Shobha Bazar Rajbari is the residential palace of the zamindars of the village of Sutanuti in the early-British raj era, when the city of Kolkata did not even exist! It is located on the Raja Naba Krishna Deb Road, named after Raja Naba Krishna Deb, one of the influential kings of this house. The place is a heritage one and it is renowned for the celebration of Durga Puja every year here. This is the Natmandir, which hosts Durga Puja.

Nat Mandir, this is a place in Shobhabazar Rajbari and programs of Sutanuti Utsav performed here. This place is related to the birth of the city Kolikata, Calcutta or Kolkata and not to be confused with any other so called Nat Mandir anywhere else than Raja Nabakrishna Street in North Kolkata near Shobhabazar, or Hatibagan.

I went here for a programme of Swastika, a magazine, where the Bengali New Year's copy of the magazine was released. The place is too good and carries the nostalgia of old Calcutta.

This place has good architecture and has some location benifit also as it is nearby shovabazar metro. Only thing i don't like about this place is that is not well maintained as it has to be. And one more thing here many bengali serials/shows scene's are filmed here and many cultural shows are also organises.

Shobhabazar Rajbari Natmandir. Located beside the rajbari, the natmandir was established in 1830 (around 70 years after the Rajbari came into existance). It normally remains closed. Today was able to visit it as part of an event.

Nestled in the heart of North Kolkata, specifically in Sovabazar, this historic establishment boasts both renown and age, contributing significantly to the cultural fabric of the City of Joy. Its prominence reaches a zenith during the festive fervor of Durga Puja, as it proudly hosts one of the oldest and most cherished celebrations in the city, tracing its origins back to the early British era. What sets this place apart is its steadfast commitment to preserving and perpetuating its unique traditions. Even in the face of modernization, it stands as a steadfast guardian of cultural heritage. The allure of this establishment transcends generations, making it a perennial favorite, especially during the vibrant and lively Ashtami evening of Durga Puja. In contemporary times, this cherished locale has evolved into a sought-after rendezvous point for the city's youth. During the festive season, particularly on Ashtami evenings, it transforms into a lively adda zone. The mingling of tradition and modernity creates a unique atmosphere where the echoes of the past harmonize with the vibrant energy of the present. This blend of history, tradition, and youthful exuberance makes it an integral part of the cultural tapestry of Kolkata.
