First experience of Indian fine dining. Contemporary food with some twist. Service was impeccable and everyone couldn’t do enough. Nice atmosphere with the food being the focus. The food was interesting. Tasty in parts and amazingly presented. Did it have the wow factor. Not sure it did. It was good, some was very good but not enough things were very good. Maybe I needed to try something different but as a group we had quite a lot of different dishes. I’d go again and try other things. It’s expensive but a nice treat. Worth a try but be ready not to be blown away.

Very nice experience and very tasty food, everything we ordered is in the photos, except for the Basil chicken chops. Everything we ordered is recommended. Also, some of us ordered prawns from the starter but they are not my style. However, who tried it says it is good. The gulab Jamon was good too.

Best Indian restaurant in London?? Across 9 dishes the texture of every protein, carb, grain was cooked to perfection. The flavours were incredibly warming and yet they kept you guessing at each turn. We ordered the Scallops, lamp chops, prawns, duck, baby potatos, mustard spinach, lamb Rogan Josh, Kerala prawn, chicken biryani and garlic naan. While the scallops could have relied less on the incredible sauce, the potatoes were a little over salted and the chicken biryani a tad plainer than we've tasted, the remaining dishes were a HUGE sensation for the pallette. The lamb chops, prawns and duck starters were standout and should not be missed. The Kerala prawn was the better of the two curries and the spinach was deliciously pungent and provided a great contrast. Don't expect too much from the somewhat inexperienced service (no timely welcome, delays in taking orders, serving drinks and clearing dishes), let the food do the talking and this is a clear 5 star rating. Edit: Also ordered the pomegranate and passionatefruit granita (crushed ice with sugar and flavouring) for desert and was served an Indian donut as a birthday treat. Both tasty and wrapped up our meal well. They also have a gorgeous private room downstairs for larger groups.

I’ve been here a few times but over 7-8 years ago and always remembered their food being amazing. I suggested this place to celebrate a friends birthday and boy it did not disappoint. They have kept the same (if not better) standard, taste, ambience and flavour! We ordered the tasting menu and it was just unreal. I got the veggie one and each dish was literally ‘melt in the mouth’. My friends also said that the meat dishes were really tender and delicious. The cocktails were also awesome especially the lychee and rose martini. The service was faultless. A lot of people say that you can’t find a good authentic fine dining/Michelin Indian restaurant but I disagree. This food definitely was authentic and very filling. I would highly recommend Amaya. It’s just perfect.

I loved the restaurant and I think that everyone who likes Indian food will love it too. The meat was perfectly grilled and seasoned, lamp chops are a must - even if you are not a fan of lamp. In general all the food tasted authentic and it was well presented. I would recommend getting some small dishes and enjoy them by sharing. Even if you are a biriyani fan, don't stick to it and try to experience as much as you can from the menu. The only downside for me would be the desserts. They were not at the same level as the main food. Kulfi texture was great but nothing special, also the cheesecake, even though it was good, there was no real subcontinental twist in it, just the jalebi on top. In conclusion, it was a great experience! I would like to visit again!

The quality of food was quite good. Biryani lamb was OK, but it was pretty basic for a * Michelin, for any good Indian restaurant really - meat was surprisingly dry. Senior staff was phenomenal, but Junior staff gave away a lack of training, certainly not what's expected of a starred establishment. Service felt rushed in a way, maybe because everything comes hot of the grill. We finished the dinner in less than an hour, not because we're fast eaters. Overall, it was a nice experience, but not likely to come back.

Best Indian Restaurant in London by far. Very tasty food. They have some excellent service team. They offer some very well sized business lunch as well - which can be well recommended. You of course choose the vegetarian or non vegetarian option and the restaurant does the best. The ambiance is very nice and corner tables by the glass is a good place to sit.

Wonderful evening at Amayas. We loved the tapas-style menu. Food and service were excellent but you would expect that with a Michelin restaurant and the prices that go along with it. That said it was worth every penny. We had the cabbage salad, prawns, scallops, black pepper chicken tikka as tapas. The sauce with the scallops was amazing. Get the Truffle naan. It was so good we had two orders. We also had a chicken Biryanis but I would skip the larger dishes and have more tapas. It was great as week but I love the variety with the tapas. We will definitely go back!

A great fine dining Indian restaurant. The quality and taste of food was incredible. The ambience and decor was tasteful for a high end place. Service staff was very courteous and prompt. Lack of innovative dishes knocks off a star. Other than that we had a memorable experience.

OVERPRICED and definitely doubt the Michelin star! The drinks were not served in the right glassware. The beer was served in a wine glass and an old fashioned was served in an absolute incorrect way with a horrible taste! We asked for indri whiskey and the bartender made it too strong that we couldn’t even have it! The food was super small in quantity however the lamb chops were allright but a bit sweet! The service waiter didn’t have much know how about the recommendation and drinks! The cocktails are also just ok as I have some of the brilliant cocktails in a very cheaper restaurants in London! I doubt there Michelin star as overall experience was not of a Michelin star restaurant l! Please don’t waste your money here!

The ambiance is lovely and the staff welcoming, attentive and professional. The food was beautiful, an array of flavour explosions that keep you wanting to try more. We enjoyed the dinner and would recommend this anyone, vegetarian or not. Don't miss out if you have the opportunity to go, it won't disappoint!

I loved this place so, so much. This was my first ever experience at a Michelin star restaurant and I wasn't sure if it would all be overblown hype, but everything from the cocktails to the food to the service and the ambiance was just perfect. Now I am just sad that I live in America and can't come back every month :( Thank you Amaya for an amazing dinner.

Went two weeks ago for lunch with the kids and they told us at the door we cannot bring our kids in. We could come in without them. Yeah, right, I'll leave my children outside of the restaurant... That was very disappointing especially as the restaurant was completely empty at that time - even two hours later when we walk passed it. We then went to Zafferano, around the corner. They were very welcoming as oppose to Amaya. I'd understand if it's in the evening, but on the weekend at lunchtime is ridiculous. We have been to Amaya before we had kids several times and liked it. Thought we can have a great experience again this time with kids, but we are not allowed. Shame on you!

Went there with colleagues after a hectic day for a dinner . We were a group of 10 people. Lovely ambience, courteous staff . Amazing collection of drinks. We like their early arrivals dishes (starters) on the menu more than the currys. Overall great food with quality service.

One of the finest Indian restaurants in London. Great atmosphere where (depending on your table) you can also see the chefs at work. Nice range of dishes - particularly liked the tandoori prawn and the biryani, but the absolute stand-out was the lamb sushi! It made me wonder why it hadn’t been done before! Excellent service and good cocktails rounded off a wonderful evening.

Way more innovative in dishes than Gymkhana, we had a the tasting menu which was delicious. Cocktails were lovely. Chicken mari tikka was the best, would definitely return! It was my birthday and I love gulaab jamun so they added that on also!

Probably some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had. The coconut sea bass was the star of the show here, it was just so perfectly prepared. Not to mention the absolutely stellar service! For fine dining, there was zero pretentiousness about it and portions were fair. Loved it!

This is a great place to experience a different variety of indian cuisine. Well-defined menu, and it is worth trying out different items. Black pepper chicken, Grilled seabass, spinach tikki with spiced fig were good. Grilled items are the specialities here. The ambiance is good to experience a calm and peaceful time with family. Staff is also great and very helpful. The desserts are good. We ordered panna cotta and that was the perfect end of the wonderful dinner. I would like to visit this place again.

Very happy with our overall experience on Sunday night! Food was fantastic. Very well thought out menu and dishes. The flavours and concepts really did justice to Indian fusion which I appreciated. Portions were generous, presentation was elegant, vegetarian set menu was a fantastic idea. In particular our waiter, made the experience that much better, lots of yeses, understood what we were after, and very accommodating! Truly, truly a fantastic all around experience, very deserving of the Michelin star. Will definitely be back!

Have visited here twice. Last visit was on the weekend. Cannot fault the service or food. Always flavourful, and due to seasonal menu it’s always exciting to try something new. We were a full vegetarian crowd and a vegan. They happily catered and altered dishes to meet our requirements.

Amaya , I mean what a restaurant. Amaya is know for being one of the best Indians in London if not THE BEST. The vibe and ambiance of this place is always on fire and is always packed out . For starters we had 2 variations of chicken tikka ( black pepper and malai ) they were both phenomenal but the black pepper chicken tikka is a must try when going to Amaya , the chicken was packed with flavour and soft as butter with juices flowing out of the meat like an Amazon river . The lamb chops also packed a punch with flavour and tender to the bone . The tikka broccoli was ok as it didn’t have much flavour and I expected it to be more soft although it did have a nice yoghurt sauce accompanying it . For mains we had a lamb curry as well as daal which is an Indian classic . The lamb curry could’ve been better as it was a bit on the tomatoey side and wasn’t as tender as I would’ve liked it to have been . The daal was ok , didn’t have much flavour and personally recommend. That being said I would give these guys a 4/5 stars as majority of the food was good except the curries , that being says this restaurant is a grill and bar suggesting they don’t specialise in curries .

As a vegan the food was nasty. Would not recommend. The service was poor and took a long time to receive your order. The staff did not make clear what was vegan and ended up eating non plant based food. Really upsetting. Avoid for vegans.

Amazing food, lovely professional service and great ambience. We ordered mandarin goats cheese salad, chicken parcels, duck, venison kebabs, seafood platter biriyani and chocolate rasmalai. The food is prepared in stages and set accordingly to the time it takes to cook. You can choose how many pieces you get per order as well.

Delightful dining experience, and the only fine-dining Indian cuisine I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Plan on 4-5 courses including dessert. The seafood platter is a can’t miss. Nice concise wine list as well, with a few unexpected gems that pair with some of the spicier foods.

My favourite Indian restaurant in London. They change the menu regularly and have introduced more of a tapas style selection. The finishes/garnishes to each dish, vegetarian choices and generous portion sizes makes it one of the best.
