A glorious park in the heart of Kolkata. It's open till 10am in the morning. Perfect location for morning walk, exercises and spending time with nature. Located exactly opposite to the Tata Steel building, this park is easily accessible from all parts of the city. Connectivity is excellent because the Maidan metro station is situated adjacent to this park. Please try to keep the park clean. I would surely recommend everyone to visit here and enjoy everything this park has to offer.👍🏻

I was around this area and decided to check this place out. Its a nice park area, With a dedicated walkers lane. The only 2 bad things are photography is prohibited and the park stays open only from 1 to 4 PM in the afternoon which is a odd time. Specially on summer days. Anyways despite the no photography allowed people were still taking pics and all so I took some shots as well, it'd okish to be there if you are in the area its a normal park and since it closes off at 4 you cant spend the evening there.

That place famous for waterfall fountains.Professional photography is not allowed inside the park though you can use mobile for clicking pictures. There's a pond there and it's a huge place with big trees and planted flowers. A clear well maintained place. Big empty grounds and sitting area.Birds can be heard chirping which makes the atmosphere much pleasant.Entry is free .

It is a beautiful, green place at Maidan. It's a very short walk from Maidan metro station, roughly 5 mins. There is no entry fee. But there timings are a bit odd. It is usually open from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM everyday. The park is not as clean as it used to be. There is garbage everywhere, especially around the benches. People don't seem to use the garbage bins. The grass too is not trimmed, so walking across the field is not a good option. Overall it's a beautifully decorated park with flowering plants. A little bit of maintenance is what that is required.

Location: On Chowringhee, opposite Tata Centre, near the Park Street crossing. Hit the Spot: One could board a train and get off at Maidan Metro Railway Station. Buses and taxis are also available from various parts of the city. Nearest Railway Station: Howrah Nearest International Airport: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Elliot Park is situated in the centre of the city. It is spread over 90,000 sq. feet and has a jogger's track stretching over 1.5kms. It is the latest addition to the list of new parks being developed in Kolkata, the others being Millenium Park and Citizen's Park. It was built and is maintained by Tata Steel. Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, during his first spell as Chief Minister of West Bengal, inaugurated the park on 22nd November, 2004. The park is well looked after and is much loved by visitors. Till a few years back, this plot of land near the Maidan Metro Railway station used to be a dump for offal. Now the dumpsite has been transformed into a beautiful park marked by a fountain and covered with trees and flowers. It has provision for sitting and boasts of food stalls which provide snacks for people thronging .

Nice park.. Green space featuring a jogging/walking path, a pond & benches frequented by couples. Specially couples enjoy this park. many couples can be found sitting here and there.. overall an average place. This is a very good place to go for morning walks, the upkeep of the park could have been better but still this is good option because nowadays getting parking near Victoria is near impossible. Elliot Park is a huge park that occupies a total area of nearly 90,000 square feet. It may interest you to know that Tata Steel constructed the park. The park consists of several walk-throughs, restaurants, museums as well as outlets. Also, the park is easily accessible as it is located at the center of the city.

A large green well maintained place amidst the busy Kolkata. It has many mature trees, well kept garden and joggers path. It has two water bodies with fishes and ducks which is a soothing sight for sore eyes. The park is maintained by KMC and has no entry fee.

Very nice and beautiful place in the heart of the city. It's good for morning walk goers. Place is bit untidy KMC should take a proper care in concern with hygiene. I think there is no public toilet around as I couldn't find. I visited for jogging early in the morning. I like the place very much and it is really a gem for morning walkers. I have one question if the park is open all day for morning walk. Maintenance should be required to maintain the beautification of the park KMC can charge nominal subscription monthly and yearly to generate revenue to keep the park neat and clean. This park was developed by Tata Steel now it's under KMC I would like to request for the betterment of the society for proper maintenance of the park. It is really a beautiful place to visit for meditation and relaxing early morning.

For nature lovers and time pass lovers, Elliot Park provides the lush greenery and cozy moments under the trees or shrubs right in the middle of the city. It is a good place for outing with kids and a place to spend few hours with your family. Couples under shrubs with umbrella to guard their privacy could be a common sight. Ignore and move on. The place is clean and the plants are pruned and well kept.

Elliot Park, nestled in the heart of Kolkata, is a serene haven for morning walk enthusiasts. Despite its undeniable beauty, there's room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and hygiene; a more attentive approach from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) would be beneficial. During my visit, the absence of public toilets was noticeable, indicating an area for potential enhancement. As an avid jogger, I found the park to be a gem for morning exercise, offering a peaceful ambiance that fosters relaxation and meditation. However, the lack of proper maintenance is apparent, and I echo the sentiment that KMC could introduce a nominal subscription fee for monthly or yearly access. This revenue could be instrumental in preserving the park's aesthetic appeal and cleanliness. It's worth noting that Elliot Park, originally developed by Tata Steel and now under the jurisdiction of KMC, holds significant historical value. To uphold this legacy, I earnestly urge authorities to prioritize the park's upkeep for the benefit of the community. Despite these concerns, the park remains a beautiful destination for those seeking a tranquil space for morning activities. With a collective effort towards improvement, Elliot Park has the potential to evolve into an even more cherished and well-maintained urban retreat.

Maidan is basically an open field, where people can hang out for long hours and enjoy. Certain sports are being taught here in the Maidan field, although I am not sure about the types of sports being trained here. One can get to the field just by walking a few minutes distance from Maidan metro station. The field is basically located on the opposite side of the Victoria Memorial. The only thing I feel bad about the place is that the place is a bit dirty by the edges and mosquitoes are prevalent. You can enjoy horse ride here. The best time to visit the place is during winters or when the weather will be cool. As the place is fully open, so you may not like to be here during scorching summer.

Situated in heart of the City in 'maidan' and surrounded by victoria memorial, park Street, new Market, Eden garden, etc Two ponds are built inside the park. In one ponds you find Kamal flower also. One can find greenery in all over the park. Benches are available for seeting. Park has a nice Jogging track for joggers. Very popular in youngsters. You always find them under shed of trees or hiden in bamboo brush. One upon a time it was famous in the people of kolkata due to its maintenance but presently there is lack of cleaning, maintenance of garden, treeming of decorative trees even ponds are dirty. Fountains inside ponds are unserviceable since long. Seems no body/ authority are interested in maintaining the parkbother now days. Due to its location, one can reach there from all over kolkata/ howrah by any means of travel. Best way to travel by trams or metro to reach the park.

A beautiful green and serene place with a lovely lake. It's a wonderful place to have walks, fresh air and sunshine, shade and all. Professional photography and dirtying the place with plastic bags and food items is totally banned (and please don't even try to do that, it's a lovely place for calm and meditation). As it's a vast land, you can do a lot of things here - enjoy the lake view , have long walks / strolls , play outdoor sports (badminton, cricket etc), have picnics (there are garbage bins everywhere so please keep the place clean) and enjoy.

It's like a city within the city. There is a small walk. Once you are done with the visit, you can shop for authentic. If you are in the vicinity of chinatown, it well worth visiting. Clean and well-maintained.

(Translated by Google) Good to hear, but permission to look around is probably not available. Because it is known as the walking place of any particular political personality. It's a very very popular place for the love birds.. even best place for pre-wedding photo shoot.. after the massive cyclone hit in Kolkata & covid situations are the main reason for closing the park publicly. But the natural beauty of the park is outstanding. Besides the maidan metro station this place present with its own unique and natural beauty. Thank you.
