Really clean beach. There is cemented walkway beside beach, which is good. There are good shaded places, lots of shops. Beach is quite clean, without many tourists, just local residents. Ample parking space is available. Lot of good street food on beach

Nice beach 🏖️ but it was an small beach don’t expect more while going there .! Because it was quite tougher to find a tea shop toooo🥲😭 we visited the beach at the time of sunset 🌅…! The view was just awesome 🤩 i was so excited to see the sunset over the beach finally it was done at PAYYAMBALAM BEACH 🏖️ ❤️ And i also saw some activity like speed boat 🚤.! It was too much risky and thrilling 🥶😱 ..! You may be fly while travelling its like WOW just wow !!!!! Aged and to carry small kids its not sooo advisable please don’t try to do those.! I Love kerala ,❤️ from TN tamilnadu 😄 Out of 100/100 I took too much of photos and videos there ,i will be posting those soon in my social media . Unwind after a long week by relaxing at this remarkable seashore and find yourself mesmerized by its elegant beauty and contagious calm. The approach to the beach is through a small crossover bridge that is built over a narrow canal. To the right of the bridge are the memorials of Kannur's important political personalities that had passed away over the recent decades. Palm trees and casuarinas embellish the shores like an alluring garland in various shades of green. This pristine golden beach is not only great for relaxing and revitalizing yourself, but also for boating, swimming, and thrilling adventure activities! The rhythmic dance of the turquoise waters is so inviting that you are bound to be tempted to take a dip. Boating and indulging in some adventure sports will allow you to wade deeper into these alluring waters. The Payyamballam Beach spreads its reach for about 4 kms and is nothing short of paradise on earth.

A very clean beache. Can enjoy the place for hours. Has got a walkway. Some granite benches, street vendors for having some snacks. Boat ride and horse riding option is available for public. Kites are sold by vendors and kids are seen flying the same. The memorial park of famous politicians is nearby . Good parking facility also available.

Amazing beach. Beautiful. Swimming isn't allowed because of harsh waves, but can play in the water just not in the deep. There's seating arrangement a little away. Many vendors are around too.

A well maintained Beach. A perfect place for family picnic. You can also go for some adventurous items, if you like. Viewing sunset and sunrise is a pleasant experience

Kannur Eye is first among the many planned improvements at Payyambalam Beach. Located toward the far south end of the Beach, adjacent to the Open Gym, this giant photo frame revolves 360 deg, and makes for some good snaps.

Great photo frame. Here a giant photo frame is there where you can click your awesome pictures. You can turn the frame 360 degrees. It is very strong.

Clean and a fun place to be with family and friends. There are stalls in the evening selling corn, icecream, tea and snacks. Amazing view of the sunset.

Safe and calm beach. Located in Kannur. Good place for relaxing, jogging, playing and eating. Many restaurants, resorts and spas surrounded. Cleanliness awareness will make this beach more gorgeous, unfortunately it is not at all clean and tidy. Naturally it is a blessed place and rest with peoples.

I visit here every year during vacation trip to Kerala. This time I could see a lot of changes and very crowded as well. Beach is nice ,clean and there is parking facility which I felt not enough for the current crowd. You and your family will enjoy every moment on the sand and the waves. Could see and feel good type of crowd. There is a park near this beach and it has an exit towards the beach. Park will be an attraction for the kids.

Its the most beautiful beach in Kannur. You can spend a beautiful evening with your family or friends watching the sun drowning into the queen Arabian Sea. It is a major tourist spot in Kannur district. But still there is no good parking facility, its a big problem, due to this there will be heavy traffic on Sunday evenings. One the other half Payyambalam Beach in the way of big big developments. There are so many tea shops, the road is very good and neat, good seating facilities are available, there is walk way, there are so many dustbin, solar powered automatic streetlights, 3 football turfs, so many beach resorts, apartments, new shops are coming day by day. Also there is speed boat riding though beach upto 6pm. There is also life guards on the beach, the Police is near by the beach so there will be police every time if you need any help. There also good restaurants avaliable in Payyambalam beach. There is also memorials of so many famous persons in Kannur. The Kannur bus stand and Kannur railway station is near with in a 5km range. I hope that the government will find a good way to reduce the traffic by finding a good parking lot. Day by day the number of tourist from outside countries are increasing. The development of beach rises our tourism industry. Its is also a good place for school tour to small children.

Nice place to hang out. There are spots to sit and enjoy. Sea is moderate during seasons other than mansoon. During mansoon sea is little rough. Many shops and play areas including turfs are available.

One of the best beach in Kannur. Parking available by the sidewalk. Make sure you park on the left side of the street if you are coming from Kannur side. Right side parking is not allowed, traffic violation fine up to 600Rs. Lifeguard is watching over the beach. Water activities like boat ride and banana boat is available on the site. There are a lot of small snacks center and restaurants nearby.

The beach was mostly crowded in the morning most the people came there for morning excersise.. And making morning walk. I mostly noticed a factor of plastic waste the Beach don't have hygiene or cleanliness.. Sand were grounded by plastic waste

Not bad experience. No cool breeze and you'll feel sweaty on the seashore even after the sunset. Not much to do on the seashore and very limited good eateries. Roadside stalls are unsatisfactory and not much options.

The long, white sand beach was very clean even on a crowded day (I visited on Christmas Eve 2023). I was pleasantly surprised to see this because many of the famous beaches of Kerala are often littered with plastic waste, food waste etc. The sea here was also quite shallow making the beach perfect for enjoying the water. I loved how there is a raised long walkway (promenade) along the road. This walkway has gazebos with seats from where one can enjoy the good view and wind even without stepping on the sand. On the other side of the road are several play areas for kids, restaurants etc. Overall I found this to be a great beach. The beach also has a designated area for the memorials (samadhi) of many prominent personalities. This is also worth a visit. Cons: 1. The road along the beach is narrow and hence, on crowded days one can get stuck in the traffic. 2. The access to the raised walkway is currently only through steps. It should have ramps also to make it accessible for everyone.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches that I visited. Serene and peaceful. Just the view itself in the evening is healing. I would recommend to go their by evening 4.00 and spend time atleast until the sun set. Beach is large and safe.

Such a calm place..Food varieties like lotta kach( don't know it's actual spelling ) from the first shop at the entrance was really yummy worth for the money, easy vehicle availability to railway station bus stand everything. Friendly drivers. Had a beautiful sunset view with family..😌

This place is just as stunning as ever, and it's one of my all-time favorite spots. But be warned: it can get pretty crowded and congested on weekends, especially in the evenings. If you want to avoid the crowds, come a little earlier.

One of my favourite outing place in Kannur..can visit with your whole family for a good time together..or with your friends for a little hangout..Very near from Bus station and railway station.. parking can be tricky during peak times..dtpc has now made walkways and hangout shelters...have few restaurant near by...not sure of toilet facilities near beach.. mostly kept neat and clean..a must visit for sunset views

The beach is always mood lifter. This beach is more of a happy place for everyone from kannur. The place is perfect for both families, and friends. A photo frame erected at Payyambalam Beach by DTPC Kannur. Visitors can take photos from here. As the waves were strong during monsoon the frame was removed. There is an open gym bear to this frame. Also t a restaurant is nearby.
