A fine and joyful dining experience. I went there for my 8yr wedding anniversary and boy did this place deliver. Great food , big flavour with good service. The menu price might be a bit high but believe me it is worth it. Highly recommend for family dining, dates, hanging out with mates You haven’t seen in awhile or coworker dinner.

One of the best indian restaurant in South dublin. This restaurant serves delicious indian food and has amazing ambience. They have a vegetarian and non vegetarian thali which is must try. I had vegetarian thali which comes with 5 gravys/ currys. I got chole, aalo, kofta, paneer and mix vegetables along with butter naan and pulav with shrikhand. This was the best vegetarian thali i had in Dublin. Ambience is good and they also have big tables for parties and birthdays. They also have a early bird menu with 29 euro for 2 course meal and 35 euro for 3 course meal. Location is very good and after food one can have a walk at dun Laoghaire beach. They also have adrak masala chai it was not in menu but on my request they prepared it. Food was extremely delicious and staff was very friendly. I will return again for their vegetarian thali 😃

This is an amazing place for good food with fine dining. If you’re a non vegetarian, must try masahari nalli. vegetarian thali was amazing as it had a lot of good varieties, but the other non vegetarian options were equally luscious. Place has some really good deserts. I’d recommend kulfi and cheesecake. Place is nicely maintained by the owner Nisheeth who is a very friendly and fun loving host. Their staff is very cooperative. Definitely worth a try, highly recommended.

Amazing is an understatement for this place, couldn't explain to ourselves on why we hadn't dined here earlier. The ambience and the food are both top notch and as authentic as they can be. Great team serving you as well. Kudos!

We visited Rasam on a weekday evening - the atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was excellent. All members of staff were equally attentive and very welcoming. The food was super - we enjoyed duck rolls, calamari and butter chicken. Each were delicious. We will definitely be back.

Myself and a group of friends had an absolutely stunning meal tonight. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is gorgeous. However it is the food and service which is out of this world. The young man serving us was the best server I’ve ever seen in action - so so professional, efficient and friendly. The food was just perfection with every element perfectly balanced. I couldn’t recommend a visit enough and applaud the team working there for creating such memorable evenings.

RASAM I recently dined at Rasam in Sandycove and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. It Ticks my Halal Options for chicken and lamb. 100% Halal Certified. The restaurant had a lovely ambiance, with tasteful decor and a cozy atmosphere. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and accommodating. As for the food, I thoroughly enjoyed most of the dishes I ordered. Starters: The Trio Chicken 3/5 Prawns starter 5/5 they were delicious, and the presentation was visually appealing. Main Courses: The Butter Chicken 4/5 Lamb Curry 3/5 Prawns Curry 4/5 They were flavorful, well-balanced, and exceeded my expectations. We left some lamb pieces in the plate as it wasn’t that soft and was chewy but the taste balanced it out. The Curd raita was unexpectedly delicious. Rice, and Butter Naan complemented the curries perfectly. For dessert, I ordered the Brownie 5/5 Pannacota 5/5 Kulfi 5/5 They were all indulgent and satisfying. Well dressed with strawberries and some kesar powder to balance spice and citrus. Overall, I personally would give Rasam 4 out of 5 stars. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the ambiance was lovely. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score is that some dishes were not as exceptional as the others. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend Rasam to anyone looking for a fine dining experience. As the hospitality was at its best. By Farhan Shaikh

Delicious and with very attentive service. The food was good and flavoursome. Even if the place had all the tables booked it didn't feel busy at all. They make the best peshwari naan we ever tried. A highly recommended place for Indian food.

Our very first visit to Rasam and really amazed by the food, ambience and service. Every dish we ordered was very delicious and authentic Indian taste. Nisheeth uncle treated us as Family, Laxmanan was understanding to our needs and taste palates. We got chance to meet the entire team of Rasam and everyone was so humble and welcoming. Rasam gonna be our favourite place to go for going forward. Cheers Team Rasam 😊

Delicious food, butter chicken was my favourite, beautiful ambience, loads of European people. Everything was great, we took one thali and lamb curry with some rice separately. The guy didn't tell us a portion of the rice and the same curry is included in the thali as well and we ended up getting two portions of each. But it's worth experiencing 🤤

Great ambience, mouthwatering delicacies, courteous staff, a smiling host who greets and seats you and pays attention to the fine details. I was blown away by my experience at Rasam. A "jewel" in Glasthule on the intersection of Adelaide and Glasthule Road. The claim "Best Indian restaurant in Dublin" is fully justified. Pricey? yes, but you get your moneys worth by way of best tasting food and wines, great service and ambience. I know I already said that but its worth repeating. Enjoy! I am already looking forward to my next visit to Dublin and Rasam!

This is definitely some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had! It is no surprise why this restaurant has so many awards. My wife and I had early bird special and had a 3 course meal for only 35 Euros. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. If you are in the area, you should absolutely visit Rasam.

We're always looking for new places to eat and Indian food being one of our favourites, we decided to give Rasam a try. We weren't disappointed. It was quite delicious! They have a very good list of Gluten Free options on the menu which is great to see, take note restaurateurs, there's no excuse not to have gluten free options these days.

One of the most divine meals I’ve ever had. The staff and chefs were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The food was to dream of. When you come to Rasam for dinner, it will become a cherished memory for both the meal, atmosphere and experience. I had the aubergine and beetroot chicken — but I had the most difficult time picking what I wanted from the menu! I wanted one of all of the items listed. I could tell that each plate was crafted with care and tenderness. All of the poultry, fish, and meat is sourced from Ireland — you will have a locally sourced, too quality meal. I cannot wait for my next meal at Rasam and try all of the delicious and divine options on the menu.

We ordered aloo tikki crispy corn and bhindi teen mirch for starters. For mains we ordered, khade masale ki nalli, old delhi butter chicken and garlic, onion, coriander naan along with mango lassi. The khade masale ki nalli was an absolute winner. The lamb pieces were so tender and succulent. It just melts in your mouth and fulls your mouth with flavours of khada masala (whole spices). I have never tasted such splendid lamb anywhere in Dublin and would surely recommend it to anyone who wants to try lamb meat. Aloo tikki crispy corn is okay. I was expecting more sweet and sour flavour in it. Bhindi mirch is a typical bhindi masala and tastes homemade. Old delhi butter chicken and garlic onion coriander naan are good. Naan is just like what you would get in India, thinner slices of buttery flatbread filled with lots of garlic, onion and coriander. The service is very friendly and food was served in short time. As it was my anniversary that day, the restaurant offered us free desserts. I would surely recommend everyone to try this restaurant especially for the khade masale ki nalli.

I've eaten in more Restaurants than I care to mention ,I've tasted food from every corner of this planet but to say The Food was Aromatic,Tasty,Plentiful,Freshly Prepared and Served to you as if you were a God would do it no Justice what so ever no fanciful words could describe the Culinary Experience my Taste Buds got.Food for the Heart . You would be Mad not to Try this Restaurting Experience ,The Jewel in Dunlaoighre that is Rasam . Thank you for the Experience we will be back.

Ambience wise it's good, lamb could have been cooked more perfectly it was bit more chewy we felt, chicken trio platter was good , we also ordered daal which was perfect.. on other chicken dishes we felt it was on sweet though we asked for spicy... hospitality was very well managed. Should include more dishes... Had more expectations than what we received in the food side...

Elegant, fresh and clean dining areas, courteous, helpful and personable staff. Nice and tasty range of Indian cuisine accompanied by Indian beer of International wines. I found the portions are modest, particularly the starter - taster platter shared by four of us. Not an inexpensive restaurant but was a lovely treat.

We went for the early bird menu. The butter chicken and naan were great. the server recommended we order prawn curry if we wanted something spicy. Sadly, the prawn curry was not spicy at all (even by non Indian standards) and the salt in the dish was for an Irish palette. Despite asking for table salt (embarrasingly since I don't like to point errors in restaurants) I never got it. We had kulfi for dessert and it was served hard frozen straight out of the refrigerator. We had to wait for a while before we could have it eventually. I had been really looking forward to my first time given how much I have heard about rasam from my Irish friends but it just didn't feel like an authentic Indian experience. I will definitely give it another shot and edit this review if I change my mind :)

Went here with family for Fathers Day. Staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. Restaurant was well designed and had lovely furniture and tables/chairs. Food was tasty and varied in flavours and options. Had Chilli Pork to start with Butter Chicken as the main, both included in pictures. Garlic naan bread is also pictured. All dishes were delicious, cooked with fresh ingredients, and were presented wonderfully. Dishes were ever so slightly spicy, but I could imagine that for some people who are sensitive to spice, it may be a bit much. The total bill came to €180 for 4 mains, 2 starters, 2 naan bread, 2 rice, 1 side, and a bottle of Vino Verde. The only complaint from the evening is that the venue isn't particularly well ventilated to handle the hotter side of the Irish weather. At times, it felt like we were sitting next to a furnace. Apart from that, experience was great, and I would recommend the restaurant very highly.

Amazing service before and after our meal. They were able to meet my allergy needs when most people won’t. It was appreciated. The food was excellent and everyone was super lovely. The only critique I’d give was a bit more salt in the food but it was remedied with a salt shaker. Loved it!

Rasam is just not a restaurent, its an experience which one start to feel from entrance. The music, ambience, overall feel of the place is just so authentic and does justice to this Indian cuisine experience. The service is top notch, even on a busy night I never had to even look once for the service, before you can think off, you are served!! I have never tasted better Indian food even in India. This is true representation of Indian food. The Thali’s presentation was so beautiful it just makes you instantly hungry. I would like to return again and again in this restaurent!!

I've been here twice now. The first time was great, some of the best indian i've ever had. Ate here again yesterday and it was very subpar and disappointing. The meat was overly tough, tiny portion of naan and a weird texture to the rice. Dessert and the starter (pork chilli fry) was good. Hopefully it was just a once off but I won't be returning.

Food was tasty but the shrimp dish had a large bowl with 5-6 small shrimp in it. Above average but not the best Indian food encountered.

Nice restaurant with great ambiance. Some dishes were great as chef customised it as per our taste. My best pick was the chapati as I never had chapati of that quality in Dublin. Kairi bhindi was bit disappointing as it had no salt. Overall it is a very nice restaurant.

everything is just perfect. just dont understand why they give kids qunatity. man the quantity is so less that 1 person has to order 2 main dishes. due to quantity, its super super expensive. per person around 40 bucks

Best Indian in Dublin! We've been here a few times, and never disappointed. Modern and inventive take and classic Indian food. Must try!

  • 3/5 Akshay C. 5 years ago on Google
The place did not meet all my expectations as a foodie well versed with north and south Indian cuisine. The service: The waiter we got assigned, brown skinned bald dude little towards his 30s was not a proficient chap. With a miliion eye rolls and him trying to get us to order as to his liking as a bunch of pushovers(which didn't work obviously!), the only reason I tipped 50 bucks is due to the waiters who served us the food were so nice. The food: Likes: The desserts were amazing! The dhal and rice were very tasty. Palak curry was decent. Dislikes: Most curries were not authentic as expected like for example the malai kofta was sweet and so were the murgh curries. My take, there are better places that you can go to which aren't as fancy as this one but serve much better food! And if you want to do something fancy, go to Ananda which is a bit more expensive but you will not complain.

Probably the best indian meal I've ever had in Ireland..authentic flavours. Delicious..good house bottle of red..reasonably priced ..not cheap..but worth it...over the Eagle house pub in Glasthule..ten minutes from dalky on sandycove road...highly recommend it.

Food is excellent but the portions aren't great and there's a good chance of being brought the wrong dishes after a looong wait for it. Front of house service is terrible and really let's down an otherwise good kitchen.

  • 2/5 Robin S. 4 years ago on Google
The food was super disappointing and with one of the mains being almost awful. The cost for the mains and what they were - I was expecting a lot more (almost double takeaways price with less flavor). Based on all the reviews we went to visit and were left really let down. Maybe it was a bad night... Pricing puts it on par with anada from dundrum which is really a whole different experience. I do have to say the service was great and really friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself was relaxed. The service really keeps this from 1 star. I would absolutely not recommend going here for a main meal.

  • 1/5 Michael K. 4 years ago on Google
We were there tonight and we were disappointed. The portions were very small. And pricey. €10.50 for three small pieces of chicken starter. Rice was not included with main courses. And when we got our rice , that too was small. We should have complained , but as we were entertaining guests , we didn't . We won't be back.

We had a work meal of around 20 people and I have to say the service was fantastic. The food was second to none with delicious wine to wash it down! But my favourite part of the meal was the waiting team, their sense of humour was so on point, they made us all feel very welcome. Finally, the decor is warm, atmospheric and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family! Thank you ??
