It's a great place and exhibits the artworks of great painters very oftenly. There are various sections for showcasing the works in a order. It has a store too which sells dokra jewellery, handloom clothes for male and female, paintings, dokra showpieces, paintings, fabrics, bags, notebooks and all. It's on second floor.

The place is always empty. They have a good series of modern art. The painting are good! They have their own handicrafts shop and! Though it's overpriced but the things are unique themselves! And you can get some antique feeling in them. You can vist it anytime between 12 noon to 8pm. It's located in 2rd floor of Lindsay tower. Mind your steps till there they are wrong.

I love this place don't get me wrong I liked it the first time I went there, but I hate the fact that pictures are not allowed to be taken, like c'mon man? Maybe take extra for camera charges but please allow us to take pictures it's not fair what so ever.

Most reputed art gallery of Kolkata that regularly holds shows/ exhibitions of eminent as well as young artists. The gallery organises an art competition and an annual summer show. Other important events are Art in Life -a show of saris, scarves, ornaments artecrafts and Art mela- a fair of affordable paintings and sculpture.

though one always find peace in painting galleries but CIMA is unlike others, its decor and taste of exhibition and installation is quite differnt. Lived the store where one can get things which reflects Bengal's culture. One should keep CIMA in tje list while Kolkata tour

CIMA art gallery is an aesthetically beautiful place which currently showcases the paintings of some of the legendary artists like Sri Ganesh Pyne ji and Smt. Arpita Singh ji. And in the coming month the paintings of Sri Bikash Bhattacharjee and Sri Sanat Kar will be on display along with some others. One can experience the original works of these legendary artists from a close perspective. Photography is not allowed, so one can only bring back the paintings in their memories. They also have the collection of the items of dokra work, exclusive collection of sarees and dress materials to purchase. One doesn't need any tickets to visit this gallery.

Excellent art work. Wish Mr Paresh had the seen the heavenly realms, more brighter colours could be used. Liked the water colour paintings the best. Sale section was highly expensive.

Horrible experience.. it was a sheer chaos outside the Station. No Police could be seen and Taxi, Cab, Toto touts simply took over that place pulling and pushing people. The same experience I had to go through while coming back on 24th March, 23 early in the morning. But inside Platform No. is descent.

The wonderful place for art lover, you will find absolute peace uniqueness in different painting, sculpture. Even you can get wall paintings, hand bags, different cards. Although they are costly in terms of local standard, but you will be enriched by visiting this place. And the building Sunny tower is residence of many celebrities- Rohan Gavaskar's flat to Buddhadev Guha.

Take some time out of your monotonous routine and give yourself an extravagant treat. I was there for the 75th Independence anniversary exhibition and I was blown away by the selection of art displayed. Each and every piece had it's own story to tell. An art lover or not, you're surely going to have an exhilarating experience. Take yourself to an immersive trip. Tag your friends along or just go by yourself, that's a splendid experience in itself.

The embodied hub of quintessential modern Indian Art. Poise and elegant, they house a small nook for the selling of Art artifacts at reasonable prices. A 'must include' destination should one decide to be in town and they happen to house an exhibition.

One of the best galleries (from artists representation perspective) in Kolkata but unfortunately not a professional gallery. I have been to galleries across the world and wish this place was better managed.
