Good place for picnic. Earlier it was open to all, to roam, drink, use of loudspeaker etc. Now it has been maintained by District Administration. Parking place is demarcated & fee is introduced. Drinking water is available throughout the garden. Toilets are clean. Use of loudspeaker inside the garden is not allowed now. Still, there are lot of scope to improve the place to make it a really good picnic spot like introduction of amusement gadgets, amenities for modern life etc.

Atmosphere of the park is not bad.. It is basically famous for deer.. But the number of deer is in a decreasing state... If u walk from the main gate in the opposite direction.. U will be able to see the confluence of Damodar and Ganga.. Which is just amazing views.. Mesmerizing..

It is also known as Garchumuk. This is a famous picnic spot in Howrah and Kolkata area. It is near about 1 hr. away from Howrah Station by Train. Uluberia is the nearest station. From Uluberia Station auto os available to visit the spot. The picnic spot is just after the 58 gate dam. The Children park is under Howrah Zila Parishad. The park is very much good and well maintained. There are some rooms and cottages there for stay at night. The rooms and cottages can only be booked from Howrah zila parishad office in Advance. Room tariff is cheap and the rooms and cottages are clean and well maintained. There is a mini zoo inside the park. There are some animals and birds are there like peacock, crocodiles, monkeys, snakes etc. The children will be happy to visit there.
