Not accepting anymore from non Kolkata address of the patient. They are being forced to change polyclinic. If the proximity is closer to Saltlake or Howrah then they too being shifted to saltlake or Howrah polyclinic respectively. No proper steps provided on how to apply for the same. I suggest people to download this particular form and submit them along with echs card copy at their current polyclinic for transfer to their respective nearest polyclinic.

Most of the staff's behaviour is not good. They acted as Fauji Babu. Ex servicemen have to face the same Babu giri as he faced during his service. They acted as if they were doing favour on an ECHS card holder. They didn't give the referral so easily. They have to instruct that no one wants treatment in civil without any illness. When an ex-serviceman has paid Rs 67,000 for this, then why should he make repeated rounds to get referrals? Nobody wants to go to the doctor without any problem.

OIC polyclinic EC Kolkata Col Mukherjee, and his team is doing an excellent service to ESM or veterans. I am particularly fascinated by his customer centricity, patience and spirit of service. Being a medical corps officer, he is highly suited for the role and delivering service with utmost humility and professionalism.

It is quite delightful to note that there is a drastic change for good in the services of ECHS Kolkata under the dynamic leadership of Lt Col Vidyut Mukherjee, wherein the staff and Docors are extremely cooperative. Medicines are available barring a few and reimbursement of NA medicines are given albeit with some delay. All my referral cases are also smoothly processed. The Officer- in Charge is easily approachable and most of the problems are sorted out instantly. Hope this positive approach continues for the benefit of the veterans and their families.

Visited the Polyclinic after a gap of three years. Very satisfying experience with the extremely proactive and helpful attitude of the OC Polyclinic Lt Col Vidyut Mukherjee. Resolved outstanding issues with my new 64kb ECHS CARD and hassle free appointments with doctors. Was very happy with the helpful attitude of the entire staff in the Polyclinic. It has reinstated my belief in the system despite any shortcomings.

This medical facility is for ex-servicemen who have served in defence forces. The polytechnic is functioning from 8AM onwards. Some doctors come by 9AM. Advisable to reach before 8AM

The ECHS polyclinic Kolkata is functioning in its utmost capacity with good satisfaction, however the waiting period can be reduced by appointing more staff.

Horrible staff. Especially Lt Col S Bhattacharya - asked me to get out of his office when I asked him for help to find the form. Should be filed a complaint against. I am disappointed at the kind of service we have in this country where people like this sit and call themselves doctor.

I'm the ECHS beneficiary since 2007. However, since last 3-4 months I have noticed several improvements in the poly clinic like availability of medicine and referral cases. Earlier maximum medicine was not available in the PC. Now 80- 90% of medicine are available there. Earlier photo copy of several documents were required in the case of referral. Now the referral cases are made without submission of photo copy of any documents.

The ECHS, Kolkata over the past few years has improved a lot in terms of both infrastructure and overall management. The OiC Lt. Col. Vidyut Chakraborty is an able administrator and an exceptional physician. The treatment provided by all the physicians are good and timely provided. The quality of ECHS has definitely improved. Only complaint is against a lady doctor sitting at room number 3. Her behaviour and dealings with her patients is absolutely aweful, below par from what is expected from a doctor.

I and my wife recently used "ECHS beneficiary App" from mobile phone to book appointment with doctor, the app is very good and convenient. At ECHS reception it was very convenient to get the coupon as the system had my appointment. Appointment booking by app is very useful for senior citizen. Staff are very helpful and well-behaved. we appreciate the initiation taken by ECHS.
