However, we need to be responsible also for this cleanliness. The total experience was good. There is one "Nature's cafe" situated inside the zoo. Aquarium zoo is best place for fish lovers.. 3 rooms and 30 different types of fishes available.... .. I saw some of the unique fishes.. but I was expecting more... I expected a very big area which could include a dolphin 🐬 or may b shark 🦈 or a mini 🐳 but their are only small fishes... that van also be kept in your home aquarium.. so.. Found only two types of deer; chital and barking deer. One of the two fauna parks in eco park apart from the butterfly park. Weekends are crowded but very peaceful on weekdays. Visit preferably in the evening just before closing during summer as there is no shade. In winter, day visits are fine.

The space available for roaming is too less. The dear hardly come close to you, they remain in the their shades. When I visited the place, the nearest distance that deer had between was not less than 100 metres. Its better not to visit the place during daytime due to the heat.

Deers are very lovely. If u come by 16:00-16:30 you can see how stuff feeds them. We us adults liked it a lot,probably kids will love it even more.

The place is good. Fish tanks are clean and well lit. But the collection of fishes is not that big. The aquarium is just a bonus if you are going to the zoo.

The aquarium is nice too. Established in 1977, has 17large and 48 small tanks. Reptile house was established in 1979

The aquariums were maintained well. But if you are a fish keeper you'll get bored cause except 2 or 3 species each and every fish are just domestic ones which are found in every aquarium shops like goldfish,angels,Oscars etc. You'll see some Pacu and alligator gars too. Though the tickets are very cheap for that much. It's good for kids.

As of now the only thing good is there isn't any crowd. 10-12 deer present as on date. Nothing great l, the place is still under construction. Entry is Ra. 30/- per head. Park timings are 10:30am to 5pm.

Good location but poor maintenance

The entire park is under renovation. Not sure what they have done with the rest of 100+ barking and other deer that were there. Less than 20 are alive now. Staff is extremely rude. The worst part is though the Hirnalay is 90% closed, still you have to pay 30 rupees entry fee to go and eat in the cafe inside. Simply loot! The Nature's Cafe on the other hand is good with courteous staff and decent food. that's what the 2 stars are for.

The day before yesterday I visited Harinalaya mini zoo with some of my colleagues. It is located beside Ecopark recreational park. The entrance of the zoo is just next to the gate no. 6 of Ecopark. We have seen a number of exotic birds there like Blue and golden Macaw, Abdim's storck, Vernacle goose, Black swan, Sulpher-crested cockatoo etc. We have also seen Marsh water and salt water crocks, spotted and barking deers etc. To our surprise we saw that the two types of deers are kept together in a single big enclosure. The zoo biologist elaborating about the zoo told us that the reason behind it is to provide a jungle like living to the deers where all animals live together. The zoo authority has tried to create all the the enclosures so that the enclosures resembles the animals' natural habitat. We also gathered detailed knowledge on food habit and other livlyhood habits of the animals and how the zoo authority is managing the things. They have also said that they are planning for keeping Asiatic lions, Giraffes, Zebras and many other animals in near future. It was a nice experience altogether, we enjoyed there a lot.

With Rs 30 entry fee , you would not be much thrilled to see only few dears. Major portions are under construction and probably be something attractive soon with more animals. Even to go to Nature's Cafe inside it , you would require entry ticket. Cafe is decent, tast wise good.

A mini zoo tucked away near Eco park on the way to the Damsa. The main attraction is the birds and newly brought black swans. This is under Alipore zoo, and expanding with more and more animals being added slowly. A good outing for the kids.

We went there after 6pm so the zoo was closed. Went to Nature's Cafe inside, but prefer sitting there in a pleasant weather. We came out, as the weather was humid.

It's kind of mini zoo in Newtown. You can see Macaw parrots, crocodile 🐊, black Swan and Dears. Proposed animals are Bengal tiger, asain Lion, Zebra and blackbuck.

It's a great way to spend a weekend, especially for kids who are fascinated by animals. The ticket prices are very reasonable at rupees 50 for adults and rupees 20 for children aged over 3 years. You can see a wide range of animals at Harinalaya, including giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, deer, and even a hippopotamus. There are also several species of birds, such as macaws, kakatoos, parrots, swans, and ducks. It's a great opportunity for kids to see these beautiful creatures up close and learn more about them. An absolutely wonderful place to visit. Very neat and clean. Entry fees- Rs- 50. Parking - Rs.20 We visited during the last week of Jan 23. Animals were looking healthy and well maintained. Animals available - different bids, Giraffes, Zebras, Crocs, Hippo, Deer. They are expanding and will be bringing in Tiger, lion, different ape species and other animals. Will be comfortable if your are having your own vehicle. Park timings- 10am- 6pm.

Nice collection of animals. Now has become major attraction of Eco park. Separate entry fees needed @50/-. setting arrangements, wash rooms, resturant all available inside the park.

It is a zoo at gate no 6 & 7 of Eco Park. All the animals are not here at present. Girraffe, zebra, many birds, hippopotamus, crocodile are there inside it at present . nicely decorted with different kinda of plants and trees. Outside food is not allowed here. Tickets for adults is Rs. 50/- and under 5 year ticket price is Rs. 20/-. Good place for kids.

It was a nice experience and still there is a lot as construction is in progress. Still now a good place considering a mini zoo. A few child activity would be appreciated like watch towers, ropeway ride above the zoo... etc.

Nice place for a sunday outing. There are many animals and they are expanding more. Parking for 4 wheelers are available just outside the gate. Parking fee Rs. 50. Entry ticket is also Rs 50. Theres a cafe inside, the quality of food could be improved according to the price. A cup of coffee costs Rs 90.

This is the 2nd zoo of Kolkata located in new town. Still the zoo is not fully opened. Work is going on for further extension of the zoo. No outside food allowed. Entry fee 50 rs. per head.
