If you are feeling captivated in Home in recent pandemic situation, not going to anywhere outside your house..now it's ideal time to get the benefit of visiting Jagannath dham in Kolkata. Kolkata jagannath temple in khidirpur is right place for dwelling..it is nearly 10 minutes walk from khidirpur railway station. If you are coming from khidirpur crossing then take an auto for khidirpur tram depot, and from this point turn towards right. temple is hardly 5/10 minutes walking distance. Modern construction, well maintained, bhog Prasad Arrangement.. everything you find here...two storied structure.. you can book your seat in advance for bhog Prasad by telephone. Aarange ments are mainly by sitting on the floor for Bhog Prasad, if you want table chair arrangement then please talk in advance at the booking counter for making it sure. If you want Prasad at temple premises then the charge will be 150 INR per person, but for the parcel packing it will be 190 INR. It is requested to temple authority for the arrangement of more chair table for devotees who want to take Prasad at the Anand bazar ( hall at the ground floor). overall my opinion is it is A must visit place in Kolkata for completely different experience.

An astounding picturesque replica of the Jagannath Temple, Puri. This temple is a gift to the people of Kolkata, especially to the ones who are the devotees of Lord Jagannath but are unable to travel to Puri due to distance and other reasons. Alongside the main temple, there are several small temples constructed around it. Cleanliness is absolutely top-notch. Maha-Prasad is available after purchasing the coupons. Recommended. 👍đŸģ

Very nice and glorious temple of prabhu Jagannath. There are many other god and goddess in there. The temple is situated just opposite to Khiddirpore railway station. One can buy ghog/prasad thali from prasad counter, both dine in and take away facilities available in here. Less crowded on week days. The shrine of Lord Jagannaath, Balaram and Subhadra are marvelous.

I have been there for the first time and it was an amazing experience. I visited during afternoon and did darshan and offered prashad to Jaggannath. Then we waited for an hour for mahabhog, which happens everyday from 1 Pm. You can buy tickets for bhog with in temple itself. Parking is an issue, you need to park on road and again not for many people. But must visit this place. Jai Jaggannath.

Unbelievable to find such a beautiful temple built recently in such a densely populated place. The system is immaculate and everything is very well organized. There is a guy omnipresent to help you park your vehicle as well. Go ahead and have a visit, try and reach before 10 am for the best experience, spend some time at the temple

Jagannath Mandir, Dock Eastern Boundary Rd, Tikiapara, Khidirpur, Kolkata - 700023 is a perfect destination for a great time with your dear ones. Enjoy the attractions of this popular tourist spot. It is not just the place for sightseeing, but it also enables you to steal a self-indulgent moment for yourself as well. World standards, extraordinary architecture, innovative layouts, and well-thought execution make place a highly coveted point of tourist interest. Do not forget to carry your camera and capture special moments. It is a sure way to refresh and relax after a busy weekday with kids and family. (Translated by Google) Sri Sri Jagannath Temple: Khidirpur .................................................. .................... Before independence, the British built a large port at Khidirpur. People from different parts of the country came to work there. At that time many Orissans started living in and around the port. The Jagannath devotees of Orissa who left their homeland used to build the Sreejagannath Temple on the opposite side of the port in 1948. The Sreejagannath Temple, which was built before the independence of India, has become huge today.  After a long forty years, the temple was renovated again in 198 AD. Sadashiv Rath Sharma of Puri presided over the establishment of the new temple. At the beginning of the present century, the Sreejagannath Mandir Seva Samiti decided that the festival would be arranged according to the wishes and customs of the devotees. At that time a new two-storied temple was built. The present temple was built in 2003 with the permission and advice of Raja Gajapati Maharaj of Puri, the chief attendant of the Jagannath Temple in Puri. On June 6, 2003, a new idol brought from Puri was established. After enjoying himself in the morning on the day of bathing procession, Srijagannath came to the bathing altar by pressing the shoulders of the devotees and conquering Pahandi. One hundred and eight kalas bath according to the rituals. Then the Lord stayed behind for fifteen days. On the day before the procession, the devotees get a vision of the Lord again. On the day of the Rath Yatra, Khichuri is offered in the temple in the morning by performing Mangal Aarti and Puja. The state government of Orissa also came forward to make the festival of this Sreejagannath temple in Khidirpur a success. Bhog is cooked here according to the rules of Puri temple. At the end of the eighth day, the Lord returned to the temple. Ekadashi is Sonabesh. After offering Rasgolla on the thirteenth day, after the conquest of Niladri, the Lord ascended to the temple and stayed at the Ratnavedi. Location: - Shrijagannath Dev's temple is a little further on the road opposite Khidirpur Tram Depot. Clean clean. Chakrarail line through the back of the temple. You can go and collect coupons by 12 noon. Also, if you tell the temple authorities, they will give you a coupon ... very tasty food ... which will satisfy your taste buds ... so if the situation is a little normal, visit Lord Jagannath Deva .. start everything in a new way with the blessings of the Lord .. . Surely the shadow of danger in our lives will disappear .. This temple is a kind of a replica of the Puri Jagannath Temple. I loved visiting this place. Some temples are under construction here on the left side of the main Temple. ● Near the entrance u will get a shoe keeping room on the left side. ● just after the first entrance on the left side u will get the drinking water booth and also the wash basins. ● And just near that you will find a little shop for buying idols, "goja"( a special type of sweet desert offered to lord Jagannath), other sweet items, ghee diyas, agarbattis and many more for puja purposes. ● There is also another shop like for buying flower garlands for puja purposes. ■There is a Temple of Lord Mahakaleshwar(Shiva) just a few steps on the right side of the Jagannath Temple. It is such a beautiful Temple. I have attached one picture for the curious people. ☆☆I faced a little issue with the transportation ,so, I will recommend to take either your own car or rent a car. ☆☆

A close to perfect replica of Puri Jagannath temple is located at Khidirpur. It is nearly a systemmatic temple with a serene ambience. Along with Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra, several scriptures of hindu goddesses are placed here. A shoe stand is available here. Prasad available both for eating there (150) and packing (180) - advanced booking recommended. If you are lucky enough, you can get bhog without booking too. Pujas available of different amount Nearest station: Khidirpur Nearest bus stop: Khidirpur tram depot

This Jagannath temple gives a positive vibe and an inner peace. It looks beautiful and serene. I have liked the place but not the outside ambience as it is located in a crowded place.

Khidirpur, Kolkata is well-known for Khidirpur Dock. The dock is one of the oldest facilities in India that is still under use. It serves as the primary shipping centre along the coast for the Kolkata Port Trust. It was during one of the holy dips in the river, King Indradyumn found an iron rod floating. It is believed that Lord Vishnu then whispered to him that the floating rod is his heart, which will remain on the land forever. The king then ran with the rod to Lord Jagannath and placed it in him discreetly. With generous help from numerous devotees a small temple was constructed on 23rd January 1969. Additionally, Khidirpur, Kolkata is home to many historical landmarks, including Bardhaman Maharajas Palace, the National Library, and the Bhu Kailash Temple (Rajbari). The Sundarbans National Park is another great feature of Khidirpur Kolkata. The park is a recognised heritage site by UNESCO.

I did visit the temple on a Sunday afternoon. For every one who is unable to visit Puri, from Bengal can easily visit this place. Some good facts: i) There were no demand of money/dakshina. There were donation boxes kept, and if you wish you can donate, which is very different from Puri Jagannath Temple. ii) For bhog Prasad, you need to book in advance before a day/ more. You can either collect the parcel/sit & eat. Rs180/- Parcel Rs150/-Sit & eat Jai Jagannath 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Shri Jagannatha Temple is located near Kidderpore Tram Depot within the compound of East Yard Kolkata Port Trust. The present temple built in style of Puri temple is the result of years of hard work and financial assistance of many devotees. Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannatha, Shri Balabhadra, Devi Shubhdra and Sudarshan Chakra are worshipped daily keeping with the tradition and rituals observed at Puri. Various Puja-Parvana associated with the Lords are also observed round the year. Devotees who come to the shrine get Mahaprasad in the temple and can also take home for their friends and relatives. The Holy Ratha Yatra or Car Festival of Mahaprabhu is celebrated every year amidst much fanfare. People who reside in the city of Kolkata and the suburbs come in hordes to have darshan of the Lord in Chariot. This sacred place has come to be popularly known as Srikhetra or Jagannath Dham of Kolkata.

Worth visiting from the religious point of view. Mahaprasad is delectable and fresh. The main drawback is the location and the administration. Really disappointed at their behaviour and arrangements for collecting prasad coupons as well as visiting the main temple. No discipline. No clear-cut rules. And people clamouring amongst themselves in that small area. As for collecting the Mahaprasad, call them one day ahead and memorize your coupon no.

Jaggarnath Mandir is always a place to visit for spiritual peace. This place may be located one corner of the city but you can easily reach and have the mahaprasad with the blessings of the Lord.

A very fine place to visit for the pilgrims as well as for casual visitors. It is situated in Khiderpore area (borough 77/78) of Kolkata and is just a replica of Puri, Jagannath temple. Guest House facilities,(a/c and non a/c) are also available. You can enjoy Prasad as lunch and dinner on payment of Rs150/- per meal. On line booking for Prasad and GH accommodation are available. All Puja rituals are solemnly observed. Just adjacent to this temple you will find another temple called Mahakaleshwar .

This temple is identical to Puri Jagannath Temple. Near Bhukailash Temple. If you don't like too much crowd and want to offer a prayer to Lord Jagannath this is the ideal place. Apart from Lord Jagannath, Balaram and Devi Subhadra there are idols for other Gods and Goddesses as well inside the temple area on the second floor.

This Jagannath Mandir is situated near Khidderpore tram depot & beside chakra rail station. It is a good place for family visit. Mandir authority tries to follow the rules of great Puri Temple. As there is no specific car parking zone, one has to avail road side parking. Vog prasad may be taken with prior permission over phone on the previous day. Number is available at the site. Anybody may search Google for more details.

Beautiful temple of Lord Jagannath, Balaram & Subhadra. Located near Khidirpur circular railway station. The temple is built in imitation of Puri Jagannath temple but smaller in size. One thing is that the temple is on the second floor which means you have to go up the stairs. There is a shop on the ground floor from where you can buy puja items. For 'Bhog' prasad you have to book over telephone a day before you visit the temple.

Absolutely hidden treasure amidst densely populated area of KHIDIRPUR. As this unbelievably spectacular piece of architecture is located adjacent to Eastern boundary of Kolkata Port Trust, Dock area, interested travellers may found it difficult to locate. But once, you enter the premises of the temple, you will be simply mesmerized with the calm and quite, devine ambience of the temple. Very clean, well maintained temple, still growing up with many small temples within main premises. There are arrangements for having Mahaprasad in this temple. Nice devotional songs will lead youe heart into a devine atmosphere. Deity of Jagannath, Balaram, Subhadra and the other sculptures of different Avatars in the main temple side are wonderful. A nice place to visit.

Nestled amidst the vibrant streets of Kolkata, I had the privilege of experiencing the serenity and spirituality of the Jagannath Temple. From the moment I stepped foot inside its hallowed premises, I was captivated by the tranquil atmosphere and the devout energy that enveloped the temple. The patachitra at the ceiling of the main sanctum will surely amazed you.
