Rani Rashmani did the KAsi visit, the world where the famous Vishwanath temple and Annapurna Temple are for the philosophy. But on the way to the water, one night he got the dream of Goddess Kali and came back with the postponement of the Kashi, and started the work of establishing Bhavatari temple in Dakshineswar. Mathur Babu was one of the artisans to build the temple of Dakshineswar. But due to the postponement of the Kashi-pilgrimage, Mathur Babu felt that there was a latent desire to establish the Temple of Goddess Annapurna anywhere. He was looking for a suitable place. Finally, there is a place near Titaragarh near Barrackpore. Devotees Bhagatmati Jagdamba Devi also came forward to fulfill her wishes. Their son Dwikinath Biswas completed the task of constructing this temple in hard work. Although Mathur Babu could not see it. He died before the construction of the temple was completed. There is another notable event associated with this temple. A lion statue at the top of the temple is at the top of the main entrance. According to the public, this lion protects the temple from all dangers. Once upon a time the British government began to pressure the temple authorities to remove the statue of the lion. Because, they thought Singh was the symbol of the British Empire, so the temple authority has no right to use that statue. At the end, the parties came to the court. After many years of legal battle, the temple authorities finally won the case. The court said that the statue of Lion should be allowed to remain an art and art like him. Recently, this Annapurna Temple in Titagarh was blessed with the philosophy. As I said earlier, the temple was built in the form of Bhavatarii temple of Dakshineswar. Like the Temple of Dakshineswar, there is also the Natmandir, the Shiva temple (six in number, though the number of Shivmandir's twelve in Dakshineswar). The height of the main temple, ie Annapurna temple, is slightly higher than the Bhabtarani temple. In the womb, there is a wonderful gift of Lord Shiva and Annapurna.

This place is a hidden beauty. The beautiful green and open surroundings, the lovely constant breeze flowing freely makes you feel very calm and relaxed. Time just passed by without notice while. However much is still needed to maintain and improve this place. Charges are - Parking Rs.30 Bhog Prashad in premises (1:30pm) Rs.120 per person. Bhog Prashad for parcel home Rs 170. For us 1 was sufficient as extremely generous amount was provided. Rooms available for Daytime use only. Nighttime stay not allowed. Limited coupons available for Prashad, hence if you are visiting during any popular festivals or weekends then its advisable to call office on the previous day and place a booking. This temple was built by Jagadamba Devi, youngest daughter of Rani Rashmoni. The temple is similar to the Bhavatarini temple at Dakshineswar. Lord Shiva and Maa Annapurna are worshipped here. Temple is very nice and should be maintained properly, specially during rainy season. Different small Shiva temples present inside the premise. 4-wheeler parking charge ₹30 (no time basis).

Build by Jagadamba Devi, daughter of Lokmata Rani Rashmoni the temple of Shiva Sakti Annapurna is an important and attractive religious site. The century old temple is almost an exact replica of the century old renowned Maa Jagadeswari temple of Dakshineswar. The sacred saint Ramakrishna inaugurated the temple and visited numerous times in this place. The Ganges flows just by side of the temple. The ' chandni ' and the ghat are still a great attraction with the century old architecture. The temple still retains its structure in great form, only the two Nahabat buildings are almost in ruined condition. It is a place worth visit.

Suddenly finding out, I went to this Annapurna mother's temple a couple of years ago. At that time no maintenance was done. The atmosphere was very good and secluded. I came back after spending some time. At present the temple has been painted and cleaned.

A nice place to visit 😀 with family 👪 and friends. But one thing is that the lawn in front of the temple needs a bit of maintenance. Then it will be perfect.

This temple premises needs serious renovation. Only well maintained temple is the Annapurna temple itself. Surrounding is pretty much ignored. It really hurts to see it like this. You can perform your puja without any issue or hastle. However, if you are considering to purchase flowers, prasadam etc near the temple premises, you might want to reconsider your decision. There are very less number of shops/sellers available. Better to carry it with yourself.

The temple architect is a replica of Dakhineshwar temple but, it's still looks majestic. There is a river bank behind the temple and it gives a sense of calmness to the mind.

The Annapurna Temple in Barrackpore is a very big temple with its sprawling surroundings. The temple was built during the British Era . The exquisite and grandiose architectural design of the temple mesmerizes everyone as it resembles the replica of the Dakhineswar Temple. This Annapurna Temple is the cynosure among all the other religious places and tourist attractions in Barrackpore. Just infront of the temple lies the mighty flowing river Ganga with its own unique architectured design bathing ghat named as Rani Rashmoni Ghat. The temple consists of six Lord Shiva's small temples, a dedicated meditation room and rooms for the temple pandits to stay which are all located inside the temple premises. Many devotees come here to worship Mata Annapurna deity which after worshipping will left you struck with awe. Thank you.

This temple, at Barrackpore, is a small replica of the Dakshineshwar Temple in kolkata, and was established by Rani Rashmoni's daughter Jagdamba. The deity here is Shiv- Annapurna and the idol is made of asht-dhatu (8 metals). There are 6 shiva temples in the ground. The temple is 10mins away from the Barrackpore station and auto fare is 20₹/head(these autos are available from outside the station on the left hand side lane). The temple at present is under renovation, marble flooring is being done. It is not at all crowded. There is a ganga ghat nearby. temple opens early morning, but it is better to visit around 11 a.m. Small sweets shops and flowers are available at a little distance from the temple gate (bring your own if possible). The priests are always ready to offer your puja to maa Annapurna. If planning to have bhog at the temple, it is available from 1:30p.m. onwards in the corridor of the Office of this temple, for this one needs to purchase a food coupon at 120₹/head. We visited on Annakoot festival (day after kali puja), there were elaborate bhogs offered to the deity and then offered to the visitors (bhoger bhaat, bhaja, polao, khichuri, again bhaat, daal, labra, badhakopi, chatni, payesh). The food was delicious. parcels are also available.

Very good temple, got renovated and colored recently. Met at the office with the person in charge and descendant. However, the peripheral and surrounding of the temple area is filled with huts, shops and village like atmosphere. Not many people visit there. Famous during Maa Annapurna Puja which is at 9Apr'22 when many people visit there.

Annapurna Temple, situated beside the Ganga river between Titagarh and Barrackpore. Very close to Gandhi Ghat. It looks like Dakshineswar Temple. Actually it's a copy of Dakshineswar Temple. Lots of people come here to give their puja to Kali Ma and to ask for blessings.. Very silent and nostalgic place.. If u visit there u will feel relaxed and refreshed... Lots of Bengali Movies and serial shootings have been done here..

I visited Annapurna Temple in Barrackpore The temple of Goddess Annapurna was built on the banks of the Ganges on April 12, 1875 in imitation of the Dakshineswar temple. I came to know that in 1847, during Rani Rasmani's pilgrimage to Annapurna Kashi, Rani Rasmani received a dream to build a temple of Annapurna on the banks of the Ganges and Rani Rasmani's journey to Kashi was suspended. That dream was fulfilled by Rani Rasmani's youngest daughter Jagdambadevi. We visited today, the goddess here is made of ashtadhatu. Navaratna temple with nine pinnacles with pankha work, big nat temple, six eight-aisled Shiva temple, two Nahavatkhanas, Ganga ghat, Bhog house etc. were built. I heard that it cost about three lakh rupees in that era. This temple can be reached in seven minutes by rickshaw or walking from Talpukur bus stop between Barrackpore or Titagarh. Nice experience, you can visit too.

Annapurna Temple is a very old temple which is located near Titagarh near the banks of Hoogly. It is made in the style of Dakhineshwar temple. The temple was commissoned by Rani Jagadamba the youngest daughter of Rani Rashmani (founder of Dakhineshwar temple). The place very calm and quiet. You will enjoy the blissful serenity here. There is no chaos of people selling offerings. There compound is also big with six temples of Lord Shiva. The main temple contains the deity Devi Ma Annapurna. Do visit this beautiful place.

The location is very near from Barrackpore Chirreamore and from Titagarh Station. This is a Hindu navaratna heritage temple situated on the bank of the Ganges at Rasmani ghat at Titagarh and Barrackpore in North 24 Paragana. This is similar as Dakshineswar Temple. It is built by the youngest daughter of Rani Rasmani, who was Jagadamba Devi. This is Annapurna Mandir and along with this it has 6 shiv mandir. You can also buy coupon to have bhog. The mandir is open till 8am to 12pm in the afternoon and again from 5pm to 8pm. The place is very beautiful and the ganges is flowing by the side of this mandir. Its indeed a must travel place.

In Barrackpore, there is Annapurna temple, a temple identical to Dakshineswar Kali temple. You may be surprised to see the similarity of these two temples. After 20 years of the establishment of Dakshineswar temple, Annapurna temple was built by Jagadamba Devi, the youngest daughter of Rani Rashmoni Devi. In 1875, this temple was inaugurated by Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa Dev. These two temples were built by the same architect. Annapurna temple is taller than Dakshineswar temple. But it is smaller than Dakshineswar temple in length and breadth. It is a Navaratna temple (a specific architectural style). The idols of Lord Shiva and Devi Annapurna are made of Ashtadhatu. Ashtadhatu refers to the alloy of eight metals namely gold, silver, zinc, lead, copper, iron, tin and mercury. The chalchitra and the throne of the Goddess are made out of silver. Chalchitra is the circular or vaulted background canvas of the idols of the deities and it is beautifully decorated with folk paintings. The Goddess wears Banarasi Saree and gold jewelleries. Everyday Annabhog or the rice meal is served to the deities. Fish is an indispensable item in Devi Annapurna's bhog. Patha Boli or ritualistic sacrifice of goat was mandatory as a part of Annapurna puja in the past years. Source : Kolkata TV

Mandir Opening Time : Morning - 5 A.M to 1:30 P.M & Afternoon - 4 P.M to 8 P.M. Bhog Prasad Rate : 120 per Head (Timing- 1:30 P.M to 2:00 P.M ) .

Built by Jagadamba Devi, the youngest daughter of Rani Rashmoni (who built Dakshineshwar temple), this temple is dedicated to Maa Annapurna and the main temple and Nat Mondir exact replica of the Dakshineshwar temple. One can also take a dip at the Ganges or simply experience the view of the Ganges which is just about 100 meters if exited by the back gate of the temple. When I visited, the temple showed that it needs maintenance, grass trimming and cleaning the Nat Mondir which is full of bird excreta. Situated in Titagarh, this temple is easily accessible by road and has decent parking space available.

Loved the place & atmosphere there. Very calm & the air was fresh to breathe in to the hearts content. Didnt knew about this place before this. A mini replica of the Dakhineswar temple, near the Gandhi Ghat at Barrackpore. The temple is well renovated and restored, thanks to its popularity through the Bengali serial Rani Rashmoni. The temple was built by the grandson of the Rani, and still stands the test of time even today. Not a grand but still a very majestic and peaceful environment awaits who wants to visit this place. A must visit 👍🏼

This hindu temple is situated between Barrackpore and Titagarh and it is very close to Gandhi Ghat. Here Maa(Mother) Annapurna is worshiped by her devotees. It was built by Smt Yogomaya Devi, the daughter of Rani(Queen) Rashmoni Devi on 12th April 1875. I visited this place last year. If you're searching purity, peace and a pure devotional atmosphere you should definitely visit this temple with your family and friends. Replica This temple was opened to devotees on the 12th of April, 1875 (30th Chaitra 1281) by Sri Sri Ramkrishna Paramahansa. The majestic temple stands on the Rani Rashmoni ghat near Barrakpore. Timings: Summers: 5:30am to 12:30pm and 4pm to 8pm. Winters: 6am to 1pm and 3:30pm to 8pm. How to reach: Take the BT Road, and inbetween Titagarh and Barrakpore, you’ll get the bus stop – Talpukur bus stop. From here take the Local road or ask anyone about Rashmoni ghat, you’ll be shown the road to be taken. The temple is hardly few meters from Talpukur bus stop.
