Wonderful botanical garden, one of the oldest in the world. Great curation and arrangement. -The tropical section of the greenhouses has a well designed two tier system where you can really appreciate the size of the trees. - look out for their understated cactus collection! You can find some in the “maze” garden section near the center. - lots of discounts available for students, seniors etc so check when you’re buying tickets. Well worth checking out if you want to spend a quieter day in Padua.

A very pleasant place during the boiling summer weather with refreshing tiny fountains where you can sit down and relax while contemplating the marvellous surroungings. The interactive exhibition is a great fun for children and adults as well.

Hugely overrated. It's the oldest botanical garden in Europe, but there's not that much to be seen there during the summer. Friendly and helpful staff.

The garden is not very big but is a nice place to walk, to admire the plants and if you are more interested than that you can actually learn new things about the plants and the trees...

Peculiar in its own history, this university botanic garden is a unique pearl. Plants are divided into groups in different sectors, e.g. poisonous ones are on the bottom west side of the inner court. Free map available after paying the entrance ticket at a convenient price of 10 euros. Goethe palm is the most curious heritage bit. The internal museum guides to the main scholars that helped this institution grow and blossom. Closed on Mondays.

This place is a must if you are in Padova. 10€ for entrance, discount if you are a student. You can really enjoy the serenity of diverse plants from all over the world. Just sitting on a bench brings so much peace. There is also a small interractive museum inside. And of course don't miss "La palma di Goethe" and the story behind it. Really a wonderful place, enjoyed every minute.

Amazing place!! It's free for UNIPD students everyday. There are tons os different species, including a section of those which were brought to Europe by the University itself (such as potatoes, sunflower and agave). One of the nicest things for me is that life is thriving in this place. You can see lizards and other small animals enjoying the diversity of plants. There's also some interactive spots where you can learn more about the origins of each species and the spread of plants around the globe. 10/10

The Unesco botanical garden has a beautiful outlay, main area being round with several labyrinth like parts. It was October and some of the plants were tired, but in the greenhouses most were green. The new greenhouses bring the modern touch and they are fantastic. Good experience, 10 euros per ticket.

Wonderful! You should take at least two hours for this beautiful and interesting park. Don’t wait for last minutes before closure as it gets a bit dark. It was perhaps hotter in the closed part of the park (green house) in the afternoon compared to morning hours. Next time I would rather visit it in the morning. We are family of four and we payed just 20 eur as it was free for children under 13.

I wanna be honest with the garden, if you don’t have a very goos knowledge in herbal medicine, probably you’ll get a little bit bored but anyway : if you have it, this is a Must View as you’ll learn a lot and can confront almost 2500 types of different plants. So yeah. The missing of an audio guide rend the explore of the place so hardly.

We enjoyed seeing the Botanical Gardens but it was definitely focussed on the University and students for education. They have pretty strict rules regarding pets. They are not allowed, only service animals. One worker was quite strict with my son who just happened to be running down one of the paths about 10 meters in front of me. She told him to stop running and I don't put up with that. He was not harming anything or even touching anything. We go to every botanical garden we can and this was the first one where we felt watched. Profit based botanical gardens are better than university Botanical gardens. In my humble opinion. The history of place was cool. We appreciated the break from the scorching heat. Thank you to HEX Crypto for making this trip possible.

We took a side trip to Padua and ran into the botanical garden by accident. It was an absolutely delightful surprise. It has the best green house I have ever visited. The garden houses so many specie of plants with many that I saw for the very first time and may not see them again. Well worth the 10 euro admission.

A beautiful oasis with many species of green life. Some rooms are locked and the app didn't help me at all.

As part of the trip to the University and museum I visited the gardens. A really lovely place just to enjoy peace and quiet and nature even if you are not particularly green fingered.

Historical Botanical Garden featuring the Goethe palm tree, a 500 years old specimen, which is really impressive. Medicinal plants, fountains, flesh-eating plants, giant nenuphars, towering magnolias… it is totally worth it and a very relaxing experience.

Not so much to see, but it was a cozy walk and beautiful plants. Took around an hour to get through it.

Very different botanical garden and very educational. All plants have their names and they are very well kept. On my opinion the entrance tickets are too expensive and the facility has very few number of toilet and no water fountain to the visitor. I have been in other gardens good as this one for only a symbolic ticket price.

What a wonderful place. This is my favourite botanical garden. We spent the whole morning here but it was still not enough to explore this place. Thumbs up for those who designed the museum. Many interactive multimedia for visitors to learn about the amazing and interesting world of plants. The modern green house is great too. 10€ for the entry fee is definitely worth it.

ideal for everyone who loves plants and likes to explore different species from all around the globe. the historical botanical garden is nicely laid out and taken care of. you can even learn about prehistoric farming and how it came to be. a definite must go if you're visiting padua/padova.

Super expensive, considering the preservation of the place. It's sad for someone who loves biodiversity to visit such a poorly-preserved place. We found a lot of plants full of ants, around 5 asian hornets (they not only eat bees, but are also dangerous for humans), thirsty plants and so on.

Beautiful garden, perfect for gardening enthusiasts. An entrance ticket must be purchased. Unfortunately, part of the garden was not accessible during our visit. The rest was indeed very pretty but quite tiny. Unfortunately, we were not informed of this limitation when we purchased the tickets which would have been nice.

Well, it's very popular to visit but I didn't enjoy my visit that much. It's the oldest university garden in the world. For this reason, in any case it's worth visiting but maybe my expectation was too high, I don't know but it didn't meet my expectations. I attached 2 pictures also, so I don't think it's more than the pictures but if you are in Padova, you should visit this unless you don't have very limited time.

Great place but some parts were closed and I wish they disclosed it before entering. Great afternoon in nature!
