Live Jazz Music and amazingly cooked food. It's a lovely day. A must visit for Foodies. Ambience was top notch and classy. All the foods which we ordered were finely cooked and was worth every single penny. Perfect place for a date or even for a Family get together. Food is undoubtedly best but the music acts like a cherry over a fine cake. Easier to reach as it's situated on the main road.

Trincas is a Posh Restaurant in Park Street with a very Liberal Ambiance I loved the hedonistic ambiance of the restaurant, everything about this place simply oozes of elitist luxury and having mindless fun with friends. I loved the Food of this place, but what I appreciate even more is the Rainbow Pride Banner hanging outside right beside the door of this restaurant, which makes me as a homosexual man feel represented. Overall, I love Trincas, it's a great place to be in!

The Restaurant is near Park Street and it offers a delightful experience. For me the extensive menu is enough to satisfy any need (there are whole lot of options from starters to main courses to desserts). The flavors are good too. Ambiance is definitely not unnoticeable with its beautiful decor and cozy seating arrangements. And the live music adds a vibrant touch. You should definitely visit once with your better one.

All the staffs are very polite n courteous. Food tasted really worth the price (we ordered the Lamb Lasagne) and quantity was good too. Live music just added to the already commendable ambience of the place. (the Christmas decor maybe added more to it) Overall I'm glad I came here :)

We went on a Friday evening and had to wait for half an hour. Food was excellent so was the service. The server even described the name behind each dishes and he had a smile throughout the service. The place was a little cramped but the performer was excellent and we had a lovely time. We had ordered crab, prawns, lobster for starters. Wished crab was 2 in a plate as Mocambo serves 2 pieces and the price was almost the same. Lobster was excellent so we're the prawns. Chicken Ala kiev was excellent, noddles and rice was also good. We didn't like the lamb dish though as it was chewy.

Although the history of Trincas dates back to 1936 when it began its journey as a tea room and bakery, the restaurant that we know today took shape in 1959 after its Swiss owner Cinzio Trinca sold it to Om Prakash Puri and Ellis Joshua. They converted the tea room to a restaurant and added ‘floor shows’. The restaurant seats approximately 150 people with a small platform in the back for bands to play live music. A long, partially-frosted glass window has replaced the 18-foot-high original doorway and tables placed nearby offer customers an unparalleled view of the Park Street and Russell Street crossing and the grand facade of Queens Mansion. The food and ambience are upto the mark and this place is definitely worth a visit.

Unmatched feel with live Jazz music during the lunch hours. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the hospitality and above all the food. There is certain quiet confidence in the way all the staff members conduct themselves. Apart from the mixed platter, which is indo/mughlai, the rest of our orders were Chinese dishes. All were great. But I should specially call out the Crispy baby corn and the brownie with ice cream. Both of the items were on another level. The other dishes were great too. I would be happy to go back once more specially for dinner to check out what the ambience is like compared to the lunch time.

This is where the boy grew to be a man. More than 12 years of visiting my favourite watering hole. Witness to many tears and smiles. Staff that is incomparable, food to die for and most importantly, Quiet. Writing this with extreme fear that people might go there in droves and spoil the sanctity of the place. Tavern shall always have my heart!

What can one say more about Trincas. Iconic place with a lot of history. The restaurant lost its way a bit in the past, but recently they went a change and their chef as well as service went a full overhaul. Now it's a brilliant place to have chinese mughlai and even continental dishes. Live music on weekends is an add on. We had mixed grill platter, mixed fried rice, chicken side dish. Much recommended, give this place a visit definitely.

I visited TRINCAS on June 5 for the first time on my birthday. I got to admit the Vibes are very different than other places, feels like we're time travelled in 1960's. The vibe, the elegance made TRINCAS something different than other restaurants. Those who are visiting for the first time, the place located just in front of the park hotel. Let's talk about food. The foods are very much premium in taste. We ordered, 1. Trincas special "The Drums of Heaven" 2. Lobster Thermador 3. Chicken Ala Kiev 4. Murgh makhmali cheese kebab 5. Paneer Irani kebab 6. Mixed fried rice 7. Murgh malai with gravy 8. Caramel custard 9. Virgin Mojito 10. Corona Lite beer Our total bill came to 4556/- Staffs are excellent, live music available. Special jazz performance on Saturday Sunday. Thank you TRINCAS for the amazing memories, foods, and it's all about music.

I would say overrated and overhyped. Food quality is ok. We ordered golden fried prawn it was not up to the mark. The taste was so so. Ambience wise it's good. You can feel the old heritage type. Even they have live music probably after 6 pm. Overall I would say it's ok for a one time visit.

I went to Park Street to meet my friend then i saw this place, from outside it’s ambience looks so good that we had to try. Then we entered this place from inside its a very cozy place and it has good ambience from inside also. We got our seat very quickly we don’t have to wait for a little. Then coming to foods and drinks quality is very good and price is also reasonable. We tried Panko fried prawn it very good, then drinks and cocktails what we tried are good. I recommend to have Baganbari cocktail its their specialty and we tried LIIT it’s alcohol consistency also good. Overall very good experience and we want to visit again this place.

I've been visiting Trinca's with my parents since i was a child, here i will only talk about the Family restaurant area. To start off, Trinca's is divided in three sections; the family dining area where the live music plays every evening, the bar, and the snacks counter. The quality of the food is genuinely good. They serve continental which includes Chinese, Italian, alongside yummy Indian dishes too. Their dessert selection is truly vast. Of which our personal favourites have been the caramel custard, chocolate mousse, and the vanila ice-cream with hot chocolate. They also have a vast choice of alcoholic beverages to select from. The staff here are truly sweet. Everyone has perfect etiquettes, creating a very peaceful and respectful environment. The background music at all the other hours of the day, when the band is not playing, is quite lovely too. Coming to the prices, on an average, every dish here costs around Rs. 280 (with slight alterations of course). Where the appetizers, soups and dessert prices may vary. Personally our meal order goes something like this: Irani kebab or the chicken of cream soup or drums of heaven, for appetizers. A chicken tetrazzini or Penne al fredo or sizzler follows. Finally a dessert. I've also loved the Indian dishes served here. The chicken fried rice or chopsuey is also a safe bet of a healthy and tasty main course, along side some sort of a salad.

Hadn't been here since I was a child and this time I was lucky to have gone their for lunch. Dinner is not possible for me as the music might be good but it's always too loud but lunch time is eerily quiet and relaxing. Staff were very attentive, air-conditioning was exquisite and eat at such a heritage joint is an experience in itself. The Lobster Thermidor and Shepherds Pie were truly out of this world. Can't wait to be back here to taste the other continental goodies.

I enjoyed my dining experience here. The ambience was spot on and was relatively quieter that I hoped it would be. We ordered hot garlic fish, prawn egg fried rice, corn basil fried rice and lemon chicken. The lemon chicken was a little disappointing for me personally but the overall experience was good. The bill was somewhere around 1600. Definitely visit this place if you get the opportunity.

We went there for lunch on a Saturday. The ambience was very nice with live jazz music playing at a pleasant level. The food order was taken electronically by a very nice gentleman. We were a party of 6 and were surprised to see the lightning fast speed at which the food was delivered (within 10 minutes of placing the order)! Everything tasted great!! This restaurant really lives up to me hype and our expectation!

What more can I tell about a posh restaurant that present in Park Street since 1939 and people do not know about it? Well literally nothing..🤷 Had gone to Trincas to meet one of my school senior didi and her husband 🫂. As it was a Saturday afternoon we had to wait for 5 to 6 mins to get a table. For lunch : - I had Shepards Pie My senior had Chicken Steak And her husband had Chelo Kebab Sizzlers. From the cocktail menu we had ordered Pinacolada and Screwdriver. The live music is a vibe in itself. No complaints about the ambience but I felt the tables are too close to each other (owner should look into this). The staffs were professional but at the same time had explained what we should order that would satisfy our taste buds. #Trincas is one such place that everyone should visit once in their lifetime to experience history and class.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was totally mesmerized by it's warm environment. Moreover, the ambience of the restaurant had a delightful fusion of charm. Coming to the service part, the service was good and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Each and every food item was served on time without any kind of delay. Finally, for starters I had ordered chicken drums of heaven ( Trincas style) that came along with a spicy dip followed by Chicken phuljhadi kababs, Chicken egg hakka noodles and Dragon chicken. Each and every food item that was served on my table was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. Drums of heaven had subtle flavour yet it was flavourful in its own way, chicken hakka noodles was equally good in taste. Dragon chicken and Chicken phuljhadi kababs on the other hand which I felt as the star of the show was filled with aromatic flavours. It was spicy and delicious at the same time. This restaurant also has a wide range of veg options to welcome all the diners. In short, Trincas exceeded my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to all the Foodies like me out there. My rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐/ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Address - 17, Park Street, Kolkata 700016. ( Near Oxford Book Store). Cost per person - 1,000.

They’ve up scaled very well but has still kept its old jazzy vibe well. Service is pretty good and food is great. Great choice of cocktails, specially “Pushpa” if you’re into gin. All I could feel if they could just gather some more space given the kind of crowd they get even on a random Tuesday night.

Had an amazing time... The ambience, food and courteous behavior of staff members is cherishable... Live band knows its audience and sings in accordance to the mood... Best place to go with family and friends... Food is amazing... Although it took time to prepare the meals... But the result was lip-smacking...

We went with family before lockdown started during March this year and I am super excited as I heard lots of nostalgia about trincas but I was bit disappointed because the manager send us in a ming room and it was not at all spacious and rather over crowded, tables and chairs were small, ambience was little bit loud but maybe it just because live band was performing, food quality and quantity both were good but little bit spicy for us and it would be perfectly matched with hard drinks. But you can feel the era of 1960s and 70s and decorations were also blend with the era. So for me one time explore is fine.

Great family-oriented restaurant. We tried the Trincas Specialty Kebab Platter, which was really good. The continental dishes are well prepared. I liked the Shepherd's Pie, they didn't go heavy on the cheese. However, the wine collection is not that great, and they don't have any experienced sommeliers.

Food quality is very good at a moderate price. Some alcohols are too costly while some are cheap. While my visit there was a show jazz performance by a local band. If you visit here in weekend you will get most of it. Ambience is pretty good. I would suggest to visit this place around evening. Place is best for groupies and not so private for couples. Quite an open environment but soothing experience. Restroom is in another business zone and there is beautiful coffee shop. Hospitality is good but waiters are over-humbled and serve you food or drinks or take plates after eating without asking which I personally don't like. I like to finish the whole plate before giving it away -:)-:)

A busy restaurant on Park Street, outside Hotel Park. To dine here you need to reserve table here. There's a small portion of the restaurant seperated for bar and is called Mings. The entry is from Trincas even though there's a door to Mings too. The restaurant started in 1939 as tea house and bakery and was converted into the Trincas in 1959. Parking is allowed inside Park hotel and there's a live band playing old melodious Hindi and Bengali songs. The restaurant gets really crowded, it is said that every Blue blood Bengali family has a story about Trincas. The day I visited Trincas, there were 3 Birthday celebration and by 9 the place was packed. Service is quick and you number is recorded before you enter the place. The restaurant will WhatsApp the menu to your phone and about the restaurant. The are where they serve alcohol is little congested, if you are in group, you can still enjoy here.

The low lighting ambience along with the live music brings the restaurant alive!! All the artists are talented and their choice of music and songs is brilliant. The food is good, butter garlic prawns with a side of mashed potatoes tasted delicious, and the portion size is definitely worth the price. They also have another sitting area above with the same menu, for people who prefer a more quiet and intimate setting.

Behavior and response of the Staffs and waiter was not that much good. Drink and music is average, I would not suggest anyone to visit here, there are so many bars and pubs in park street... When I was telling them about my bad experience, they didn't even care. BIG NO

We were three and they have us sit in a 5 person table. We ordered food. Then all on a sudden they moved us to another seat mentioning a 5 people gust is there. However in the new arrangement 5 people could easily be arranged. Just wondering why they moved us andnwhy not they took the other.

The order making process is really disappointing.. sometimes they don't even take the order of the main meal after ordering the starter..later they give explanation that they have forgotten..they dont care about customer's time..also sometimes the music is too loud..i understand the culture but if the music is too loud it's actually effecting the ambience. Food was okay..a little overpriced but taste was good..but the way they serve people is really unacceptable..you cant take your customers for granted..so please think before visiting here..

Trincas is an already much popular and established restaurant in and across the city of Joy,so there is nothing much new to say about this place. But yes I would love to share my experience here. Very recently, I had visited this place on an evening. When I entered, a soft live Hindi music was going on and the staff over there courteously welcomed us. Then we ordered- Mini Chicken A la Kiev, Chicken drums of Heaven, Chicken steak sizzler, Chilli pork, Bhetki In Paprika Sauce. Will come to all the dishes one by one,but before that I want to mention that there are all total four outlets of Trincas, all the four outlets serve different cuisine(you can details on Zomato as well as on their official website). Coming to food, pork in chilli pork was soft and I can say one of the best quality pork in the city. Chicken steak sizzler was served with smashed potato and peas. Sizzler gravy was not too oily or greasy, chicken was soft and well cooked. I tried a la kiev first time here,it was good, five pieces were served in a portion,it was a continental version of chicken pakora thick coated chicken with melted butter inside. Chicken drums of heaven, coating was crispy and soft; chicken was soft, juicy and tender. Bhetki in Paprika Sauce was my personal favourite here, baked bhetki was served with butter rice, smashed potato and sauted vegetables. Bhetki was soft, whenever I put it in mouth,it just melted. Last but not least, I just loved their live music section and the singers

Trincas reminds you of old Calcutta, dating back to the 80's. The ambience is just like that of a classic old wooden bar and live music and intellectual conversations over whiskey and great food. The food here is great too. Especially the continental dishes. Trincas does it's continental dishes really well. My personal favorites are the Chicken/Prawn Tetrazzini. Finger foods like fish and chips are a local favourite too. They also have a wide range of Thai and Chinese dishes. The rustic and vintage ambience of Trincas and Park Street makes you feel a certain sense of nostalgia you haven't felt before, and that's why you should visit Trincas if you're in Calcutta.

*Follow kolkata.foodie.dibyajit at Instagram and Zomato for more drooling pics and unbiased reviews* Trincas is a legendary place to me. I have been to this place on numerous occasions along with friends and family. One of the places which my father used to take me during childhood days. This place is nostalgic as I had the first beer of my life here only, ofcourse after crossing 18 years of age. Good ambience, friendly staffs and great food. My suggestion is to keep the plans simple. Drink as per your wish, choose a starter and finish off with a main course and side dish of your choice. Each and every dish that they make is absolutely perfect and that is why they are in business since long. People who don't drink can try the fresh lime soda. It's refreshing. People who do not like live music can prefer to visit during the afternoon although the music will add to the experience. Trincas has never been disappointing to me. Hence, whenever I visit Calcutta, I make a point to visit Trincas as well.

Located at the front of "the beautiful ParkStreet" road. The Park is the land mark. Now about the place- ever green ambience, nostalgia is in the air, live music 🎶 makes it heaven for your dining experience. From ages it's known for great live music. Food is good(slightly average) , drinks - moderate range . Pricing- Little high but considering the location it's justified. I have always loved and liked this place, be it I was with friends or family. Highly recommended 👌.

Trincas gave me the vive of old-age restaurant with new edition. This is one of the most historic restaurant, standing tall since 1939. There is a nostalgia vive to this place with goes with the decor and ambience. I've been here with my friends and I enjoyed the live music along with the food. We ordered Chicken A La Kiev (my favourite), Chello Kabab Sizzler and Chicken Strauganoff. The service was smooth, the manager of this place makes sure food is served on time and every one's food request is attended. I would recommend you to try Chicken A La Kiev if you're visiting Triancas.

Was at the historic Trincas Restaurant for a shoot with Team FoodZpah Vlog a couple of days back! Having opened its door, back in 1939 as a tea room & bakery in its present location, the iconic Trincas Restaurant is a piece of history of the Park Street culture of the late 60's to 80's. From live performance of Western bands to the lip-smacking food, Trincas offered an experience like none other! National & International stars like Biddu Appaiah, Usha Uthup have performed during their times at this iconic restaurant. Trincas has stood the test of time & still today is one of the best in town! If you visit Trincas, you will find the pictures on the walls portraying its rich history. They offer continental, Chinese, Thai, Indian cuisines & each of the cuisine is top notch! The lip-smacking food to go with its rich history is what makes Trincas unique in its own way!! 😊 The vibe & ambience of the place is really great. The decor has a classic retro touch to it, however it is very well maintained. The service too was promt & the staff is well trained. Now coming to what we had •Drums of Heaven along with the house special Ming 83 sauce (Strongly Recommended) This combination of the Ming 83 dip & the chicken drums of Heaven does wonders, however, that being said you should be extremely careful with the dip its extremely spicy!! •Veg Lasagna This was decent. Compared to the other dishes we tried, this can be given a miss. However, for vegetarians its a pretty good option. •Lobster Thermidor (Strongly Recommended) The creamy lobster meat comes with a side of mashed potatoes & boiled peas! The combination hardly ever goes wrong!! •Fish Chello Kebab Platter (Strongly Recommended) This comprised of the classic fish Irani Kebab, which had very appetizing smokey flavour, buttered rice topped with an poached egg, couple of mutton seekh kabab, a green chutney dip & a side of salad. •Pinacolada (Recommended) I am not a big fan of pinacolada, however the pinacolada here was really different from most places I have had & was good. •Caramel Custard (Recommended) This had the right balance of sweetness, perfect way to end the meal! Invitation Courtesy : Shahbaaz Zaman I am surely going back again soon. Absolutely loved the entire experience!!

A well known eatery of Kolkata, most the reviews cover the ambiance and food. I would rather point out about the placement of the wash basin and toilet, it's a bit far away from the dining table. Had limited range of drinks otherwise really fine foods. The sizzlers are exceptionally good.

Pathetic is an understatement. The manager is the worst human being on the planet. He literally knows nothing about the place or food, serves you bad food, argues with you when it is their fault. I have been to 500+ bars and restaurants across India but have never seen a manager worse than this. The manager makes your whole experience of yhe place bad. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic.

As classy and cosy as always. You can always drop in for a quick bite and some drinks on a winter evening. Or summer, or monsoon. Or maybe have an elaborate dinner with family and friends. A briefly visited this place on an evening during 2022 Christmas. Food was good, so were the drinks, the staff was nice and cordial. We had to wait a bit in the queue, but not too long. And the live music was great!

In short, a GREAT experience. Went there on our way back from some work and reached slightly late at around 3:30, but that didn't affect their service whatsoever. The service was prompt, the waiters and servers (we had 2 because they had a change in shift while we were there) were extremely polite and accommodating, the drinks were delicious and the food was amazing as well. Honestly, I couldn't find a fault even if I tried. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who isn't sure about where to dine in Kolkata.

As usual great ambience and staff service to begin with and the food was just too good. We had - 1. Chicken Ala Kiev 2. Lobster Thermidor 3. Shepard's Pie 4. Caramel Custard Every single item was almost near perfection and served fresh and hot. Really enjoyed the experience. Will visit again soon ❤️

Another Calcutta icon, conveniently located next to my hotel and therefore I was irresistibly curious to try it out. They do not take reservations and I was quite happy to be seated at one of the tables in the small anteroom. Attentive service brought my cocktail and crisps speedily, followed by my main course, which I enjoyed. Luckily, there was no one at the next table, for they are quite closely spaced. The music felt a little too loud for a restaurant hiking up the volume of conversation, but it was hard not to tap my feet along to some old favourites performed by some top notch talent.

Trincas is a place full of nostalgia and charm. A great place to enjoy some wuakity time with your family and friends over a couple of drinks and music. They have bollywood songs from 6-8pm and 8-11pm are English (but they should really keep a check in punctuality). Apart from that food quality is really great. They are freshly cooked and properly served.

What more to say about this place, everybody in Kolkata knows what Trincas is to Calcutta. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, with live music and a wide variety of food options. I tried the North Indian cuisine, and it was delicious! The service was also excellent, and the prices were reasonable.

I had the pleasure of revisiting one of the classic hangout spots on Park Street. Last Saturday, I met up with a group of childhood friends for lunch at this restaurant. The experience was delightful as we relished the scrumptious food while soaking in the charming ambiance, accompanied by the soothing tunes of live jazz music. I highly recommend this place for afternoon visits when the crowd is thinner, allowing you to unwind, savor your drinks, and bask in the delightful background music.

Tavern - the Sister outlet of the Main Trincas has been no less than of a great place than the main one. The Pink Thursdays at Tavern have been a boon to the Queers and allies alike, where it creates a safe space for Queers and LGBTQIA+ folks. It allows people to bond in more intimate and cosy bondships and establish friendships between different people. The Karaoke is the best part of the place where known, unknown, everyone matches their voices and sing together. The food and their 2+1 offer on drinks is a cherry on top. My Thursdays now feel incomplete without a visit to the Tavern

We went there for lunch. Ambience was very enjoyable with live music performance. Food was good. We ordered 1. Bekti fish tikka tandoori which tasted really delicious. But it serves with 5 small pieces and costs 525 which is not worth it. 2. Butter Nun which tasted good 3. Chicken Tikka Makhani which was very tasty. Staffs were very well behaved and responsive. Overall its a nice place to visit and afterall its a legendary place in Kolkata . So, will recommend everyone to visit this place at least once.

🫰How to reach:4-5 mins walk from park Street metro station. Just beneath the Park hotel 🫰 Cuisine- a huge variety of food items including coffee from morning 8.30 AM to dinner with Pina colada 11 PM 🫰Menu- https://www.trincas.in/menu 🫰Food- foods were very tempting, each item was superb. 🫰USP- FOOD WITH LIVE ORCHESTRA 🫰Most most recommended. As in a park Street area, foods are affordable and side dishes are enough for two persons.

Pros: Great Experience and Vibe, Food was just great. We took drums of heaven and Pina Colada!🥥 Cons: It took a lot of time for the food to come, Won't recommend it if you are in a hurry. Other than that, They will put 0 service charge on the bill and taunt you indirectly for a tip. (Even before you are going to put some.)
