Bhutnath or Bhootnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva or Rudra. It is situated right next to Nimtala crematorium on the Strand Road in Ahiritola. It is also known as Kaamna Poorti Mahadev. There is a 300-year old ritual where the shivling idol is worshipped with the ashes of a dead body from the Nimtala Ghat Crematorium. There is a silver barricade around the garbhagriha and is famous for the bhasmarti ritual and evening sringar. Since it is on the banks of Ganga, the evening arati with sound of conch shells around the sunset is an exhilarating and spiritual experience. There are several shops outside The temple where you can find flowers, sweets, and other offerings for Mahadev. There are temporary stalls that will charge RS.5 for keeping your shoes. The temple is accessible by Metro and local autos from Sovabazar, boats to Ahiritola launch ghat, suburban circular train (Sovabazar Ahiritola station), and bus stop at Jorabagan.

If you are a devotee of Bholenath, then bhutnath mahadev darshan will be the most sacred darsan of your life โค๏ธ. This temple is highly sacred.Spiritual power of this temple is beyond your imagination ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป. To reach here you have to take metro and come to shovabazar metro station. Then you have to come out and take auto to ahiritola ghat or just say bhutnath temple, which costs only 10 rs. You can instantly reach there. Then You have to walk for 5 mins to reach the temple premises. Another way to take ferry to ahiritola ghat. Another way is to reach by train to alongside station. This temple is located beside nimtala burning place. There are lots of shops to buy flowers and holy water to devote to mahadev. Weekdays there is very little rush, but weekends are fully packed. Specially in shivaratri, the rush of darshanarthi is huge. Bhutnath mahadev is highly sacred. If you wish something from your heart with selfless thought, bhutnath never return you bare handed. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Har har Mahadev ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Besides the cremation ground at Nimtala Ghat, stands one of the most underrated and ancient temples of the state. Baba Bhootnath Dham is considered as a holy site where all wishes come true and therefore, its also known as Kaamna Poorti Mahadev. The Bhootnath form of Lord Shiva is being worshipped here, which is the pre-Nataraja form of God. Nothing much is known about its origin but all people speak about the 300 years old tradition of worshipping Lord Shiva with the ashes of a burnt body from the cremation ground beside. The striking feature is the Bhasmarti ritual at this temple. It is said that the tradition is some 300 years old and it involves the ashes of a recently burnt body from the nearby cremation ground. As lockdown was enforced, it became difficult to continue to tradition as a number of restrictions were imposed for cremation. Surprisingly, every morning, a body would appear on the banks Hooghly river for being cremated and burnt and this has continued every day for the past 300 years. The silver barricade around the garbhagriha or where the Shiva idol is placed is quite attractive. In case you have a special day ahead, you can request for blessings from the akhand jyoti room. Apart from the famous bhasmarti ritual, the daily evening sringar or ornating the Lord with flowers is indeed a sight to behold. Being on the banks of Hooghly, the place is absolutely stunning at evening time with long prayers and conch shells against the river backdrop.

Jai Baba Bhootnath...Har har Mahadev.. A must visit place for Lord Shiva Devotees. It is considered to be one of the oldest temples in Kolkata. Besides the Temple there is a beautiful seating area from where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the ghat and atmosphere of the Ganga River. There is also a Cremation area.

I visit Bhootnath temple every Monday morning. I start my every week by taking blessings from Mahadev ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ Location: located in between Ahiritola Ghat and Nimtola Mohasasan How to reach: you can reach here from howrah station by taking ferry and getting down at ahiritola Ghat, you can come from Dumdum station side by taking circular train and getting down at ahiritola, you can come from shobabajar metro by taking auto directly to the temple If you want to do puja of bhootnath baba there are lot of stalls outside the temple from where you can get all materials to worship baba inside the temple. There is more rush during Monday, Tuesday and Saturday specially during the morning and evening time. Remaining days the que is average to the mentioned three days . You also have Sakhi Hanuman Mandir beside bhootnath baba temple which is a must visit after visiting bhootnath temple. You can get many good food stalls in and around the temple from where you can get good tea, litti chokha and many more items. So do visit the temple and never miss the opportunity to take blessings from Bhootnath baba.. Har Har Mahadev ๐Ÿ•‰ ๐Ÿ™

He will not continue reading your article. Use the best hook, exciting story, shocking revelation, a quote, or a summary of the topic to start the introduction. The hook should be tied with the thesis statement. Write the body. In the body, you are supposed to describe or argue on the topic. The main ideas you listed in the outline should be well discussed here. Each paragraph should introduce each concept. These paragraphs must have an introduction sentence to the primary purpose. Explaining these ideas comes after the main introductory sentence backed up with credible information. Cite all the reference materials and the direct quotes according to the format you asked. Word count should be respected. Word count is a severe aspect in writing of your essay. If you are given the limit of words, you need to cover, respect the instruction. A slight deviation may be acceptable; however, do not overwrite or underwrite. Do not repeat the information you have already provided in the resume. The essays should be brief and have correct grammar. Please go through it to ensure that all the grammar mistakes are corrected and any other errors.

The place is crowded always. Especially it's too corwdy on Mondays. Here the food is expensive. Else you can offer puja. Lots of shops are there to buy prasad but I would suggest to take your own puja materials for your ease. On the other side there is crematorium. You take ferry to visit naya mandir too. You cannot offer water to shiv ling only prasad and flowers.

Bhoothnath temple is undeniably a great place for worshipping Lord Shiva. Its serene and spiritual ambiance creates an atmosphere of devotion and tranquility. The temple's architecture and intricate detailing add to its beauty, making it a visually captivating place of worship. Devotees flock to Bhoothnath temple from far and wide, which occasionally leads to overcrowding. Navigating through the large crowds can be challenging, especially during peak hours and festivals. However, the vibrant energy of so many people coming together for a common purpose is a testament to the temple's significance and devotion. Once inside the temple, the experience of offering prayers and seeking blessings from Lord Shiva is deeply fulfilling. The priestly services are conducted with reverence and devotion, enhancing the spiritual experience for the visitors. Despite the occasional overcrowding, the overall experience at Bhoothnath temple is quite positive. The strong sense of faith and devotion among the visitors creates an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere. It is a place where one can find solace, seek guidance, and connect with their spiritual side. If you're willing to embrace the lively crowd and seek moments of peace amid the devotion, Bhoothnath temple is undoubtedly a must-visit destination for Lord Shiva devotees.

This is a very famous and ancient temple of Lord Shiva. This temple is open for devotees all around year. You can offer your offerings, puja here and you can purchase the dala for puja from outside stores at very nominal cost. You can feel a peace here. You can enjoy and perform the sandhya arati here at evening on the banks of river Ganges. Please visit this temple with your friends and family.

A very famous temple of baba bhootnath situated in North Kolkata on the bank of hoogly river. The best time to visit is definitely Sawan month. But if you want to avoid crowds then visit any day apart from Monday, Tuesday and Saturday. Don't forget to have some famous litti chokha and Gulabi Chai while enjoying the cool breeze of the river. Visit RupuSubhi Vlogs on YouTube for a minivlog about our experience. And do subscribe to us if you like our video. Thanks.

A very popular place among pilgrims, situated besides Nimtala maha samshan, temple is very old but recently renovated, as the temple belongs to Lord Mahadev, every Monday a huge gathering is observed and in the month of monsoons (Asar & Sravan) the huge footfall completely close the nearby strand bank road, so, my advice to take sufficient time to travel in this area in those days, thank you.

This popular temple is located near the banks of river Hooghly just adjacent to the Nimtala Cremation ghat. The lord Shiva is worshiped here. The river Hooghly added the holyness of this place. During 'Shivaratri' the temple is visited by thousands of devotees.. Many shops are there to sell flower & sweets for offering by the devotees.
