Sola
Ana
Masjid
and
its
adjoining
graveyard
stand
as
a
serene
testament
to
faith
and
reflection
in
the
heart
of
Kolkata.
Nestled
amidst
the
hustle
and
bustle
of
city
life,
this
sacred
sanctuary
offers
visitors
a
momentary
escape
into
tranquillity.
At
the
center
of
this
hallowed
ground
is
a
picturesque
man-made
pond,
teeming
with
vibrant
fishes
and
a
self-sustaining
marine
ecosystem,
a
symbol
of
life
amidst
a
place
that
often
reminds
us
of
the
opposite.
The
silence
here
is
profound;
it's
not
just
the
absence
of
noise
but
a
deep,
resonant
quiet
that
invites
introspection.
Sitting
amongst
the
meticulously
maintained
graves,
one
can't
help
but
feel
an
overwhelming
connection
to
both
the
earth
and
the
vastness
of
existence.
There's
a
palpable
reminder
of
the
fleeting
nature
of
life,
urging
visitors
to
grasp
the
present
moment,
cherish
it,
and
live
with
purpose
and
passion.
The
expansive
grounds,
designed
for
reusable
graves,
reflect
a
harmonious
blend
of
practicality
and
reverence
for
the
cycles
of
life
and
death.
Sola
Ana
Masjid
is
not
just
a
place
of
worship;
it's
a
place
of
contemplation,
where
the
past,
present,
and
future
seem
to
converge.
What
I
didn't
like
however,
I
won't
particularly
mention
anything
specific,
is
that
a
lot
of
people
have
established
businesses
in
the
name
of
religion,
and
are
spreading
wrong
religious
knowledge
among
vulnerable
people.
Excluding
that,
everything
is
excellent.
From
the
timely
Namaaz,
to
the
beautiful
and
skilled
voice
of
the
Maulvi's
reading.
