A proper weekend place to go with kids and family. The whole compound is well organized and clean. The 3D short films are great. Models displayed at the science exhibition hall require some maintenance as some of them aren't working properly. Food corners and canteen need maintenance, would not recommend buying food from there. Apart from that it is a nice place to go for a day out. They also have music synced water fountain right behind the maze. Loved it !

The online ticketing system didn't work so had to take the tickets physically from the counter. As for the overall experience it was pretty good as usual. Took the time machine ride, it was quite thrilling. The evolution of life-dark ride was also good and informative. The rope way for me is the best attraction. Hope everyone has fun!

My visit to Science City in Kolkata left me feeling quite disappointed. I was excited to explore the various rides and shows, hoping for a day filled with fun and learning. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations as not all attractions were open. The limited availability of rides and shows significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the visit. It felt like a missed opportunity to engage with the fascinating exhibits and experiences Science City has to offer. From the moment I entered, the anticipation of a memorable day gradually transformed into a sense of letdown. Worse yet, the closure of certain attractions made the visit feel like a waste of both time and money. I had hoped for a comprehensive experience that would justify the expenses and contribute to an enjoyable day out. However, the reality was far from what I had envisioned. While I understand that maintenance and unforeseen circumstances can lead to temporary closures, it would have been helpful to have this information communicated upfront. Clear communication about the availability of attractions could have allowed visitors to make informed decisions before planning their visit.

One of the must visit place in Kolkata. It is the largest science centre in the Indian subcontinent. This is a highly modernistic complex with lots to see and do. The entrance gate brings you into a well-tended garden with pools and animated sculptures driven by water. A cable-car ride takes visitors over the whole complex. You can visit the space and technology building, it is very informative and well put together all things. A great combination of science and nature.

Science City is an incredible destination for everyone, offering a wide range of rides, a mesmerizing 3D show, and captivating presentations of scientific machines. The entry fee is only 65/- per person, or you can opt for the package at 300/- While the food prices may be slightly higher throughout the venue, the Chinese Combo at the food court is highly recommended, priced at 230/- per plate. Overall, it's an ideal place to spend quality time with your family or loved ones, and the experience is truly delightful. 🥰❤️🥰 Science City is renowned for its ability to uncover fascinating scientific facts and mysteries. It is the perfect destination for those with a curious mind. Additionally, it offers an excellent opportunity to engage your children and enjoy quality time with family and friends while having fun together. At Science City, you can enjoy thrilling rides, witness the captivating Panorama Show on Human Evolution, and explore various scientific experiments. The entire place is beautifully maintained, providing a serene environment for relaxation.

Science City, Kolkata is situated in the East Topsia area. It has a science park, auditorium and a science museum. On entering you may buy an entry ticket ( Rs. 65/- per person). You may add tickets for the auditorium events and rides. The entrance is beautifully decorated with natural flowers in plots. You feel welcome. There are many working exhibits labelled with related information and scientific explanations. You need to take out some time to read patiently and then have a look at the working. I saw people using the exhibits as play thing. In that case it's better to go to a park. There is Marine museum too. There are guided tour too but they have slots and you need to gather at the main hall entrance for the guided tour. I did not do that as I was having limited time. They were allowing private vehicles to be parked inside. Taxis were not allowed to be parked inside. Very nice science park that will give food to your Brian. Must visit for kids.

A very nice place for science enthusiasts. There are a lot of science models to explore and you will learn a lot of things. Tickets can be purchased online also. Entry ticket is Rs 65. There are several rides also. Dark ride is the evolution of life. Time machine is a fun ride. The best of all is the 3d show 'Voyager'. You will feel like you are exploring the space and different planets. This is an award winning movie and a must watch. The ticket is worth Rs 100. I didn't like the underwater 3d show. Car & Bike Parking is available inside.

Science City of Kolkata is the largest science centre in the Indian subcontinent. This centre was inaugurated by two parts: the ‘Convention Centre Complex’ was unveiled on 21 December 1996. This is a highly modernistic complex with lots to see and do. The entrance gate brings you into a well-tended garden with pools and animated sculptures driven by water. A cable-car ride takes visitors over the whole complex. One of the buildings, dealing with life sciences, was not open, but in the time we had we got to see plenty. We visited the space and technology building and found the displays extremely informative and well put together. The demonstrations of physics and mechanics using hands-on installations were a lot of fun, and informative too. One great surprise was an up-to-the-day exhibition of the Corona virus, which in mid-February was only just revealing its potential as a pandemic. There were two staff posted at the display to answer questions. This exhibit alone indicated to us the devotion and interest of the museum staff. The upper part of the building was laid out in a descending spiral where the exhibits were based on powers of 10 - magnifying upwards to the entire universe and downwards to the sub-atomic world. We can highly recommend Science City and hope that the building we couldn't visit will soon be open.

My visit to Science City in Kolkata was nothing short of awe-inspiring. From captivating exhibits to interactive displays, the facility seamlessly blended education with entertainment. The sheer diversity of scientific wonders left me fascinated and engaged throughout my exploration. The Evolution Park was a journey through time, bringing the evolution of life to life with detailed exhibits and lifelike models. The Space Odyssey section ignited my curiosity about the cosmos, offering a thrilling cosmic experience. The 3D vision theater added an immersive touch, making every scientific concept come alive. The staff's enthusiasm and knowledge were commendable, enhancing my overall experience. Science City in Kolkata is a stellar destination for anyone seeking a blend of fun and learning. It's a testament to the wonders of science and an ideal outing for families, students, and science enthusiasts alike.

This is a very good place to visit with family and friends or even solo visits. The place is kid friendly and a must visit for science geeks. The place has different buildings with innovative science experiments and models displayed around. They also run shows on the solar system, human evolution and other things. The shows have fixed timings and they require separate tickets. The place also has gardens around where people can sit and enjoy nature.

A superb place which is one of the most sought after by family and especially because kids have a gala time here. There is experiential amusement and learning for all ages. There are various rides and do-it activities related to science and technology along with data, computers and artificial intelligence activities. Various shows such as space theatre, 3d etc are amazing sources of learning and enjoyment. The time machine ride is the biggest attraction and is greatly exciting and electrifying. This place also has great greenery and parks where the entire group can have a picnic kind of an activity. In the evening the musical foundation is the most appealing about science city. Must visit for all ...

If you are planning to visit this place, Do go. For all the visitors who are coming from near and far. If you are looking for an open space with lots of greenery, this is the place. Most of the exhibitions are free. There are few which needs tickets. But they are not expensive, so anybody can afford them. If you want to teach your kids about the prehistoric era. You need to visit that particular exhibition. Which shook is the dinosaurs and ice age. For someone who's looking for having food inside, you can bring your own food or if you don't want to carry it. There's so many stalls where you can find some nice. Not the delicious one but they are good enough to have. Transport is rightly available, so anybody wants to travel from and to can easily catch a bus or cab. Overall, it has been a good experience for us. I hope this review helps the next person who's reading and wants to travel to this particular place

This is a perfect place for a grown up kids who has some interest in science. They have divided it in few segments. 1) Earth exploration hall 2) Space Odyssey (Time machine and 3D digital is a must visit) 3) Dynamotion hall (7 science experiments in sequence) 4) Science Exploration hall (Evaluation of life and Digital panorama is a must) Apart from these you can njoy cable car, Science on sphere, outdoor park and toy train. Food is available inside with a nominal price. Note: 3D glass not available due to COVID so I will not suggest it as you will not get that experience

There should be proper tour guide i mean anybody who is new to this will be lost and ticket time will be lapsed and you cannot do anything about that. Hardly any official will try to guide you at counter. Rest the entire visit is very rich in information and good infrastructure. Good for all age category. If you want proper tour then it would require 1 entire day. Carry water bottle as inside you would local bottles which are not in good condition.

The Science City of Kolkata is the largest science centre in the Indian subcontinent. This is place is really awesome and I'm very happy whenever I visit here.Excellent exhibition of scientific items.specially Time machine and Reflections.. both are really superb. Area is neatly managed by the authorities.. Rope car is also one of the important attraction. 3D shows are also amazing.. Everybody should visit this place. Parking facility also good and systematic. It is safe and secure place. Open 7 days in a week, normally 9am to 7pm. There is a combo offer in ticket that includes entry fee, panorama show, 3D shows and 2D show. This saves lots of time from standing in a queue for watching different shows and others.Great place with mesmerizing surroundings. Especially the background with the Atmosphere rising. I really recommend to visit this place when u come kolkata.

It's good for the students who are interested in Science... The entry Ticket is 65 ₹per head... Apart from that if u want to see something inside the Science City like Human evolution, Dark Ride, Space related things, 3D show etc All these will be chargeable separately. Important Things to be noted is that the Dinosaur House is getting renovated so it is closed now.. Another thing is that Do not go to see the Human evolution Show which is charged at ₹60 per head... Which I personally think is a waste of money.. Only they will show u a 15 min show on a big screen about how an Ape became a human which is all available in National Geographic Channel for Free.. My money was wasted.. So it's a warning from me to everyone not to visit this pathetic show....

International Mega Trade Fair at Science City was an amazing blend of both Indian and international flavours. It had great collection of items from stalls like Afghanistan, Iran, Dubai, Thailand and at the same time different states of India represented the culture and their individuality. The food zone was not that good, it lacked variety, it was purely veg items and the price was too high

I recently visited Kolkata Science City with my niece and nephew, and it was an amazing experience. The exhibits were very informative and interactive, and we had a lot of fun exploring the different galleries. My niece and nephew were fascinated by the hands-on exhibits, and they enjoyed experimenting with different scientific concepts. They particularly loved the 3D show at the planetarium, which was both educational and entertaining. The outdoor science park was also a hit with the kids. They enjoyed playing around with the different exhibits and learning about the laws of physics and other scientific principles. We also watched the musical fountain show, which was a beautiful spectacle of lights and water. Overall, our visit to Kolkata Science City was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kolkata with children. It is a great way to introduce kids to the wonders of science and technology in a fun and interactive way.

Oh, this is a very nice place, especially for kids. All those basic science you read on 7th standard (or even at higher standards) can be seen practically here. The park is well maintained and clean. You might see some crowd here during holidays so plan your visit accordingly. You'll also need some couple of hours to completely visit the place, I had 1.5hrs and barely saw small section here. Each place has detailed explanation on how things work, so you end up spending time reading, seeing it practically and understanding.

Don't expect much from the name. Science City is developed by the National Council of Science Museums, it is one of the largest and finest in the world, the maintenance and cleanliness were properly maintained. A bit costly for the budget friendly people , if you want either to go on spending then my suggestions will be the time machine , dark ride. Don't waste your money on the Rope way you will not even get time to experience it. Stay happy and come with your group and family.

Great place to learn about science for children. It was an awesome place a few years back. They are trying to add additional tickets for all attractions now.. become more money minded than a place to learn. The garden in the centre with the free demonstrations are not maintained properly because it's free.. Once a glorious place, now just business.

Back to my childhood days. As the name suggests science everywhere. Doesn't matter if you a science enthusiast or not, do visit. You can find science park filled with rather simple but mind blowing physics. Do watch the science gallery, shows, have a ride in the time machine and have loads of fun. A great place to explore. A must to visit.

The place was easy to locate but the navigation was a bit buggy, you need to take the service road instead of using the flyover (you’ll have to come all the way back in case the flyover is taken). This is a famous tourist spot and is definitely worth a visit. There are live exhibits for scientific phenomena, along with a lot of trivia. There is a rope way that can take you from one end of the place to the other, and it’s recommended to take it after visiting the other exhibits. I didn’t attend any of the live shows they conduct regularly, so can’t comment on them. There is ample space available for parking. Maintenance of the exhibits and surroundings are decent. Overall, this place is worth a one-time visit, and a must for kids.

Largest science museum in Asia and it really is when you witness hundreds of science games and activities around you.It isn't very easy to cover each one of the activities in single day and might need 2-3 days to explore this place completely.Basic entry ticket is Rs.65 but additional activities tickets needs to be purchased separately either at the starting or at the spot directly if available. It will cost atleast 300-400 per person if one wants to cover all the activities.Space Theatre and Dark ride are 2 of the best shows. The whole area is a bit of mess with large number of people specially at weekends and finding the show is a task in itself.Proper signboards and exact markings should be there to ensure one can find the shows easily. Also the shows are offered in only 2 languages Hindi and Bengali,English is missing. Many eatery places are available in the entire area.

Visited on Valentine's day and we had a great time. The grounds are clean and well maintained and there is a entire day's worth of places to visit. Especially enjoyed the Dark Ride which had a history of the entire world as well as the Historial movie about Human evolution. Food was filing as well though the food court could have been cleaner. Lastly be prepared to pay upwards of 500 rupees if you want to visit all the places. Still definitely a must visit for the family.

A very fine place for science loving students as they have a very big gallery and also some rides like Time Machine , Space theatre and many more . Also they have a museum in which latest science related collection are kept. For non science lovers it's like a garden or a picnic spot there is a Road train and also puppet show is organised in the evening . So overall the experience was amazing and I would like to say that for students who are in class 12 or lower grades it is a very amusing place and should be visited , as you would definitely enjoy it .

It's an amazing place to visit, and somewhere one would enjoy their time together. It's a good place to bring kids, but all the science stuff is also pretty interesting for adults. There is an auditorium as well. There's a ropeway, which is pretty awesome. A few cafetarias are also scattered here and there. A good family picnic destination.

Most suitable place for young science enthusiasts. Simple science experiments with light, air and water were exhibited technically and can be operated by us. Touch tables and other theatres explaining vast science concepts and life achievements of various scientists were also installed at low affordable costs. The rope way Ride can be improved and various other rides are kept under maintenance.

Oh what a lovely place this is, especially for the kids. This is a 3D theatre and the screen is so good, you have to literally move your head from left to right. They provide good quality 3D glasses. The seats too are very nice and plush. Cleanliness is top notch. Cost per show per seat is ₹120. Every 2 hours they show different movies.

Science City Kolkata is an amazing place to visit if you're curious about science and want to have a fun learning experience. I recently had the chance to explore this place, and I must say, it left me impressed. One of the coolest things about Science City is that it's like a big playground for science enthusiasts of all ages. There are so many interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that make learning about science super fun. From the moment you enter, you can see the giant globe, which is like our Earth, and it's fascinating to learn about the planet we live on. One of my favorite sections was the Space Odyssey, where you can learn about the mysteries of space, see models of rockets and satellites, and even experience a simulated space journey. It felt like I was an astronaut exploring the universe! There's also a thrilling Evolution Park, where you can see life-sized models of dinosaurs and learn about the history of life on Earth. It's not only educational but also quite thrilling to stand next to a T-Rex! For those who love technology, the Science Exploration Hall is a must-visit. You can experiment with various gadgets and learn how they work. It's like being in a futuristic science lab. If you're into the natural world, don't miss the Butterfly Enclave and the Tropical Rainforest. You can see beautiful butterflies up close and even watch them hatch from their cocoons. Another highlight is the 3D Science Show, which is like watching a movie in 3D but with a science twist. It's a great way to understand complex concepts in a fun way. Overall, Science City Kolkata is a fantastic place to visit if you want to learn about science while having a great time. It's not just for kids – adults can enjoy it just as much. Plus, the staff is friendly and always ready to answer your questions. So, if you're ever in Kolkata, make sure to spend a day at Science City – it's a blast!

From interactive displays on physics to the Evolution Park, the variety of attractions ensures a well-rounded learning experience. The Dynamotion Hall with its 3D simulator is a standout feature. While some exhibits could benefit from updates, overall, Science City provides an enjoyable and educational outing.

This place is absolutely amazing, pls do visit the space theater, as this is the best thing one can find there. This is an amusement park dedicated to science. Good place to visit with family and friends for a complete day. A combo ticket would cost around Rs 500 per person, that is complete value for money. If you have a day to spend with some fun do visit this place. Also, try to reach there as early as you can, because there are lots and lots of things and activities to cover, that will be sufficient to consume one's whole day easily.

A unique kind of amusement park that combines science with entertainment, the Science City was founded in 1997 by the National Council of Science Museums. Known for its vast expanse of open spaces where one can wander and wonder about the workings of the world, the place hosts several attractions, foremost of which is the ‘Evolution of Life – Dark Ride’. Divided into seven sections and featuring over 50 robotic, mostly-accurate prehistoric creatures, the viewers are given an insight into the rich natural history of the world. This attraction, along with others showing the development of human beings and their anthropological foray into civilization, serve to depict the process in which the world shaped our cultures and vice-versa. Other attractions include the space theatre, where several documentaries are shown in a huge dome; the 3D theatre, where said documentaries seem to pop out of the screen in a three dimensional format; the naval centre, where viewers come to learn about the history of ships; the centre for science, where we come to learn about all the different facets of physics which make our lives interesting and the room of mirrors. In fewer words, the Kolkata Science City can be said to appeal to hard-core practitioners of science, science enthusiasts in the habit of bragging to their friends as well as curious minds eager to have a day out.

In a Science Park, people come closer to plants, animals and other objects in their natural surroundings and also learn about the basic principles of science in an open air learning environment. The park interactive exhibits are engineered so as to tolerate all the weather. Science Park has become the integral part in all the centres of NCSM. It comprises Caterpillar Ride, Gravity Coaster, Musical Fountain, Road Train, Cable Cars, Monorail Cycle, butterfly nursery and several exhibits on physical and life sciences and a maze set up in a lush green ambience. there are many people came in different states.

One of a kind place in India. I visited this place in the 90's and it was mesmerizing with all the science games and experiments along with panaromic hall for space and human evolution shows. But visited on Oct 21, and it has lost it charm. Most of the experiments in the science section don't work. Basically maintenance is not done properly. Few shows are running like Australian Wild and Human Evolution which is nice. But need a huge revamp to get back it's former glory. You can try out the cable car when you visit.

Superb place to spend time and learn some basic science which you ignored in school. They have museum, space odessy, and many other educational/documentary rides which are entertaining as well, and a gallery of aqauriums. Prices for everything ranges from 30-120, and its worth so. Outside garden area and buildings are quite photogenic, gives you nice backgrounds for your snaps. Best time to visit is around lunch, it might take fews hours to cover everything. Overall price range for one may vary around 200-400 depending on the number of items attended, although minimum entry is 90.

For lovers of science this is an amazing place. Beautiful buildings architecture. Must watch is 3D space theatre show (Voyager) & Time machine ride. The dark ride inside dinosaur world is also good. If time is less, may miss science on a sphere. Can avoid newly opened underwater world show which is below average 3D ocean life show. The ticket entry price is Rs. 65 per person. For other shows and rides it is between Rs. 30- 50 per person. Space 3D show Voyager is Rs.100 per person but it's a must watch. Ticket can be purchased at the entry in bundled approx. 200/300 per person for most of the shows. Otherwise, tickets for all the shows are also available separately for each ride in inside ticket counters.

We went there expecting nothing but a bunch of gimmicks to induce the passion for science in kids. But we ourselves thought it wasn't that alone. Spanned across quite a large area, it has different attractions. When we reached there, the first thing we wanted to try is the rope way. One can see the whole of science city from it. The view is very nice. Once we entered into the main building, we decided to see the science on a sphere show, which was also good. The lady who presented it did her job well. Next we roamed around and saw some of the science 'things' around which it was 7PM and it was closure time. Visit the place if you are interested in science and related things. Ticket prices were 60Rs for entry into the park, 60Rs for the rope way ride, 40Rs for the science on a sphere show, 50rs for parking.

Nice place to visit in winter. Lovable for basic science enthusiasts. But due to lack of maintenance many scientific instruments & mechanisms are not working and also no introduction of new scientific mechanisms to display. The place is as same as it was 10 years before. Centre of attraction: Space Theatre.

It has a wide range of fact revealing media which includes dark ride a ride for all ages through a tunnel filled with robotic prehistoric animals, panorama of evolution, museum. It also includes some fun optical illusions using mirrors in mazes, Kaleidoscope, and deformed reflections. It has many rides for children like seesaw, and swings and a ropeway for all ages.

The Science City is a perfect blend of education with fun. There is a special section dedicated to the aquatic world wherein you can learn detail about the various fishes and insects in the aquatic world. Some of the most exotic fishes can be seen in these aquariums.

Older exhibits gathering dust. Though there are several good exhibits lack of maintenance shows. People will enjoy the Dark ride and the flight simulation in the space center. Many food stalls inside are closed due to Covid restrictions at the time of writing this review (30 December 2020) so check before entering or carry your own food.

Science city is one of the prominent place to visit in Kolkata. Situated at the crossing of EM bypass and JBS haldane avenue this was established in the year 1997 for the growth of science and technology and their application in industry, human welfare and environment. Some of the main attractions are Dark ride, space theatre, time machine, road ride, butterfly enclave, rope way, aquarium etc.

Wonderful place for people of any age. The scientific illustrations were the best part. Simple sciences explained very nicely. Prices are also reasonable. Overall a nice place for a family day out.

  • 3/5 Subhankar B. 3 years ago on Google
Went to the Science City, Kolkata after more than 2 decades. As always, liked the Space theater. Time machine was okay but, didn't feel the show was very enthralling. Liked the huge open space and variety of Science exhibits for all ages. Unfortunately, found lot of exhibits were not functioning properly or damaged due to mishandling. Found lot of people just roaming around and mishandling these without understanding the Science behind them. That's quite disappointing and annoying. The other place of attraction, especially, for children was the section with robotic dinosaurs. That place was under renovation and was not open. But, overall a good place for a day out with family.

Great place to enjoy with family and friends.. (only once)... Childrens will find it very interesting and will be able to know the science with activities and games.... Well maintained and developed but some part of it is closed due to some reason and they should at least give some prior notice (at least in their official websites) as the visitors expects to enjoy the full Science City.. The cost of the rides are bit high but they are worth the money.... (my advise is to enjoy the Time Machine/Motion Simulator and Dark Ride and the Space Theater.... others rides are not bad but they are more informative than entertaining... The cafeteria inside the Science City is not recommended as they has very high price and the food quality is neither good .... even the small shops/food counters are not recommended either.... Their foods are not of good quality neither are fresh.... It is better to either bring food from home or have lunch outside but not in science city.....

I have been visiting Science City since i was young. This time i took my child their they loved it. Especially the mirror house. The the amount of knowledge you will gain their it is very good for one.

Science City has many things that a child can practically learn ... like about dinosaurs, about stars (planetarium), gravity motion rails, magic mirrors, maze hedges, space simulators, educational movies, fun rides and much more. All basic amenities are present. The only down side were the unattended stray dogs and quite a few broken exhibits (which could have been easily maintained).

  • 4/5 Shweta D. 3 years ago on Google
Amazing place no doubts. A lot of things to see related to science including all of biology chemistry and physics. A lot of things to learn . Also the view from the garden is mesmerizing. Beautifully decorated and a lot of things to learn. You can also see the ITC Royale and JW Marriott from there. Also there are more. So enjoy. 😌💙

Science City consists of variuos collections of scientific elements and strategies; such as, the space research, aqua life, mirror hallway etc. In Science City people can experience a cable car ride and take a walk around the park like garden. This place is very much important for the children and school goers. Because they could learn manything in practical in this place.

Well maintained place by ministry of culture and nice place to visit especially for students. Human evolution and panorama is very cool. Best thing was the motion simulator(Time Machine) and also least costly ticket i.e. 30₹ only.

Food is allowed to be carried in Science City. The Price of food and drinks is Very high in the park. But You can Learn a Lot from there. Time machine was best.

  • 5/5 Samrat M. 2 years ago on Google
Science City is one of the places to visit Kolkata with your family. Very pleasant and peaceful environment. There is a lot to know, a lot to see, if you want to gain knowledge in real sense, you have to go around with time,we all ride on the roop way and from there the view of Kolkata is amazing. But the problem is there is nothing but Chinese food, West Indian food. The prices are too high and the quality is too bad..

Great place to visit if you are interested in exploring the fun side of science by performing the experiments. Has a big labyrinthic garden with the structures, a ropeway, toy train rides, satellite models, motion simulator, infinite well, mirror maze, and lots more. Entry fee is just Rs 60 per person, discounts for group available.

  • 5/5 priya s. 2 years ago on Google
Science City is amusing, no matter what age group you come from. It takes you back to your text book days, still verifies a lot of physics and math queries that we always have ;) The dark ride, time machine, Red planet, evolution of humans- everything is worth seeing. You can even get a good glimpse of the city on the rope way. A must visit on your tour to Kolkata or if you are idol on a weekend...

  • 2/5 aditya 2 years ago on Google
Honestly I was disappointed with this place. 60 Rs entry fee just to sit in the garden? Yes, You read this right!!! Every good thing at this place requires a separate ticket. And we have to purchase all of these tickets separately. Why do you charge an entry fee? Just to sit in the garden and have a coffee? Like seriously????!!! This is height of capitalism.

An excellent place to spend the day. Especially with kids. There are numerous options to explore scientific knowledge like Oceans and Marine Life, Space, Animal kingdom, Physics, Botany, Chemical Reactions, Fun experiments. Rides like ropeway, road train, dark ride to explore evolution and space exploration are also available. No need to buy all tickets at the entrance as there are counters for all exhibitions inside too. There's a musical fountain and a lot of food and drink options. Car parking is available for 60 rupees.

One needs almost the whole day to explore this place. All kinds of people can enjoy here, whether it's kids, teenagers, or adults. The people who are interested in science enjoyed it very much. Ropeway entry is nice. 3d theater, time machine , evolution, science museum all this are very enjoyable. Food and drinks stall are available there, though a little bit higher in price. Winter or pre winter is best time to visit.

It is an incredible destination for science enthusiasts of all ages. During my recent visit, I was truly impressed by the interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that made science engaging and accessible. The Planetarium shows were particularly captivating, taking me on a mesmerizing journey through the cosmos.

Nice place for all ages to visit. Entry fee is 65 per person. You can also buy combo tickets for ropeway and entry. Also combo tickets are available for shows inside. For children below 1mt height no ticket is required for entry. Abundant parking space for cars and bikes. For cars its 60. The park is huge and it would take a whole day to explore all the places. There are fast food counters available inside. The dinosaur section was closed for repairs when i visited. The rest of the place was nice,

Its a Science Museum in Kolkata.perfect place for hangout with friends, family, kids.you can easily spend time here, the day i went there it was opened at 9:00 am. I liked their 3D theater-great wall of china. Best Experience must watch

  • 5/5 Twinkle 4 months ago on Google
As the name suggests it's a science museum that is not only for children but also for adults. Visited the place with my family in the afternoon so didn't have much time to see all the shows. We bought the entry tickets then went inside, it was a huge place with greenery all around. We also bought tickets for the time machine and the 3D underwater show.We sat in the time machine and the driver gave us a ride to the Great Wall of China (3D) Of course you'll experience ups and downs and jerks making it a real ride as you go through the journey don't forget to scream during the ride. Then we saw the 3D show, it was an infotainment show about the underwater ecosystem and the audio was in English I translated some facts to my family members that I found interesting. Apart from the shows you will see numerous other things inside the hall like the solar system, all sorts of reflecting mirrors, the maze (Tip: If you can't find your way out just look at the ground and not at the mirrors),replica of chandrayaan-3 and lots more. I was lucky enough to witness the full moon setting in and the water fountain show during the evening was just magical. All in all you'll have a fun experience.
