They have got a wide variety of furnitures. But I am changing my review today as their quality and services are not upto the mark. I had bought 3 beds, 2 cupboards and a dining set. The installation was done within a few days of delivery, but the problem starts within a few months. You can clearly notice the poor quality of materials being used when the top layer of the board starts to erode. A few days back, suddenly the bottom part of my dining table came off on it’s own. The part that came off was not even assembled by any screw, it was a pasting of some sort that came from factory when the item was delivered. I have attached pictures also. Since this happened within 4months, I went ahead and lodged a complaint with them, and I was assured that I would be contacted within 1 week by their technician. It has been 2 and a half week since then. When I contacted them after one week of no contact, they said it might take 10 days, but now it’s 17 days after my complaint, and they deliberately don’t even take up my call. Buy furniture from anywhere other than hometown. They provide poor quality items, and dont even hold up their end of the bargain when it comes to warranty. I was cheated, hope this review saves you from being so.

He did an excellent job and did the entire fitting in no time. Their service is really amazing. Thanks to the support team, Mr. Prasenjit Karmakar as well.

Very poor in customer support. I had ordered a queen size bed on 14th April & was delivered on 3rd May after 4 days delays against their own commitment. I am still waiting to get the fitting done. Customer services are pathetic. Think twice before placing any order with them unless you have patience to wait infinite.

Extremely rude people. They think they are over and above the customers. And most importantly they are not delivering product which are heavy and big and cannot fitted into a standard car. So people are supposed to buy such products and carry them on top of their heads. Very bad experience never visit this store.

The financial state of future group reflects from the stock of furniture that they have. All that they have is on display. They have almost nothing in stock, and even when asked when the unit might arrive, have no idea. On the top of that, the units on display are partially scratched due to many people trying them out. The company does not have a policy of providing these units on a discount.

Hometown is the worst and the most harrowing experience for a customer. As a customer, I faced issue with their incapable service thrice after which I have sworn never to invest in their furniture and upholsteries again. Not only the deliveries are rescheduled without communication or consent but the executives are living in denial of the customer's constant complaints and hence lack of accountability and providence of improvement. Save your time and money by NOT chosing Hometown.

I went to Central mall Home Town last to last week. I bought one sofa and a side table. The items were to be delivered to Mankundu, Hooghly. The sales person told that they do not have delivery option to Mankundu, but they can deliver it to Uttarpara max. I have my parents home there so decided to get the delivery there and remaining I will manage myself. 2days back I received call from home town that the delivery will be done and I will receive call from the delivery agents one day prior. But unfortunately I have not yet received call from them, moreover, when I tried to call back to the same number almost 50 times, it is either busy or switched off. There is no separate number for Kolkata home town, which is again difficult to track. Now I already have made arrangements to carry the items from Uttarpara to Mankundu, but I am not sure if the item will be delivered to Uttarpara itself. Frustrated with follow ups, and strange to see the communication gap between the inventory, the delivery, the sales person, the office, etc etc.

Nothing good is available. Zero stock and old stock! Even in the 40 degree they are not turning the AC on and in the clearance sale they are giving broken and used furniture at high rates. Hometown is no longer good for furniture! Waste of time.

Location- Central Mall Landmark- between Newtown Bus-stand and Axis Mall. The collection of furniture is wide and comes at a good rate. They are not overpriced and of gold quality. Apart from Furniture, I find everything else overpriced, especially the showpiece, memento section. Although they have collection of lucrative items but if you compare them to online similar products, the range here at Hometown is quite high. Last time I visited couple of weeks ago, the AC was hardly working so it was very suffocating inside hence we had to come out quickly. Final Verdict- I used to love this place, collection, cost a year or two back. It is not improving sadly. I would like to see them working at the cost of their Home Decor collection.

Their representative Mr. Sanjay Sardar was extremely helpful, listening patiently and guiding us through the entire process, answered all our questions promptly and clearly and gave us a lot of suggestions which was really useful. Huge collection of furnitures & other accessories. Went to buy a king size bed & mattress but ultimately ended up buying 3 door wardrobe, night stand, dinning table in addition to bed & mattress. Delivery was on the exact date mentioned in the receipt & was assembled on that very day. Staffs are cordial & knowledgeable. Specially to mention Mr.Sanjay Sardar, very dedicated , well behaved sales person who knows every fine detail of the goods. Thanks to him & the whole Hometown team, Central mall, Rajarhat.

Inefficient customer service and lack of coordination between departments. I had been buying products from Home Town since quite a while and decided to stop in lack of recent events. I bought a chimney on June 13th, 2020 and it was delivered to me on June 15th, 2020. However, once delivery was done there was no calls for installation or inspection. I called customer service thrice and on the last call which was on July 1st, 2020, almost two weeks later, they decided to send people for inspection who upon arrival said that the product wouldn't fit the space that is there. While purchasing I was not informed about these technicalities by the lady who sold me the product. The entire situation has been very badly handled by the team and I was ultimately forced to take the decision to return because I would again have to go through the hassle of purchasing another product. And to my dismay, I get a call on July 03rd asking if Installation was complete because they just received the ticket that there was an issue with installation. Imagine the coordintion between departments.

I have purchased 1 Sofa set 1 centre table from Hometown (Central Mall), Rajarhat,Kolkata on 11.06.2020 . At the time of purchasing the Salesperson told me that it will take approximately 1 month to deliver the product & if product is reached before time from their Pune warehouse to Kolkata warehouse then the product will b delivered before 1 month. 3 weeks ago I got one message that my product is reached to Kolkata warehouse....after that I had called several times to Hometown CSD no. but with my utter dissapointment nobody recieved my call...Then I called in the customer care number, one representative informed me that she will informed the store to contact with me..but still I haven't received any call from there part...now I really feeling helpless...In future I have to think twice before purchasing from your store.....Kindly improve your service in future.

We have given our modular kitchen and bathroom renovation to hometown Rajrhat (Kolkata) the experience has been a nightmare. In short poor work quality, horrible team management and no coordination or sense of responsibility. And the best part is you yourself will endup as the supervisor/designer and the so called the assigned people will still be unware!!! Such a shame... I will recommend think thousand time before assiging any work to them because all they can come up or end up with is their idiotic excuses. The amount we have been charged is par more than the market rate still we trusted it as a brand but they have just drained our hard earned money!!

very unprofessional experience for the Hometown rajarhat Kolkata. We purchased items from Hometown on Saturday which agreed to be delivered on Tuesday. However today on Wednesday they are saying it will be delivered by 23rd Dec. because they have issue in the SAP system in warehouse. However, delivery person in the morning called me and confirmed the address and when I followed him up in afternoon he said as his truck is full he is not coming to my location, please check with hometown. These guys are very unprofessional, store Manager is not ready to talk the issue. It seems while doing the billing they lied with me that they have ready stock and now as they are not able to deliver they are trying to get the stock. I will not recommend anyone to visit the store.

No sensitivity towards customer’s time and timelines. Officials promised the delivery of a bed purchased on 15 Dec to be latest by 19th Dec. They then postponed it a couple of times and delivered it on 22nd December. The delivery turned out to be incomplete and apparently the installation will now take 10 more days from here. The experience with “Home town” was absolutely dissatisfying. The service delivered was no less than disappointing and far from the expectation built and boasted by the brand “ Hometown” . Absolutely disappointing.

This is the worst place for shopping. If you have lot of money which you don't earned by yourself then you can enjoy the shopping. The cost of anything here is 2-3 times higher than any other shops.

The range of product is good but the price is very high. You might feel you are more spending more though depends on your pocket size. However for people those cannot make time to visit the local shop or local shops are not available this is the best place with all the collection. Few items the delivery time is too high. You need to coordinate with the sales person for installation of the product on time. For small items such as bathroom fittings and accessories you get to buy them rightway. For big items wait time is high and usually around 2weeks. Do try to visit the local shop if you can otherwise you will always find this hometown handy. one last word, Not all the staffs are good you have to be lucky to get the right guy to cooperate with your choice and budget.

Big time cheats and robbers. Given the project of modification of my kitchen. But the cheated me left and right. Given duplicate hinges of hettich which are mostly not working after 2 days and the kitchen civil work done by them are full of faults, water smoke every where.

Extremely poor customer service post sale. I bought products worth 2 lac in total but none came on time. It's almost like you have to beg post buying to get your stuff delivery. The real trouble begins after that for assembly as none of the department are coordinated. You will be lucky if you get everything at one go as I have not got my mattress and there is no one to answer by query.
