It's a beautiful place near Kolkata to visit for 2/3 hrs. Most preferably at evening time. The beauty is more when the lights are turned on with black sky background. It has a cafeteria as well. Car parking is available and the officials are managing that quite well. Very clean which is very much needed for any devotional place.

Beautiful and serene. They have a space behind the temple that people can book to get married at. Serving food happens in the canteen where they make very tasty vegetarian food. Taking photos inside the temple is not allowed but a photographer is allowed in the wedding area. The place is located in joka and slightly away from the very loud city hustle.

Peaceful, quite, serene and extremely clean and well maintained temple spread over a large area decorated with fountains and curated gardens. The darshan procedure is very systematic and clean. There is a store selling various products of the ashram and a large canteen. One can also spend a very peaceful time meditating on the marble benches. Parking of car is also available.

Nestled on Diamond Harbour Road near Bhasa, on the outskirts of Kolkata, this temple is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of tranquility and spirituality. As a visitor, I was mesmerized by the temple's exquisite architecture, which showcased a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary styles. The temple provides a serene and peaceful atmosphere, away from the bustling city life. The moment you step onto the premises, you are greeted by a sense of calmness that envelops your entire being. The meticulously maintained gardens and well-kept surroundings add to the overall charm and allure of the place. I found solace in the tranquility that pervades every corner of this spiritual haven. The temple offers a much-needed respite from the chaos of daily life, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in deep reflection and introspection. The serene ambiance creates the perfect setting for meditation, offering a space to connect with one's inner self.

This temple, which is tucked away on Diamond Harbour Road in Bhasa on the outskirts of Kolkata, is a hidden gem that perfectly encapsulates serenity and devotion. The temple's magnificent architecture, which displayed a seamless fusion of conventional and modern forms, mesmerised me as a tourist. Away from the busy daily life, the temple offers a calm and tranquil environment. You feel a sense of calmness permeate your entire being the instant you enter the grounds. The perfectly managed grounds and attractive surroundings add to the location's overall appeal. The peace that permeates every inch of this spiritual retreat brought me comfort.

Beautiful architecture, grandeur in the middle of nowhere. Built of red sandstone the interiors are breathtaking as well. The compound is very spacious,.clean and very well maintained. The restrooms are clean and parking lot is available. Word of caution, if you are planning to visit in the evening hrs(4 to 7 pm), better hire a cab else leave early as the app cabs are a tad difficult to find due to the remoteness.

Very good place to visit on a weekend. Very well decorated and it consists of a good space as well. Good place for taking some photos. It has a small shop within the premises and also one restaurant type. But no AC facility is available. You can get dhokla, South Indian, few sweets, noodles, etc as snacks in the restaurant. The Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Kolkata is a stunning example of Hindu architecture and artistry. From the moment you approach the mandir, you are struck by its grandeur and beauty. The intricate carvings and decorations on the exterior walls are a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans who built it. Inside the mandir, you are transported to a world of peace and tranquility. The air is filled with the scent of incense and the sound of devotional music. The main prayer hall is a sight to behold, with its high ceilings, ornate pillars, and stunning altar. The idols of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and other deities are exquisitely crafted and radiate a sense of serenity and divinity. The mandir is not just a place of worship, but also a center for cultural and educational activities. The BAPS organization is known for its humanitarian work, and this mandir is no exception. It offers various programs and initiatives that promote values such as peace, unity, and service to others. Visitors can participate in events such as cultural festivals, health camps, and youth programs. The staff and volunteers at the mandir are friendly and welcoming, and are happy to answer any questions you may have. They are passionate about their faith and their community, and it shows in the way they interact with visitors. Overall, the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Kolkata is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Hindu culture, architecture, or spirituality. It is a place of beauty, peace, and inspiration that will leave you with a sense of awe and wonder.

Great architecture, well planned and very well managed temple. Please plan accordingly to the temple opening hours, since the main gate would be closed and there is no waiting area nearby if you visit during off hours. A restaurant is present inside the temple area, price is a bit high i would say, but food taste is good and serving is quick. Parking place is available for both bikes/cars with enough spaces.

Very good place to visit with family specially elderly people. The area is huge and there is total piece of mind. you can sit anywhere and relax. There is a huge canteen with a provision of over 500 people to sit and take meal. You can get number of veg dishes, tea, coffee, samosa, dosa, cold drink and many more. Overall a good place for worship and relaxation from hectic city life. As this is located away from city, one has to plan entire day to visit this place and not to be in hurry as you need 2-3 hours to enjoy it and the surroundings.

It is a good place for day outing in Kolkata. The entire temple is beautifully decorated. In the evening when the lights turned on, it looks spectacular. But there is a lots of steps to visit the temple which is problematic for old persons or those who have orthopaedic problems.

4 stars for the beautiful architecture of the temple. It's bliss to the eyes. I visited on the weekend, I reached there at around 3 pm but we were not aware that the gates open at 4 pm. Then we had to wait in line to park our car. So yes, parking is available there and they charge 50 rupees for four wheeler parking. Charges are different for vehicles like mini buses or buses. There's no entry fee. However, you need to pay 50 rupees to pour water on the idol kept in a glass room in the underground section. I couldn't give one more star in the review because many parts of the temple area are not allowed to enter, few areas are inactive, for example, water fountains and so on which added value to the beauty earlier. A canteen is available there for tea and snacks and another joint is also available there for snacks and drinks. The entire area is quite big to accommodate a good number of devotees. Photography is currently allowed outside of the temple only.

The place is just in the outskirt of the city of Kolkata....it is a very big place and you will enjoy a visit here....you can stay for the whole day here they have a canteen, clean toilets and is very spatious.... The temple is also very nicely decorated and you will enjoy your visit here if you like a less crowdy place.....there is a very big spatious parking lot here and the cost is also resonable (Rs40 for LMV for whole day).... The road is little narrow compared with the traffic outside the temple....I have visited here with my new car and enjoyed the driving here and also enjoyed the place very much....

We can call it Place of Peace, the worship Shree Swaminarayan’s temple. The for form of BAPS is Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. In Kolkata it is situated Bhasa, Diamond Harbour Road, where you will find ample communication options. The temple itself has a big paid parking area for bike, car and bus. The temple is a great place for visiting with family and friends to hangout for a day. The architecture of this temple is a unique and stunning creation in its own. The artwork is so amazingly done in all over the temple which will makes it exception and architectural masterpiece. Beside the main temple there are several branch temples to visit. There is a big canteen with numerous completely veg dishes, tea, coffee, samosa, dosa, cold drinks etc. and approx. 500 sitting arrangements inside it. A central library is also there inside the temple area. Enough space for roaming around and a big and clean washroom is also available. For puja purpose there are two tokening options are present to Swami Narayan 50/- for 2 100/- for 4. Timing for visiting the temple are daily 7:30 am - 10:30 am, 11:15 am - 12 pm, 4 pm - 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm, 8:00 pm - 8:15 pm and for Arti Shangar: 7:30 am, Rajbhog: 11:15 am, Sandhya: 6:30 pm, Shayan: 8:00 pm. I really liked this place, already visited 3 times, really a great experience overall. Recommending other to visit and explore.
