I recently had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful Yamunatheertham Resort. The resort is located in a picturesque setting, surrounded by lush green paddy fields and majestic Areca plants. We wanted to stay out with family. It was a great time. It would be good to go between June and August if you love rain and swimming in pond. We went on October, by then the pond which you see in pictures get dirty and unfit for swimming. They didn't clean it for us. We paid around 8k for a day for two cottages. The small outside backyard space of cottage is awesome. No restriction for liquor as well. Overall experience: nice.

Yamunatheeram is one of the best resort to select for a weekend staycation or friends/ family get together. A place with lush greenery and a pond in the centre of the property. A place with a positive vibe.. chirping birds and songs from temple in the evening.. a perfect place to relax.. Cottages and dormitories are available at an affordable price. The manager Mr Mukundan is very friendly and the hospitality is commendable. The food was of good quality and the overall service was very good.

Yamunatheeram is the best choice to select in kannur dist for gathering with your family friends or collegues. Its ambience is so superb. Staff service and cottage excellent. Food very tasty.

A great place for a quick break. Well planned and maintained property. Homely food doesn't really feel like a hotel food. Cooperative staff. This place provides ayurvedic treatments as well. Individual houses needs a bit of maintenance. Lots of lush greenery and a big natural pond. Good place for family get togethers as well. Can even plan one day outing with family.. this place is full of areca palm trees and a big paddy field over looking the individual huts. Overall a great experience.

I had a wonderful stay with my family at Yamunatheeram resort. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, they took care of all our needs and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. The food served at the multicuisine restaurant was simply delicious. The beauty of the surrounding area was breathtaking and the rooms were spacious and well-maintained. The staff was polite and courteous throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and at home. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience.

One of calm and pleasant stay in a rural area in kannur

I must start by saying excellent location and good staff. But the casual behaviour on management is loosing on the opportunity to make it look like the best. Cockroaches, frogs and lizards in the room certainly don't give a good experience. Food is good but few pointers like no sweet dish etc. I hope they make efforts to get the rooms free from these insects and roaches.

I was there for an evening for a function. The location is not ideal for a function. The function was arranged right in front of the reception. They don't have a dedicated space for any function! There were no rest rooms nearby to the reception and elderly folks were asked to walk nearest cottage which is far away. The food was really bad and exhorbitantly costly. The staff is hugely under trained as they don't have basic knowledge of how to serve. No proper cutlery and they were serving icecream and fruitsalad in a plate ! This place is a complete let down for me.

This hotel was sold not long ago, and it is now completely neglected. So whatever positive reviews you see earlier on, they are not relevant any more. Everything is dirty and filthy in the rooms, no kettles, no AC remote controls. The property is not clean, garbage etc. There is absolutely no service. None. Nobody came to clean our room in the 3 days we stayed there (maybe for the better!!). Whatever you ask, they say “yes”, “yes”, and just disappear. Horrible experience! Never even think of staying here.

The vibration of the place has a lot of positivity. Rooms are awesome with some of them having fantastic paddy field views. Binocs with a drink in the viewing gallery attached to the room is just perfect! Food is very homely. F&b Nikhil looks after you very well. Manager Mukundan is almost everywhere at the same time looking into every detail. The ancient 'kund' in the property is worth a swim in. Ammal the restaurant hand is always smiling and serving. Extremely peaceful place right for a breakaway. I'm sure gonna come back. It's set aside a residential area so it's just quiet all around. A temple plays songs from 5pm to 6pm but that's OK. One feels like one is living in an areca nut forest. Lots of birds to watch. Super!

In the midst of the current Covid chaos, we were fortunate to find this peaceful and quaint place, Yamunatheeram. This is not a typical hotel, but a resort that overlooks a huge paddy field and is full of areca palm trees. The grounds are full of greenery and the individual accommodations are adequately sized cottages which have a unique sit-out from where we enjoyed the sun setting behind the paddy fields. The staff are very friendly, always cheerful and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The room service boys are willing to run to and fro to get you whatever you need. We preffered to have the traditional food, however, you can tell them to cook as per your preference and they will prepare it. Anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing time in a scenic setting, should definitely visit.

24/4/23 night we gone to check in. We booked the resort to get satisfactory service. Jithesh a person who came to do the check in procedures was the aggressive offensive front desk manager ever. And he made us wait for couple of minutes and never felt welcoming from his end. He literally treated like as if we are staying for free, he was so mean! Iam staying in the same resort for the second time. I came here again expecting the previous nice experience. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, other staffs behaviour and loved the food.

This place is awesome, staff is really good and very friendly and food gets customised as we need. The cottage is well maintained & top notch. The ambience is super. The cottage is in midle of bamboo trees and has excellent views. Access to resort too is easy. A photographer's delight place. Go for it without, you will have no regrets. Special thanks to Nikhil for making sure we are comfortable.

We were in Yamunatheeram for 3 days in the month of May. It was an awesome experience staying in the Storyteller's grove. The ambience is great. The greenery, the rocky terrain, the pathway between cottages and the pond with an ethnic feel - in short, a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The homely food adds to the total experience. Mr Baburaj and the other junior caretakers need special mention. It was my first trip to Payyannur and hoping to come back again with my family.

It was a good experience to stay at yamunatheeram. Food was very good. Place had a serene atmosphere.. enjoyed every moment at the resort with my friends.
