwich. The staff is also very cordial and professional. Wonderful little peaceful place in Southern Avenue which is quiet and a good place to work, chill or catch up without loud music or noise. Free wifi available as well! Price is quite reasonable considering the taste and is totally worth it. . . . . Hidden gem in Jodhpur Park. Nice, cozy place. Converted from a garage. Good, tasty food. I had the cold coffee which was quite good. Staff is also very pleasant and well-behaved. Founder Mr. Ghosh is also very helpful and courteous. Must visit if you are in this part of town.

A cozy cafe with a noble thought behind it. I visited with my parents and tried Bhetki Fish nChips. Quality and quantity was good. Do support the cause and help them to grow.

The cafe is a great initiative. Food is just awesome with very good service and ambience. Just the rates are a bit on the higher side.

This café is run by a bunch of HIV Positive youngsters. Probably this is also the first café in Asia to run by a crew of HIV Positive people, which includes both men and women over 18 years. We took some sandwiches and fish and chips from here as packed items. Though the taste was not too brilliant but still kudos to the people of this place for their effort to rejuvenate.

Very nice ambience, all staffs are very polite and well behaved. We ordered lemon iced tea, chicken popcorn and french fries all foods and beverage were very nice.

It's a great initiative that you get to see in the city...tucked away at a para gully beside a market.. it helps people to get rid of their prejudice against HIV positive people.. this awareness is important. The food was standard... Not amazing but not bad aswell.

The total bad experience.. Just think about some girls are working normally but the food and service is not worthy. This is not positive experience for me. Negetive impact creates.

Had the worse experience... The food quality was average, they charged 20 ruppees for parcel which has been done in a normal foil pack and the toast has been dipped in the pasta itself and it turned soggy

Amazing place! Unbelievably good food at very reasonable prices. The quantity of beverage servings is unparalleled. Hospitality is noteworthy. Very polite and courteous staff. A place I would go back to again and again .

Some critical observations: They served tea and coffee and sugar separately, but didn't provide stirring spoon to mix. Ordered tea and coffee, they served without milk. AC was running in 25 degrees but atmosphere was hot. Interior design is good. Staff behavior was good.

Situated on Lake View Road, it is one of the best cafes in South Kolkata. Everything about this cafe is amazing. The good is great. Not too spicy or oily but at the same time not compromising on the taste and quality. Coffee and mocktails are also great. The ambience is lovely. The staff is courteous. Coffee aficionados should go for their Americano and Espresso. And among the mocktails, the Icy Chilly Mango Mojito is a must try. In the food, grilled chicken, chicken popcorn, fish finger (in which they also put a layer of cheese in the coating), chicken sandwich, bacon wrapped chicken sausage and Mac and cheese are the ones I've had so far. Each and every item is perfect in terms of taste and propertion. Prices are reasonable.

The cafe was made with a positive intention, that's what attracts most. Good chilling place with friends. Do try the fish and chips over there.

Fantastic place. Cool ambiance. Must visit with friends. Only thing which I didn't like was that customers were smoking inside the cafe whereas there was a 'no smoking' sign at the entrance.
