It was previously or still called Deer Park. It is only 3-4 km away from the main town Jhargram.This zoo is surrounded by forest, or better say it's inside the forest. It's very cool inside even in summer. Things are quite inside , peaceful. You can just go and sit there for long time, no rush. Boating is also available at some specific times of the year, there is a beautiful pond filled with Lotus. Lots of deer are there, birds are beautiful, three Bears are there named Raju, Bulu and Patina. Few leopards , Hyenas are there too. You can adopt animals here. After adopting you have to pay for their expenses and medical needs. Your name along with your photo will be shown in front of the animal or Bird's cage. The environment inside the zoo is best, you will get a pretty good experience overall. No food are allowed inside the zoo, there is parking available outside . The ticket fare now is Rs. 25 for people over the age of 3. The ticket counter is just outside the gate on the left side. Restrooms are available inside, and one local craft store is also present, one store offers food too...and no more stores as for now. Keep the zoo premises clean and beautiful. You should visit the zoo and appreciate the beauty of nature...it's all green 💚

Very nice zoo at Jhargram. It is known as jhargram Deer Park. It is situated at Deer Park road after railway crossing of kadam kanan towards badhgora. After a long time online search for aquarium shop, I finally ended up here. You will find colourful and beautiful fishes here. The place is little crowdy and there is not enough parking area there, so problem occured, but the store has number of varieties of fishes. I took a lot of different species of fishes from there and they are good. And it is a good place for the budget lovers in whole Balasore, or those who are beginners, owner's tips will be useful. Here below is a picture of my Aquarium (L 3ft, B 1.5ft, H 2ft) Fishes:- 2 Shark Fishes, 4 Parrot Fishes, 2 Angel Fishes and 2 Gaurami Fishes.
