The place is situated in congested area. 20 mins walking distance from bis stop, u can get toto rikshaw which take 5 mins.... U have park your car in road side...there is no specific parking slot...if you don't have any interest in archaeology then don't go...if u have interest in history, archaeology then u can go... The 1st floor of the building is museum... photography is strictly prohibited...but guids are helpful

The museum definitely needs more publicity. It's a small museum, yet has a lot of excellent artefacts. A must visit place in the area.

Recently visited. Definitely an important museum. But in display some mismatch is there between number items displayed. Some spelling mistakes of bengali words are also to be corrected. However, tourists should visit the museum.

Quite well maintained, but not very well known. Even the local shopkeepers couldn’t say the exact location of it. The museum is located just adjacent to the tamluk municipality office. If anyone visits tamluk, s/he shouldn’t miss the true essence of history. They won't ask you for entry fee :)

A good place to visit in Tamluk..Archeological museum has good collection of historical artefacts. It is difficult to locate the museum in this congested area but after entering into the main hall which is on first floor of the building filled my mind with curiosity. Well maintained area with preserved documents and material from stone age to Gupta, Pal and Sen dynasty. Terracotta model, scroll painting and different historical artefacts are well preserved. It remains closed on Friday, opening time is from 9AM to 7 PM. No entry fees. Liked the place

👍 I got a chance to sit on the bank of this river at Tamluk river bank where no one was there except me. You can hear the sound of it's flow and spend a quality time with yourself in such a peaceful atmosphere. You can also come for picnic here , most beautiful area is that.
