Absolutely awful .. Rude Staff refusing to let my daughter in the club stating she was drunk because of the way she was walking, My daughter has a limp due to her hip and the bouncer was very rude still insisting she was drunk after we had explained otherwise, we got in at £16 !! And then there was a actuation with another member of our party, the bouncer outside said they were drunk too and refused them entry .. I asked for my money back as we were on a hen party and all need to stay together, and they refused! This led to the guy in charge manhandling the party member which is assault. The whole situation needs sorting, as when challenged over how they treat their clientele they become bullies.. and refuse to let you speak. Horrible experience in what could of ruined the hen party if we had let it.. never ever will we go there again!! 🤬

Avoid at all costs. This place is racist and dangerous. Our friend got attacked with racist comments and a bunch of girls started to hit our other friends. The bumpers left everyone white inside and kicked out only our non-white friends. Don´t support this and avoid the place.

Worst service I have ever received in a club. I was left gobsmacked that after paying for 2x booths and bottles of alcohol for the group at premium price, we are then asked to pay £15 a mixer once we used our 4 pitches up. I cant explain how disappointed I was to find the staff so utterly useless, rude and unhelpful. The only thing they would offer is soda water and that's because we complained... Won't be going back again and wouldn't suggest any of my friends/family go either. Rude staff all around. Don't go.

Quite possibly the best customer experience of my life. If the owner of this place is reading this, immediately give Shannon a raise commencerate with her innate ability to provide customers with an incredible night. I do not know her, will probably never visit Kuda again but god damn did we have a good time.

Power hungry bouncer. Hate to pull the race card but me and my black friend weren’t let in for no apparent reason and when challenged with some logical questions he refuses to answer and tells you to get out of the queue. Frustrating to say the least.

Bouncers at this place are absolute shambles. Especially a blonde female bouncer, had a very bad experience with her the other night. Aggressive for no reason, man-handling my girlfriend. She was doing nothing wrong for this to be done. Never coming back.

The club itself is a nice night out. However, the bouncers are a disgrace. My left toe could do a better job. Unsure how such awful people are hired, guess the application process is selected by 101 year old Brenda

Drove almost 100 miles today, paid for overnight accommodation and paid for a ticket to visit this club, only to be told that they don’t accept single people, but if I join the back of the now massive que, that the same security guard will presend to ignore me as I pass ? How incompetent is this ? I can’t come in because I’m by myself, but if I pretend to be with someone else, the ‘security’ will let me through ? That’s very good security ! Since I don’t want to play kiddy games with idiots, I left, I’ll spend my money elsewhere and spread the word that the ‘secure policy’, is ‘join the back of the queue and let’s pretend !’ Lol

My partner turned up for an arranged job interview. He waited an hour but no one turned up. Or even answered the number he had to ring. Doesn't give a very good first impression of the company he could have ended up working for.

This review is for Carnival of the Dead on 30/10/2021. We'd like to thank the team for being professional and friendly from the get go. From the bouncers and reception, to servers and coat check, everything went rather smoothly despite our large group of 11. Music was great as well, a good mix of crowd pleasers all round. We were hosting friends from other cities, and are grateful our York night out did not disappoint.

Tried getting in with my foreign drivers license but they did not let me in, clearly it was a racist remark. I had missed me chance to use my pre booked ticket and had to wait around 49 mins to try to get in. The body guard with the white hair is awful

Yeha it's good for the student nights 100%. Definitely the best clubbing music in york/ the only one that goes for the proper house/bass stuff. Avoid on Fridays n Saturdays lol

Bouncers are rude, racist and they abuse their power. They are not reasonable whatsoever.

I previously booked a booth hear on Halloween and left my bottle of ciroc came back and it was gone when I told some of the staff to watch it whilst I went to toilet so wasn’t happy

Impossible to get a drink, too cramped and crowded to dance, fights breaking out left, right and centre and just not a fun atmosphere. Avoid.

Got kicked out for dancing. Has made York a no for me because of the low life bouncers. Sort your security out

Daughter was spiked here last weekend (first year uni student) and was very ill for two days (and still feels ill now). The club has not acknowledged the incident or even replied to messages about the incident. They don't care and anyone going to the club really has to take care that they are not spiked or worse.

Everything was pretty great except the first appearance of the disgusting bullies referring to themselves as security. Shocking.

Currently the best club in York! Lots of space and variety. Also a load of good places to sit down when you get tired dancing to all the sick tunes. Would be 5 stars but recently they removed the best seats!!! Used to use the seats on the left side of the main dance floor if you face the DJ area. Couldn't wait to go back on them after 18 months away due to COVID. So comfortable, such amazing placement but no, I unfortunately found then gone! I know I sound like I'm drunk when writing this but I promise I'm not. I'm actually waiting in line for the worst club in York, Club Salvation!!!

Not particularly cheap drinks but the DJ was pretty good, the bouncers where actually pretty nice to chat to. Unreal atmosphere and definitely one of the best nightclubs in York at the minute.

The club was quite quiet for a Friday. Fair enough. But £8 entry?! £20 for 4 shots and a VK?! How can that be right? If your club is quiet surely you’re supposed to charge less for entry to encourage people to come in. Please work on this Kuda! The music was great but ruined by the extortionate prices when it wasn’t even busy. Feels like you were trying to take advantage of drunk people who would just tap their phones on the card machine. :(

*Edit* decided to leave after that, mentioned it to security, they called a manager and he sorted it out. Still a sketch situation but it was resolved. Still left for another spot* Came in for a night out, got charged double for drinks compared to the advertised price. Screens at the bar said vodka red bull 2.80, charged is more than double that, 11 pound for 2 of them. Asked 3 different staff they all said sorry for your luck.

Don’t waste your time. Firstly, they will not accept Scottish Sterling ???? This should have been my first clue to just walk away but used card to pay entry. Club was empty & music poor. Gave it 40 minutes before I decided it was sucking the life right out of me & left. No atmosphere.

If you want a fun night out go some where else. This club has insufficient steps in place to stop young women's drinks being spiked... So if you do not want a night in hospital go somewhere else

Everyone there seems off their heads before half 11 which is a bit weird but the drinks are reasonably priced and overall is a nice club

Please educate your door staff on exactly what forms of ID are accepted. Being on guest list and the rest of us having provisionals was what let us in in the end, but my friend had a citizen PASS card which she was initially denied access for. We were told it said on the website that ‘this’ card (which was mistaken and dismissed as something else maybe?) has stopped being recognised as ID and that all information is on your website. We checked the website this morning and the information alone was difficult to find, but then found that PASS IDs are in fact accepted. Rest of the door staff were understanding except the one, lots of upsetting fuss for absolutely no reason. In light of York door staff in multiple locations being put in the spotlight again lately, it would be a shame for small mistakes like these to continue happening for Kuda. Otherwise a good night.

Never had an issue here, always pre book my tickets. Never had an issue with bouncers or bar staff in here. Club always has a good atmosphere and there always alot of ppl.

Last night my friend and I from Leeds had lost our friends who were inside Kuda and our phones had died which we made clear to the bouncers . We asked the bouncers nicely if one of us were able to pay to go in to go get one of our friends. They said no due to closing the doors however this meant that two 18 year old girls were stuck for two hours waiting. I had asked if they could get a bouncer to try look for them ect. The proper safety protocols were not in place at all. They could see us desperately trying to find our friends asking people to nip back in to find them and then sat on the curb freezing. Anything could’ve happened just because they wouldn’t let us go in. It was disgraceful.

horrible bouncers, wouldn’t let me go back in to find my friends I had lost even though my hand was stamped and was by myself. Nor would they let me even charge my phone so I could book a taxi. Really need to look into staffing as it is really not okay to leave an 18 year old outside in York with a flat phone/no friends.

Kuda is absolutely shocking rude staff didn’t used to be like that. And also why are Fridays photos still not posted? Seriously think you need a new team off staff or to train them up not to roll their eyes.

Got a booth and it was a great experience. The lady that was looking after us was really good and welcoming couldn’t have asked for a better service.
