One of the better eatery in Behala, Kolkata. The food quality I should say is healthy. It May not tingle your taste buds bt I vouch for your happy stomach after the meal. The interior is small, yet cosy just loke a budget restaurant. But the aste of the food is not at all like a budget restaurant! The taste is great! They are specialized in chinese, however Moughlai cuisine here is also in a high demand. Last but not the least is the pocket pinch. It is also highly reasonable! If you want to have a quality food to fill up your stomach yet pocket friendly, then Ashoka Restaurant is for you the place to be in and around Behala.

One of the oldest restaurants in Behala. 20 sitting capacity, good quality and quantity ✅ food in good price. They offer mughlai, tandoori, Chinese,and bengali food. But they do not have any mocktails. They also have a roll option. Recently they renovated the interior . Food quality is really good and quantity also till now 17th july 2023.

This is an old restaurant famous for its Mughlai Paratha and Mutton cutlet. In keeping with modern demand Chinese cuisine has also been added to their menu. I have consumed only M Paratha and M cutlet . Both dishes are excellent and all food lovers must try at least once. Mughlai Paratha , served with potato sabji and salad, is superb . The authorities have retained their traditional taste in modern times and kudos to them.

Quality of biriyani is very good.

Quality is still good. Used to visit this restaurant during my childhood days with my father. Though the ownership has changed but they have maintained their quality unlike other old restaurants in this locality.

Food is good. Don't think of ambience. Take away the great food. Or just sit and eat. But not a posh looking cafe or dine out

I visited here on Mother's day with my Mom. We ordered mixed rice with Schezwan fish and prawn balls. First two items were pretty good and quantity was great. But prawn ball was not good. I could not find any prawn inside, it was veg balls. I complained the waiter also, but he said that they are prawn balls. Previously also I have eaten here, it is good. But this time this prawn ball disappointed me. Overall food taste and quantity here is good.

It is quite good , food quality as well as the behaviour of the stuffs is really so good...quite cheap too...For two people , it will be enough to fill stomach by spending around 300-400 rupees 🎉

Absolutely worst.... I liked the Moghlai paratha though... The worst thing is the man there tried to overcharge for a bottle of water which we brought with us. He said even if you have bought it from outside you will have to pay the tax for that.... Quite appalled by his logic... Could have easily given him some case laws regarding such illegality. It was not the amount but he lied for that money, which is appalling...refused the extra amount n only gave money for the food. Disgusting.

Visiting this restaurant for past 50 years. For me one of the oldest and nostalgic restaurant in Behala. They have maintained quality in there core area like Moghlai porota and fish fry but to my surprise size of the item reduced to 3/4th with increased price. Too much diversification nowadays like opening of Chinees section and home delivery affecting service to those who are dining in the restaurant.

Food quality is excellent but the restaurant is a little bit small and this restaurant is best for those who want to get best quality food whithin their budget.

Located bang opposite the Ashoka movie theatre, this place serves some most delectable fry items. Fish fry, fish batter fry, kobiraji ar the signature items.Moghlai paratha is good too. The place is somehow more popular as a takeaway joint rather than a dine in place. The jnteriors of the restaurant has recently been done up, in January '23 to be precise, hence the interiors are looking much brighter now

Yesterday, I purchased Mixed Fried Rice and Chilli Fish from Ashoka Restaurant. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be stale and unpleasant. I also discovered that they had used rotten shrimp in the rice, which made it taste terrible. Moreover, instead of Bhetki Fish, they used Basa fish, which was disappointing. Additionally, the quantity of gravy was insufficient. Overall, my experience was very unsatisfactory, and I will not be purchasing from this restaurant again. I also do not recommend it to anyone. I wasted my money.Unfortunately, the new year started with such a disappointment.
