For many years, we drove past this place or talked about it with other people, only to finally make reservations for the entire family before we looked at Christmas lights in the plaza. It was a special night for our family. Our annual Christmas lights walk, with pictures and hot cocoa. Everyone told us how good Indian Creek Steakhouse was. Well, tonight must not have been the night to go! We were very disappointed. The table was not ready when we got there. Honestly, I get that, but when your restaurant personnel act as if we are inconveniencing you because you have to rearrange an area for people to eat (they had a private party cancel at the last minute, and they had to move tables), that is a problem. Then we got seated, and during the drink order, we were rushed by the server to tell her what we want, only to wait for about 20 min for the drinks to show up. When she brought the drinks up for the two different tables without a tray, as she attempted to place my drink on the table, all four drinks tilted and she ended up spilling my husband’s drink on my clothing, and onto an adjacent chair which had my purse, a child’s coat and my daughter’s iPod. After that fiasco, it took another 20 minutes to get the food order in and approximately 45 min to an hour later to receive entrees. We were told about the big party on the other side of the restaurant, the busy game room and packed band areas, and how they had to move things around where we were sitting to accommodate us. Again. it felt like we created an inconvenience for them, as she said it was good we were able to fit you in. It’s not like we didn’t have a reservation…they only knew about us coming to the restaurant for about two weeks now. We were told that they have four kitchens. Apparently one the them doesn’t know how to cook shrimp since my expensive plate had raw shrimp comingling with my somewhat cooked steak. I have pictures of the seasoned cold, gray shrimp. It didn’t help that the rest of my meal was cold as well. Beans were cold. Steak was lukewarm at best, with a bloody middle for “medium”. Mashed potatoes were cold, with sour cream when I specifically asked for no sour cream due to an allergy issue. Nice dinner for the mom who never really gets to eat a hot meal (I know you moms out there understand)! Had to take home the protein portion of my meal to cook it properly before I could eat it. In addition, our girls asked for no spice and jalapenos on their nachos, which the restaurant promptly gave them. My husband’s prime rib was not hot either, so I guess he knows how I feel most of the time during dinner. In addition, his drink was very weak, not much of anything in it except for juice. Only our two older children, who ordered pasta got a little bit of a hotter meal. It was a horrible experience. Dinner was expensive for our family of six, and yet so disappointing. Won’t return and definitely will not recommend Indian Creek Steakhouse to others.

Rural style steakhouse in downtown Caldwell has a bit of a roadhouse feel with main dining area connected to an expansive bar, live music area. Huge projection TV and pool table as well. Decorated throughout with a western, hunting theme. Our party of 7 was greeted and seated immediately. Was impressed to see an open fire grill and the aroma was great. Waited a bit for my drink order that came incorrectly. Appetizers of fried pickles, cheese curds, and fried prawns were all tasty. Main courses of steak, fried steak fingers, and chicken. The steak was a bit subpar as reviews from the table included overdone fillet, and dry ribeye. The steak fingers were tough to bite through and chewy. Downtown Caldwell felt festive with the Holiday lights still up. Although it was impressive to see so many cars downtown Caldwell on a Tuesday night, parking was a bit of a challenge.

Expensive, not clean and bad service. Finger steaks are good. Only positive. Took the server 10 minutes to give us menus. They just want to sell alcohol. They struggle at refiling water. Took them 45 minutes to deep fry chicken tenders and finger steaks. That is horrible. Boneless chicken wings are way over priced. litterally just chicken nuggets some were super tiny. At $1 a pop i wasn't impressed. No sides were included, offered or suggested by waiter. Place over all is just messy and not cleaned very well. Cant tell you how many forks i saw on the ground. That is disgusting. I am not impressed. Even with so called employee shortages. When you watch a waiter litterally spend 15 minutes lowering his friends bill in exchange for trade of some pair of Michael Jordan shoes it is just sad. His manager didn't care.

Gross. Gross. Gross. Gross. Came in with my family, and the experience wasn't pleasant. The food was good, but with the disarray of the bathrooms, i doubt it was sanitary in the kitchen. The staff didn't know our table when we got there, and throughout the whole night they forgot our drinks, and gave us the wrong order. Their menus were covered in gross sticky stuff, too. The (banquet) bathrooms were a MESS. There was water all over the floor, and they hadn't even put the paper towels in the container. The soap was just a sauce bottle, btw, not okay. The men's bathroom didn't even have toilet paper, and one of the stalls didn't lock.

Right when I walked in I got greeted with hellos and smiles. Staff all very nice. Fries not crispy but they are freshly made. Fried pickles are pretty good. My favorite was the salad. Had it with blue cheese dressing was a bit mild but not bad.

UNBELIEVABLY BAD SERVICE! I went to the Steak House last night with my sister, her husband and my nephew. The Steak House has been a favorite of ours since we found it after my wife passed away from cancer in late 2016. They have always had awesome service and food. Until the last 2 or 3 times we went there. Food quality has slipped a bit, and service has become abysmal. Last night we got seated and ordered some draft beers. Our server came back in about 10 minutes and said they were out of the draft we wanted. She told us what they had and we reordered. Another 10 minutes, sorry we are out of that beer as well. Reordered again. Another 10 minutes, our drinks arrive and we order dinner. The server advised my sister (her birthday, and a celebration of mine and my brother in law's) that they are out of Salmon. OK, that happens. She asks if they have prime Rib, yes we do. About 10 - 15 minutes later she comes back and says they are out of the ribs my brother in law ordered. He chooses something else. Another 15 minutes later, our server returns and tells my sister that they are out of prime Rib. By now I see that my steak and my Nephews burger have been up for about 20 minutes. We decide to just leave. No way I'm going to pay $45 for a stone cold steak or burger! We said we would pay for our drinks. The were upset that we wanted to leave because food we had ordered was ready. (some of it anyway) They also tried to charge us for a drink my sister had ordered but hadn't gotten. No manager came to talk to us. There was absolutely no communication between the kitchen and the servers! Reminiscent of the last time we ate there. The steak house has been a very favorite of ours, but no longer! We won't be going back, and will be spreading the word to go somewhere else for a steak! Happy Trails! Do yourself a favor and ride on by the Indian Creek Steakhouse!

This was our first, and possibly last, time eating at Indian Creek Steakhouse. Food was good. Atmosphere: Interior decor is very western and rustic (which is not a bad thing, especially since after all it IS a steakhouse) but what really bothered us in the atmosphere category was how uncomfortably cold it was inside. My wife had to go to our car and get a fleece blanket so she could stay warm. Service: was good, however this is where we really felt ripped off. The waiter as they took our order asked if we wanted a vegetable and we both got asparagus. The waiter never told us that there is an 'upcharge' for adding a vegetable to the entree, we just figured it was included. My wife meal was $5 extra and mine was $2 (that because what they don't tell you is that my meal would have come with a baked potato but since I changed it to a veggie, they were basically swapping out the cost of the baked potato for the cost of the asparagus). There is no mention on the menu that adding a side vegetable to a meal cost more, just that if you want a trip to the salad bar it is $5 We didn't say anything at the time, because it was a celebration dinner for us on our anniversary, but we probably won't go back because we feel this lack of communicating between wait staff with the customers about the cost of adding/swapping out of sides is shady at best and we do all that we can to avoid going to and sending people to those kinds of establishments.

Update October 2022: Had fantastic service and their ribeye steak was delicious along with their carrot cake 🍰. Ordered their top-shelf looking Island and they did a fantastic job on that too. Update 2021: Went there today for a burger which looked really good but it was way over cooked and fries full of grease. :( Amazingly big party house! Had an absolute blast there for New Years Eve party with a fantastic band and great people. We did try try their Rocky Mountain Oysters...1st time experience and certainly wasn't for us. Our friends said they weren't cooked right but either way...1st and last time for eating one for us. The service and atmosphere were fantastic!

This is a hidden gem in the middle of a road trip. Their food is nothing short of amazing, kobe beef was cooked great. Drinks were very tasty. This place is absolutely huge. Don't let any of the photos foul you. I walked around with a waitress and she let me take photos of each room. It is huge! Ask about the high end drinks, you won't be disappointed. Each of of my photos is from a completely different room.

Voted one of best stake houses in Idaho by me and my family. The atmosphere here is #1. Located in historic downtown Caldwell in a building that seems to be 100 years old it is awesome. They cook meat over a wood fired grill. Today I had a salad and tri tip. Was incredible. I think the ranch dressing is homemade. This is a must do. Live music on Friday nights Omg i had the 24 oz sirloin today. It was delicious and huge. One of best steaks I have ever had

Love the restaurant’s atmosphere and music. Seems like a great place for a date night ☺️ Menu is pricey to go with the kiddos, we went during happy hour (2pm-6pm) so not to bad, $5 nachos, $8 burgers, which were great 👍🏼 we also ordered the 1/2rack of beef ribs there were nice and juicy.

Service was a little slow i’d say and the food wasn’t THAT great. I got salmon and a fully loaded baked potato and i did enjoy those! The water though, the worst tap i’ve ever tasted

This place would be considered good if you were to live in a population 500 town, and it was the only restaurant within 100 square miles. The service was weird… the waitress was new (I gave her so much grace) and to start, she couldn’t confirm if the bar was able to make cocktails that were on their menu, told us about her eye that hurt and that she needed to switch us out with someone else, talked about how she finds it weird when people order medium prime rib… I could go on. Then, the kitchen is out of mashed potatoes and therefor we had to pick a different side of… potatoes? Interesting. The salad was a giant pile of thick, essentially uncut lettuce. When the food came out, the baked potato wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter. Texas roadhouse is a far better option, which isn’t saying much. And please understand that this is a very condensed version.

I love the atmosphere here. That's the first thing that caught my eye. Food was very good. I had the finger steaks, a friend had the pork nachos, and another friend ordered the pork chop. All tasted excellent. Adriana was an excellent waitress! Thank u Adriana! Would recommend for a good meal and fun western charm!

The waitress was nice enough. But she said we ordered a second round of drinks. There was four of us and none of us ordered another round. Besides one person would not speak for the whole table. That was an extra $23.00. My husband also ordered a medium prime rib and it was rare had to have it taken back and put on the grill again.

This place is an absolute blast! They have the best of both worlds with the bar and live music upstairs, and a quiet dining section downstairs. We were seated at this really classy downstairs bar with higher end bourbons and tequilas which we love- it was quiet and the bartender was so knowledgeable. He really went out of his way to make sure we were having a good time. The food was phenomenal. However...I have absolutely no idea why- but one of their servers came downstairs with her giant tray of silverware and sat literally right next to me, not even a chair over or at one of the tables behind me or outside the bar area- and loudly started doing her closing work of rolling silverware. Being a former server it really killed it for me because we were having such a relaxing evening- so we left. It's 100% worth the drive and we will definitely be back, hopefully they go over basic dining,/hosting manners with some of their servers before then.

Only giving two stars because when I first got there it took them forever to check me out when I ordered to go! The hostess had an attitude. The food is exactly what the girl on the phone said bar food. The French dip and the dipping sauce extremely salty. The fries needed to be cooked longer.

This place is great for a family dinner! Came in on a Monday night with my family. They were short handed but still made us feel like the main customer. Staff were very attentive and we were able to be seated right away. Wine list is short but diverse. Cocktail menu looks wild - we didn't try it but there were some interesting items to say the least. Steaks and burger were fantastic. Loaded baked potatoes were wonderful as well. Chocolate cake was excellent. Atmosphere was comfortable and laid back. Will definitely return!!

Do you love prime rib? Don’t get one here. I ordered the 16oz prime rib rare. And I got the butt end. Ha! Anyone that know prime rib, knows the butt is the most cooked, dry, and chewiest piece. And it was. $42 shot, just like that. I did learn the lesson of special requesting not the butt of the prime rib. I’m surprised they don’t just use that part for nachos or something. Sheesh. However, the food wasn’t all bad. The salad, scone, and mashed potatoes and gravy was good. I don’t recommend Indian Creek Steakhouse.

They had a live band playing, and it was pretty entertaining. The food was alright in my book. The nachos surprisingly had enough nacho cheese. I hate when it's mostly chips, lol The stuffed jalapeños were good, but the bacon needed cooked longer. It was almost raw on the inside. Overall, I'd return, and I want to try the steaks next.

Our first visit to Indian Creek, we enjoy dining out 2-3 times a week. We arrived and felt completely out of place, no one was wearing a mask, not one staff member. We both pray we did not contract COVID. The experience I had anticipated was not close to any other upper end steakhouse experience. I was shocked at the level of professionalism (lack of). Waitress pointed fingers and degraded the kitchen staff rather than support. I don’t understand the price, atmosphere and services, they do not align with an upper end Steakhouse?? Post dining, wife inquired if I would go back. Definitely no wow factor, I replied best part was salad and mashed potatoes, we had the filet and ribs.

We had a party of 26 for my sons wedding rehearsal dinner. The entire staff was wonderful. From the initial booking and a couple of changes to the menu and number of people attending to the quality of the food and great bartender, we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

This American Salute to the country way of life is located in the historic town of Caldwell, Idaho. From the outside it looks rather plain, walk inside and you are at home. They pride themselves on their locally grown food. The Steak is excellent! Great menu with alot to choose from. The place is full of surprises from agrest band to mechanical bull riding you are having fun! There are several bars and upstairs has dining and is great for large groups. Have some fun and some great food. Go There, you won't be sorry.

It was New Year's, Saturday. It was a very busy place. Loved the atmosphere. The bartender made a drink upon request she had never heard of. She gave it a shot, and it was very good. Most places wouldn't do that. Our steaks, absolute perfection. It's a great place to eat and gather with friends. We did wait a bit on our food, because of the busy time we picked to go, but, it was well worth the wait. Staff is great! Those kids hustle. We will be back, and recommend everyone try this place out!

The cook on the steak, my wife and I got was perfect and the service was great for being very busy and the staff and our waitress was friendly and made sure we were taken care of as well as our family members they are able to accommodate for wheelchair accessibility if need be but make sure to ask when you make a reservation for downstairs not in the vip room on the second floor.

So I'd never been before and since my boss was buying a coworker suggested we go. First - The place is HUGE! Multiple seating and bar areas including an upstairs where we sat. The building is old and the updates have kept much of that character which was nice to see. It was a Friday about 6pm and I was worried the wait would be long, but we were seated right away and our server was prompt and helpful. I had the Dude (a steak) with fried potatoes and some beans or something in a cup. The steak was cooked perfectly although the cup of stuff wasn't my thing and the potatoes were as expected. Everything was good - but - I couldn't believe the prices. This is easily the most expensive steak house I've been to and honestly I don't feel the quality and quantity matched up. The meal I got was 25.99 (basically the cheapest thing on the menu) and I had water to drink and with 1 appetizer that was.... less than appetizing, our bill was over 85 with no alcohol. I've spent less on far better before so I couldn't imagine spending the 50-80 or more on some of the other items there if the quality matches what I had. The atmosphere is cool, but I'll save my steak money for Texas Roadhouse.

  • 4/5 Camron C. 11 months ago on Google
Meal was pretty good. Had pasta with chicken, a steak, and ribs. Everything was seasoned nicely and cooked pretty well. Only complaints would be that the steak could have had a bit better of a char or sear given the price and that I was surprisingly cramped with little personal space, which is particularly frustrating because of how spacious the dining area was. Would certainly come back.

  • 3/5 Germaine C. 1 year ago on Google
The steakwas good. Just not gr8.the people get a 5 maybe 6 star. But I'm so tired of getting charged more with no explanation in advance. We just charge what we want because of inflation? While the rest of us are expected to post clear honest prices? Its getting really old. Ok really my 16 year old can make a much better steak for 40.00 so step it up. Service is a good ok great.. But I wouldn't eat such an expensive meal there again. Did go back for dinner got a burger.. It was great. And a good value. But more than posted price. At least fix it online that cost nothing. Say if you want exact prices our online is updated to new America prices.

We were in town from Oregon and decided to come here for dinner. We were not disappointed! This place is awesome. Great decor and atmosphere. The staff is fantastic and the food was amazing! I would definitely come back. The cheese curds are really good. My fiance got a steak and said it was really good, and he's picky. The wagyu burger was probably the best burger I've ever had! The staff was on top of everything to. What a great experience!

Well, people kept saying it's good. Tried it for the third time with a different group. Still nothing to rave about. My rare steak came out more medium. And my gf's medium rare came out done, like no pink. Fries were greasy as bacon strips. If I'm paying $50 for steaks. Maybe making them right? Not my go-to steakhouse.

Really great bar and atmosphere. They have a great dance floor which unfortunately was not full. Band hired on the Friday before was good, played 90s with some dancing music. So we decided to go back Saturday; totally disappointed when they played the same tune for three hours straight. Did not know how to play anything but that same old tune and would not take requests. Old country tunes are great... just not for that many songs in a row. Bad call on the booking but great bar potential.

(2017) BEST Prime Rib & Ribeye steaks using Idaho Beef we've ever had grilled to Perfection! (2020) ☆Yr. of the Pandemic Review☆ Other restaurants we've recently dined at the wait staff wore masks for customer safety. We were sadly surprised this 5-Star Restaurant does not, -after our arrival to our reservation. I had been driving 300 miles that day, it'd been 2 yrs since our last visit & we were anxious to eat their Excellent Rib Eye Steaks, so we stayed. Our waitress was top notch! The blue cheese dressing was tasty, but runny. We came for a Ribe Eye Steak. After talking to out waitress, she suggested the "Wrangler", a boneless Very tender, marbled Steak!! We Highly Enjoyed & we too Highly reccomend!! We order Med. Rare & was grilled to Perfection!! -We are now self Quarantining as a precaution to others, as no wait staff were masked- just FYI to those that prefer masked wait staff-

Had dinner with my wife. The prices are outrageous. 16 oz. Prime rib will set you back $34. The 10 oz. Rib eye I had was less than a 1/2 inch thick and cost $23. I ask for medium rare but it was so thin I could tell what it was. If you want a decent size steak you'll be in the $45 range. The seating is terrible, hard chairs and little tables. Waitresses running by you every few minutes. Taste wise the food is OK but NOT worth the high price! Won't be back...

NOT GOING BACK We have gone for 3 years and everything was great until the last year or so. The last two times we've gone, have had bad experiences. They were out of both kinds of beer that we ordered. They were out of the salmon, so I ordered prime rib. Quite a while after we ordered they came and said they were out of the ribs that my husband ordered. Quite a bit later they came and told me that they were out of the prime rib. By then we could see that half of our order was already up. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave and they charged me for the a drink that I hadn't even touched. They were not interested in making it right either. They were actually upset with us for leaving!

I bought a $55 gift certificate for my daughter and son-in-law to have their 10 year anniversary dinner here. They both said the food was great, however, the service was awful. They said they waited 20 minutes before they even knew who their server was. And then another 15 minutes for the server to make it to their table. My daughter says it was not busy and should have received better service. They receive their salads before they even received their water let alone a drink from the bar. My expectation is that at $55, Service is included. Food can be mediocre if service is great. If service is poor then it makes no difference how good the food is; no one will return. My daughter and son-in-law asked me to never buy them another gift certificate for this restaurant. I was very disappointed.

I love the food. Staff is great. Last visit had me feeling some type of way. Got seated in the arcade room, although there where plenty of open tables in the dinning room. But hey the waitresses made my mood from ? to?. So 4 stars.

We had 2 apps-one was inedible so it was sent back to be replaced with it being equally as inedible--a fish bite that was so thin it was not identifiable as fish and a potato skin so greasy that it wasn't finished. Our server was great and delivered food and drinks in a timely manner. We may come back for a beer or a game of pool but the food is not to be eaten

We are new to the area, so we visited for the first time last week. The place is huge and had a much more casual vibe than I expected. It's really more of a bar and entertainment venue that just happens to serve killer steaks. The steaks we had (10 oz. Ribeyes) were well seasoned and perfectly cooked to medium and medium-rare. Happy hour prices were great and the dinners felt like an incredible bargain. Will definitely be coming back often.

First time at this Steakhouse. First time I have ever sent food back and first time I have ever left a google rating. My wife's Prime Rib was terrible, came out tasting like fish. The staff was nice and happily and quickly brought out a replacement. It did not taste like fish but it was bland and seriously didnt taste like anything. The mashed potatoes, were runny and not good. I ordered the Ribeye and it was just ok. Not even close to worth the price. I cant believe how much we spent for bad steaks and one glass of wine. We took home probably 75% of our steaks and tossed them. We dont plan on going back.

Mashed potatoes from a box, bland finger steaks and ridiculous prices.

Is this what "cooked with love and care" means? Open food and blood dripping in the butter? That's disgusting and you should be shut down.

6/29/2020 after seeing the owners reply I called and Dillion invited us back to try again. Tonight we had our kids with us but decided to give it another go. My shrimp was delicious, my son loved the finger steaks, and my husbands steak was cooked perfect! The waitress was friendly and attentive. Thank you Indean Creek! My husband and I went here for the 1st time tonight. We only recieved our waters and 1 shot. Our waiter took our order then never came back for 45 mins. When she returned she said the kitchen didn't get or ticket. We decided to leave she still charged is us for the drinks. Very disappointing! Tonight we

Went tonight for a fundraiser where Caldwell PD were our servers and collected money for Special Oylimpics. Kudos to the establishment for allowing this fundraiser to happen. Now for the food... I had a 1/2 rack of pork ribs. They were tangy and tasted awesome. The French fries were very good as well as the beans and salad. My wife had shrimp prawns that were also awesome. I'd definitely go back.

While this is a pricey place to eat, its local grown beef is excellent! My wife ordered ribs and these were literally 5-6 inches thick and 10 inches long. She had to take half home and it took up half of the large take home container, and almost was too big to close. My prime rib was huge and I bought the small.it was done to perfection. The live band was also excellent and with 3-4 huge rooms allows for discussion if not in the same room as the band.

A little bit pricey but live music on the weekends, quality of food, experience and staff definitely justify the price. Dance floor gets lively on the weekends, all country and southern rock the nights I have visited.

Atmosphere was fantastic, staff was very friendly and knowledge. The food was less than expected. The Kobe Ribeye was thin and therefore difficult to cook medium rare. The filet meat was good not great, but lacked seasoning. Not saying anything was bad, just less than expected.
