Chote lal ghat is one of the oldest ghat in Calcutta...Now a days it is blocked by flower market & hardly visible from road...The ghat is somehow not comfortable place for bathing unlike Babughat,Judgesghat...If u want a Good Photography Of Howrah Bridge this is the place for u...The road to reach here from Borobazar is very very bad..one footbridge is here to cross railine&flower market and also it is very congested area..

This place is best place for the photographers. Early morning many photographers assemble here to take breath taking pictures of iconic Howrah Bridge with Mighty Ganges, It's very near to Flower Market. Hindi movie like Barfi got filmed here. I have visited this place multiple time to take photographs. This place has never disappointed me. This place is photographer's paradise.

This ghat is located right next to the Howrah Bridge. Usually the local people use this ghat. However, at other times (āĻĒā§āĻ°āĻ¤āĻŋāĻŽāĻž)idols of different pujas are sacrificed(āĻŦāĻŋāĻ¸āĻ°ā§āĻœāĻ¨) at this ghat. It is also a beautiful place to take photos.

Nice place. Though a bit dirty but it's the most famous one among all others because of Movie Shoots here.any a Bollywood and Tollywood movies had been shot here. Also, it has a Ancient Akhara where one could find Wrestlers practising during Morning and Evening. A good Photography place for a perfect view of Howrah Bridge.

Great place, this is located beside the famous flower market Mullick Ghat Flower Market. This is the best location for photography. Many Photographers are visiting this location for street photography. Kolkata's famous and iconic bridge is Howrah bridge, you can see clearly from this location. This is the best place to take pictures of howrah bridge. This is another Ghat of river Ganges. Many people take baths on the river Ganga (Ganga Snan) . This is my favourite place. I love to visit this place every time and I do my photography. I have added some of my photography please see theae photos. Here many couples visit for their pre-wedding photo shooting.

(Translated by Google) Chhotelal ki ghat Another ghat under the Rabindra Bridge, on the Hooghly River, is Chhotulal Ghat, or Chhotalal Ki Ghat. The ghat was built by Chhotelal Durga Prasad, a famous lawyer of the Calcutta High Court. There is a story involved in the construction of this ghat. A fakir blessed the childless Chhotelal that if he built a ghat, he would have a son. Really after the establishment of the ghat, he had a son. The architecture of the ghat is a mixture of Hindu and Muslim styles. I saw regular shraddha activities at the ghat, and I saw Gangamati palm and Ganga water being sold. There are many paved places to sit on the bank of the ghat. Many local people are sitting and doing what they want. The ghat premises are fairly clean. But what was fun, seeing my head shaved, two Bihari priests started walking behind me, to do shraddha karma! What a pity! I somehow cut them off! There is a small red temple near the gate outside the ghat, it was very nice to see. There is a wrestling arena on one side of this ghat. I saw three wrestlers doing exercises. I wanted to take a photo face to face, but the camera looked at me in such a way that I thought that if I took a photo after that, I would have to go to the hospital instead of the office tomorrow! So I had to take photos from a long distance to satisfy the taste of milk! There is a bust of Guruji, a famous wrestler in the ghat. (Translated by Google) You can see the Howrah Bridge in the distance. This bridge is longer than you think, and it is more magnificent than you think. The rough eyebrows are clear again... Hey! This river is so dirty! But there are still many people who wash their teeth by the river and save their lives! The most terrifying thing is that there is a stench in the air, and the rough eyebrows can’t bear it. It's the history and humanity which took me here. That's were built by reach business men of yore for their business, to prove their mettle and to serve society. It's realtively big and a number users and visitors throng there. One can have a panoramic view of Howrah Bridge and Howrah Railway Station from there. Obviously the river and its landscape is awe inspiring.

A holy place and most of all it's a riverbank. But this place is being maintained very poorly. People come here for chanting and then too its mostly used as a public toilet

Quite and peaceful, overthrowing a view of the Howrah bridge, is like a miniature version of old calcutta dreams, or Varanasi. Its just below the flower market foot bridge where devotees and shadhus gather for a holy bath in Ganga.

A good place to view and click the Howrah bridge and also enjoy the sights and sounds of the river. Usually used by people to take a dip in the river. Wouldn't hurt if the place is cleaned once in a while, it being as filthy as anything.
