Located a few kilometres outside the town of Tulbagh, the Saronsberg Wine Cellar is in a spectacular setting. Their award winning wines are all excellent and the staff preset them very well!

Lovely wine tasting experience. You can sit outside with a beautiful view over a dam and a big lawn with trees. Really relaxing to do a wine tasting and just take in the view. The cheese platter is also very good and we really enjoyed the little spread (I think it was green chilli) that came with it.

A lovely wine estate. Enjoyed their tastings very much and looking forward to opening the bottles we bought. Stunning grounds and pet friendly. We enjoyed the walk around the farm with our fur babies. The art was rather interesting too. 😎

Beautiful Wine Esate and their wines are excellent. Views are amazing - This is definitely a must-see if you are in the Wolseley/Tulbagh area. There is also an art gallery to enjoy while sipping on MCC.

A gorgeously done modern design venue that still felt at home in a natural setting surrounded by rolling lawns, ponds and overlooking the Tulbagh mountains. There was art on display inside. The wine tasting was efficiently conducted with some incredible wines on offer, the range being themed around the earthquake that took place here decades ago. Small cheese platters and nibbles are available. Would definitely recommend!

This is by far the most popular wine Cellar in the valley. We enjoyed a wine tasting and a cheese platter under the large oak trees on the lawn. The setting is beautiful. Art installations inside and outside compliment the exquisite setting. Wine = outstanding. It gets busy so either book a space or get there early. Don’t leave without a bottle of Olive Oil in your bag.

Thouroughly enjoyed the cellar tour with the opportunity to taste a variety of wines. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and the staff are fridndly and helpful.

One of the best wine producers in this beautiful valley. Tulbach is a very underestimated wine region when compared with Stellenbosch and Franschoek, but the quality of the wines from Saronsberg are world class. The setting and views are breathtaking.

Note: We visited in October 2021. They have some good red wines (I can recommend the Seismic) and the art section of the venue is interesting to view, but the tasting experience was poor. We were passed between different waiters multiple times and each time one came by we needed to tell them which wine to serve next. It was not even particularly busy at the time that we were there. We left with the impression that one would only enjoy their tasting if you came to drink wine with no expectation of good service or a host who truly knows the wines you're tasting.

On entering the estate you immediately feel transported to another world, with statues of art that welcome you into its realm of fantasy. Inside the winery boasts a whole gallery for the sophisticated connoisseur and a wide variety of wines to enjoy. If you want a table, you should book in advance, however there is lovely lush green grass to enjoy and don't forget your foto with the lady at the lake.

Wine Estate in a wonderful location. You can do wine tasting while enjoying some of the paintings they have in the cellar

Very inexpensive tasting - 12 wines for R90. Not the best tasting wines. We still enjoyed the terrace surrounded by the gardens and dam

I have been to Saronsberg Wine Cellar on two occasions, once in 2018 and in 2023. Both of my visits were fabulous. Surrounded by mountains and vineyards, one is immersed by natural beauty. On both visits I found the cottages are well taken care of and clean. The cottages do have AC if needed, and there is also a pool outside. The wines are fantastic and there are cheese platters available for snacking. I also really like how there are art sculptures and pieces nestled all over the winery, with the main gallery being in the wine cellar building. I highly recommend visiting.

Lovely 3 star accommodation featuring self catering units. Modern, homely, functional and clean. Wonderful braai room and pool facility. Great wines. Rooms have air con but those don’t work during load shedding.
