Vinyasa
YogaShala
is
a
great
choice
of
school
for
your
200hour
Teacher
Training!
*The
School;
Building
and
Surrounds*
The
school
is
located
in
a
quiet
location
up
a
slight
hill,
away
from
the
main
road
(there
were
many
schools
around.
Though
I’m
very
happy
I
chose
Vinyasa
Yogashala.
It
felt
very
authentic
and
genuine)
Also
the
fact
that
it
was
away
from
the
main
road
is
a
huge
plus
as
it’s
not
noisy.
There
are
also
several
cafes
near
by
to
go
have
chai,
food,
study
or
chill
with
the
other
students.
You
also
have
the
mountains
as
a
backdrop
and
you
can
watch
the
sunrise
just
before
your
first
yoga
class
of
the
day
which
is
so
magical!!
The
main
common
area
was
the
dining
area,
though
it
wasn’t
exactly
Great
for
chilling.
There
were
lots
of
books
you
could
borrow
if
you
wanted
to
do
extra
reading
The
yoga
room
was
very
nice.
Fully
equipped,
well
lit,
well
ventilated
and
spacious.
I
used
to
go
there
to
study
sometimes
during
free
time
when
I
didn’t
want
to
stay
in
my
room.
*The
Rooms*
Clean
and
spacious.
I
had
a
room
to
myself
which
I
highly
recommend!!
(You
are
so
tired
sometimes
and
you
need
some
alone
time)
I
was
given
a
blanket
and
pillows.
Though
you
need
to
bring
your
own
towel.
*The
Team*
The
teachers
and
support
team
are
what
make
this
school
great.
They
are
such
lovely
and
genuine
people.
They
were
really
there
to
help
you,
support
you,
guide
you
and
just
wanted
to
share
the
knowledge
that
they
have.
It
never
felt
like
a
money
grabbing
scheme,
it
felt
authentic
and
like
you
were
part
of
a
yoga
family.
The
conversations
we
had
inside
and
outside
of
class
were
really
motivating,
inspiring
and
changed
many
aspects
of
my
thinking
for
the
better.
And
of
course
some
of
the
chats
were
light
hearted,
funny,
friendly
and
made
me
feel
so
so
happy
and
content.
*The
Classes*
We
learnt
Vinyasa
(morning)
and
Hatha
(afternoon)
Pranayama,
Meditation,
Yoga
Anatomy,
Yoga
Philosophy
Yoga
Alignment
(for
2
weeks),
Mantra
Chanting
(for
one
week)
,
Teaching
Methodology
(last
week).
At
first
when
you
see
the
timetable
you
think
you
have
lots
of
free
time.
I
would
recommend
using
that
time
in
the
first
week
to
explore
Rishikesh,
(markets,
cafe,
get
some
massages,
there’s
also
a
secret
waterfall
up
the
hill).
After
that,
for
the
second
and
third
week
you’ll
be
using
that
time
to
rest,
recover,
study
and
read.
*The
Excursions*
The
school
was
extremely
clever
in
giving
us
our
day
off
on
Wednesdays
instead
of
busy
Sundays/Weekends.
We
had
the
most
amazing
excursions,
which
really
did
make
the
whole
experience
more
special.
Great
bonding
for
students
and
teachers,
laughs
had
and
great
memories
made.
We
also
had
some
beautiful
ceremonies
some
evenings
at
school
which
were
splendid!
*The
Food*
The
food
was
okay/good.
The
breakfasts
were
delicious
and
varied.
The
lunches
and
dinners
at
times
would
seem
repetitive
just
having
rice
roti
dhal
and
a
mix
veg.
However
when
you’d
feel
tired
of
the
food
there
are
lots
of
lovely
cafes
around
to
explore.
However
I
generally
ate
at
school
most
days
as
the
food
was
light
and
you
didn’t
want
to
be
eating
heavy
oily
and
too
spicy
food
before
and
after
yoga
classes.
*Overall*
Choosing
a
yoga
school
was
very
overwhelming
and
daunting!
So
I
suppose
the
best
thing
you
can
do
is
read
the
reviews.
If
you’re
reading
this
review,
I
recommend
you
book
this
school.
They
will
give
you
your
moneys
worth
for
200
hours
in
Rishikesh.
And
as
mentioned
earlier
the
whole
team
is
so
lovely
and
caring.
Also
our
class
wasn’t
too
big
(which
I
think
is
very
important!
I
wouldn’t
chose
a
school
where
there
are
more
than
15
students)
(Do
note,
you
will
feel
like
200
hours
is
not
enough
and
too
short.
This
is
just
the
beginning
of
the
journey.
The
school
is
just
giving
you
the
tools
to
help
you.
The
actual
hard
work
starts
after,
going
out
to
practice
teaching
small
groups/
family
members,
learning
more
from
other
teachers,
reading
more
books.
There’s
so
much
one
cannot
cover
in
just
200hours
so
we
need
to
continue
the
learning)
