Going back to my last review. I don’t hate this hospital or anything like that. I’m not telling anyone that they shouldn’t come here. I just shared my overall experience and I loved this place until the day I was balling in tears being to get this medication approved that was denied by the doctor here. It left a very unexplainable feeling inside, heartless is the least to say. However again the staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Giovanni was my absolute favorite.

Our old veterinarian, as you can view my other review on them sadly went to the dark side as the saying goes, and put my family's cats at risk, to where one of my son's cats, developed a very bad infection that required surgery. Our old vet kept charging for medications, over 6 months, but always on order, hence the infection, and needing a reliable veterinarian. Millbrae Animal hospital, had a few good ratings, so gave them a try, and glad I did! He performed the surgery, prescribed medications my son's Tabby needed, that day, not six months like the other place. Their staff is very friendly and professional, and will be bringing my pets here for now on.

Pros: Appointments are often available for the same day and charges aren't very high. Cons: Service quality is subpar. I brought my pet in for a medical issue. Dr. Magrey spent only 5 minutes with us and didn't really do anything except ask a few basic questions (most of which were already asked by his assistant during check in) and poked around with a stethoscope. The assistant then tried to sell me a long list of drugs and tests. In my experience, other vets nearby have given much more attention to my pet and the medical issues and are much more patient with explaining things. I would not recommend this vet.

Excellent service, the entire staff is great they are compassionate & understanding. Dr Magrey had to perform an emergency procedure for my dog. They gave me a price up front. Once the procedure was finished and I was checking out the cost was less. Dr Magrey confirmed the lesser cost was due to not finding anything during the procedure that needed to be removed (Obstruction in the nose). That is integrity not something you come across much these days. Thank you again for taking great care of my dog!

Called four different vets for a last minute appointment for my 13 year old dog who has a ear infection. Not only was Millbrae Peninsula Pet the only hospital that was able to squeeze me in but they actually had two appointments available for me to choose from. Staff was very professional highly knowledgeable about the status of my dog. Really enjoyed listening to the doctor diagnosed my dog just by listening to her body with the stethoscope. Was spot on was diagnosis. In and out in less than 25 minutes with a happy dog. Thank you Millbrae Pet Hospital

My two dogs and cat are new to this practice and we like the doctor and staff very much. It was easy to get an appointment and I feel that the doctor listens to my concerns and acts on them appropriately. The staff are very friendly and efficient.

THE absolute best vet out there! Extremely understand and helpful. They got me in last minute for a health check for my dog before a same-day flight and made sure I wouldn't miss it even though I only had 2 hours left! I cannot express how grateful I am for their amazing service!

My experience at Millbrae was nothing but excellent. My cat and I came in for an urgent need, and all the staff and Dr. Magrey were both understanding and caring. We came home reassured, and I would definitely recommend this clinic.

Millbrae Pet Hospital has been the best for my dogs when I had to go in for emergency issues. Dr Magrey and his staff are great taking care of my dogs, They’re always there for us every time I called in.

My pup had an ear infection and MPH took me in right away. Gave the appropriate meds and she’s all better. Came back for a follow up and I just felt that they genuinely care about my pet’s well being.

This is our second visit and it's always a great experienced for us. We would like to thank our nurse UMESH who did all our furbaby Mimi vaccinations. He was amazing!!! Very compassionate and answered all our questions. We would like him to do all Mimi's future appointments for vaccination. Highly recommended this place to all the fur parents. Thank you so much!

My regular vet was completely booked up and I needed urgent care for my dog. They were able to see my dog on short notice. They were very kind and treated my dog very well. She feels much better now, thank you!

Wonderful place. Acted quickly last minute on a Sunday evening to save my cats life. Straight forward and clear. Showed me the X-ray of his mango sized bladder because he was blocked. He is saved now and can live many more happy healthy years thanks to the team at Millbrae Pet Hospital. They just earned a customer with one more cat and a senior dog at home ♥️

Didnt have a great experience here. I brought my dog in for urgent care due to a dog bite wound on his ear. For context, this is a very fragile old 13 year old dog. The vet placed a muzzle on him and tightened it extremely roughly and really unnecessarily. I had already told him I could put the muzzle on myself. I had told the vet tech the medication he was taking when we came in, but the vet prescribed a conflicting medication and neither of them realized until I asked about it on the fee sheet. They took him to the back room to clean the wound but he came back with bald spots around his nape and fur coming off everywhere, I assume from rough handling. I understand he was probably struggling with the wound cleaning but it seemed really excessive. The prices seemed fair but I really did not enjoy my experience here. I thought they handled my old injured dog very roughly and without much concern.

My cat is really sick and my vet doesn’t open until Monday. I didn’t want to go to the emergency vet for a few reasons. I scrolled down a bit further in my Google search and found that Millbrae Pet Hospital was open. I called and they were able to see us right away. The front office girl and both vets were great. They are very respectful and seemed to genuinely want to help my cat, not get as much as they could from me. I’m grateful for Millbrae Pet Hospital and will take my pets there when needed. Highly recommend this Veterinary.

Honestly very happy and very appreciative of this hospital. I had a last minute booking, literally same day. I was seen for my dog penny who needed an allergy vaccine. I was going to go out of town and knew she needed this and knowing my primary vet wouldn’t take us and most places are close around 6pm. This really came in handy ! Definitely will be coming back and booking with you guys for the future. Staff was also friendly and caring for my dog who isn’t a fan of being at the vet. They approached her slowly and took their time with her.

If your pet does need surgery and an examination of what is wrong, I strongly advise against sending it here! My dog ​​got more damage from a butt surgery! Later, the doctor in this store made a wrong judgment and an astronomical price! Stay away from this store if your pet needs good treatment and care...…

The staff and the veterinarian doctor we're excellent, they treated my little Charlie with kindness and care and because of that they will be my little doggies new veterinarian from this point on. 💯💯💯

Excellent Veterinary Practice - and open on Sundays! My cat had an injured paw and I brought him to MPH. They were great - both the vet techs and Dr. Magrey. They dealt with the injury with kindness and competence. I was very impressed with the care. There is a small parking lot in front of the office and also street parking. The office has a waiting room with enough room that you do not need to sit right up by someone else with their pet if you have a nervous pet that needs more space. The office is just off El Camino, near Capuchino High School.

My dog accidentally broke his dewclaw and our regular vet + nearby emergency vets were all at capacity that day. Called at least 10 different offices nearby me (San Mateo). Millbrae Pet Hospital took us in within the hour after I called. Staffs were all very friendly. Explained the procedure and recovery steps. THANK YOU!

I was looking for a new vet for my 18 yo cat I filled out my info on line (Thursday late night) and received a call back the next day!! (It took 3 wks & 2 voice mails to get a response from current vet from their online apt request /direct calling 🤔) Giovanni was very pleasant and had a welcoming attitude he offered next day apt - they are Open on weekends but I choose a Monday 6:00pm - (last apt of the day) Come Monday night Giovanni was there to check us in and get cats vitals while Dr reviewed latest vet info from our emergency visit to North Peninsula Vet Emergency Clinic on North Amphlet in San Mateo - their incredibly detailed report on my cats blood work etc gave Dr a good look into the care he required…. I will be having eye surgery and require someone trusted to give my cat his subcutaneous fluid treatments until I can see properly to do them myself … All in all I felt very comfortable in their ability to care for my old guy - wait till they meet the Girls (2 female young cats 1 &2 yo)

They provide great care and are easy to work with. I appreciate how the vet always does a more thorough examination than what I bring my dog in for. I feel my bias for what a problem might be doesn't influence the diagnosis

Took my senior cat for a checkup after not being to the vet for years. Vet was knowledgeable and recommended we run bloodwork. They had availability same day and were willing to take the time to review all the exam results and information. Excellent service.
