Amazing place. One of my favorite spots and definitely a must visit if you are in Valencia. The complex was designed by Santiago Calatrava and the architecture is just amazing. It includes different buildings, each one really beautiful and overall is a great place for pictures and for taking a walk. I bought a ticket that included visits to the science museum, a movie and the aquarium. I do not think the entrance to all of these it's worth it, but you can try, specially if you come with children.

Amazing place. Even if you don't visit any of the buildings there, its still a great place to just take a walk and enjoy the amazing architecture. You can take a boat ride, grab a quick drink or sandwich at the small food stand. There is a small park there where you can sit on the grass and admire the view. I visited l'oceanográfico, it was nice. The kids would enjoy it the most, I think. It takes about 2-3 hours to fully enjoy it, and taking your time at each room.

These amazing futuristic buildings in Valencia are a must see. We visited on a cruise and the shuttle bus dropped up in the town centre where there are plenty of historic buildings to view. But I wanted to see the HEMISFERIC structure and other "star trek style futuristic buildings" and WOW WOW WOW. Thanks to Google maps and a cheap local bus ride to get us there.

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is an absolute must-visit destination. This sprawling complex is more than just a cultural hub; it's a fusion of art, science, and nature, beautifully encapsulated in striking modern architecture. Each building within the complex is a masterpiece, drawing your attention with its innovative design and aesthetic appeal. The site encompasses a museum, an aquarium, and a cultural center, each offering a unique experience. The museum is a treasure trove of knowledge, ideal for those keen on science and technology. Meanwhile, the aquarium is a journey through marine life, making it perfect for families and nature enthusiasts. The cultural center, with its variety of events and exhibitions, caters to a broad range of interests. But it's not just about what's inside these buildings. The surrounding area, with its lush greenery and water features, creates a serene environment that's perfect for leisurely walks or sitting back to soak in the scenery. It's also a fantastic place for bike riding, with paths winding through the stunning modern landscape. In conclusion, the City of Arts and Sciences is not just a highlight of Valencia but a symbol of modern creativity and innovation. It's a place where you can spend hours exploring, learning, and simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Whether you're visiting the museum, the aquarium, or just wandering around the complex, it's an experience that's both enriching and visually spectacular.

The architecture is incredible. Each of the structures has distinctive features but maintains the space age style of the site. You can buy a range of entrance tickets depending on which attractions you wish to visit, the oceanographic being the most expensive. Also, it's only possible to enter the Opera House as part of a guided tour at set times. If you feel adventurous, you can hire a board or boat and shoot around the lake for a while. Each place is fascinating and worth a visit. You can also go in and out of the Science Museum as many times as you please during the day.

Amazing place. It looks like it’s from the future and I love it. You need to spend a full day there to really enjoy. I spent most of the time in the museum of Science and I loved the concept. There was a section for history of music, for the earth and mars and also different experiments you could try about a lot of scientific subjects. It is very educational and fund for children and people of all ages. I had fun.

My visit to Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias left me with mixed feelings. The exterior of this architectural marvel is undeniably cool, promising an exciting exploration of science and arts. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm took a nosedive upon entering the Science Museum. As someone who generally enjoys Science Museums, the inside of this one was a major letdown. The exhibits lacked the engaging and interactive elements I usually look forward to, resulting in an experience that felt, for lack of a better word, boring. Given the captivating allure of the outdoor surroundings, I found myself wishing I had spent more time enjoying the exterior beauty of the complex. The suggestion to skip the indoor museum and opt for activities like renting standing paddle boards is intriguing, and in hindsight, it might have indeed added a more enjoyable dimension to the visit. While the exterior of Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias deserves all the hype, the same can't be said for the Science Museum's interior. If you're a fan of outdoor activities and want to make the most of your time, I'd recommend soaking in the stunning architecture and opting for the suggested standing paddle board adventure – it might just be a more enjoyable way to spend your visit.

I totally agree that this is said to be the watermark of Valencia. Absolutely astonishing architecture! It feels as if you were in a science-fiction film. If I could, I would give it 20/10!

I provide the review for the complex only.. as we did not have time to go inside the premises. To be honest, the architectural designs are extremely amazing. I cannot describe how it really impressed me. You can see from the pictures and video. The best is to experience the complex in the afternoon and enjoying the sunset to take pictures. We love the water entertainment too. Definitely in love with this place in addition to the paellas 🥳

Beautiful architecture and color scheme! It has many things to see and do. And is always full of people tourists, locals and students in large groups. The exhibits inside the water spaces are beautiful pierces of art. There are several shopping and eating places within walking distance.

Special place, different and a must visit if you are in Valencia. Well served by means of transport and 10 minutes from the center. Futuristic structure, you can visit the botanical garden. the science museum, the innovation pavilion and what is on offer in the period you are in. Unfortunately, we came across a short period of exhibition and we still appreciated the architecture, the beautiful swimming pool with the equipment that you can rent. A moment of relaxation. You can also rent bicycles to go to the park next door or visit the exhibition space which is very large.

If you like Architecture, photography, and wandering around in warm weather then this is probably the place for you. The architecture is amazing and provides countless photo opportunities. The only downside was that when I visited (mid June 2023) there was a stage built by the science building that obscured many views and I understood it was there all summer as they had a number of concerts planned in the space. Also, at night it appeared that a lot of the lights went off at 10pm, and only the opera building seemed to leave the lights on later.

What an incredible treat to live in a city where such a massive area is available to people to walk, jog, take children into a large, safe space, do yoga, read, etc… Each section itself is pretty amazing, each with similar but also pretty unique architecture, and the place and all its bodies of water make for a pretty magical place to spend a few hours.

Visit just for the architecture. Gorgeous and futuristic design on all the buildings. We bought a 50 buck pass for all, oceanographic, hemisféric and museum, and I'm sad to say it was underwhelming. We went as a young couple, there's were screaming children everywhere, in a 36 degree heat. We tried to do it all in a day, buy maybe it was too much. We enjoyed the oceanographic, but it was very full, even on a week day. The museum, despite is futuristic design, had very simple exhibits. And the hemisphere is cool to try, but the technology is already a bit dated, and a bit pricey. Overall, I recommend it as a good scroll just to see the buildings and if you have kids.

Absolutely loved this place as the glass and skeleton like architecture goes so well with the water surrounding the buildings. The buildings and gardens are maintained well and they are very clean. We happened to visit when there was a Christmas market which was lovely as they had a variety of food stalls and gift shops. We didn’t enter any of the buildings but a walk around here and the park is a great way to spend the day!

This was a great museum. Options for reading or interacting in English everywhere! Hands on activities were really cool. My daughter sat for almost 2 hours watching a bird trying to hatch out of an egg. Lol One of the workers in the music section of the museum stopped to show us how to work one of the exhibits which I greatly appreciated! We didn't have enough time for everything because of the egg watching and we came late but we'll come back again someday and see the rest! Definitely recommend this museum.

The complex is very big, and I believe you need more than one day to see everything. If you have time and plan to visit more than one place, it's better to buy combined tickets. Also recommended to buy the tickets in advance. And even if you don't go inside any place, you can enjoy the outside and admire its Arquitecture. In this case, I recommend renting bikes (they have options there) and spending the afternoon to see the change of colours at sunset

Inside | Need to buy a ticket. Was a bit boring with a lot of kids running around and trying to break stuff... Although, all interactive examples and educational exercises were really interesting. Would recommend to come with kids to help the pass the day ;D Outside | Free to walk around. I think there's nothing much to tell. You can see from the photos of others that it looks really amazing :))

During my holiday in Valencia I visited Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias with my girlfriend. We wanted to visited this place because when you see the skyline of Valencia you always see these buildings. When you go there the best way of doing so is by food when you are staying in the city center. I can recommend that you first go walk to the normal park. This because it don’t feel like you are in the busy city. And when you walk true the park you can slowly see the  Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. This is better than just go there by bus or car. The buildings are very modern and the place is very clean. We were here during June and it was not as busy as I thought. This could be because of Covid. When we came there the sun was very hot. This in combination with the mostly white buildings and streets this was causes. There are a few bars were you can drink and have a small meal. It is better to bring also some water with you when you visit this place in the summer. Summary: I think it is a must see when you go to Valencia because it is one of the iconic parts of the skyline of Valencia.

An exquisite piece of art and in my opinion the best place to experience a sunset in Valencia. To witness the sunset here was one of my best experiences from Valencia, it was just astonishing how the sky would change just in a blink of an eye and how beautiful it was reflected in the water from the swimming pool. A shooting here is definitely recommended for a life long memory of this place. Truly beautiful!

This place is a must-see in Valencia. Even if you don't want to enter the the opera or Europe's largest aquarium, you can easily spend a couple of hours in that huge area of Ciutat de les Arts I les Cièntes. The modern architecture is just amazing. Every building is inspired by Valencia's geographic location near the sea. Wander around and have a look from different angles. It's totally worth it. I recommend to walk from the city center through the huge public park that used to be a river in the past. Take some food and beverages with you. It takes about 30-45 minutes of walk to reach the Ciutat de les Arts I les Cièntes.

The architecture here is brilliant. The science museum was not for us (I wrote a separate review for that). We wanted to book a guided tour of the music venue, but they were sold out. The aquarium was fantastic. We really enjoyed going (I also wrote a separate review of that). Overall it was a nice area to walk around, and several of the venues were fantastic.

Definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting Valencia. Made up of several museums and an aquarium and a garden area is makes a great activity/ day out for families/ friends/ tourists. We bought access to two of the centres (the science museum and the aquarium) for about €30 and spent the whole day there. Even worth checking out if you don’t pay for access into any of the buildings as the architecture is wonderful and lots of art on display outside

The most fabulous place in the whole of Valencia. You will not see anything like it anywhere else in the planet. It is unique. Magnificent futuristic structures are a sight to behold, it is awe inspiring, beautiful crystal clear shallow pools surround each building, stretching out along the old central river which used to flow through Valencia city many many years ago. The magnetic science museum is a fantastic place to bring your kids. You will not disappoint, hours of fun and learning. This building has been used for many a movie. The next building along which looks like an eye surrounded by water. .is the 3D Cinema. ..another treat you should not miss out on. Behind it is the Opera House. Jaw dropping. To the other side of the Science museum is a Bridge that looks like a Harp. Behind that is another beautiful building like and elongated dome which is not in use and passing that you reach the Aquarium. ..you Must..must visit this place. The whole river bed has been turned into a Park. Each section of the river has been carefully designed to cater for all its residents. Just strolling around the building s is enough..so wonderful. At night when all the lights are turned on..it's magical.

This is an impressive structure by famous architect/structural engineer Santiago Calatrava, known for his modern, clean cut designs. It is certainly one of the main focuses of the city of Valencia as it draws attention from every angle. The overwhelming composition of white building and clean water makes for an aesthetically pleasing site, worthy of pictures from every angle. The complex features a museum, an aquarium (the biggest in Europe) and an art palace among other things. We visited during Christmas so there was a market with several food spots. Definitely worth a visit to this modern building.

This was the third time visiting the complex and it never will stop to amaze me. In this particular opportunity. This time I dedicated it to the space photography because the light was really beautiful that specific day. Designed by Valentian architect, Santiago Calatrava, the complex of 4 buildings and 1 vehicular bridge stands among the rest of the city for it innovative and futuristic landscape. However, not all in Valencia, regarding architecture, is about the City of Arts and Sciences. The city is a really great example of a place thought for the pedestrians and bike riders. ll the city is connected in such a magnificent way that you can spent all day walking in order to know it better.

Fantastic structure with a futuristic architectural style. On the first floor i liked the area dedicated to music and at the third floor I enjoyed interacting with the things in this area. Next to the museum there is an artificial lake where it's possible to rent a jet-ski. Surely it deserves a visit and in my opinion all this area is one the most beautiful of Valencia.

I saw this place on Westworld season three in 2020 in Nua. I had to go there. It feels right out of the future and it’s so much fun to walk around and explore the different buildings. Our family had a great time exploring the aquarium and could’ve stayed for longer.

A Marvelous Fusion of Art and Science I recently had the extraordinary opportunity to visit the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) in Valencia, and I am utterly blown away. This architectural masterpiece seamlessly blends the worlds of art, science, and technology, resulting in an awe-inspiring experience that left me enchanted. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was captivated by the futuristic structures that house an array of attractions. The Hemisfèric, with its mesmerizing planetarium shows, transported me to distant galaxies, while the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum engaged my curiosity with interactive exhibits that made learning an adventure. The Umbracle, a botanical garden with panoramic city views, was a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling complex. But what truly stole my heart was the Oceanogràfic – the largest aquarium in Europe. Walking through the underwater tunnel as sharks and rays glided overhead was nothing short of magical. The attention to detail in replicating various aquatic habitats was astounding. Whether you're a lover of art, a science enthusiast, or simply seeking a unique experience, Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is an absolute must-visit. Every corner holds a surprise, every structure tells a story. My visit was an unforgettable journey into the realms of human creativity and innovation.

The family at AtlasAdventured highly recommends visiting here! We visited the Museum of Sciences in Valencia, Spain in July of 2023. This is definitely a must see if you are visiting Valencia! We purchased our tickets inside the museum the day before. You can purchase tickets the same day, but we wanted to ensure we had a spot for our 4 year old daughter to participate in the “Scientist for a Day” and the 3D Dinosaur show. Our general admission tickets into the Science museum were 8 Euros, the Walking with Dinosaurs: Prehistoric Planet 3D show at L'Hemisferic was 4 euros (because we bundled the tickets), and the Scientist for a Day tickets were 3.50 euros (but you need to purchase a general admission ticket in order to participate in this event). Great customer service from the staff at the ticket desk. Super friendly and helpful, and gave us great recommendations on bundling the tickets and what would be best for our daughter. Our family had the best day here. There is something for everyone, and the majority of exhibits are hands on! Next time we visit Valencia, we will gladly be coming back here! It’s affordable, fun for all ages, and a great break from the heat!

Great architecture and it is probably the best sight to visit in Valencia. It's free to walk around the outside too, where you can take photos. We were staying in the city centre and walked down Turia park to get there which itself is worth visiting. The previous route of the river is now a park. We were there near Christmas and there was a Christmas market with mulled wine etc which was nice in the evening. We visited Oceanographic and the science museum. Both worth seeing but a lot to fit into one day.

What an impressive area with imposing modern architecture by star architect Calatrava! Absolutely worth a visit to see a stark contrast to the historical city center of Valencia. Beautiful place to visit, especially with children. A lot different things to try, to learn, to explore. Try to make complete day free, as half-day will not be enough to give attention to every part of museum. Also strong point is architecture of museum itself, gallery and buildings near by. A lot of impressions from everything.

You can experience a cutting-edge world of arts and sciences at this futuristic complex on the outskirts of Valencia. The City of Arts and Sciences is one of Europe's most impressive centers dedicated to cultural and scientific exhibitions. In a two-kilometer space along the Turia River, the complex includes several stunning examples of avant-garde architecture. It is designed by architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

I feel each time deeply touched and brought into contact with the divine, with God. Each time I feel elated, inspired, my heart is expanding it makes me feel happy from a very deep place. I would say this place is transmitting eternal love joy and peace. Santiago Calatrava definitely transmitted Gods Love through his artwork and is touching millions of people in their heart. It's definitely one of the most memorable parts of visiting Valencia. It's a beautiful, surprising place that's a must to be seen if you go there. Even if you don't get to visit any of the museums inside, you still get a lot by just walking around the place and taking in the sights. All the buildings are made to be able to go through them and see the architecture inside as well, and I recommend doing that, as you walk through the Ciudad.

I must congratulate the city of Valencia for this extraordinary endeavor called City of Arts and Science. This is an amazing demonstration of how an old city could also look very modern and elegant. All buildings lay on Túria riverbed and were designed to look like a giant fish swimming in imaginary water. We enjoyed the 3D cinema, the Science Museum, and the Oceanogràfic in a row. There is something to please for everyone!

Great science museum at an affordable price. If you have kids, this is the place where they can find or expand their interest for science and engineering. The space activity is a nice add-on for only 2.5 euro extra.

👍👍 The Oceanographic is divided into several sections, another of which we went to see with my granddaughters was the area set in the fauna of the Mediterranean. We enjoyed the circular installation where 9 aquariums are located, where fish, cephalopods, Posidonia meadows, among others, are combined. A...

👍👍 The Oceanográfic has things you have to visit, the Beluga area is one of them, especially because they are the only ones of this species that can be seen in Europe and they are here. Located in a gigantic igloo 12 meters high, which consists of 2 levels. In the upper part we saw it from above and in...
