Definitely seen more “lone” cypress trees along the 17 mile drive compared to this one. Also we honestly did not find it an impressive sight. The drive is definitely impressive and worth the $10.75 but this pit stop is definitely more hype than real.

It was a wonderful experience to drive around and then stop at these amazing points on the drive. There is so much beauty in nature and this place is a testament to that. When you look at this tree, you can't help but admire its resilience and tenacity amidst terrifying odds. It's still standing majestically as if to say, "is that all you got?".

Very beautiful place on the 17mile drive. It is amazing to see a single Cypress tree on the tip of a rock. Sunset looks very beautiful from this place.

Spectacular view of the lone cypress tree standing against all odds!! Actually you can spot many lone cypress trees along the 17 mile drive, but this baby gets more hype and it lives up to it. If you are a fan of the mighty ocean and the tree, then you might as well stop at this point to check out this amazing view and have your cameras ready. There was definitely plenty of parking spots.

Gorgeous iconic 270 year old tree overlooking the Carmel Bay. I come here to paint it against the coastal backdrop. Around 20 parking spaces and no restrooms so come early on weekends.

This line cypress tree is the highlight of the entire tour. It is a stunning coastline and this lone cypress is the cherry on the cake. If you love nature and appreciate it, you need to come here with some time to enjoy this scenic spot. However, due to its popularity, this is always going to be a house full place.

One of my fav spots in 17 mile drive tours. Limited parking available. You can step down to the deck to get better pictures of the lone tree. Restrooms not available.

It's a pretty point on 17 Mile Drive but not my favorite. It's popular and the Instagrammers were taking it over for their selfies when we were there. While it's a pretty point, I'm not sure why it has been singled out for special attention. I think it's because it's the Pebble Beach logo and it's a marketing plot. But go for the drive and enjoy the whole drive. This is a pretty spot along the way.

Very beautiful spot. Unfortunately it does cost to get through the neighborhood you must drive through to get to the scenic outlook. $12 We lucked out & timed it with sunset. Gorgeous 🤩

It is a really beautiful pot, with many viewpoints of the coast all along. But what about the second lone cypress just nearby? 🥲 He doesn't have any wall protection or ropes to help him stay afoot.

Love it! Amazing way God design His creation. On the 17 Mile Drive, at the 12 point of interest map, the Lone Cypress stands for more than 250 years. You can't missing

The lone Cyprus is a tree on the hilltop farthest into the bay that has been standing, facing the winds. What a beautiful view on a sparkling sunny morning! Lots of parking spots on both sides of the road.

Amazing point to stop with a lot of good views and history behind it. Can easily park there and there is an overlook spot, but the view is probably a little better from the higher point. Really liked this at sunset and the view is unbelievable

This is 100% worth doing. The Lone Cypress is beautiful and the entire drive is like nothing you've ever seen. Extra fun if you like golf

Obtain the iconic shot during the golden hour. Plenty of parking. Enjoy the stops earlier on the 17 Mile Drive.

A stunningly beautiful location. The Lone Cypress standing on a rocky outcrop on the cliffs above the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. The drive along the Pacific Coast Highway to it is spectacular. There is a parking area and a lot of people stop just to take in this spectacular view. It is a great and very calming way to break your journey.

This location is on the 17 mile drive in Monterey. It has great views of the ocean and of course the Lone Cypress. There is another side path that takes you down some wooden stairs to get a closer look at the awesome views. It's a good spot for pictures 📸.

If you haven't been driven, or been to the 17 mile, your missing out. It's breath taking. I could spend hours here taking videos and pictures. It's so beautiful and worth your time, and of course the price of entrance.

Last time I was here the sky was blue and cloudless, the fog added a whole new scenic dimension to this beautiful coastal stop on the 17 mile drive.

Beauty beauty beauty! We reached there an hour before sunset and clouds started to cover the beautiful sunny day. It’s a natural beauty to admire, don’t miss to go down the stairs and spend sometime downstairs. We were lucky enough to not find many others at the same time else it could have felt crowded on d deck. Your fingers get enough work to click those beautiful views all across with your loved ones. It’s very peaceful and loving at the same time. I would definitely recommend to spend a good time here specially towards your end of the drive as it would be quite relaxing. Enough parking so that should not be an issue on a normal weekend.

Beautiful view, you need to buy 17 miles ticket to get there

A beautiful sea shore to visit. Bird rock and seal rock were marvellous. Lone cypress was nature's wonder. The ocean, the sky, the birds, the innumerable seals all made the trip mrmorable.

Iconic. Cannot be in the area and not check this Lonely Cypress out. This is the logo on all things Pebble Beach. A must see on the 17 mile drive. Stop-in, take some pics. Narrow road, limited parking, but definitely do-able. Be respectful of the area, the neighbors. The tree has been around a long time, but nature may ultimately do it in, so see it while it stands. Tourist friendly!

Its a pretty cool tree, we got some nice pictures but the reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was lots of fog. I know it's something out of our reach, but its a factor to consider.

You may recognize this tree as the world famous logo for the Pebble Beach resorts and it was been so since it’s founding in February 1919. Just like the beautiful Torrey Pine in San Diego, this tree is native to this specific area and is not found anywhere else in the world. It’s a true California Landmark and another one of our beautiful native species. The area can get quite crowded with people taking pictures but honestly it is so beautiful that is some thing you need to see at least once. Driving on the 17 mile drive you will pass it as your midway point. It’s hard to sum up in words how beautiful this place is, it’s best to just go for yourself, be quiet, and take in all the natural beauty.
