I have made an order today at 12:08 p.m. then they have confirmed to deliver the same by 2 p.m. When we were trying to contact them the number was coming switch off, after that we contacted via online, the they have shared another number and we called the delivery boy, he confirmed about the order & said he is having a problem with his car but surely will deliver the order by 3:35 p.m. ultimately no one picked the call at 3:40 p.m. & no food delivered to me. We had suddenly dropped in during one rainy evening time to this place. The very first greeting smile of the ladies shall make you very homely. Although the place is best for takeaway but sit and dine option is also available. We ordered bhog ee khichri, beguni, papd, labra and chutney. Everything tasted really good and home style. Very clean presentation and the place os having open kitchen so they have made it to keep the place very clean and tidy. Overall good experience and must try for vegetarians. Theres a cute labrador who also tries his bit to make the customer feel at ease.

I ordered for bhoger khichuri along with aloo dum,payesh and papad but as I couldn't eat aloo today..the owner was very kind enough to give me more payesh.I am very thankful for the gesture to the kind lady owner but once i rated the food for not being good as it was not khichri and it was kind of masala bhaat.She got annoyed and messaged me stating that it would have been better if she dint take my request of switching aloo dum with extra payesh.. Firstly learn how to pack food properly in proper containers as we are not taking YOUR FOOD ITEMS ARE BEING PAID FOR BY CONSUMERS.Secondly just bcos u did the switching of items I AM SUPPOSE TO RATE U GOOD FOR THE FOOD THAT WAS NOT GOOD REALLY? I ordered one Vegetable Masala khichri (Price Rs. 210) from Zomato on 20.12.20 at 12.21 PM. I wanted peppy, hot khichri with full of cauliflower, beans, peas, carrots, potatoes with good quantity of masalas, dal and chillies. Instead, I got a sourly sweet khichri rich in tomatoes but no cauliflower or seasonal vegetables and the quantity was much less to appease the appetite of an adult person. The price of the item is Rs. 210 but I got less quantity of khichri in an aluminium foiled container/box. In the picture it showed that khichri was served in an earther pot/haari. But I got the kichuri in a cheap aluminium foil container with no name written on it.

Behaviour isn't good at all. Actually we want to have lunch or nasta at these places but you expect a gentle behaviour also. They have no manners how to talk to people and also don't respect the food at which they doing business. They serve food as you a beggar and you have asked them sympathy. Please think before where you are going to have your food...

Quantity as per price is very bad. Test is also very bad. They served plain boiled rice with dal with some jeera and Curry leaves and calling it khichdi. Very bad experience. Never had such bad khicdi in my life. They send some 'payes' which is just disgusting... I also had khichdi in sec-v from a road side shop and that was too good... Very disappointing.

My Swiggy delivery partner arrived at 1:30 pm and was waiting at the location till 2.30pm as per the app. After speaking with Swiggy, they had no other option but to cancel as the delivery partner was told 10 more minutes, the same response given 4 times before. Such a bad and unprofessional response from this restaurant. They should have declined initially if they can't fulfill an order, but that will look poorly in their delivery rate with Swiggy, so I am sharing my experience and review against them here. Their food might be of good quality, just like many other top restaurants in Kolkata, but delivery experience sets them apart as a 1* restaurant.

I ordered Bhoger Khichdi through Swiggy. Swiggy charged ₹159 delivery charges as distance is 13.6 km. To be very honest, Bhoger Khichdi was not upto the mark. They made with ordinary rice and moong dal instead of Govinda bhog rice and Sona Moong dal. I am completely dissatisfied😒.

Tried the Himachali khichdi and Bhoger Khichuri, along with labra, alu bhaja, chutney. All items were awesome and portions were ample. Found the staff very well behaved and courteous. We had reached the place not knowing that it is take away only. The staff however made us feel welcome and served us in their office.
