(Translated by Google) Chinese Temple. Yes! Yes! Just reading the Chinese temple. No, not in China, it is located in Bajipur's Ashipur. There is a three hundred year old Chinese temple on the Chinaman floor of Ashipur. Made in the style of Chinese art style. In the early eighteenth century, the famous Chinese tea merchant Tong Achi also came to this part of the Hooghly River Char. At that time this area was a dense forest inhabited by tigers and other wild animals. He received 650 bighas of land from the then Governor General Warren Hastings at an annual tax of Rs 45 and planned to build a sugarcane orchard and a sugar factory there. Small but beautiful temple. But I faced very bad experience at here. A staff of this temple (not sure if he is staff or not) forcefully took 50 Rs. from me. Many staffs of many places may ask you to give them some money with very politely. But he forcefully took money from me. This behavior to any tourist or guest is very unexpected and it will effect the temple's name if the staffs behave like this.

A small temple tucked near BudgeBudge town this one was built by early Chinese settlers. The best time to visit is during Chinese New Year. Otherwise all year round it doesn't get many visitors.

The main attraction of Achipur is the aged old Chinese temple that was built during the rule of British when the area was populated by Chinese people. At the complex’s main entrance, there is a huge gate has been built recently. The Chinese Buddhist temple is situated at a corner of the complex and surrounded by a low wall and one might have to crouch to get inside the temple, owing to the small entrance. The structure of the Chinese Buddhist temple in Achipur is that of a typical Chinese temple and comprises lovely wood carvings. In this temple, Chinese deities, Khudi and Khuda are worshiped.

Visited the place on 12th and 13th of March, 2022. It's a place of historical significance as the temple was constructed by Chinese from Kolkata and nearby areas to commemorate the first Chinese Tom Achieu who came to India and bought the adjoining lands from East India Company to cultivate sugarcane for his sugar industry. Also visited his grave yard by the side of Hoogly river.

A nice quiet and neat place. Considering it's vintage and the limited strength of the chinese community in the area, it's surprisingly well maintained.

The temple was originally set up by Yang Tai Chow, locally called Atchew Tong. He was an astute businessman and a contractor. He also started a sugar mill and sugarcane plantations on 650 bighas of land during the times of Warren Hastings, Governor General, and was instrumental in bringing thousands of Chinese immigrants to Calcutta.

Its a historical place. Some merchants from China came for business work here and set up a temple over here. Every year people from Chinese community come here and celebrate their festivals. The design of the temple is good indeed and has touch of the Chinese civilization.

It's a very quite and nice place to visit with your family and friends. Though a bit empty and old the idols in the temple are kept beautifully.

I visited this temple on 13.08.2022. Morning time the temple is closed now but in the evening time it is open. Caretaker of the temple can open the temple to visitors if available there. Basically the temple premises is a good spot to visit during winter time. Communication is little bit problematic. You have to come there by own car or reserved auto from Budgebudge Railway Station. Otherwise take share auto from above Railway Station to Achipur Bara Battala and then by walking about a kilometer, if luck permits can get share toto.

Very poorly maintained, though open but could not enter inside the temple because of water logging. According to the locals only on the eve of Chinese new year there are visitor's from kolkata and nearby.
