The hotel staff, especially the restaurant staff is pretty rude. They charge for a little spill of tea on the bed-sheet and ask for extravagant charges to be paid as fine for it by quoting it as damage charges done to the bedsheet apparently. Food is obnoxiously overpriced and the ACs in room as well as the restaurant are not properly serviced, hence one has to endure the blaring summer heat due to the hotel’s inability to properly maintain it’s premises. Highly recommend people not to visit this place as it is a waste of time and money, there are way too many better resorts than this one in West Bengal.

Amazing experience. We went here for a day out they take 1050 per head in day out and in that they give morning snacks, buffet lunch and evening snacks too. There is big pool and many activities you will surely enjoy with your friends or family. Amazing I just loved it. Big lawn and many sports activities can be performed there you can book a room and stay there lovely resort surely visit here if you are looking to chill out in resort with family or friends. We visited country roads with friends for a day out from the boring city life and we are so glad we chose this place. The resort is amazingly spacious, well maintained, clean and luxurious. The swimming pool was clean and huge. The food served was of great quality and affordable at the same time. The lawns are really well kept and out overall experience of visiting the place was great.

The place has been done up quite well. Large space. Bungalows of different sizes and shapes. Some have beautiful, well maintained lawns. Probably they are the ones where owners reside. Overall it is a pleasant place to go for a picnic, use the club lawn, sit in the sun and chat over a drink. We were a large group of 50+ people, one of whom owns a bungalow there, on a day long trip. Late breakfast and lunch were decent. Staff is helpful and courteous.

A must go for a rejuvenation nearby and hang out with friends and family.I had a wonderful experience at the resort. This place is very good for parties and if you are visiting this place to relax then you should think twice. Parties are filled with DJ sounds and You can't get sleep until 10 PM. Complementary breakfast is available. Dinner food feels costly

A beautiful resort in Panchla. It has 2 large grounds where one can play any game from cricket, football to badminton. There is a slide and swing as well for kids. A well maintained swimming pool to enjoy. The rooms are decent. This is an ideal place for conducting events. However the only con is service. That is a big poor and food service is very slow. Also food is not always delicious.

Honestly, the only thing great about this resort was the pool. It was super clean and I really enjoyed it. But the resort lacks some basic stuffs such a driver dormitory (since most people travel there by car and with a driver), and a proper service. They did not have a lot of items on the menu. The service is extremely slow. I ordered lunch way before the lunchtime, yet we got it served way past lunch time. The rooms were nice though, although the bathrooms are a bit smelly. Even with room freshners, the smell persists. The tap in my bathroom was faulty. The ottoman in the room was really dusty and heavily stained. And about the location of the resort, I'll be very honest. There's nothing much to see around. There's no such tourist spots nearby. The nearest tourist spot that I found was around 11 kms away, inside a village. That's all I have to say. Have a nice day y'all!

While bookings large party please ensure all the details are known. For instance be very specific with the quantity and quality of food. I happen to attend a party and many did not get food. A deliberate attempt was made to create shortage. They will give you plate but food will not be available. They will either say its will soon be replenished, which doesnt happen so quick. In the process guest will either lose interest and forgo the dish. Ensure full details are discussed...like no plates will be counted if any dish is missing. Book responsibly. Good luck.

Came here as a part of a professional team outing. And really enjoyed the surroundings. There is swimming pool, two decent sized grounds where you can play cricket, football, badminton, or just any other game. There’s also carrom and some cool space to hang around. Facilities are also well maintained. It has a bar with a decent ambience. Overall, a great all-round experience.

The property is not maintained properly. There was no wifi available. TV was also not working properly and losing signals . Breakfast options are very very basic and limited and the seating arrangements are not adequate. Pool dnt have any lights so you need to finish your swimming till the dawn. There's lots of mosquitoes so be aware. Overall not a perfect property at so high price

The breakfast was pathetic. They gave bananas which were rotten. They served papayas which had house flies all over. The sambhar was cold. They had limited option for eggs also. They charge so much money claiming breakfast is complimentary but at the same time does not state it is awful. The restaurant also has a number of flies flying around but the authority is reluctant. They do not provide room slippers and moisturiser in room.

The only good thing about this resort is their spacious rooms. Nothing else. The staff behaviour here is horrible. Most of them lack basic manners. The food menu is also extremely pricey. Most of their food costs 500 or above. We ordered a soup that smelled like urine. The fried rice was also very bad in taste. The service is slow. The bathroom taps and showers were faulty. The thing that disheartened us the most was, the staff behaviour. Seemed like they don't even want to work. Never ever visiting this place again. Very disappointed.

Spend a tiny holiday in this peaceful resort located at Panchla, rural howrah just after crossing Dhulagarh Toll on NH 6. The location is easily accessible from any part of Kolkata ! Rooms are quite spacious along with the washroom & equip with all modern amenities. We pre booked a room with a pool view on the 2nd floor & the view from the room is really very captivating. Room service was quite prompt & all staff were humble & cordial ! Their behaviour & attitude is something which I very much liked & appreciated. Food is tasty, sometimes looks overpriced, but remember when you are in a captive location, ordering from inside of your room & want same to be served at poolside while you swim - the high cost eventually becomes justified. However, I have nothing to complain about this place, please go there with your family to enjoy the weekends or just spend quality time with your loved ones for rejuvenation into the serene lap of nature.

Few of factors in consideration led me to rate 4 stars. We went there to experience the food and ambiance for a day trip from Kolkata 1. Location - Google map directions are easy to spot else slight difficulty if you follow road directions and self drive. 2. Food - Excellent in taste. Spreads are limited but the quality and taste wise excellent. 3. Price - Given the quantity of food, taste, and ambiance it seems the foods are priced towards higher range 4. Ambiance - Good. Ample green lawn but small broken glasses particles were present on the lawn. Which made us conscious that not to walk barefooted on the grass. Availability of clean, well maintained swimming pool for children's, and adults. You need swimming costume to go in the pool. You can purchase or rent from the counter. 5. Room - room rates are decent. Overall, "glass" incident made me to rate 4 stars or else I could have given five stars.

We stayed here from 13th-14th August. Rooms are good and spacious, food is expensive over here. They have a lot of restrictions, like pool clothes or timing of playing arrows. The carrom board is like ages old. There is some confusion about the check in time, the hotel staff says it is from 2 PM but on Agoda it says 12 PM from where we booked. Would not recommend more than 1 day of stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Country Roads hotel during my visit. I am delighted to say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I would wholeheartedly rate this hotel a perfect 5 stars.

Good food but excessively costly. For 2pcs Prawn, they charged us Rs. 700 per plate. Also, the place is filled with mosquitoes. Overall, it is a good nearby place for outings, but management should look at the prices and also control pests.

A large and big resort with a huge green lawn. I was visiting Amta for a dear friend's marriage and was unable to find a nice accommodation nearby. Finally, on a local driver's recommendation, I visited this place and found it to be a great place at such a small town. Immediately booked for 3 night stay. There was nothing compared to this resort in about 30 kms from here. This place is outside of Kolkata, on the Kolkata Chennai national highway. The rooms were big and clean. Service was fine. The location was also good. I have rated this resort as per the available choices in the vicinity. The food was also nice. Though there was a slight hiccup on the room front. The room allotted to me was an upgraded one which the manager wanted back after one day of stay. Also, there was pest control done in the nearby room which created a foul smell in my room. Still, I feel this resort is wonderful considering the alternatives available. 100% RECOMMENDED

The rooms are over priced. Poor room service. They didn't provide us the wifi password of your room no matter how many times we asked. Rooms : big but it had a strange smell Food : Quality - for Indian food, its average..for chinese, its pathetic. Every item is overpriced. Quantity - very less, not even sufficient for 2 people. The soups taste aweful. Breakfast buffet available but the menu is very basic and they just take out little quantity of food at a time; so you have to wait for some foods for a long time. Ambience - nothing special. Just a lot of space to walk around inside the property. Customer service - very very very poor. They dont really pay attention. We had books a 3sharing rooms but all the refreshments and complementary tea coffee was 2set. We called and asked fpr an extra set but they never had sent it. The only good thing is the POOL.. its clean and enjoyable. The place is awefully expensive and I would never recommend anyone to visit this property.

If you are going for a peaceful hassle free wedding stay go for this without a second thought, they are one of the most genuine people we have ever come across, don’t think twice just go for it. Their Experience in the business, loyalty to the work they do and customer satisfaction is their utmost priority, their work has spoken to us! The food they offer to us not only in the main events like sangeet or shadi, on the day time also like breakfast & lunch everything was really fresh and tasty. All our guests in the wedding have spoken more than enough for the hospitality and services they received at our wedding. We still receive compliments for the food till date. Some of the highlights: 1. Excellent hospitality. 2. Utter professionalism. 3. Genuine people. 4. Wonderful tasteful food. 5. Courteous staff members. 6. They understand their client’s requirements and act accordingly. 7. Experienced and top class in their business . One more suggestion I have from my personal experience is please don’t go for any outside event manager, these people have several in house contacts you can first check those. Paying so much extra money to an event manager for decor is not required which we did! Again more than the event manager, Mr. Nanak & his team helped to make my wedding a major success! It's a nice resort, staff is friendly. Went there to attend a wedding, everything was done well. Only problem was the bungalow room was terrible. It was musty, old and dirty. Water heater didn't work and doors didn't close. The individual rooms that are above the reception were much better.

We rented the Country Roads Resort for our wedding weekend. We celebrated 3 days with friends from all over the world and everyone had a fantastic time at the hotel. The rooms were nice, comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly, helpful and very professional. They accommodated all our wishes and always went the extra mile. The outdoor area is also very nice and provided some great photo opportunities. The food was fantastic. The cooks also made sure that it is not too spicy for our foreign guests. There are plenty of bungalows in the park area of the hotel, which are of different quality, but the ones we booked were very nice and spacious. We had an amazing time and wanted to thank the manager of the hotel for making our wedding a special weekend for everyone. We will come back for sure the next time we are in Kolkata. If you ever want to have a fantastic wedding in Kolkata surrounded by nature this is the place to go.

Country Roads is located on Andul road about 35 kilometers from Kolkata city. A great resort with all modern amenities. We had a office picnic and their arrangements were mind blowing. Swimming Pool is absolute bliss. Food was very tasty and served hot. The only con is the rooms are very expensive.
